Snowden Appeals For Asylum To 15 Nations, Even As Putin Swears To Never Hand Him Over To US
While the situation for Edward Snowden remains uncertain, Russian officials report that he has handed them an appeal to 15 nations for political asylum. As the LA Times reports, an official noted, "Snowden reiterated once again that he is not a traitor and explained his actions only by a desire to open the world's eyes on the flagrant violations by US special services." This somewhat desperate act follows what Russian officials describe as "Ecuador disavowing [Snowden's] political protection credentials," though we have seen nothing confirmed by Ecuador (yet) especially in light of last week's strong anti-US rhetoric. Russia's President Putin just proclaimed that "Snowden isn't, has never been a Russian agent," and added that Russia doesn't plan to extradite anyone.
It appears that Putin wants to keep the situation somewhat civil for now...
- *PUTIN SAYS NO INFORMATION ABOUT SNOWDEN LEAVING RUSSIA
- *PUTIN SAYS SNOWDEN ISN'T, HASN'T EVER BEEN RUSSIAN AGENT
But perhaps this is the most telling...
Via Reuters:
Putin says if Snowden wants to stay in Russia, he must "stop his work aimed at harming our American partners"
Via The LA Times,
Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who leaked U.S. security secrets and is now a fugitive, met Monday morning with Russian diplomatic officials and handed them an appeal to 15 countries for political asylum, a Russian Foreign Ministry official told The Times.
“It was a desperate measure on his part after Ecuador disavowed his political protection credentials,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity. ”In the document Snowden reiterated once again that he is not a traitor and explained his actions only by a desire to open the world’s eyes on the flagrant violations by U.S. special services not only of American citizens but also citizens of European Union including their NATO allies.”
The official didn’t disclose the countries that were on the list. The meeting took place at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport, where Snowden has apparently holed up in a transit lounge since fleeing from Hong Kong while seeking a route to Ecuador or somewhere else that might grant him asylum.
Kirill Kabanov, a member of the Presidential Council on Human Rights, a Kremlin advisory body, said he believes that Russia is on the list.
“In the given circumstances, Russia has two workable options: Firstly is to provide Snowden with some refugee-status papers so that he could buy a ticket and leave for some other country, or secondly to grant him political asylum,” Kabanov said in an interview with The Times.
“Snowden's actions were motivated by a desire to protect human rights and freedoms and now many rights activists in Russia are talking about him as a human rights advocate who deserves to be granted asylum, although this measure is fraught with some political inconveniences for Russia,” he said.

Fuck you and your police state Obama!
Clearly, Putin recognizes that Hussein Obama is a delusional marxist.
So, while the Statist scum in Washington hunt this man down like a rabid dog,
the cowards and fools of the DC press corp have nothing useful to say on the subject.
There must be a special place in Hell...
Have to love the fact that Snowden's taking them on a wild goose chase and confounding them at every turn.
It's the best form of entertainment, frankly.
It's the best form of entertainment, frankly...
He's currently the lead goose in formation. It's gotta be a bit exhilerating to be a focal point on the world stage without the formal backing of a Soros or Bernank. I hope his calm, seemingly authentic dedication to preserving human dignity by eliminating the ubiquitous collection of individual historical data for purposes of coercion, prosecution and even marketing will be successful.
Who will be next lead goose?
Yeah, hopefully more people will be inspired to come out and dismantle the police state from the inside.
Clearly, goose chases are a crucial tactic because they work on multiple levels. The media spectacle is particularly important. Snowden actually screwed up a bit by revealing his identity too soon and providing a target for the commies in the TV news to focus on.
Build the media story - the wilder the goose chase, the better.
Please answer: Are you aware that "Savage Left" is a mimetic PSYOP paid for by Glenn Beck, or are you an idiot?
We'd like to know.
Man, you seem like one angry chap; life of the party, eh?
This little episode has helped expose the majority of politicians on both sides for what they truly are. Those who are applauding Snowden are vastly outnumbered by those — Left and Right — who are calling him a traitor.
The collusion between the government and private corporations that we're calling 'PRISM' represents the carefully hidden face of the fascism we've allowed to creep up in the shadows all around us. The idea that the act of voting could change anything now seems rather quaint. Whether corporations have captured the government or governments have captured the corporations is irrelevant.
The point is that our institutions of government have been corrupted beyond repair. The only solution is to raze them to the ground and start over.
That sounds like something Karl Marx would say. As the Egyptians found out, things can get much, much worse after such nonsense.
A better solution is to eviscerate centralized power by repealing the 16th and 17th amendments.
You say Karl Marx, I say Thomas Jefferson.
Fair enough - just pointing out that Jefferson built upon the institutions of English law and jurisprudence, he didn't raze them.
Marx's notion, on the other hand, was that the way to the perfect utopia was the destruction and razing of Western civilization.
Know Thy Enemy
I'd like to share your optimism, but the stable foundation this country was built upon has been picked apart piece by piece and replaced by a heaping pile of shit. There's no "salvaging" or "repairing" left to do because the foundation is no longer here. There's nothing left to build upon except the shit we've inherited.
We've let it go on for too long, and now it threatens to collapse on top of all of us unless we do the smart thing and rebuild it from the ground up.
I don't think the intellectual ability exists to rebuild it, frankly. In a place where the likes of Al Sharpton are given more credibility than a bag of hammers, there's absolutely no chance that something along the lines of the United States Constitution can be written again.
Where the mass TV media exists, there can be no Madisons, Jeffersons, Tocquevilles, Montesquieus, Lockes, or Hamiltons.
If the Constitution is lost, it will never be reclaimed. Therefore, piece-meal reclamation is the best way ahead - starting with the repeal of the 17th and 16th amendments.
The Constitution was written in so-called "plain language" that everyone at the time could understand. Those who still understand it today are few and far between, a sign of this country's intellectual decay, but they do exist.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), it's my belief that before any repair or rebuilding can occur, the country will likely "Balkanize" into smaller pieces along ideological and cultural fault lines.
ETA: We live in a country where seemingly every amendment except the 16th and 17th is under attack on a daily basis. This very article concerns the death of the 4th Amendment. It seems a bit naive to believe those two amendments — so integral to the State's consolidation of power — will be repealed any time soon.
It is going to collapse. Nothing can prevent that from happening now. The house is structurally unsound and cannot be repaired. Our options are controlled demolition or collapse. Both require clean up and a complete rebuild.
Who knows.
I found this analysis, by Victor Davis Hanson, to be pretty interesting as well. It documents the parallels between today and the Romans ca. 200 AD:
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/352103/glue-holding-america-togeth...
This dude doesn't see the lack of glue in my neighborhood.
He must live in one of those nice gated communities with a little guard in a nice little guard house....and of course a golf course out back.
I see people becoming unglued!
I don't mind VDH. But he admits without flat out saying it, the US is not a Republic, it is an empire. The financial problems of a failing currency and social problems of failing families cannot survive by a common culture. This country will still exist after the next financial crisis and still after the final dollar implosion, it just won't be the same for people outside the capitol area whether it remains in DC or not. Same thing with Constantinople. When it was finally taken out by Venetian financed crusaders, the wealth looted from that city was unimaginable for the time and that was 1000 years or more after the Republic had died.
You say "stable foundation", I say pathetic shoddy window-dressing sorry excuse for thousands of years of statist oppression which opened the way to Federalism and the cancer we have today, making a mockery of words like freedom, liberty, and justice.
It's all part of the same disgusting statist tradition; even orthodox Marxism has an entirely statist political program indistinguishable from any other. Raze it to the ground.
+1 even though you're disagreeing with me.
As I said below, I sense you're a fellow Lysander Spooner fan. But while I agree that the Constitution is obviously imperfect (we wouldn't be in this position if it could prevent such extreme centralization of power), I disagree that it was created under false pretenses.
For the most part, the founders of this country intended to establish a rigidly limited government, and while they made some rather glaring errors and were hypocrites in many respects (slavery being the best example), they did "improve" upon the idea of government, at least as much as one can "improve" upon something that is, by its own nature, inherently flawed. This gave us some fleeting sense of stability.
But as we've seen, "improvements" in government are always temporary; the default state is tyranny, and the system will always wish to revert to that state. It certainly doesn't help that the citizenry have voluntarily given up much of their liberty. This, in my opinion, has been the primary reason we've lost the stable foundation, however tenuous it may have been. Raze it to the ground, indeed.
Remember when we were Citizens and not Consumers?
You mean the Days of Yore? That was before my time.
Knowing who ghost-wrote Marx's tomes, it is obvious that The Plan is for the latter.
Edit: @McMolotov above ... I'm in full agreement with F.Bastiat on this one ... repeal of the 16th and 17th is the quickest and easiest (and IMO, only) route to disabling DC. DC cannot be 'changed', only 'terminated'.
16th Never was,, fixed it.
On January 10, 2008, the Federal District Court in Chicago issued a permanent injunction against Bill Benson on the grounds that by offering information demonstrating that the 16th Amendment was not legally ratified, he was promoting an abusive tax shelter. The Court then refused to look at the government-certified documentary evidence, deciding instead that the facts necessary to prove his statements true were "irrelevant."
What has America come to when the government we created to protect our rights can accuse us of lying and then prohibit us from presenting a defense in a court of law?
. . .
Watch the Benson Video
The Premise
The federal government rests its authority to collect income tax on the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution—the federal income tax amendment—which was allegedly ratified in 1913.
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
—The 16th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America
After an extensive year-long nationwide research project, William J. Benson discovered that the 16th Amendment was not ratified by the requisite three-fourths of the states and that nevertheless Secretary of State Philander Knox had fraudulently declared ratification.
It was a shocking revelation; it reached deep to the core of our American system of government.
The Discovery
Article V of the U.S. Constitution defines the ratification process and requires three-fourths of the states to ratify any amendment proposed by Congress. There were fourty-eight states in the American Union in 1913, meaning that affirmative action of thirty-six was necessary for ratification. In February 1913, Secretary of State Philander Knox proclaimed that thirty-eight had ratified the Amendment.
In 1984 Bill Benson began a research project, never before performed, to investigate the process of ratification of the 16th Amendment. After traveling to the capitols of the New England states and reviewing the journals of the state legislative bodies, he saw that many states had not ratified. He continued his research at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.; it was here that Bill found his Golden Key.
This damning piece of evidence is a sixteen-page memorandum from the Solicitor of the Department of State, among whose duties is the provision of legal opinions for the Secretary of State. In this memorandum, the Solicitor lists the many errors he found in the ratification process.
These four states are among the thirty-eight from which Philander Knox claimed ratification:
"What has America come to when the government we created to protect our rights can accuse us of lying and then prohibit us from presenting a defense in a court of law"
Full circle, except the circle is a dot, so it never moved at all. Wake up.
That was Bill Benson not me!! You say to me wake up? Fuck you.
Thanks for reminding us about the non-ratification of the 16th, G ... which also reminds me that the solution doesn't lie in any way in DC. They have 150 years of implied consent behind them and will never vote themselves out of even one iota of centralised power ... whether it was gained unconstitutionally or not. Further, as security, the AshkeNAZIs now have a total lock on the SCOTUS.
IMO, as I have stated here many times over the past 3 years, the only solution is a mass secession by a number of states ... else The Plan will continue unabated.
People pay attention Amendments? When did that start?
I like this one and this one...but these, eeeew, those got to go!
The 16th and the 17th centralize power in a manner completely contrary to the spirit and the letter of the Constitution.
And what exactly does the Constitution do if not centralize power under a single, homogenous, tiered, hierarchical statist structure of oppression?
What you say is only coherent inside the delusional world where the Constitution and the American government "derived from it" (ignoring the blatant contradiction - what, did the Constitution author and ratify itself?) are, somehow, magically, ex nihil, uniquely in all human history, "good" government.
The mental acrobatics one must perform to rationalize such insanity!
The Constitution attempts to mitigate the deletrious effects of centralized power through a system of horizontal (three branches) and vertical (Federalism) checks and balances.
The four biggest lessons of Madison's Constitution are, IMO:
- Still too much power provided the Executive, we now have a 4th branch of unelected bureaucrats under the executive
- Amendments (e.g. 17th) can be used to destroy the intended structure of the Republic
- Tax power can be used to institutionalize coercion
- Commerce regulatory power tends to be abused
A better Constitution would reduce the power of the executive, eliminate the power for amendments to be used to fundamentally alter the structure of the Republic, eliminate the income tax except for emergency cases where 4/5 of the states approve, and reduce centralized regulatory power over commerce.
I sense a fellow Lysander Spooner fan.
LOL SNOWDEN IS A FOOL.

Snowden has alredy suceeded in his self proclaimed mission and is ready to make the sacrifice. He will get asylum somewhere and that will be icing on his cake. He'd probably do best to stay in Russia instead of some little country that could be invaded by he "Great Satan".
So for the past several weeks we have benn learning that the US federal government spies on every single form of communication and you are telling us tha they could not catch two dickheads that they already knew about when they entered the country running around with heavy pots they mysteriously pulled out of their asses on that day.
Emotionally, I'm with mcmolotov, intellectually I'm with Bastiat. I've seen the insanity of civil unrest, and those who think having the military involved in a revolution would be fun/patriotic/honourable have no idea of the broken lives, countless deaths of innocents, and homeless refugees who will never feel normal again. It's always the innocents who suffer the most in war. A protest of peaceful noncompliance is something I support and try to practice.
Then I see parents picking up pieces of their kids after another Obama drone strike, another farmer/business owner committing suicide after being hounded by a multinational, glossy msm blurbs praising Israel as the zionists steal more land, bomb more kids, turn off water and electricity to Gaza to laugh at the Arabs wading in their own sewage so desperate for supplies they dig tunnels to smuggle medicines for their kids in that giant open air concentration camp. I see the alumni of GS taking key positions in central banks, even in my own country, to slash and burn and steal and enslave anyone who already isn't one, like a monstrous version of a Wonga payday loan at 5786% apr. I see my naive notion of communicating privately with friends and family violated by criminals, every thought and word I post expected to be twisted and perverted to blackmail me later. I see all these things and thousands more every day, and I think, yeah despite my lifelong aversion to violence as a solution to complex problems, maybe a revolution is long overdue in the corrupt cesspool of incestuous banks/corporations/politicians/govt agencies in DC and Wall St.
Revolution, not even fire bombing that area would clean it up. What hope does a revolution have? Best to let it run the course and collapse under it's own delusions.
A bidding war for free speech?
Just so, Plad.
The truth, stated simply and without malice, is its own defense.
From our first revolution.
Meanwhile 47 (confirmed) women were gang raped in Egypt last night....Now back to your regular scheduled programed propaganda.
At least the Arabs finally realize that Hussein Obama is a fraudulent Muslim who supported the 2010 Arab Spring solely as a model for the "inevitable" overthrow of capitalism by the "Occupy" marxist revolution.
They called him a 'house negro' almost right away. It's the west that doesn't have eyes to see.
No question.
It's been known, since the Roman empire at least, that mulattoes tend to be seriously delusional.
Outside the West, Hussein Obama's considered worthy of nothing more than a padded room.
Please answer: Are you aware that "Savage Left" is a mimetic PSYOP paid for by Glenn Beck, or are you an idiot?
We'd like to know.
Frankly, it's not clear what that has to do with the delusional nature of mulattoes - an observation traced back to the Roman Empire - that Thomas Jefferson documented in Notes on the State of Virginia.
Is staying on-topic too much of a distraction from your goose chase?
the term is "house niggerr". At least that's what Harry Belafonte called him right after he was elected
Well, as Jefferson documented - it's the mulattoes who tend to be the most delusional. The simple truth of that observation is easily reinforced through daily experience.

I hate to say this, but:
a) Surprise, surprise, lookie where I found the draft PDF located. [Warning: Badly written PDF]
b) It's from the same website you keep pumping, "Savage left".
c) Are you Aaron Harvey? Looks like he's a media construct of Glenn Beck's: Aaron Harvey stated that when he went through his son's backpack that he found a note written by his son in crayon reading,“I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure..." [The Blaze April 12th 2013]
Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, I smell the blood of a badly executed Glenn Beck media-PSYOP. Seriously, you chaps are so out of date it's not funny. (And if you're trolling that website on ZH for free, I feel bad for you).
By the way, "Savage Left" shares an IP range with some awesome other sites - I love the anti-Islamic one, and the bio website for this chap which uses the following SEO words to garner traffic: Keywords: hewlett-packard, teen, lesbian, youth, homosexual, transsexual, transgender, queer, sonic solutions, wyse technology. His bio is seemingly impressive: the clientele he's going for, probably less so. Hmm, let's check another one: Edge City Networks - specialists in operating Hotspot Internet Access systems for bases, troops and contractors in the war-zones of Iraq and Afghanistan. Same guy owns this site on the same IP, so we've probable ID confirmed.
Oooh, spooky. Now it's time for tea. Sorry if I doxx'd anyone. OPSEC is disappoint.
So, if you need this spelling out for you: MIC contractor on the government gravy train is trolling ZH with Beckian spam, pretending that he's a radical revolutionary. He may-or-may-not be F.Bastiat, but he's no longer the fast young gazelle he once was. You could ask him: Network Solutions PO Box 459 Drums, PA. US 1822. Either way, his business line seems at odds with his politics, funny that.
And remember: F. Bastiat is the one "controlling this ride"; just be a little careful where his train is coming from. Spoilers: it ain't authentic pro-constitutional land. He clearly doesn't think he's a pawn, which means he probably knows a little more about what's really behind "Savage Left" than he lets on.
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.

Please stop the irrelevant wholly miscomprehended Nietzsche quotes, my sides can't take it.
Ok, last chance before I bother to nuke your stupid ass from orbit. Because, you fucking muppet, you're ruining someone elses' fun, and they have far larger pockets than you. Hint: You're costing ZH cash with this shitty American Right wing retarded level propaganda shit that flies with the boomers on the Drudge report, and it'd be nice if serious money could still read the blog without fucking retards like you spamming the shit out of it with mentally retarded mimetic dross.
If you're attempting to front for the large money business that surrounds Glenn Beck, and the "rabid right" in America, and the MIC cash that flows into it, then please be honest. F.Bastiat was clearly, and obviously, caught in attempting to fabricate a Glenn Beck media outrage. Did he do it deliberately? Well, I'd hope so, because otherwise he's a fucking tool. I obviously only published the "LEGAL" and "OBVIOUS" tells, do you think that his net security was that good? Trololol.
Now fuck off.
You? Well. I do admit to enjoying some of your free-roaming critiques of the American civilization, which is why you're still around. Oh, and you really don't understand Nietzsche. The tell is that while I can quote him, and use him accurately, you cannot. Try it, my little toothless husky, try it: try using Nietzsche properly, and I'll slap your muzzle so fast you won't have time to howl. I dare you to attempt to throw a quotation out.
p.s. If you're not careful, I'll personally call up your owner and ask them to chain their dog inside for a couple of months. Now fuck off, you boring, wet, pathetic and toothless dog. Last warning. Oh, and last response, ever, you boring fucking dog. Don't forget your fucking place - you're chattel. Owned. Bred. Chained. Collared. Now fuck off before I demand you're neutered.
Why are you so angry? Just curious.
I'm not angry, I just play on a different plateau to you.
“A concept is a brick. It can be used to build a courthouse of reason. Or it can be thrown through the window.”
Oh, and enjoy the gift of the "Cop kills Dog" meme today: it's called proving your constructed events ain't close to the QM weaponry stuff: Totalitarianized burnt in effigy, you get a real world effect. Call it a freebie.

Now that you've figured the whole thing out, I'll put @GlennBeck right on it.
Of course, in case your advertising gig doesn't work out, you've clearly a very bright future in digital forensics.
+1 for the humor (and no, I'm not advertising).
About all we know for certain, I suppose, is that Hussein Obama is a delusional marxist.
Where in the world is Edward Snowden?
Exactly! It's kind of like that game "Where's Waldo" although this time it's Where's Snowden.
WARNING: The National Security Agency is likely recording and storing this communication as part of its unlawful spying programs on all Americans … and people worldwide. The people who created the NSA spying program say that this communication – and any responses – can and will be used against the American people at any time in the future should folks in government decide to go after us for political reasons. Putin to US: I'll be nice about this...go fuck yourselves, gently.
He is a hero and if he comes back to the US for a trial I hope his support is overwhelming. http://tinyurl.com/pp588mj
He'd be foolish to come back to the US. There is zero chance of a fair trial here. He has already been tried and found guilty by the media, The MIC and the whores in DC. He'd be better off in just about any other country on earth than the US.
And lots of the women in Russia are like, freaking hot! Fuck going anywhere else.
But don't you realize that the NSA violated our constitutional rights has given us safety? We should be proud of the NSA. I'll bet their agents jerk off listening to private phone calls. Look at the stellar job they did with the Boston bombers.
Harming our american partners....welcome to the NWO bithcez where Russian troops will be "helping out" on American soil:
http://www.prisonplanet.com/russian-forces-to-provide-security-at-us-eve...
This really is a perfect example of what we're all in for. If someone stands up to TPTB, there is literally nowhere in the world to hide. NWO is already here.
There is no way to physically fight them since they have all the weapons and most of the sociopaths. The only way to fight the system is to starve it. To check out. To not play the game. To cease being a spoke in the wheel. Non participation will bring the entire corrupt broken fiasco to a grinding halt. Unfortunately, that would require a level of cooperation from the American people that simply seems beyond our grasp at this point. Too many are too indoctrinated to see what is happening is wrong and dangerous.
I guess that was my long winded way of simply saying: We're fucked.
>> We're fucked.
There's nothing you can do, IMO, to change the trajectory of this nation, at this time. All you can do is control your own life and surroundings. That, in a big part, is why I bailed out of the system with a determination to never pay any federal or withholding taxes again. For three years I've been successful. I feel like the rat in that photo of the rat shooting a a bird to the hawk about to snatch his ass. So be it. I'm doing all I can do as a citizen to resist, legally, a government, and a value system, run a muck. Not everyone can do what I did, but everyone can resist to their maximum ability. Enough grains of sand in the lubricating oil of the mightiest of machines will eventuall bring it down.

exactly LTER, which is why the idea that there is a "currency war" is lunacy, which is why there wont be any world war 3...................every major nation and their central bankers have been coordinating and navigating the economic downturn with the utmost cooperation........rickards is naive................NWO is here.........nobody is stepping too harshly on anybody elses toes right now because every leader knows the cascade of a meltdown leads to domestic trouble all around the world.............and no leader wants this......
I agree with everything except for the war part. I can't imagine how WWIII can possibly be avoided given the need of TPTB to purge the planet of so many unemployable (given the economic picture) young men.
Sure, it might not look anything like the first two, but that doesn't preclude it from becoming the largest proxy war we've ever seen.
Besides, part of the NWO is the death of the nation-state. Otherwise all of the effort put into the facade of the UN will merely retain its outlier presence. I fully expect it to be the primary global governing body by the time I grow old.
If the globalists were set upon retaining nation-states, they'd put a bit of a restraint upon them, rather than letting them all go full retard. They will be put into place, much as the sovereign states of the US were after King Lincoln's centralization of power.
Never let a crisis go to waste. The powers-that-be will avoid conflict at all costs unless it serves to increase their stranglehold on control. The "coordination" you talk about is the clearest sign to me that we're drifting inevitably to some sort of world currency, the ultimate wet dream for globalists.
Fools like you said the same thing about WWI ... and again about WWII.
War is just business, really good business, when you control both sides, own the banks that finance the wars, and control the companies that produce the tools of war. They also distract people, kill useless eaters, erase debts, shift resources, let various interests buy up assets at firesale prices, and keep everyone in line.

I can imagine Putin is taking great pleasure in making Barry Sotoro & Co. squirm.
Each night he probably huddles with his team, a bottle of Green Label / Green Mark, some dense bread and Solyanka to plot the next day's humor.
Come to think of it, Snowdenovich is probably probably there as well.
Hahahahahahahahah
This is an obvious joint venture of the British MI6 and the Russian SVR. Snowden is a limited hangout patsy. Sordid details here:http://osnetdaily.com/2013/06/in-2009-ed-snowden-said-leakers-should-be-shot-then-he-became-one/
By the way, Russia has won a big round in an almost two-decade battle with the West over the flow of natural gas from the Caspian Sea. Putin proibably wants to leverege this and play hardball vs. Obama: http://osnetdaily.com/2013/07/russia-won-the-long-battle-of-pipeline-politics-but-now-what-does-it-do/
Great article, portrays who are not to be trusted:
shorts stocks, likes gold, supports Ron Paul, supports 2nd amendment.
FEMA camp for everyone who matches the profile.
(whether it is actually true that Snowden did write these doesn't matter, it's the intention behind a leak like this that is the motive)
Putin says if Snowden wants to stay in Russia, he must "stop his work aimed at harming our American partners"
The only "harm" Snowden has brought to Putin's "American Partners" is directed to a sociopathic, sczhophrenic clique of handlers in our government.
It will be up to WeThePeople to go after our "Wash DC partners" ...with a vocal vengence.
Indian news reporter does newscast from a flood site where 1,000 people died, riding on the shoulders of an 'untouchable' so as not to get his feet wet.

LOL!!!
Social progress in action.
LOL SNOWDEN IS A FOOL.
He is totally screwed cuz no one wants his stupid little ass.
What an asshole...two weeks after the BOSTON BOMBERS blow up 250 AMERICANS
this little twerp starts his plan that ASSUMES THERE IS NO REASON for all surveillance.... DOUBLE DUH!!
Idiot.
Ass.
Fool.
Troll.
the Russians are not interested in endorsing what Snowden is doing. it should have been clear to anyone if you only considered that the Russians are doing exactly same type of surveilance on its own people. they are not interested in attracting attention to what they are doing.
strange country your us and a... why isn't Barry in jail already..?? impeachment anyone??
Will Snowden get German citizenship??
http://germanywatch.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/will-germany-grant-citizenship-to-their.html
the US gov is hemorraging fast, the rest of the world body, help with it bleeding dry.
What ties Snowden to Benghazi potentially and in turn the NSA.
Read on and yes I am going to post the full article even though some people think it is intellectually dishonest to censor someone else's writings and questions asked are valid considering the information we do know publicly so far. But the opposition doesn't like hard questions or any competition.

High-ranking officers in the United States military are being replaced by the Obama administration and for a number of dubious reasons. The latest is General John Allen, who was embroiled in the Petraeus affair.
The following are the military officers who resigned under or were removed by President Obama:
General David Petraeus is perhaps the most visible military officer removed under President Obama. As Tim Brown of the D.C Clothesline summarized well: “Back in November General David Petraeus resigned as head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), claiming that he was in an adulterous affair, which was discovered by the Federal government snooping through his and his mistress’ emails. This came on the heels of Benghazi being blamed on a YouTube video.”
The timing of the removal of one of the nation’s most honored military minds, on the heels of the Benghazi scandal, is what makes this a most unusual case. Petraeus effectively disappeared from the national scene overnight.
The latest to resign under President Obama is General John Allen. On Tuesday, the president accepted General Allen’s resignation, and ostensibly over Allen’s sexual involvement with Jill Kelly. The Pentagon, however, did not allege misconduct charges against General Allen for an exchange of explicit pictures with Jill Kelly. Allen said his resignation was to “address health issues within his family.”
General Stanley McChrystal resigned in June 2010 after a Rolling Stone article written by mysteriously “disappeared” journalist Michael Hastings caused a controversy. McChrystal had batted down Joe Biden’s “counter-terrorism strategy,” saying it would lead to “Chaos-istan,” which landed McChrystal in hot water with the higher-ups.
On June 17, 2013 Hastings blasted an email “FBI Investigation, re: NSA,” which said that he was onto a “big story” and he needed to “go off the radar for a bit.” He also advised Buzzfeed to retain legal counsel. Less than sixteen hours later, Hastings died in an early morning car crash at a high-rate of speed. (These are the facts and people can make of them what they will.)
As Investor’s Business Daily wrote: “Gen. David McKiernan, the four-star who lead U.S. ground forces during the successful lightning Iraq invasion. He was asked to resign command of allied forces in Afghanistan just four months into Obama’s presidency in 2009. Never fully explained, but the implication was administration dissatisfaction with the war’s progress.”
General Carter Ham was removed from his position as the top general at AFRICOM on October 12, 2012, obviously due to his actions on the night of September 11, 2012 during the Benghazi terrorist raid. General Ham, who was the Commander of the 2011 US-NATO operation to topple Gadhafi in Libya, reportedly disregarded a “stand down” order issued from above and ordered the launch of an in extremis force to rescue the eventually slain servicemen at Benghazi, Libya. Regardless of the exact events that night, he was almost immediately removed from command. General Ham has not been called to testify publicly on Benghazi.
Also involved in the military (non-) response to the 9/11 anniversary attack was Admiral David Gaouette. He was replaced on October 27, 2012, according to Military.com news, “pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment.” As reported by J.B. Williams, Gaouette also received, and disobeyed, a stand down order issued from above. As Williams claims, “Gaouette readied vital intelligence and communications operations for an extraction effort to be launched by Ham.” A Navy spokesman, however, declined to comment on the Admiral’s removal. Gaouette has also not been called to testify publicly about Benghazi.
Retired Marine General James “Hoss” Cartwright is currently the focus of a probe for “allegedly leaking classified information about a covert cyberattack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.” The former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who is 63, retired in 2011, after having been cleared of all wrongdoing in yet another sexually suggestive affair.
Here is the key part
What is the red thread connecting several of these cases? An NSA whisteblower (Edward Snowden is only one of four major NSA whistleblowers) Russel Tice claims that the domestic spy agency is wiretapping and carrying out surveillance on top military officers. Listen to his interview below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DmN80yi5mo&feature=player_embedded
Whether or not this is true, and it certainly seems the NSA has the capability to do this, it raises several questions about the manner that several high-ranking military officers were removed. Is there any manner of entrapment or blackmail being carried out on military officers, who subsequently refuse to testify openly and honestly over sensitive national security matters?
The deafening silence over who exactly issued the Benghazi “stand down order” that plausibly resulted in the deaths of two CIA servicemen (who also disobeyed stand down orders) and the reprisals against administration whistleblowers suggest that a thorough public investigation into such matters is of utmost importance. If the federal government is being abused to silence critics of the administration, or if it is being wielded against those who refuse to carry out illegal and immoral acts, representative government demands not just investigation, but decisive action.
Russia, give the man asylum, already!
Putin has to be just loving all of this. Me too, but I wish the guy was safe and sound somewhere.
The scientific dictatorship is ideologically amorphous. Their policiy is "the end justifies the means". They are singularly result oriented; whatever it takes. The Soviet Union was not communist, it was a scientific dictatorship. Putin is as much a facilitator of the scientific dictatorship as Obama. Obama works for Walmart.
We haven't seen one picture of Snowden since his video interview. One would think that some journalist or someone with a cellphone in Hong Kong or Moscow would have snapped a pic and put it on the net.
He's the most famous dude in the world at the moment and not one picture? I find that odd in this day of non-stop surveillance.
There was an article last week describing the transit hotel in Moscow as basically a prison. You go to your room and wait for your flight out. Maybe a little exercise in the hall is permitted.
A million articles can be written by Snowden with info provided by some government or another. We've seen nothing of him since his video interview.
Trusting any government at its word is foolish without proof. I want to see proof that this guy even exists.
I agree with your assessment. One video which could have been anywhere was released.
ES could be an actor.
This may be a way of warning us before they begin charging people with crimes which they would never have been caught at had it not been for this intrusion of privacy, monitoring of communications, purchases, travel, networks. Evidence in court.
Also, I believe other leaders were aware of their citizens being surveyed and recorded in every aspect of their lives for the same reason but are playing "dumb" to divert the attention off of them.
Cleansing is to begin. "You are with us or against us."
we are ALL Bradley Manning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFFkcCh-pCc
It's sad state of affairs when THERE IS NOT A SINGLE NATION who has the decency to protect someone like Snowden. This world and the present version of this human race is NOT DESERVING of people like Snowden and sacrifices made by them. We will get tyranny, beacuse WE DESERVE tyranny. Period.
Canada, the country with a heart (which provided a sanctuary for Charles Ng, with his partner Lake, who abducted, brutally tortured, tormented, raped and killed an entire family, protecting him from extradition to the US due to the death penalty) has nothing to say about this? Oh Canada...where do your loyalties lie?.
http://goldsea.com/Features2/Chamber/chamber8.html
"After being advised of his Miranda rights, Ng admitted that he met Lake in Cosner's Honda on Geary Boulevard in San Francisco," said a 1986 affidavit filed by one of the officers. "Ng stated that he (Lake) had just shot Cosner, whose body was in the car."
During the extradition battle between American and Canadian officials in 1989, news reports surfaced about a series of grisly drawings Ng had created in prison. The drawings have not been released to the public, but sources said they contain details that only someone intimately familiar with the Wilseyville killings would have been able to produce.
One of them was reportedly titled, "25 Years Later," and pictured Ng sitting in his prison cell surrounded by drawings of the people he had killed, with their names written above each picture. Another reportedly depicted the parents of Ng's victims leaving a coroner's office, carrying away the remains of their children in body bags.
An identified man who said he met Ng while serving time at Fort Leavenworth told reporters that he had spoken to the suspect several times on the phone in 1984 and 1985, conversations in which Ng allegedly described his killing spree and asked for advice about how to conveniently dispose of human bodies.
The man said Ng told him that he and Lake had once played a game in which they released a prisoner and then hunted him down like an animal. "They let him think he was getting away," the man said. "Ng laughed and said, 'The dumb bastard walked right into our fucking arms.' He was all proud of that. He told me: 'We let him scream and squeal for a while. Then we wasted him.'"
Must have taken all of Putin's training to keep a straight face. That is funny as hell. I wouldn't call Snowden a hero but I hope leviathan doesn't have its way with him. The state has become a power unto itself so any opposition to it is welcome. It has become the greatest danger to all of us.
"Putin says if Snowden wants to stay in Russia, he must "stop his work aimed at harming our American partners"
My Russian is a little rusty but I think this translates to:
You got hot potato of information belong to us!
