The Tanks Have Been Deployed

Tyler Durden's picture

Courtesy of the BBC's Jeremy Bowen, and 911 operator we can see that the tanks in Cairo are now deployed. Surely this will add at least another 10 points to the Stalingrad and Propaganda 500 on anywhere between 2 and 3 contracts in today's hilarious zero volume revolutionary melt up.

And another from Quentin Sommerville:

From Reuters:

The Egyptian army erected barbed wire and barriers around a barracks where embattled President Mohamed Mursi was working and deployed armored vehicles and troops to prevent his supporters marching from a nearby rally to his palace, witnesses said.

A Reuters journalist saw troops move into place close to the Rabaa Adaweya mosque area, where tens of thousands of supporters of Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood are rallied to support the democratically elected president and what they call constitutional legitimacy.

The army said in an official statement that it was security the area and denied what it said were reports that it was attacking Mursi's supporters, saying: "The Egyptian army belongs to all Egyptians."

Neither the S&P nor the DOW can make it over the 20 moving average - five days in a row. This spells DOOM.

I wonder is the USA envoy bribed the Egyptian military yet...

Wolf Blitzer and the rest of the commies are pushing the "WTF, Morsi was democratically elected!!!" meme.  No mention of bait-and-switch campaign promises or back-door implementation of Shaira Law, however.

Watching the live feed from Tahiri Square (link below), I occasionally see an INTESELY bright green light coming from multiple places in the crowd and blinding the camera.  Is this some kind of anti-personnel laser/lidar?  I remember seeing similar things in the riots in Brazil a few weeks ago.  Can anyone offer conjecture??  As a scientist knowledgeable about the danger of lasers to the human eye, I am concerned.

Democratically elected.  Democratically toppled.    DC is next?  Its up to The US People.

Plenty of nasty people have been elected to an office.  Winning one vote doesn't mean you can do whatever you want.

@ BigSlick

Those are lazer pointers from the crowd.

They seem to have bigger concerns than the ill effects of lazers on their eyes.

It's called a handheld green laser pointer.

Me thinks we Americans might need to make a stop at Staples for these things, before they are outlawed here.

I remember being in a presentation where a guy was using this on a projection screen.  Even aimed at only the screen he got complaints that it was hurting people's eyes.

If you end up doing that and hitting a ghettobird, they will come for you in no time.

ACtually you can make one yourself form a DVD player.  Based on power supply these things are powerfull.

krispkritter's picture

Doing that to a Popo chopper in FL will net you a felony. I know of two arrests for this already.  I had a guy try in traffic pointing a red one at my mirror on an early morning commute.  Called FHP and he went down in a ball of blinking lights but I didn't stop.

You can see some of these on clouds in full daylight...

thank you rusty.  i found several interesting reports, including the fellow charged for writing on the sidewalk outside the bank of america.  the banks must be getting a tad freaked out if simply writing a fact outside their doors deserves a charge with a hefty fine and a possible 13yr sentence.

Just cheap run-of-the-mill presentation laser pointers - very popular in some places; illegal in others (dangerous to eyesight, despite low power).

Green is the colour the Human eye is most sensitive of. Green lasers are the most powerful colour in the spectrum the human eye can see.

It's all fun and games until the tanks are brought out.

Also a signal for the US to take note of.

Wolf Blitzer — that fur-faced fucker couldn't find his way out of a paper bag. Remember how badly he got his ass kicked on Celebrity Jeopardy?

Stupid asshat had –$4,600 and had to be given money to compete in final jeopardy. What a moronic fucktard he is.

Meat Hammer's picture

I remember that, McM......when Andy Richter kicked his ass.  Which just proves that humor requires intelligence....and being a "journalist", not so much.

Another great episode of Jeopardy was during Teachers Week when the lady from the LA public school system didn't make it to final jeopardy.

"Wolf Blitzer" is the official "Voice Of Israel". He is totally shameless in his worship of Israel expansion and repression. Actually, I have long called CNN, "The Cable Neo-Con Network", which it clearly is. When I want to know what Israel thinks we Americans should be told, I tune in CNN to hear the offical news from Israel's propaganda ministry.

Blitzer is a disgusting propagandist, his whole routine is to equate Israeli policy with America's security. If not for Israel, we Americans would not be safe in our beds at night. Blitzer and his followers lie in order to gain US Tax Dollar, US weapons and US military support. All paid for by our tax dollars and our kids lives. As long as people like Blitzer call the shots, America will be a second class nation that dances to the tune of Israel.

I think a look at history and US policy, both foreign and domestic, supports my statement above. But if you ignore reality and the historical record of recent years, then you can say Israel does not have total influence over American government and tax money and foreign policy.
