There are reports of at least two people who have been shot in Millington.
Emergency crews are responding to 5650 Attu which is listed as the Army National Guard recruiting center.
We are told the shooter is in custody.
A shelter in place order has been given on the base.
Multiple ambulances are on the scene.
False alarm: it wasn't the latest CIA-brainwashed, Project Threadstone failure going on a killing spree: it was just a weaponized argument gone wrong.

Maybe of note - my impression from other news is that nearby Shelbyville has a complexion similar to Dearborn, MI now.

Notice the difference between this and a false flag. No miscommunication, no confusion, no bullshit about there being 3 shooters then later finding out there was only one, no "mentally deranged" stories, no mystery, no questionable motives. Obviously CIA had day off today.

While the Navy A-schools were moved to Pensacola in 1998, the Millington base was not "shuttered." It today hosts the Navy Personnel Command, which is such a huge organization it could be referred to as the "heart of the Navy." NPC has a 2-star Admiral at the top. O-6s bring the man coffee. (And there are usually 75+ Captains on staff there at any given time.) Very top-heavy command.
There is a huge commissary, a nice NEX, the Joe Dugger fitness center, a Branch Medical Clinic, etc. that serve not only the active duty folks there, but also the large retiree community.
The Navy sold the airfield portion of the base to the county in the eighties. But the field still serves as an huricane evacuation destination for the pilot training commands in Whiting Field and Pensacola.

ZH has it's share of Navy vets. We can serve our country and still demand that it be put on the right path away from crony capitalism and fascism. I hate it when vets just line up and support a fascist government. We owe it to America to get out front and demand citizens get their freedom back and to end the crony capitalism and return to a free, fair and open market. That is what all vets organizations should stand for. Not more wars and conquests at the expense of money we do not have and to aid a nation that is not know to have our best interests at heart. Like USS Liberty for one example. Our blood, their lies, and the US government covered it all up due to political pressure from you know who, the forerunner of AIPAC.

I always enjoyed watching the Carrier Air wings come in and land across the bay on North Island in San Diego when I was in the Anti Submarine Warfare School over on Point Loma. Carriers coming into port would fly off the wing into North Island NAS. What a show!

Manthong, my brother in law was with the local PD there in Millington not 6 years ago, before they moved away. It went straight to hell as soon as the airdales left and the base all but folded.

That base has been there for decades; it was used for training enlisted aircraft maintenance personnel (you don't need ships, you need schoolhouses and barracks) until the Cold War ended, and then it got converted into Naval Personnel Command's main headquarters (they outgrew their old digs in Washington DC).
It's not wasteful to reuse facilities that are owned in fee simple.
Looked at the old neighborhood...looks like the Jetway cleaners is just holding on to life.
Someday, when Al Gore is proven right on global warning, that naval base in Tennessee will come in very handy.

Good grief. The term "MOS" is not used in the Navy. There are no A-schools in Millington; those were moved to Pensacola in 1998. There is no USMC presence in Millington; but there might have been some jarhead boots passing through for school back when the A-schools were still there.

When you severely restrict firearms on military bases it’s a hell of a lot easier for someone with a firearm on a military base to run around blowing people away unopposed for a long time. Seems to be a lot of that going around these days.

Naval Air Station. From way back when you couldn't ferry aircraft coast to coast in one leg. It was a huge training facility, all the freakin air crew were there up until the 90's / early 2000's. Pretty sure it's all but closed down now though, just a skeleton.
The 2 injured weekend warriors probably paid their buddy to shoot them in the leg and foot because Ofuckface was going to send them over to M/E or Afghanistan to play in the sandbox.

I think it is a supply depot. Kind of centrally located so you can send things to Florida, Alabama, and VA.
Or it is a relic like our local Air Force Base. Used to be a SAC base. But since we dont have much SAC left, we just use their golf course.
