Tea Party Blasts Boehner "The Senate Deal Is A Complete Sellout"

Tyler Durden's picture

While the House looks set to vote for the Senate bill and kick the can just a little down the road, the Washington Post reports that at least one tea party group is calling for Republicans to hold their ground.

"The Senate deal is a complete sellout.  Speaker Boehner and the House should stand firm and reject this deal to reign in the executive branch’s power before it is too late,”

-Tea Party Patriots head Jenny Beth Martin said.

“The House ‘leadership’ must stop playing ‘flinch’ with themselves, and instead, play hardball with the White House, the Senate, and the House. Otherwise, hard-working Americans are going to bear the burden of this unaffordable law (Obamacare). The American people will hold those responsible for this mess accountable.”

Let the voters vote out every single incumbent.  While it won't make a difference, at least the existing assholes don't get a front seat to power.

SpykerSpeed's picture

It's nice to have them all under one roof, though.  Convenient.  For purposes.

JPM Hater001's picture

What the fuck are you going to do, vote for another Republican?

Republicans have no balls these days. What a shame

LetThemEatRand's picture

You have to believe in something and then fearfully fail to do it in order to be called out for having no balls.  These guys have huge balls.  They sit there all day and lie to your face that they want to do anything other than enrich their banker owners while they consistently and unfailingly act in a way that makes clear who they really work for.  That takes balls.

We have to string everyone along and then fuck it all up at the last minute so we can see what's in it...........

JohnnyBriefcase's picture

Lol why would they want to reign in the executive branch?
It'll be the (pseudo)republican's turn next (s)election.

FeralSerf's picture

He who has the reins (aka the puppet strings) reigns.

Time to walk away from the game.

Really.

General Decline's picture

I have at least mentally walked away from the game you speak of. There is peace in doing that, I assure you. Working on physically walking away next.

The Mob has already spoken and you've got OBAMA........just think when the rest of them can vote via their iPhone.

NidStyles's picture

I'd ask for morons to be deprogrammed from believing in the garbage they believe in, like democracy being a fair system...

XitSam's picture

I just had a discussion with a guy about obamacare, and his argument boiled down to "the common good."  So I asked him, if the "common good" requred him to be imprisoned at hard labor for the rest of his life, North Korean Gangnam Prison Camp Style, would that be ok?  He still doesn't understand.  I don't think most of them can be reprogrammed.

@Sterling Rod,

A direct democracy is de facto mob rule, you twerp.  That's exactly what the libtards want, and exactly why the Founding Fathers gave us a Republic.  The closer we get to a true democracy over the years, the more the uneducated masses gain the ability to vote via their emotions and demand goodies from Gov (which in turn come from all of us via taxes).

The Senate has become corrupted and subservient to the White House just like ancient Rome, where the Senate was full of people who bowed to Caesar.

The House is the closest level of representation of the people, per Article I of the Constitution.

When it becomes a done deal is the perfect time for the tea party separation.

This is a very good opportunity, hope it's not wasted.

It's getting more clear by the week, red and blue make purple, two become one.

Which just so happens to leave room for one more... In a two party system.

Tea Party finds now it is disenfranchised and cannot do a thing to change that.  Lobby groups like Boehner, not them.

Dr. Engali's picture

They won't. The red team will continue to vote for the red team, and the blue for the blue. Voting only offers them legitimacy in an illegitimate system.

El Vaquero's picture

I always vote 3rd party, not because I think any candidate I'm voting for stands a chance in hell, but rather as a simple fuck you to the two party system.  It may be meaningless, but it makes me feel better.

olto's picture

Thanks for the link.  78% of Amricans want to throw out the entire Congress and start over.

We could all just agree to meetup in DC and do that.  Demand they all resign.  Someone pick a day.

Nov 5th?

When people go to the polls they usually don't vote out the incumbents. IMHO, that poll is useless.

Think of it this way: You are a farmer. Your representative is a senior member of the agirculture committee. You know he has the power to help you continue to receive your subsidies. Are you going to vote him out? Look at the House of Representatives Financial Service Committee: http://financialservices.house.gov/about/members.htm

IAre there any representatives from NYC on that committee?
