Interesting. (first 15 sec) It looks like she had been in pursuit judging by the number of cars already at scene. Maybe she had outstanding warrant or something. Too bad she fled the scene.
I don't think non-official vehicles are allowed on the road she was on, but obviously even if the road were barricaded, there was enough room to fit a car through. She wasn't moving at speed or anything one might expect if she had bad intent. We have all, I'm sure, driven through the exact same type of barricades, though they are generally staggered to force approaching vehicles to slow to a speed that allows officers to look inside each passing car. It could well have been a simple, but horrific mistake, and then panic (she had her child in the car) set in with all the flashing lights, men with guns drawn, etc.
Absent any new, and believable evidence, I have to feel sorry for a poor tourist who simply made a wrong turn.
Not disputing your valid point. If it were me, I would of admitted to my fuck up and asked to be pointed in the right direction. On the other hand, this woman should of never been killed. Definitely a protocol breakdown on behalf of DC police department.

The al herra video (or whatever) was at the capitol, and by that time driver had already had some dust-up with security at the White House and raced down Pennsylvania Ave. The video is not the start of the incident.
It's rare for a cop car chase to not end with the cops beating the shit out of someone. Apparently the DC cops prefer to shoot first. We will never know what the victim was thinking since dead people don't talk.
Luckily for the cops in that car, it wasn't a Tesla!

Actually, you are probably correct, since I doubt the reporter or cameraman could get to the Capitol so fast. Also, the protestors would have been protesting the shut-down, which would also have them at the Capitol.

So The dental hygienist that was killed was armed with an assault baby. Obama should ban assault babies. They are everywhere. But Obama is safe with the baby in custody and its mom dead, that is what is important.
The reason the officer was swiftly driving down this street with bike cops and assorted pedestrians is of course a woman in a moderately priced sport sedan with a toddler in the backseat decided she needed to go to the White House. Well, she had an altercation of some sort with officers at a security barricade and then crashed her car into a barrier. After being surrounded by guns she decides to get the hell out of there. A chase ensues complete with a ride around a traffic circle, police in tow. They chase her to the capitol where she met an untimely demise at the hands of multiple agency officers. Shot multiple times with a, thankfully unharmed, toddler in the back seat.
This woman clearly escalated this event for who knows what reason at this point. She was clearly a threat to public safety. They chased an unarmed, as it turned out, woman down and shot her, many times. At least that's what it looks like. Was there no other way?

OK, the police car damage was not caused by the woman ramming into it in some sort of frenzied getaway action as we were led to believe at the time. And one of the police injuries was caused by the police car crashing into the barriers. Hence the ambulances being shown, which implied that the woman had caused it all.
None of this was clear last night when it was all being shown live, although one observant UK Sky News journo did casually remark on how "there seems to be no damage to her car".
Looking at this whole incident from a different angle ....if there had been no armed police/secret service agents hanging around, no police cars to chase other cars down the street to risk innocent bystanders being mown down by an incapable police car driver, the black woman would have achieved nothing by her apparent tantrum with the ramp, the police car would not have sped down the road and crashed into the barriers and no police or any one else would have been killed or injured.

I just read on FoxNews.com "Capitol Suspect Had History of Mental Illness" article. In the article, in the last paragraph, the suspect's mother said she had some post-partum depression after giving birth a year ago.
