False Alarm: Obama Will Continue Spying On "Allies" After All
In a dramatic change of events that is a) sure to not win the administration any goodwill point with the citizens of the free, or enslaved, world or their insolvent leaders so desperately reliant on the US for day to day funding, and b) will confirm the state of complete policy chaos that is at the core of the Obama administration's handling of the ObamaPhone spygate (where for some reason the fact that the US spied on foreigners, as it should, has taken far more precedence over the NSA intercepting and recording each and every domestic communication, with neither checks nor balances), the earlier reported news originating from the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Dianne Feinstein, who said that "the White House has informed me that collection on our allies will not continue, which I support" was a fabrication.
Instead, as The Hill reported shortly thereafter, "A senior administration official on Monday rejected Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Diane Feinstein's claim that the U.S. has halted intelligence collection against its allies. In a statement released earlier Monday, the California Democrat said that the White House "has informed me that collection on our allies will not continue." But the administration official called that statement "not accurate." In other words, the situation surrounding Obama's global Watergate hotel, has devolved to a state where the executive and the Chair of the Legislative's intelligence committee are not even able to communicate in order to get their story straight about lying what the US will and won't do in the future. Because, needless to say, any promise that the US won't do what it obviously will continue doing as there is absolutely no downside to doing so, is merely the latest lie in long and illustrious chain of seasonally adjusted truths.
From The Hill:
"While we have made some individual changes, which I cannot detail, we have not made across the board changes in policy like, for example, terminating intelligence collection that might be aimed at all allies," the administration official said.
And then the confusion and backtracking began:
After the administration’s statement, a spokesman for Feinstein clarified that the senator intended to say that the U.S. was ceasing "collection on foreign allied leaders.”
Feinstein also said that it was her understanding President Obama "was not aware" the U.S. had been monitoring the cellphone of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that Obama first learned of the program, which apparently began in 2002, during an internal audit of intelligence practices this summer.
Why do we know Obama is "not" lying? Because he had no comment.
In an interview Monday afternoon with Fusion, the president refused to comment when asked about when he became aware of the surveillance.
What we do know, is that Obama no longer has a direct feed to Merkel's cell phone. Whatever that means:
The administration has announced at least one determination, however. White House press secretary Jay Carney said last week that Obama assured Merkel in a private phone conversation that the administration was not currently monitoring her cell phone, nor would they do so in the future.
All the BS aside, in retrospect if indeed the NSA, being a government agency, does its job with the "efficiency" with which the government makes up lies on the fly, then there is absolutely nothing to worry about. For either the allies of the US, as long as that special status continues, or the billions of electronic communications intercepted among US citizens each day.

Merkel isn’t going to do squat. Obama knows, and so does Edward Snowden, that Merkel’s BND is doing the exact same thing to its EU brothers in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and certainly the former East Bloc states. The BND also spies on Germans, too, both at home and abroad. In fact, I’ll bet Snowden is going to let her hang herself, then leak what the BND is doing to whom. The BND, by the way, comes directly under Merkel’s office.
Wouldn't Barry have to prove it, thus exposing methods and sources of his spying, and of clearly knowing about it all along, thus incriminating himself?

We also have retained the right to spy on their hairdressers, mailmen and personal trainers. With that information we no longer need to tap them directly and can continue to build a profile. It is also important we build profiles on up and coming politicians that we may like to mentor for future service to the US.. I mean their countries.
Spying on friends and lying is a time honored acceptable practice. We may need information to encourage Frau Merkel to adopt a position that she may feel will harm her politically. On the other hand, we can provide intel on what the other parties in Germany are doing that can help her win a close election! She doth protest too much, haha.
Any general business or finance information discussed with legislators is routed to the friends of the NSA. It's all acceptable if you put it in historical perspective".

I'm sure when pressed, Obama will have no knowlege that he decided to continue to spy on our allies.

No, no. That is far too agressive for a progressive. Merkel should pull alittle sovereign number on the POTUS air craft and collaborate with otherEuro leaders to make Air Force 1 land after denying air space rights or refueling. Better yet deny take off by blocking the runway if his planeputs down anywhere in the Euro Zone. If it is good enough for Evo Morales is is good enough for the POTUS.

The 'NSA Program', started as far back as 1986-87 under President (1981-89) Reagan during the Afghanistan War and USSR. Pakistan played a big part in its evolution? After the U.S. pulled out in 1989 the U.S. realized they had created a monster in Pakistan by the name of A.Q. Khan (the Father of Pakistan's Nuclear Program,... now in 2013 having ~125 Nuclear Weapons that can strike in a moments notice!)! Pakistan is perhaps the USSA's biggest threat other than North Korea, the looney-tunes of the entire world and China's benevolent ugly-duckling neighborino! Iran is not a problem and never was! The problem with Pakistan is that it borders 1500 miles of Southern Afghanistan, and in late 2006 Pakistan's "FATA" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federally_Administered_Tribal_Areas ) became a "Adult Franchise",... a wild, wild west, with seven notorious regions especially North Waziristan!?!
Now, getting back to that nascent "NSA Program" that's now a teenager. The 9-11 attacks in 2001 set the stage for the NSA's rocket booster program, so to say mildly. As some defensive analysis have said: why not attack/ destroy Citibank and the Bank of NY rather than the Twin Towers? they could have destroyed America's financial system which at the time traded/handled transactions per day upwards of $6.0 Trillion between the two in an economy of $14.2 Trillion! Why?!? Oh well?
In 1992-96 the "NSA Program" was getting its legs, since it had officially been developed many years before as I've mentioned above and was called 'SHARKFINN" and many other comical names of todays nefarious cartoon characters. It's next turn of name-calling was of a alphanumeric hint`tint (?)... SCI, RT10, RTRG, CNA/CND, (Stuxnet?),etel, and Prism as the grand finale via 'Snowd'en`D's Revenge', in 2013!
How did it get out of hand? Ask Bush $43 and MRS. DodgeDrafter Cheney?!? Obama was briefed by McConnell and Morell in 2008 (Bush's/ Reagan People?) that the 9-11 attackers had all lived and operated in the USSA for a year and a half (18 months min.) before the set-up? So... Mr. Obi knew long ago what was going on, and he's a hands-on guy, so nothing gets by em, without him personally knowing, period! Although, as much as I would like to just ignore this data... it is in Obi's defense-- In 2008 al Qaeda was recruiting in ~34-36 countries who didn't need a visa to enter the USSA (al Qaeda is backed by BandarBush?) and our human-resource spy-network was only as good as our Embassies and Consulates in which we've lost a few... espescially because of our unnecessary bickering with Iran that could have been solved twenty years ago and saved us alot of legwork if only Israel would 'BUGG-Out', in more ways than one!?!
So, that just about rounds it out regarding our ridiculous Prism Program, that has single-handedly created more problems and distrust (the one thing that the civilized world needs today, eg. the ME!!! &, what a pathetic Foreign Relations Agenda America has morphed into in the last two-scores+/+, today,... infested with so much greed and contempt towards the rest of the world's weaker sisters--- SHAME!!!) for the 'Free-World' than any terrorist group could ever have hoped to accomplish!
