Oh, I'm very familiar with the Snowden news. That is my point exactly. Many, many people are aware of treasonous activities performed by our government on a daily basis and only one(if you beleive the news) spoke up about it. That is immensely disturbing.

The thing that gets me about the Snowden leaks is that the other people who have leaked similar news in the past have been completely ignored by the media but this dude's story has been broadcast far and wide. I thoroughly believe that media and government are run by the same people and that makes everything that is covered by the media suspect. This whole thing is way to wikileaks-y for me. I was expecting something like: the NSA turns on your camera and microphone and listens/watches your every move similar to that scene from Batman: The Dark Knight where he uses people's cell phones like sonar devices. Or maybe the NSA can turn on some unknown part of your phone that can tell through pheromones/brain waves/nano-rf chips given through your anual flu shot what you are about to do or what you are thinking/feeling. Instead we get that the NSA reads our e-mail and listens to our phone calls. Who the fuck didn't already suspect that?

So that would mean that if snowden is also controlled-info-leaker-opposition, then there are no real people speaking out against our government's treasonous activities.

So where does that leave us?

Unfortunately it's not just the government hanging over the cliff. They've dragged a large number of households along with most of the economy along with them. It's just a matter of how much more hang time we have before the impact below.

The one thing that may have changed due to the government shut down is the number of spectators on the sidelines who are pulling up a seat to watch now that they realize there's a big show going on and they want to see the crash.
