Per Sen sources, Boehner has agreed to take up the Senate's plan and allow it to pass with Dem votes.

Assuming the above is accurate, the debt ceiling "debate" has just ended with Boehner folding like a cheap lawn chair again as he did during the Fiscal Cliff "negotiations", the GOP getting nothing, the Democrats getting everything they wanted, and US credibility - having taken the reserve currency to the edge - shaken now more than ever.

Only two small details seperate the two, it would make very little difference which version got agreed to. If the house version had passed and the senate agreed to it we would be hearing the senate caved. So the senate won the brinksmanship game, they get the bragging rights and Boehner takes the heat, but the end result is no more risk of immediate default and no more pointless govt. shutdown. True, we are now out of control with spending, that has been getting steadily worse for the past 15 years or so, but this kciks that can down the road.
