5 Years & 6000 Points: Can Janet Yellen Make It Different This Time?
The NYSE Composite is indicating some uncomfortable symmetry currently. As NewEdge's Brad Wishak notes, the index (which represents 61% of the market capitalization of globally listed companies) has risen about the same amount over the same period as in the run-up of the last debt-fueled bubble (only this time the valuations are notably richer). Will Janet Yellen make sure this time is different...? Or is the right question, 2007 USA or 2006 Zimbabwe?

I still own some stocks, I wish I owned more so I could sell them right now. I likely will sell some more ASAP when back in the USSA. Some of the proceeds will go to gold, some to pay Capital Gains Tax.

OT: The auto-play ads are starting to kill me with this site. I've donated a couple of times so hope I have some input. Pop-ups don't bother me, but I like to load multiple articles and go through them one at a time. In doing so, all of a sudden, I have to find which of the pages has started blasting some horrible commercial. Most do now. I tried just turning the volume off while reading but some links and some comments have a video. As soon as I turn the volume up, boom, there's an ad running in the background. I don't want to load some sort of ad blocker because ad revenue is probably important, but I will soon if this keeps up. It sucks.

Those ~6,000 points came with ~$3+ Trillion in Fed balance-sheet stuffing and ~$7 Trillion in debt that the Fed has helped facilitate.
