The unseen story will be on the repo desks for punishing the Tbill shorts being set up now.  That's where we need to get info over the rest of the month.  Where the positions are on which desks.

Classical liberalism and libertarianism are essentially the same thing but at this point who gives a fuck all that matters is whether or not you believe you are capable of deciding what is right for you and yours or if you think you need someone to tell you that for you

classical definitions haven't been applicable for decades (vernacular does change after all)...  aside from the fact that the end-all, be-all definition of political ideology, i.e. how large of a government you would prefer, creates mutual exclusivity between liberalism (more government) and libertarianism (less government); they're literally polar opposites.  If you want to exclude "fiscal" considerations from your definitions, then sure, libertarians and liberals are both socially liberal in many regards.  However, "social" aspects of political ideology are beholden to "fiscal" aspects....

Libertarians of today are just another name for "anti-tax". Libertarians today don't give a shit about any rights except property rights. It's a right-wing circle-jerk movement that has nothing to do with the origins of libertarianism.

“How do people get to this clandestine Archipelago? Hour by hour planes fly there, ships steer their course there, and trains thunder off to it--but all with nary a mark on them to tell of their destination. And at ticket windows or at travel bureaus for Soviet or foreign tourists the employees would be astounded if you were to ask for a ticket to go there. They know nothing and they've never heard of the Archipelago as a whole or any one of its innumerable islands.

Those who go to the Archipelago to administer it get there via the training schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Those who go there to be guards are conscripted via the military conscription centers.

And those who, like you and me, dear reader, go there to die, must get there solely and compulsorily via arrest.

Arrest! Need it be said that it is a breaking point in your life, a bolt of lightning which has scored a direct hit on you? That it is an unassimilable spiritual earthquake not every person can cope with, as a result of which people often slip into insanity?

The Universe has as many different centers as there are living beings in it. Each of us is a center of the Universe, and that Universe is shattered when they hiss at you: "You are under arrest."

If you are arrested, can anything else remain unshattered by this cataclysm?

But the darkened mind is incapable of embracing these displacements in our universe, and both the most sophisticated and the veriest simpleton among us, drawing on all life's experience,
can gasp out only: "Me? What for?"

And this is a question which, though repeated millions and
millions of times before, has yet to receive an answer.

Arrest is an instantaneous, shattering thrust, expulsion, somersault from one state into another.

We have been happily borne—or perhaps have unhappily
dragged our weary way—down the long and crooked streets of
our lives, past all kinds of walls and fences made of rotting wood,
rammed earth, brick, concrete, iron railings. We have never given
a thought to what lies behind them. We have never tried to penetrate them with our vision or our understanding. But there is
where the Gulag country begins, right next to us, two yards away
from us. In addition, we have failed to notice an enormous number of closely fitted, well-disguised doors and gates in these
fences. All those gates were prepared for us, every last one! And
all of a sudden the fateful gate swings quickly open, and four
white male hands, unaccustomed to physical labor but nonetheless strong and tenacious, grab us by the leg, arm, collar, cap,
ear, and drag us in like a sack, and the gate behind us, the gate to
our past life, is slammed shut once and for all.

That's all there is to it! You are arrested!

And you'll find nothing better to respond with than a lamblike
bleat: "Me? What for?"

That's what arrest is: it's a blinding flash and a blow which
shifts the present instantly into the past and the impossible into
omnipotent actuality.

That's all. And neither for the first hour nor for the first day
will you be able to grasp anything else.”
? Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago, 1918-1956: An Experiment in Literary Investigation V-VII

The socialists (aka "Liberals", "Progressives") are climbing up the left face of Mt Authority, the facsists (aka "Conservative") are climbing up the right face of Mt Authority.

Most humans worship authority,  we wouldn't have the human history we do if humans didn't.

The only system possible is an authoritarian one.    Only the path to the top of Mt Authority is different.

The left is systematically removing the very legitimacy of acting on one's own initiative and in one's own interest. It's a thouight crime, and a crime against The Party, just as it was in the Soviet Union.....

If you want to predict how the left will respond or instigate, in any circumstance, look to what the Soviets did. It's why those who oppose spiraling debt are characterized as nutters - they oppose party orthodoxy, therefore they are menatlly impaired.

Libertarians aren't anti-corporatist.

Libertarians today are all about "dog-eat-dog" and "devil take the hindmost". The poor are supposed to suffer and suffer a lot. The wealthy have earned every dollar they have and they should keep every single one of them.

That's the libertarians of today in America.

Libertarians sounded differently once, but those were many generations ago.

The True Left™ must be infinitesimally small because you folks certainly aren't clogging up comment sections. Similarly, the "real conservatives" who call themselves the True Right™ were silent during the Bush years. Maybe you're all just hypocrites?

Libertarians are the only ones who've been consistent throughout the past decade as the country slid into tyranny. People who still identify as Left or Right are buying into the fake two-party system whether they admit it or not.

We are infinitesimally small now, thanks to the 1960s and the ramifications of that decade.

Left and right are valid terms, but people have to remember that the political spectrum does not lie upon a straight line. Rather, it is more like an incomplete circle. The far right and far left are actually quite close to each other.

And human duplicity.   The young 60's radical became the middle aged debtor who became the OldFart.   Just as "Conservatives" love their Big-Gov intruding on the lives of people they don't like.   Duplicity,  ask for it by name.

Besides, the idealists like to think they "decided" on their politics.  But, how much somebody worships authority (or not) or how inclusive of outsiders somebody is (or isn't) is just a brain configuration, not a choice.

There are two lefts and two rights.

The authority worshiping left (socialists aka "liberals", Blue Team) and the the authority worshipping right (fascists aka "conservatives",Red Team).
The authority skeptic left (old-school liberals) and the authority skeptic right (old-school conservatives or libertarians).

What we have with our two party system are the two authority worshipping Parties ("Liberals" and "Conservatives").

The old-school liberals and libertarians don't exists in numbers large enough to sustain a viable party.

It wont get to 40, the fomc wont let it, if they do they know that with the level of leverage there is, the margin calls alone will bring the market down. Also, please remember that the effect of shadow banking is that this leverage is really being financed with extremely short term capital leveraged on the repo of treasuries whose source is found in PIMCO, mutual funds, retirement and pension funds, etc., as soon as they get scared the overnight loans of repoable collateral will NOT be renewed and the whole inverted piramid will collapse down. By the way LEW knows this and that is why he said that even getting close to the 17th is dangerous, it is not the default itself but how a very tiny increase in the risk of assets supposed to be risk free, propagates through the models that support the system in an ever increasing exponential way. Tiny changes in risk as we approach the 17th have impossible to quatify effects on the last repo in the chain, the margin loan. Remember the effects of dividing by zero on an equation? Well something of that kind is at play here, infinite QE times zero risk is still zero, but please go to excell and multiply its largest number by something that slowly starts diverging from zero and you will start having a feeling for what is happening to the algos.

Boomerz Prizm Ponzi - Promises, Promises

“…Attacks Escalate Amid Stalemate”

The empire can surround you with its body politic, but only you can give up your spirit. Throw away the key, shut the door behind you, lock it, and drop the load on the empire in your own time. The empire always focuses on its own problem, pushing the solution farther away. You can’t choose your children; the best you can do is give them life. What they choose to do with it is up to them.

The American middle class is better at managing ‘free’ trade than any other middle class in History; its politicians should be millionaires, and it should accrue the benefits it is receiving. And American capital is better at fermenting international tension than any other form of capital in History; its bankers should be billionaires, and it should control the reserve currency.

Together, their marriage is better at destroying natural global breeding patterns and thereby stealing wealth than any other civil marriage in History. Cities employing its civil business practices are destroying small towns vociferously. And the potheads destroying this local economy are driving its last nail with tourism to maintain control over and hoard inputs, laundering their money into the real estate ponzi amidst a collapsing job base. So what? Given a choice between stupid and stupid, choose neither, not the lesser.

Whether you like it or not, you chose at infancy to comply, rebel, or go your own way, and the strength of your marriage is a function of the symptomatic choices that have resulted. From the perspective of labor, transforming capital, empire participants are all relics of the past, robots fulfilling equations derived centuries ago.

If you seek a title, a house or a Porsche, labor is not your gig. If you want to know why Henry Kissinger does what he does, examine his roots. Incumbent politicians are not re-elected, Congress does not have a dismal approval rating, real estate is not artificially scarce and labor is not artificially plentiful by accident.

The federal budget aggregates local resource decisions, all with trade-offs, risks, rewards and unintended consequences, and it depends upon personal data you willingly give it. It’s a mirror. The United States is a military machine; that’s where the pension checks originate, and why its education, health and welfare subsystems for children suck. You cannot reduce military and expect to fund continued expansion of SS and Medicare, short of changing the culture, which cannot be done in real time.

The only path to the future is changing your self, as an example in your community, work. That’s it. All corporate checks – public, private and non-profit, are welfare checks, for those who choose to compete in a something-for-nothing empire. Yes, boomers are better at it than any other generation in History, and have the toys to prove it. From labor’s perspective, the boomer majority learned exactly the wrong lesson. So why are you competing against it, for empire largesse?

Which is dumber, a homeless person waiting in a disability line for alcohol, a cop writing that person a ticket for public intoxication or a judge capitalizing the increasing ‘work’ load? Income inequality is a function of marriage destruction, and this empire is better at it than any other. The stronger your marriage, the greater the passive-aggressive attack you may expect from emotional peer pressure, gossip, spying and outright tyranny.

Economic immobility, stagnation in time, is no accident; it’s ‘equal’ standing under the law. Of course the world’s leaders want America to be the world’s policeman, and accept free trade regulation of their populations. Without internal and external tension, their idiocracies could not exist. Cut their heads off and they grow another, by design. Easy money never ends well. Cute, dumb and irresponsible becomes ugly.

The sh-show comes ‘round full circle when civil marriage can no longer accelerate its demographic ponzi, by which time the participants hope to be dead. Empires are easy to spot; their future is always the past, and love is a peer pressure crime. Love what you do nevertheless and position your self accordingly. Love is war, against your own ignorance. Choose another that will challenge it, to get the perspective required.

Majority vote is a group response to stimulus, itself a relic of the past. Crowd-cloud-sourcing grows the prison. If you think, labor is always building an implicit bomb. How you employ it is up to you. Pick your poison, or move forward. If an empire could compete with labor, it would not seek to take away labor’s God-given talent, parenting, and give it to others with no competence for the work. It loses before it begins, which is why it can only buy time, from you.
