Markets breaking...the new catalyst to drive equities higher!
at this point, "markets" need to "break" in order to prevent sell orders from executing. afterall, stocks are the only thing this admin has to point to. but....but....stocks are at all time highs, so times are great.

There are matters of far greater urgency than a bunch of greesy zerohedge day traders not being able to trade options. Media outlets have been eerily silent on the issue of climate change for at least a year and a half, and scientists are becoming extremely worried that little has been done to curb carbon emissions. Read today's article at the Accredited Times for an overview of the threats we face and what we can do to stop climate change:

new logo....same asshole
Derivatives like options should be banned anyway. These tools of the ungregulated free market were the cause of the biggest financial meltdown in history. It's time for regulators to ban derivatives once and for all.

Maybe this is why the markets are acting today like they should have acted yesterday...
DOW down, PMs up.
The Nikkei was up yesterday, PM's and Nikkei have an inverse relationship. (Currently. That could change tomorrow)
If there's nothing here but greasy day traders, why do you continue to spam this site?
DaddyO
Because the smart slaves do as their told, and in some cases, paid.
We don't need no stinkiin' options. If an options market breaks in the woods was there ever really a need for an options market?
Hey, that woman golfer, Blair O'Neal is fucking hot!
Is it me or are these failures just a recent and rather frequent occurrence? And why now? Has anyone determined a root cause for this?
Doesn't seem right...
MOPE!
Different audiences need different motivations, false flags, well timed tweets on AAPL, JCP news reports, .gov Shutdowns, etc.
Please standby, control of your TeeVee will be returned mometarily...
DaddyO
I have a different take.
We're starting to see cracks, the largest so far being the scuttling of our Syria mercy bombing. I think the gov "shutdown" is another crack. Lots of other little cracks.
Thing is, thanks to Herb Stein's Law of Sustainability, they are desperate for any and all cracks to give way, so that they don't have to pretend anymore, but rather, will jump into crisis mode.
Novus Ordo Seclorum and all that.
I go back and forth.
However, I think it's improbable that the Masters of the Universe are simultaneously trying keep things together and hoping they fall apart. I'm currently inclined to think that humanity is just a glorified termite hive - with just as much intelligence and forethought.
Too many plates spinning at one time. Many are beginning to wobble.
That said though, all of these events are precedents in what is coming and you can be assured that once the real shit does hit the fan none of these markets will be functioning.
They will all be closed due to 'system issues' which are being 'worked on until further notice'.
Why anyone would have large amounts of money in this game at this point is beyond me.
In an average year how many market "halts" are normal? Hasn't there been 5-6 in the last month alone?
The squid needs a bunch of bad trades busted.
"It's going down? That's not how we manipulated it... It must be broken"
SHUT'ER DOWN!
Apparently they have bad trades they need busted daily now.
Maybe we need to list the things that are not broken. Ready? Here is the list.
< Nada >
Understanding < Nada > is key to properly preparing for what is coming.
Ah, the Newtonian method. If < Nada > is what I know, then 1 - < Nada > is what I don't know.
Your preparation reaches an asymptote as Nada approaches zero. Beautiful shit, really.
OH and as Bill Gross sez, they'll just keep this shit up day after day till 2035!
One must always keep in mind that as the rich and powerful grow older they tend to focus on leaving a (properly managed) "legacy".
<Cue the propaganda machines.>
"Oh your looking for the 'Self-Help' section - that asile 5"
Wouldn't it be ironic for someone to ask to be directed to the self-help section?
Not really. If they had the capacity for self-help, they wouldn't need any book.
It's not a glitch, it's a feature. Oh, wait...
Very true. If you want it broken, it's a feature. If you don't, it's a glitch.
Everything is broken. Why is this news?
I guess we're out of options then.
Fat fingers please enter here
I'll tell you what else is broken - the curse on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
After 21 years, finally, a playoff game AND win. The Bucs dismantled the Cincinnati Reds last night. Which is great, because I despise the Reds.
Russell Martin looks like a person who wants to win a World Series title, and won't rest until he does.
Next up: the St. Louis Cardinals. I say Pirates in 5.
Let's Go Bucs!
Pittsburgh Pirates.. that's the hockey team, no?
Close.
ur thinking of the 0-4 football team...
Blernsball
Baseball actually. Some sort of American game based on cricket. The British call it "rounders" as the players run around in a circle rather than back and forth like in cricket!
Yea so painfully boring you'd want to kill yourself if you weren't so drunk, just like Cricket.
I had Cricket, but I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy SIII and switched to Verizon.
I got a great deal. At CostCo, of course.
Local POMO operation.
Keep watching the left hand while the right hand is picking your pocket.
;-)
Baseketball I think.
Dont forget, the Pirates couldn't put a winning season together for 20 years.
Beating up a Dusty Baker managed team is not too hard. He's a token moron just like our Preezy.
Get back to use when you win it all or the Steeleres win a game.
The playoffs start tomorrow. What the Pirates won last night was a stupid fucking gimmick cooked up by Bud Selig & Co. However, your boys deserve to be where they are based on their record, so I won't give you any shit about it. That being said, I think the Cards are going to wipe the floor with them (and I'm a Cubs fan, so I hope I'm wrong).
Hey, it's the 21st Century. Gimmicks are all we have left.
The Obama Debt Ceiling- made of high tech rubber that can withstand 3 months of invisible increases and still come in at 16.999! Better than silly putty, stronger than titanium...
Apparently.
VXX gets hammered 3:30 yesterday and i'm thinking that today the market would rally big.So wrong ! I guess someone knew today would ramp the VXX and god forbid it goes above 18. Fuck you! total BS fake excuse of a market....just sayin.cashing out perminatly.
Here's what pisses me off.
This market, a part of the infastrurture of our economy, has been breaking once a week for months now and it's not news.
Yesterday, Healthcare.gov has a Snafu do to traffic overload and scaling issues and it's on everyone's radar.
Come on people! WTFU!
Can I get an "OH NOES!!!!" for this travesty?
LOL
Congress: World faith in dollar not guaranteed
At least my gold and mining calls are rebounding, yesterday was complete non-sense.
http://youtu.be/8CtjhWhw2I8 theres nothing wrong with the Exchanges,
the regulators control the exchanges, the stock and options, markets,
for the outer limits...LOL (shut down just a coincidence) CFTC SEC are ON IT> giggle
sprinkle a little fraudie mae and mac on it for flavor....
Traders on Tramp-o-lines,
Brokers Behaving Badly,
Benny Markets Breaking Bad.
It's all FUBAR. Cashing out, putting it into Bank of Certa & Sealy, and starving the Beast.
...not about "broken" systems, networks or servers.
rather its about security, hardware and software upgrades that must be updated offline then tested in real time.
make no mistake the spate of recent market service interruptions is not coincidental nor random.
broad MSM complicity and "creative writing" regarding outages points to likely NSA/ other government monitoring and intelligence gathering involvement in querying real time trading data more efficiently and effectively
