Rick Santelli Rages: "Who Is Bernanke Working For?"
Reminiscing on the good ol' days when traders and investors poured over fundamental metrics, CNBC's Rick Santelli looks upon the current environment as a single-factor "Bernanke-loves-me, he-loves-me-not" un-reality and the impact he has on savers. "It seems a little bit ridiculous," he understates before launching into two minutes of clarifying thought on just what it is that Bernanke is doing and that we are suffering through. Just who is Bernanke working for?
Expanding on the discussion last night, Santelli slams Bernanke for his flip-flopping view of the unemployment rate ("where was he during the elections when 'unemployment' was getting better?", his entire disregard for the terrible divergence between a surging corporate profit buildup (surely indicative of a healthy economy?) and the 'real' employment rate (which is dismally awful) preferring to focus on the 'unreal' unemployment rate - which even he now notes is over-stating the recovery.
As Santelli notes, maybe, just maybe, it is all about interest rates and the cover for a Treasury with "boatloads of unsustainable debt."

Quit picking on Benny. Like a good little Commie, he's only following Obama's playbook. Suck whatever wealth there is from the little guy and transfer it to the rich elite so they can be taxed more and the money redistributed by government to elicit votes.
Santelli had better be careful. If he keeps this up, he might wind up having a one-car accident.
Who is Santelli working for?
Do not ask for whom the Santelli toils, he toils for thee!
With apologies to both John Donne and E. Hemingway. Santelli is our day's Network's Vox Populi and Howard Beale.
Santelli is the voice of Chicago, not the Chicago Way or Chiraq, but the common sense on the street in every home town.
Email everyone to suggest Jon Stewart get him on show for regular updates. There's nothing funnier that today's financial developments.
Give me a BREAK!
Santelli works for the MAN. Stewart works for the MAN.
There is not a single MSM 'journalist' who deserves respect. They are all WHORES. Do you think if for a moment they tried to tell the truth and expose the fuckers who run the show that they would have a paycheck that month?
Ask Rick Sanchez about how it works: http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/blogs/the-gaggle/2010/10/01/cnn-s-...
Don't fuck with the Jesus
Im a big fan of Bernake.
Now if he'd just remember to clean that stall all the way at the end, I'd like him even better.
Change the roll too would be good.
Rick may sing the lyrics we like to hear, but, he's as much of an actor and entertainer as the rest. This good cop bad cop parade is all still just part of the plan to keep us engaged in their corrupt markets. I think Rick knows who Ben is working for and still benefits from that a lot more than most.
Sodom?
Just get long the E/S and quit WHINING!
What is Bernanke afraid of? Derriviatives. They are a house of cards that will destroy everything if they come down.
Who does he work for? The OWNERS of the largest international banks. The Fed is a private corporation whose stockholders are the banks, with the largest banks holding the most. Thus, whoever owns the banks owns the Fed, and Ben workks for them.
Who owns the banks? The public shares are held by a dense web of shell corporations and private investment houses. But these will most likely lead back to that small group of banking dynasties mentioned above. Family dynasties are hard to keep going over many generations, even if you have your daughters marry the most capable of successors. So some of the participants may have changed.
The point is that the world run by an aristocratic oligarchy of financiers and bankers. They imagine themselves as the great patrons, the caretakers of humanity. But their own welfare always comes first. Indeed, if compsiracy theoires are right they are prone to starting wars to keep things under their control, a destructive force in no one's interest but theirs.
I've always felt that the Rothschild comspiracy theories were far fetched at best and anti-semtic at worst. But this power structure keeps me thinking.
IMO, just another scripted Santelli rant to placate the bears.
He's beginning to catch on...
Repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, thereby abolishing the "Fed". Abolish fractional reserve banking and return to a mathematics based monetary policy. Kick the fuckin' shit out of ANY FASB member(s). LET"S GO, SHEEPLE!!!!
Social unrest is good for billionaires since it guarantees continued entitlements and deficit spending. Automation eliminates millions of jobs each year worldwide and its accelerating so full time job for most is impossible. Corporate profits soar due to automation and the right to hire part time labor offering no benefits. Social unrest increases, then more central bank stimulus, its never ending and its good for the rich.
You got that right, brother.
Who is Bernanke working for?
Well, he's always provided Williambanzi7 some good material so maybe...
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'
Pull the $85 b per month ( probably twice that chestnut ) and USSA becomes 'toiletbowl' not super! Seems it's just about keeping head above water until you don't and then the fireworks begin.
Not that i like everything whats going on, but Mr Santelli reminds me of a child whose lollipop has just been taken away.
Santelli is employed by TV, and he understands trade, by his own experience. Reconciliation is messy sometimes. Viewers who want to be entertained are better off with him than shrieking Goldman Sacks man wotsisface.
I find this guy so amusing, you have to smile otherwise you would rage in anger at all the manipulations.
The difference between Bernanke and Santelli, Santelli only took one flower Bernake would take he vase of flowers.
To answer Santelli's question, Bernanke works for GS and JPM. Got to recognise the obvious then move on.
Agree with you, 'GreatUncle'. However, Santelli knows who owns Bernanke, yet his viewers must be invited to inquire rather than terrified by being told. That's TV.
"WHO DOES NUMBER 2 WORK FOR?"
"That's it pal, you show that turd."
The American nomenklatura? Not the Chinese, European (with the exception of Soros), S. American, Japanese, or Russian nomenklatura.
Clever comment, and inaccurate.
Anyone track how long it's been, since November maybe, that Santelli has failed to say the word "teabagger"? He's waving around a sunflower. Is the crypto-message that we're to use flowers and not teabags to make tea? Maybe Sarah Palin can delurk and tell us :D
Palin is ridiculous. Carry on...
HC, brilliant political critique, at least on the scale of self-rightous sarcasm. What, if anything, did Santelli say that wasn't true?
I like Santelli very much for his personal and professional stance. Bonus point: finding an entertaining way to introduce the uninitiated to compelling questions, eg who does Bernanke work for?
Santelli knows the answer. He invites viewers to inquire...if they choose to do so. Perhaps some of them might be career politicians and other twisters who might get off the gravy train long enough to engage with money making instead of simply use it and abuse it, and betray their credulous voters.
Who does number 2 work for...who does number two work for...flush
repeat post.
Chum, sometimes you are a bit...well. But yes, shutup Santellli. Sock puppet.
ZIRP protects against real savers getting rent on their stored capital in favor of the Member Banks for whom Ben Bears exclusive rent and real interest. The savers already risked their time and life to collect and sustain; the inventors of credit take no life-time risk. The jobs he imagines are as delusionary as denying seniors and savers in favor of exclusive bank usurpation and expecting to buy more than enabling the status quo which is stealing time 24/7/365 for his bank clients.
I really can't comprehend how Rick can stand to be on the Obamanomics Channel every day. I can't bear to watch it AT ALL! I gave up watching it nearly five years ago, and haven't missed it a day since! Good riddance!
sbenard: thanks for coming in with your media non-viewing report, but you prove you don't know why we're here to discuss what you declare you know nothing of.
@"who is b. working for?"
the industrial complexes that hope to employ fewer and fewer
human beings as time passes as humans have expensive requirements
like community and associated structure, security, survivability
needs, and here esthetics (what is that).
.
ben works for the money system. it is a fraud and an asset
and capital resource extraction system disguised with a beard
as a money system, the poor fuck is just doing his job; the job
that keeps the rest of the poor fucks from having to think or work
or actually develop something coherent and sustainable in defiance
of the criminal elite who so easily seduce and pervert the minds of
the young and turn them into fucking blood sucking killers for hire.
you know?
.
no?
what is lost is the truth and the universe itself , the self itself.
but who would know?, "not many I guess" . ....
You must be blind, no offense. Bernanke works for the government. Guess who likes big government, the Democrats. Bernanke was complicit in the reelection of Barack Obama and he is keeping it afloat. That's all this is about.
Reminder: Two weeks before the election, Bernanke announced QE2.
no offense taken. who? is the government?
who owns the government? the government is
a sovereign tool, a mechanisms. a machine.
who operates that machine? who owns it?
the people? or a certain segment of the
people? [;ease tell !
blind dude.
The government, particularly the Federal government, is a group of people who live off taxpayers. This group of people look to you and I to cover their massive unfunded pensions. They hand out traffic tickets to raise money. Ask a cop. That's their primary job these days. If you think there is no group of people in this country dedicated to elevating the public sector, you really are blind.
@" The government, particularly the Federal government, is a group of people who live off taxpayers." ..
.
no, they live off of the debt created by the federal reserve bank. some
call it "money printing" some call it "QE" and some call it stealing;
others call it war and still others call it market making. and there
are them that call it empire or ownership of the world and all it has to offer
as in "the new American century" which actually is the debt of the American
government and people for the power of international financial fraud associated
and predicated upon the destruction of the "petro dollar" in exchange for
international exploitation of assets and resources, using said mechanism
as the means to accomplish devilish ends, power, influence and enslavement
by other means. some call it civil I sation.
.
my friend, they could give one human fuck for taxes, they can print money
and debt and hand it off and you would not see it, my friend, even in your
own pocket.
blindman.
.
the taxing stuff is just to keep the slaves in the coral, like an electric fence
for the sheep or cattle in a technologically advanced cattle cult, bro.

why is it that stupid rules the world?
is it the mass appeal? the ease of it,
the general acceptance and agreement?
the luxury so obtained by belonging and
the forgiveness accompanying the going
along with the "norm"? the getting over
on those enraptured in the seduction of the
process itself, brother.
.
the thing is when shit goes bad there need be
a fall guy, a sock puppet and virtual antihero.
that is the function of the "government" in the
virtual universe where the abstraction and virtualization
of humanity and technology coalesce into the "bad bank"
that is stuffed with fraud and human feces also known
as capital and assets underlying the money and credit
creation dynamic that is our contemporary insanity.
.
granted, mind has been lost but I did not initiate
this inescapable shit so do not blame me.
my ideas and solutions are at variance to the existing
paradigm.
I love Rick Santelli. I don't always understand him, but this one . . . he nailed it.
Wonder how long it is before they force Santelli to invite Tyler Durden on this show. If you read yesterday's entrys, you know what that means...
Answer: Bernanke is a political appointee who is covering the U.S. government's $1 trillion/year deficit spending and who announced QE2 two weeks before the Presidential election.
there is no money,
there are only notes of debt
pyramided endlessly and egregiously
upon an abstraction, namely
"we" , the people as the leverage
increases and the collateral and
assets are transferred from the individual
"people" (person) to the institutional entities,
owned anonymously and in receivership
properly represented at the bar.
or something like that .....

" .. Courtroom division[edit]
The bar (railing) at the Rhode Island Supreme Court
The origin of the term bar is from the barring furniture dividing a medieval European courtroom, similarly as the origin of the term bank for the location of financial transactions in medieval Europe. In the USA, Europe and many other countries referring to the law traditions of Europe, the area in front of the barrage is restricted to participants in the trial: the judge or judges, other court officials, the jury (if any), the lawyers for each party, the parties to the case, and witnesses giving testimony. The area behind the bar is open to the public.[1] This restriction is enforced in nearly all courts. In most courts, the bar is represented by a physical partition: a railing or barrier that serves as a bar.[2]
