Anderson is part of the g*y Al-CIA-da division out of Georgetown/Langley.   Another Operation Mockingbird puppet.    It would be funny to see Chris Matthews get a military trial and a noose on TV but the US Military is run by MIC and Mika Brezenski's dad's bosses.

The US Top Military brass are more concerned with their pension, golf game, weapons systems budgets and cheezy whores like Jill Kelly the Lebanese sl*t with an Irish name and that Paula Goodwell or what ever her name was.  They got boob jobs and set up dumb generals.  The USA is a joke now.

Americans who watch O-TV and O-Hollywood support being serfs.  Stupid ******g sheep.

The Egyptians learned the power there is in united opposition to tyranny. They are using that knowledge to accomplish again what it was successful in doing just a year ago.

Tyranny is tyranny, and oppression is oppression regardless of the facade it is wrapped in, and the Egyptians seem know it when they see it. Too bad the citizens in the western world don't see it.

Well, actually, no.  The press was already fully corporate owned, just like Obama, when he took office.  I think if you take a critical look back, it was the Republican right which championed the consolodation of the press.  You know, you can't stand in the way of higher corpoate profits.  Of course, that was back when we had two parties with two somewhat opposing positions. Now we are one big happy authoritarian corporate fascist state.  If you don't like getting trampled by the jack boots, stay out from underneath them.

social unrest is great, for the stock market and the elite. Central banks must flood the market with more trillions so the political elite can enact larger entitlement programs to buy social peace. This week delay Obamacare, next week free college, next week free housing, next week free cable. Its never ending. Its related to automation sweeping the world, eliminating millions of full time jobs worldwide leaving billions with nothing to do but protest and demand more entitlements. Think about it, the elite will have to go into hiding if the central banks stop printing but more billions if the central banks print. Its going to continue for years, before inflation/barter starts.

Sliced Chix

Add: Black Pepper, Dry Mustard, Thyme, Cinnamon, Allspice, Habernero Sauce (No salt needed).

Stir in: Brown Sugar, Honey

Simmer, stir until pan is carmelized - then hit heavy and hard with any cheap Louisiana style pepper sauce to de-carmelize the pan. Simmer only until the vinegar smell is gone.

Chix should be just a bit dry and sauce should be a sticky glaze. Serve on Sourdough buns.

Grill or bbq?  We grill quite often.  Bbq is something we generally go out for, and I rarely go out.  Usually it's "to go" 'cause I won't go to a restaurant without my dog, or when we're on a road trip and want to try some local fare. And sense I'm fairly strict on watching my fat intake, bbq is a rare treat.  I just gave away a bunch of beef ribs because they are just too fatty for my system.

I don’t care about Morsi but I don’t like it when the military grab power by force anywhere in the world.

If you like that than I hope it happens in your country and you’ll see what it means.

The United States might be far better off with a military man leading the way. You know, someone that actually follows the oath to the Constitution and would pull our troops out of this fucking mess we're in?

US troop suicide rate continues to climb in 2013. Over one a day now. That is insane.

I think elections are just frauds for the most part. I mean at most they give you a diet pepsi/diet coke 'choice', and then claim 'the people have spoken'. It's bullshit.

MIGHT be bullshit?  You must be kidding.  You don't know?  No... it IS bullshit, so why don't you just say it?  And since it IS bullshit, then I guess that means you agreed to it.  I bet you vote, don't you?

No one asked me whether or not I wanted FAKE elections.  Nope, no one.  Seems to have been forced upon me by people like you who can't admit that it's outright fraud.

As for me, I do NOT agree... I do NOT consent.  And I do NOT vote.

False dilemma.  The issue is that you're ignoring the facts...  The facts are that millions of people are sick of things and demanding change...  The consent of the governed is always necessary to rule them.  Ergo, regardless of whether the man was freely elected, the basis of his right to rule (consent) appears to have been pulled.  While you're focusing on the military handling the exchange, I think there are a few important aspects that you're overlooking, e.g. the fact that the same result would ensue even if the general populace was required to rise up and that in many states, the military is the only force strong enough to effectuate the exchange.

Essentially all you're doing is making the case for permanent leadership positions...  this does not exist in any democratic system (which you're arguing Egypt is).  The people are always free to decide who is to lead them.  The fact that the military is choosing to side with the winner (ahead of time) is of little consequence.  Whether or not is is a coup proper will only be told by time.  Should the military decide to not honor its promises, then it will have to deal with another uprising.

Did you go to Egypt and count the number of people asking him to leave ?

No, you did not, you just saw some picture and videos.

You do not know how many want him to leave and how many want him to stay.

That is a fact.

Wed, 07/03/2013 - 11:03 | Link to Comment MachoMan
MachoMan's picture

I can say that it appears enough people want him to leave that it's going to happen...  we can argue about whether this is a majority til the cows come home.  I think you have to admit the other side of the coin though, which is that the people who do want him to stay appear to be doing nothing about it.  In this sense, you might say that the ballot box is only a very particular type of voting...  and that it doesn't denote how one really feels when push comes to shove.  Call it whatever you want, my earlier point remains...  I'd be nice if you'd try to address it.

PS, political change is always done on the margins...  a majority of people are perfectly content to watch grass grow...  it's the active parts of each side that effectuate change.  Needless to say, a "majority" is a virtually impossible standard anywhere...  Does the U.S. have democratic elections despite our leaders being elected merely with a plurality?

Further, all you're doing is espousing the "tyranny of the majority" aspects of democracy...  You might think of tahrir square as a different kind of voting booth.  Consent of the governed may be withdrawn without a majority.  Governance isn't a process made simply for the largest group.  While the Egyptian military is just another puppet of the U.S., only time will tell whether this collective bargaining yields any positive results...  I hope that it will.

On the one hand, I agree with you.  On the other, Morsi was elected on one platorm, and then went off on another jag, much like Obama.  Maybe it's better that the military step in and reset the deck without Egypt turning into another Syria.

There's certainly precedent for it - Salvador Allende was an elected marxist in Chile who had to be militarily deposed after he set about attacking the Chilean economy.

Turkey must be what they are looking at. The army was neutered as stabilizing force and an islamist took step back towards a caliphate. Morsi was setting up the same game plan. Egypt is in big trouble no matter what happens at this point with a bumbling fool playing games im Washington. There actually was a time back in the fifties when many Arabs looked on us as their best friend.  When Eisenhower did not allow the Eurpeans to take back the Suez canal we were seen as their savior from years of exploitation and colonialism. No one looks for leadership from a teleprompter.
