Obama: "Stop Focusing On The Bloggers"

Tyler Durden's picture

Fast forward to 5'40" in Obama's speech delivered earlier today.

It is here that he makes the following statement:

"Now that the government has reopened and this threat to our economy is removed, all of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict, and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do, and that’s grow this economy, create good jobs, strengthen the middle class, educate our kids, lay the foundation for broad-based prosperity and get our fiscal house in order for the long haul."

We will ignore the irony of a president talking about "profiting from conflict" when less than two months ago the world was on the verge of World War III over a fabricated, false flag-driven invasion "confirmed" by YouTube clips, and designed entirely by this administration to further (and profit) its Saudi and Qatari interests, and which was halted in the last minute thanks to none other than the Russian president, and ask: instead of stopping to "focus on bloggers" who merely do the math in a world in which math is long forgotten, let's for one month, week or day, simply halt the Federal Reserve's circular monetary authority which now purchases virtually all issued US Treasurys that carry any duration risk.

We wonder what that would do to interest rates, to the US debt-issuance and deficit-funding machinery, to the already crippled reserve status of the dollar, to the real default threat of a country that has long passed its Minsky Ponzi point, and to the same once great nation that cemented its world-dominance not thanks to a central bank funding a government which has spent in the past 5 years almost as much as in all of its prior history, but due to the encouragement of the entrepreneurial spirit, to minimal government meddling in (and illegal supervision of) all affairs of man and commerce, to allowing not only the reward of success but the risk of failure, and most importantly to allowing capitalism to reign free once again, if only for a brief period of time.

We will not even engage the question of just how much "wealth effect" has been left on the table with the Fed not actively monetizing all US debt in 95 years of its 100 years of existence, and certainly not engage in trite religious sermonizing written by a recently graduated drama major-cum-teleprompter operator.

Yikes is that me too:)  I agree some bloggers are junky and are bitching pages..I try not to be...and I'm not making any profit and closer to reality going broke trying to educate all as best I can...

In questioning the insurance exchange..one example did CGI the contractor use the Oracle state insurance exchange platform?  Don't think so and read where CGI built one..more time and expense but to me since the entire project was using Oracle and Access IT, same as Kaiser uses and that was a problem area it would make sense that an Oracle built platform would probably work better...announced in September of 2011

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2011/09/oracle-announces-insurance-exchan...

Here's how it works for Kaiser...video..

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2013/02/kaiser-permanente-using-oracle-ac...

Fact is through all of this we have had a front row seat on how digital illiteracy is affecting the country and we have a government this is totally bliss to this reality...Congress needs to be put on pay for performance and allow us as citizens to develop some metrics for that as well as stuff them into one of the insurance algorithms they boast about all the time that can change behaviors:)  We know most of that is just about scraping and selling data..but let's share the love:)

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2013/10/congress-needs-wellness-portal-as...

Yes indeed until we have good leaders with some tech experience leading HHS, SEC and DOJ as those are IT infrastructure intense agencies the soap opera goes on as you need folks in those positions that have the logic and balance to run the agencies..we don't have that..

In 2009 I predicted that Health IT would completely over run Sebelius as she would be duped and duped again..and nothing personal at all but folks that work with data mechanics see it clear as day..we saw silly priorities with Face book contests and more coming from HHS..please..again that's what I mean as far as geting things moving in the right direction as all laws have IT Infrastructures attached...

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2009/02/kathleen-sebelius-kansas-governor...

One thing for sure, consumers and the government are learning one cold hard lesson about the complexities of IT Infrastructures and the power of math models and algorithms...while the banks keep using them to get out money...

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2013/10/us-consumers-and-government-are.html

Politicians can say anything they want but until someone gives the directive to change the coder running on servers 24/7, nothing happens and so it goes...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1kq8snE2w0

(the way i remember it, hussain obama was sitting astride hillary rodham and the whole cotiere of cunts in our natl. defense team...it's was some kinda high-drama, ZHealots!  wiz-bang sat-links were streaming the heroics in in real-time...then we were told there wasn't 'actually' a video link; but that our commander in chief was directing and monitoring affairs with commandos on the ground.  all kinda shit changed...fo shore!  however, janus nevah recalled this queer narrative: O-bama playing strip poker with reginald LOVE whilst our boys were scaling the prickly paraphats protecting O-sama -- WTF...which is to say, WHAT THE FUCK!?!  is this administration supposed to be the joke it is; is it a double-reverse ruse; are they just out-right toying with america's collective credulity?  perhaps i should repeat: WTF...WHAT THE FUCK).

but it keeps on getting bettah:

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcV_GhewXVc

so, apparantly, the reason the birth certificate took sooo long to secure was O-bama's circuitous and curious youth...'he wuz movin round a bunch...you know, and he, sorta, stumbled acrost it while he wuz, ya know, shufflin through some ole photos...ya know, stuff frank marshall davis was shooting for the sake of posterity...ya know.)

Listen carefully to the bluster and hear what lies behind. His words, and the paranoid actions of the U.S. government: the spying, the military drills and preparations for civil disorder, the creeping currency controls, the limitations on individual liberties, the arming of the police, the attempts to establish infrastructure to control the internet, and the totalitarian visage at airports and public places, and the Orwellian-esque media, all belie a very deep-seeded fear of the population.  There is much talk on here and other internet blogs about psychopaths running the world.  The one common attribute, mental illness, that all totalitarian leaders and secret cabals possess, is paranoia; and paranoia is the partner of fear.  Your government is afraid of you, and fear makes men violent and dangerous.  Do not be afraid of them: lest you become them.

Yeah, it's all the bloggers' and professional activists' (and journalists' and whistleblowers') fault. Lol. How about focusing on the Fed and banker fraud and corruption, and the Rule of Law for the big boys..

This is not solely an Obama Admin problem. This started, excessively, with the Bush Admin, and we'd be in the same situation today no matter what party was sitting in the White House. Nothing would be any different with a President Romney. And nothing will be different under a future President H. Clinton or J. Bush or Rand Paul.

NOTHING can or will change until an economic collapse forces the reset.

Edit: Well, as most of us know here, this started in 1913, and even (way) before... depending upon how big a historical picture one wants to look at.

The threat has NOT been removed. When you have a $17 - $18 trillion debt, the threat can not be removed by increasing the debt limit, because the threat is the debt. Second, how can you ask the people to trust the government that created this debt threat to resolve this threat? We did trust the government and the government violated our trust by creating a $17 - $18 trillion debt, so the President needs to win our trust by balancing the budget to initiate a process that will stop this madness. If you balance the budget, the lobbyists, and the bloggers, the talking heads on radio and the professional activists will have much less influence. A whining President does not promote HOPE.

When are you all going to get it. This POS domestic enemy can be REMOVED (see Amendment 25) due to "INABILITY" i.e physical or Constitutional disability (SEE 3 US Code 19-- that the "person acting as President" can be removed due to INABILITY). He is not a natural born Citizen because he was born BRITISH, of a British subject father, and likely still is British.

This will only stop when we the people make it stop, by gathering at the WH and demanding that this interloper British subject and domestic enemy leave our house. Congress must be exposed for their treason in allowing this POS in our house.

Deuteronomy 17:15:

Thou shalt not put a king over thee who is not thy brother

A2S1C4:

NO PERSON, BUT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN...SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRESIDENT.

"The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners." Minor v. Happersett 88 US 162, 167 (1874)

Minor v. Happersett is US law in the form of SCOTUS precedent. Obama's foreign father diqualifies him from eligibility. He was put in office specifically to void the Constitution. WHEN are you all going to get it?

Look, I'm Belgian. I live in a country of 11 million souls with one king, three languages, four linguistic regions (no, that's not the same) three regions, three communities (which, by the way, don't coincide with the three regions, that would be far too easy) and five (5) parliaments. Our debt to GDP ratio is now well over a 100 percent and we have a French speaking socialist prime minister of Italian descent which I would be happy to trade off for one of your politicians, say Dwight D. Eisenhower, if he's still around. Throughout history, we've been invaded by the Romans, the Franks, the French, the Spanish, the Dutch, the Germans (twice), and now the muslim community is taking a shot at us. If we, on the other hand, would fancy to invade another country, our options would be limited to San Marino, Liechtenstein or - if we feel very, very lucky - the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. My point is, I know a thing or two about dysfunctional countries and governments.  The difference, however, is this: if my government fucks up, nobody cares or even notices, whereas if your government fucks up, I have to buy a Geiger counter, start raising chickens in my backyard and think of contingency plans to keep the golden hordes off my front lawn.  And because of all the shenanigans of those first graders you mistakingly call politicians in your country, I now have to get up each morning at 6.15 to muck out two gigantic hen houses.    Get your act together or we'll forget about San Marino and buy us a boat.

I think Obama is going to have more problems than just 'bloggers' if this gains any real teeth.

http://lionsofliberty.com/2013/10/17/ebay-founder-glen-greenwald-team-up...

It’s rare to get good news as a libertarian, but hope springs eternal!

eBay Founder Pierre Omidyar has stated that he is building a new $250m independent news organization from the bottom up, and that he is partnering with former Guardian reporter and hero to liberty, Glen Greenwald.

“As part of my learning process, I recently reached out to Glenn Greenwald to find out what journalists like him need to do their jobs well. As it turns out, he and his colleagues Laura Poitras and Jeremy Scahill [author and national security expert], were already on a path to create an online space to support independent journalists. We had a lot of overlap in terms of our ideas, and decided to join forces,” wrote Omidyar.

Pierre is looking to appeal to the public at large, and create “engaged” citizens. From the Guardian:

“I developed an interest in supporting independent journalists in a way that leverages their work to the greatest extent possible, all in support of the public interest. And, I want to find ways to convert mainstream readers into engaged citizens. I think there’s more that can be done in this space, and I’m eager to explore the possibilities,” he wrote.

Omidyar also stated that he had “rising concern about press freedoms in the United States and around the world.”

That isn’t all – he has grave concerns over the intrusions on personal privacy and liberty, having followed the story of Edward Snowden very closely.

Yahoo News cites his Twitter feed:

Omidyar’s active Twitter feed suggests he is very concerned about government-spying programs exposed by Greenwald and former U.S. government contractor Edward Snowden. In his blog post, Omidyar spoke of his growing interest in the role that journalism plays in society, and his own support of efforts to promote government accountability and transparency.

In referencing other articles, I’ve also learned that Pierre is very active politically, on both sides of the aisle, working with sitting members of the House and Senate to affect social change and charitable undertakings. However, he hasn’t made a political donation since 2010 and his charities (Hopelab, Ulupono Initiative and Humanity United) don’t push into the liberal darling areas that would bleed into Democratic politics and throw up any red flags for libertarians.

What does worry me a bit is that his donations through the years have gone (in the majority) to Democratic candidates, and some of the absolute worst, including Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. He did give money to a moderate Republican, who voted for social liberties and fiscal conservatism in Jim Greenwood as well. Of course, this was all before the government’s treachery against its own population came to light.

Omidyar’s partnering with Greenwald and also Greenwald’s former colleagues Laura Poitras and Jeremy Scahill indicate that he is dedicated to an honest news organization that will be devoid of liberal (or conservative) leanings. Hopefully that isn’t just an illusion (Greenwald should see to that), and we’ll finally have a news media that reports unbiased facts and isn’t employing reporters angling for a job with the Obama Administration.

It's called Civil Society you fucking fascist.

Obama, the Democrats & RINOs and impotent sellout republicans, the Fed and Google comprise a new era of fascism in America.

The tea party, for all its pejoratives and yahoos, is the independent political center of collapsing America. It will only get bigger and more restless as families become poorer and corporations continue to make the laws for their exclusive profit - like Obamacare.

The Fed could have discharged the $2 trillion in US debt it owns therein deflating the fake debt ceiling argument, never-mind all the trillions in inter-government debt issued.

It's just more money being spent to enslave us in a for-profit surveillance state and otherwise kill poor brown people all over the world.

Not my government anymore.

stop focusing on petty and foolish wastes of time such as, free speech, freedom of association, critical thinking, individuality, independent thought, self expression, self determination, economic, spiritual and psychical independence...

you don't determine your life, your thoughts, your goals and aspirations, only the state does that.

the state gives your life meaning, the state determines your worth and only through the state will your life have value.

you are the state and the state is you, and because I am the head of the state I am also you and I am the head of you and therefor you should only listen to me because we are one and the same in this borg collective state.

The Creature from Jekyll Island
by G. Edward Griffin

Chapter 10

" What is the Mandrake Mechanism?

It's the most important financial lesson of your life!

Who creates the money to pay the interest?

One of the most perplexing questions associated with this process is "Where does the money come from to pay the interest?" If you borrow $10,000 from a bank at 9%, you owe $10,900. But the bank only manufactures $10,000 for the loan. It would seem, therefore, that there is no way that you -- and all others with similar loans -- can possibly pay off your indebtedness. The amount of money put into circulation just isn't enough to cover the total debt, including interest. This has led some to the conclusion that it is necessary for you to borrow the $900 for interest, and that, in turn, leads to still more interest. The assumption is that, the more we borrow, the more we have to borrow, and that debt based on fiat money is a never ending spiral leading inexorably to more and more debt.

This is a partial truth. It is true that there is not enough money created to include the interest, but it is a fallacy that the only way to pay it back is to borrow still more. The assumption fails to take into account the exchange value of labor. Let us assume that you pay back your $10,000 loan at the rate of approximately $900 per month and that about $80 of that represents interest. You realize you are hard pressed to make your payments so you decide to take on a part-time job.

The bank, on the other hand, is now making $80 profit each month on your loan. Since this amount is classified as "interest," it is not extinguished as is the larger portion which is a return of the loan itself. So this remains as spendable money in the account of the bank. The decision then is made to have the bank's floors waxed once a week. You respond to the ad in the paper and are hired at $80 per month to do the job. The result is that you earn the money to pay the interest on your loan, and -- this is the point -- the money you receive is the same money which you previously had paid. As long as you perform labor for the bank each month, the same dollars go into the bank as interest, then out of the revolving door as your wages, and then back into the bank as loan repayment.

It is not necessary that you work directly for the bank. No matter where you earn the money, its origin was a bank and its ultimate destination is a bank. The loop through which it travels can be large or small, but the fact remains all interest is paid eventually by human effort. And the significance of that fact is even more startling than the assumption that not enough money is created to pay back the interest. It is that the total of this human effort ultimately is for the benefit of those who create fiat money.

It is a form of modern serfdom in which the great mass of society works as indentured servants to a ruling class of financial nobility.

Understanding the Illusion . . .

That's really all one needs to know about the operation of the banking cartel under the protection of the Federal Reserve. But it would be a shame to stop here without taking a look at the actual cogs, mirrors, and pulleys that make the magical mechanism work. It is a truly fascinating engine of mystery and deception.

Let us, therefore, turn our attention to the actual process by which the magicians create the illusion of modern money. First we shall stand back for a general view to see the overall action.

Then we shall move in closer and examine each component in detail. " ... g.e.g.

That is the implied threat, and it it absolute bollocks. Big Brother couldn't run a fawcet if it had to run the water (liquidity) itself, as we see very obviously by its failed QE, with insolvent banks still so scared and their political pets still so scared, and their NSA and other cyber projects like the .gov Obamacare being seen as inept, expensive, and blowhard nutjobs.

Literally unworkable, bankrupt, incompetent.

The wo/men behind the curtain are little people, pretending to be the Wizard of Oz, and fearing exposure. All they have is words. No brains. No courage. No heart. They are sociopaths, bullies, as fake as any paper tiger, and so are their counterparts in the rest of the world with a central bank. Frauds, every one of them.

He is a despicable Marxist dupe, bending over for the Internationale as it shifts core interests from West to East, and wants to make the old feudalism into the new fascism with central banks at the head, served by their bureaucrat minions and academic indoctrinators (the declaration of the Trilateral Commission founded by central banksters, and recruiting through its Bilderberg Group. All public knowledge for those who have eyes to see beyond their own bank balance.)

O'bomba is too stupid and too venal to see his own mendacity.

Prepare to defend yourselves. Invoke the 10th Amendment.

You win O. I just resigned from commenting and providing articles at another fin-econ site re: energy.

Might be my last comment here as well, but that private/public partnership called Corporatism/Fascism/Cronyism/Exemptionism, (exceptional) /Insider Tradeism/ Spyism/ Greenism and every ofther fucking color you can think of),  you will require one hell of a teleprompter to pull this shit off. Now you have the floor and I can't wait to see how this works out!

Obviously our prez has little to no understanding of American history. Franklin, Paine, and other 'pamphleteers' were the bloggers of their day and age.....trust me, they would have been right here with us today on the internet.

So very true.

PS

Most people wouldn't understand the word 'blogger', so O'bomba's reference is to the few who do know, the influential minority that influence others. The fraudulent regime of the central bank cartel which he represents is clearly terrified of the Pareto Principle, and its influence.

Bretton Woods III and the Global Savings Glut

Summary

History suggests that periods of global economic expansion are characterized by symbiotic imbalances rather than balanced arrangements that satisfy theoretical ideals. Therefore, it is important to understand the factors that drive the imbalances in each period as well as the resulting distortions. In our view, demographics will have a significant impact on the future trajectory of the world economy. In this report we specifically focus on the implications on savings and current accounts.

Population trends imply that we are entering a phase where rapid aging will cause many countries to generate persistent current account surpluses. This raises the question – who will generate the world’s deficits?

World demographics is not neatly spaced out such that some countries generate surplus savings exactly when others need to fund deficits. Moreover, there are many factors that may prevent surplus countries from funding deficit countries. Thus, we have a situation where countries like India, Brazil and Indonesia may attempt to tame their deficits before old countries like Japan and Germany enter their dissaving phase. The resulting savings glut could be further exacerbated by a likely increase in China’s current account surplus.

Thus, the emerging international economic system, dubbed by us as Bretton Woods III, will yet again depend on the United States to act as the demand source of last resort. Meanwhile, demographics will hold down the real cost of international capital whether or not the US decides to absorb part of it. In turn, the ability of world’s financial system to allocate excess savings will be tested again. Young emerging markets with the ability to sensibly deploy cheap capital could benefit disproportionately from this environment.
