You ever hear of a print shop? I have done business with 4 or 5 different printing shops in my neck of the woods that were able to, quite quickly I might add, design and print a variety of banners and posters for me. I have used these banners to help in petition initiative drives, differnt marches, and protests. The signs/banners are cheap, as the print shops are plentiful. And don't give me the third-world country bullshit. Egypt is very metropolitan and I can guarantee you they have shops that will print shit for people. Chances are these shops might even be doing this for free, as they probably side with the people too. They have computers and running water and everything outside of the US you know.
Where you've gone wrong is your assumption that everyone there is just some kind of day laborer that lives in a hovel. I would assume many of these people are business owners (signage included).
And as so many other posters have noted: Speaking one language is uniquely an American problem.
