AAPL & Market Spike On iCahn "Buyback" Tweet

Tyler Durden's picture

Carl iCahn - whose media presence outweighs his shareholder presence - has tweeted the results of his dinner with Apple's Tim Cook.

AAPL shares are surging and the market is following suit...

and the S&P 500...

iClown strikes again....fuckin spotted hyena scavenging other peoples wealth with his tweets....iClown and iPhone (AAPL) are made for one another though I think iClown is offloading to idiots as we speak.

Only morons would be buying a GOLD iPhone5s for 700-800 bucks when the reall thing (GOLD) is on sale for under 1300.

So... does anyone know if they can stage a buyback with their off-shore cash? Or does it have to flow through a couple of Goldman accounts first, in order to provide money for a bond offering, which will then be used for the buyback?

Gotta love it when tweets are used like this...

What goes up must come down, even an almighty redwood tree ends its life with a crash. AAPL is really worth zero.

You know, I never understood the fierce Apple hate on this blog.

Whatever, they're a company. They make products and sell them. This makes them money. If you don't like their products, don't buy them.

Saying the company is worth zero is just crazy. Smartphones, like it or not, are here to stay. Maybe at some point they will take a different form (glasses, watches, whatever) but the need for people to connect with each other instantly will always be there.

Will Apple continue to innovate and be considered the premier product on the market? I don't know. No one does.

Sure, they're an 'evil' company which coordinates to control the muppets and violates our privacy...but so does every single other big corporation in the world. Where is all the Google hate? Where is all the Verizon hate?

I just don't get it.

"We decided to continue a dialogue".

Note to SEC:  This is quite a bit different than Icahn's prior statement that AAPL is proceeding with a buyback.  I'm sure that SEC staff can't wait to get back from shutdown to start enforcement.

Oh, and regarding the Fed "No Taper Leak", why is it the Fed interviewing media outlets about the early release?  It should be the DOJ putting the Fed leakers and traders who acted on the leaks in fucking jail!!  Fuck Chicago vs. New York trades and timing, that is just the smoking gun.  Even the New York traders had advance knowledge.

A multi-million dollar theft occurred in public, there is a smoking gun and the media and everyone else is focused on the circus instead!!

This is why Wall Street is so fucking evil! Whatever you think of Apple products or its customers, they have built a tremendous company. They produce quality products that people truly enjoy. Steve Jobs was immune to the bullying tactics of scum like Icahn, but Tim Cook is a pussy. He will cowtow to every wish of this cunt until the company is wiped out. Tim Cook is like the restaurant owner in Goodfellas and Wall Street is Paulie. He invited them in as partners and they will fuck the company until its time to torch the joint. Fuckin' Shame!

Ifixit has different things to say about Apple quality. The best quality Apple products were made in the 1990s without Jobs.

Jobs idea was to put garbage Chinese parts in a pretty package and go long on margins. Then con people into paying insane amounts of money for what they believed to be a quality product, like Coach.
