Why Obamacare is a Success......by Wayne Allyn Root

There are 2 major political parties in America. I’m a member of the naïve, stupid, and cowardly one. I’m a Republican. How stupid is the GOP? They still don’t get it. I told them 5 years ago, 2 books ago, a national bestseller ago (“The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide”), and in hundreds of articles and commentaries, that Obamacare was never meant to help America, or heal the sick, or lower healthcare costs, or lower the debt, or expand the economy.

The GOP needs to stop calling Obamacare a “trainwreck.” That means it’s a mistake, or accident. That means it’s a gigantic flop, or failure. It’s NOT. This is a brilliant, cynical, and purposeful attempt to damage the U.S. economy, kill jobs, and bring down capitalism. It’s not a failure, it’s Obama’s grand success. It’s not a “trainwreck,” Obamacare is a suicide attack. He wants to hurt us, to bring us to our knees, to capitulate- so we agree under duress to accept big government.

Obama’s hero and mentor was Saul Alinsky - a radical Marxist intent on destroying capitalism. Alinksky’s stated advice was to call the other guy “a terrorist” to hide your own intensions. To scream that the other guy is “ruining America,” while you are the one actually plotting the destruction of America. To claim again and again…in every sentence of every speech…that you are “saving the middle class,” while you are busy wiping out the middle class.

The GOP is so stupid they can’t see it. There are no mistakes here. This is a planned purposeful attack. The tell-tale sign isn’t the disastrous start to Obamacare. Or the devastating effect the new taxes are having on the economy. Or the death of full-time jobs. Or the overwhelming debt. Or the dramatic increases in health insurance rates. Or the 70% of doctors now thinking of retiring- bringing on a healthcare crisis of unimaginable proportions. Forget all that.

The real sign that this is a purposeful attack upon capitalism is how many Obama administration members and Democratic Congressmen are openly calling Tea Party Republicans and anyone who wants to stop Obamacare “terrorists.” There’s the clue. Even the clueless GOP should be able to see that. They are calling the reasonable people…the patriots…the people who believe in the Constitution…the people who believe exactly what the Founding Fathers believed…the people who want to take power away from corrupt politicians who have put America $17 trillion in debt…terrorists?

That’s because they are Saul Alinsky-ing the GOP. The people trying to purposely hurt America, capitalism and the middle class…are calling the patriots by a terrible name to fool, confuse and distract the public.

Obamacare is a raving, rollicking, fantastic success. Stop calling it a failure. Here is what it was created to do. It is succeeding on all counts.

#1) Obamacare was intended to bring about the Marxist dream- redistribution of wealth. Rich people, small business owners, and the middle class are being robbed, so that the money can be redistributed to poor people (who vote Democrat). Think about it. If you’re rich or middle class, you now have to pay for your own healthcare costs (at much higher rates) AND 40 million other people’s costs too (through massive tax increases). So you’re stuck paying for both bills. You are left broke. Brilliant.

#2) Obamacare was intended to wipe out the middle class and make them dependent on government. Think about it. Even Obama’s IRS predicts that health insurance for a typical American family by 2016 will be $20,000 per year. But how would middle class Americans pay that bill and have anything left for food or housing or living? People that make $40K, or $50K, or $60K can’t possibly hope to spend $20K on health insurance without becoming homeless. Bingo. That’s how you make middle class people dependent on government. That’s how you make everyone addicted to government checks. Brilliant.

#3) As a bonus, Obamacare is intended to kill every decent paying job in the economy, creating only crummy, crappy part-time jobs. Why? Just to make sure the middle class is trapped, with no way out. Just to make sure no one has the $20,000 per year to pay for health insurance, thereby guaranteeing they become wards of the state. Brilliant.

#4) Obamacare is intended to bankrupt small business, and therefore starve donations to the GOP. Think about it. Do you know a small business owner? I know hundreds of them. Their rates are being doubled, tripled and quadrupled by Obamacare. Guess who writes 75% of the checks to Republican candidates and conservative causes? Small business. Even if a small business owner manages to survive, he or she certainly can’t write a big check to the GOP anymore. Money is the “mother’s milk” of politics. Without donations, a political party ceases to exist. Bingo. That’s the point of Obamacare. Obama is bankrupting his political opposition and drying up donations to the GOP. Brilliant.

#5) Obamacare is intended to make the IRS all-powerful. It adds thousands of new IRS agents. It puts the IRS in charge of overseeing 15% of the U.S. economy. The IRS has the right because of Obamacare to snoop into every aspect of your life, to go into your bank accounts, to fine you, to frighten you, to intimidate you. And Obama and his socialist cabal have access to your deepest medical secrets. By law your doctor has to ask your sexual history. That information is now in the hands of Obama and the IRS to blackmail GOP candidates into either not running, or supporting bigger government, or leaking the info and ruining your campaign. Or have you forgotten the IRS harassed, intimidated and persecuted critics of Obama and conservative groups? Now Obama hands the IRS even more power. Big Brother rules our lives. Brilliant.

#6) Obamacare is intended to unionize 15 million healthcare workers. That produces $15 billion in new union dues. That money goes to fund Democratic candidates and socialist causes- thereby guaranteeing Obama’s friends never lose another election, and Obama’s policies keep ruining capitalism and bankrupting business owners long after he’s out of office.

Message to the GOP: This isn’t a game. This isn’t tiddly-winks. This is a serious, purposeful attempt to highjack America and destroy capitalism. This isn’t a trainwreck. It’s purposeful suicide. It’s not failing, it’s working exactly according to plan. Obama knows what he’s doing. Stop apologizing and start fighting.  John Boehner:  you said this isn’t a DAMN Game.....how right you were.  You just didn’t know it.

Oh and one more thing…Conservatives aren’t “terrorists.” We are patriots and saviors. We represent the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. We are the heroes and good guys. Unless you get all this through your thick skulls, America is lost…forever.

While the administration makes plans to not know anything and blame terrorists, there is actually a loaded gun aimed at every single American citizen.  That is Fukushima.  All that "non-toxic" tritium is coming over in the rain and in the food that is collected from the sea.

First comes the thyroid cancer, then in 10 years comes lung cancer, then the other organ cancers show up.  It may not hit you the reader, but it is certainly going to kill a lot of people you know and love.

The administrations victory will taste like ashes in the mouth.  They can rule over grave yard America soon enough.

Raised in a dysfunctional leftist household, a slacker (by his own admission) affirmative action kid, rises up through college (some grades still unknown of course) into the ranks of the elite shake-down artists known as "community organizer/agitators" fighting for the poor & downtrodden (which he never was) to be become a junior senator from Chicago (of all fucking places) who, as one "distinguished elder senator" described as being "clean & articulate" enough to be placed in the pantheon of world leaders (who after such razzzist pap, was picked as the babbling fool he is, for his Veep).

All the people that down arrowed the Fukushima comment, should read the book that Russian Scientists published about Chernobyl. The book is very expensive but you can get it through your library system. It tells you in detail how the MSM lied for years (up to today) about he true consequences and deaths due to the accident. Fukushima is an ongoing accident, they have not been able to isolate the Corium from the melted reactors and they still have hundreds of rods, some new in cooling pools exposed to tha ambient. Pools that could fail at any time. We have a bazooka pointed at our heads, not simply a gun.

This post supposes that Obomba is some kind of evil genius. He's not. He's just completely and utterly out of his depth. Community organizer and one-term state senator is NOT adequate preparation for a job of this size. As a result, all he can do is rely on "experts" like Geithner; Summers; Hilary. Now that his "experts" are letting him down, he's retreated to a small circle of the faithful: Susan Rice, Jay Carney etc. He didn't consult Sibelius when the ACA debacle started; he didn't consult Kerry or Hagel when trying to "fix" US MidEast policy. He's cornered. No, it's not evil genius, it's plain old total incompetence.

The only promise he's kept since day 1 was to "fundamentally transform the nation."  He's sure as shit done that.  Transform it into utopia for statists, control freaks, power brokers and sociopaths, with himself at the top of it.

In the grand sense you are right.  But, such statements lack perspective.  In the context of where we came from... especially the Y and Millenials, they never knew any different world than one that expanded at incredible rates.  Leverage was the norm.  Without it you fell behind (seemingly).

Without student loans, none of those kids would have been able to attend college, which they were told if they didn't go, they would be working at McDonalds or Walmart.  What they weren't told is, even if they did go, they would be working at McDonalds or Walmart.

Don't blame them, they were lied to.  I include myself in this 'lied to' category.  When I went to school, it was on the premise (which I should have questioned) that Baby Boomers would be retiring en masse, right around now.  They aren't because of recession.  That wasn't part of the projections.

Second response is 'I did and do question and what a rough experience that is. I feel like a genius (I am clearly not) among irrational morons. Once money is dishonest, your realistic, honest, upstanding, and moral choices get really thin.'

At this point, there is really only one path to restoration, and nobody is going to do it for you but we might get it done together.

Not much sympathy for the unquestioning left, perhaps our oligarchs will do us the favor of unburdening our ability to find common ground.

"Your pensions" were never taken away. Any pension promised by law is intact. Pensions created as investments with risk were, and always will be, in risk. You have the burden of educating yourself on the risks associated with your investments(pensions). Obviously I can't know everyone's situation, so even if you did find yourself in some unfortunate situation where your pension was promised by law and yet still taken away, I am sorry, but it is not everyone elses fault you did not prepare for your own future.

Some people "lost" 40% or more of their retirment in 2008. But guess what - if you had left it alone, like any well-balanced, logical investor would have, you would now have recovered those losses. Yes, it is shocking that creating a diversified investment portfolio still requires long-term discipline, but one day maybe you too can figure that out.

It's really simple. Save 10% of YOUR OWN money. Every - single - paycheck. Don't touch it. Not for any reason. Not for emergencies. Nothing. It's not there. It belongs to future you. When you are young, invest in higher risk items, like stocks, ETFs, real estate, and gold(if you are a paranoid, uninformed, illogical fuck) - as you age, move some of your investments to lower risk items, such as CDs, bonds, cash, and gold(if you are still a paranoid fuck (seriously, why would anybody buy gold during volatile times? Unless you are planning on flipping it like a shitty real-estate investment(CASH4GOLD BITCH!@#), you ARE going to lose money - it's a hedge. not a fucking investment - pro tip: buy low, sell high)).

Oh look!!!! Do some fairly simple math and you will find out that someone who saves that 10% of every paycheck can retire at 60 and fairly comfortably live out their life without relying on some mystical pension. I pay 7.5% (actually 15%) of my paycheck to social security and medicare every check, yet I have absolutely no confidence that I will receive anything significant back from it. So I save money myself, for myself.

Overriding is not enough, o great Anus. It is in the very overlap of moral spheres, where something is both right and wrong at once, that lets one be a channel of immorality while putting on the moral mask.

Some people who do nothing but preach get PhDs in the topics of some stuff I say, you know, and they get paid a fuckton more than I do writing code and designing circuits and sitting under the microscope with a soldering iron everyday. But the weight of my word holds true because I'm here, I work hard, and my actions manifest themselves into real tangible things - and that's only the bare minimum requirement for being a human being. Once you can say you're a human being, you can then aim to be a scholar - you seek and retain knowledge and permute and extrapolate. Wisdom is the result of your analysis of knowledge.

The present foodchain, as everyone knows, is:

Grand masters of planet Earth -> Un-named elites -> named elites -> bankstas -> politicos -> politico asskissers -> scum

The politicos present and maintain the dichotomy, broadcast by the media. If we had a strength meter for doublethink, it would be highest in the politicos because they constantly lie while seeing the reality. It doesn't take a fucking genius to understand the difference between the options you have with a 20k vs. 100k vs. 10M salary. The politico may be rich and well taken care of, but he knows that there are a shitload of people living well under 20K a year and he doesn't want to know what it's like. He's fucking scared as motherfuck of the concept that he'll have nothing, that he'll have to sleep in a bush. So he knows damn well what the fuck he's doing. The fusion of the moral and the immoral spheres does not happen by accident.

There once was a man and his brother.

Together, they owned a successful company.

One day, the man and his brother temporarily only had one client. The client got cold feet and wanted out. Rather than simply pulling out and having to pay a fine for breach of contract, the client starved the man and his brother's company to death.

The Man and his brother lost everything, and it is said that this mask was the very image of the man's facial expression the day that he went mad.

The liberal Obamacare is no different than the conservative's Terrorismcare: a system designed to create failure because it is deeply flawed, that calls for an expanded system to deal with the failures that in turn creates even more failures. It's the internal logic of how government 'works'.

Both liberals and conservatives believe that their way is the only correct way. Both involve expanding government.

BULLSHIT!    the core is Koch / Perterson et al ---> controlling sheeple

this obamacare is neither what you represent which is some kind of alleged Marxist plot - nor what obama says is the savior for those without medical care.

its direct objective is to "eliminate" a major cost of big business that is medical benefits from their cost of doing business for existing and retired workers

Since WWII business assumed the responsibility for offering medical insurance plans to the workers - they now want this offloaded directly to the middle class and eliminate them (corporations) as middlemen -with "words" about covering the costs of worker direct insurnace purchase by increasing the wages of the workers - it will never happen! once they have done this  - costs will escalate again squeezing the middleclass

the PROOF - is the creation of the 401k and simultaneous pension law changes (ERISA) in early 70's - 401k was never designed for average worker pension system - it was meant for upper management - was USED - as a way of getting out of defined benefit pension programs - en mass by big business - which became a rush by the 90's -today no one is getting the equivalent risk of defined benefit program in 1970's from their 401k - worker had NO repsonsibility, no risk and defined monthly payout....forever!

this obamacare is disguised attempt - same way - to screw the workers again losing a benefit they took for granted

next stop Social Security "Insurance" -the  label was same for 70 years.... today they call it an "entitlement"

If you think the Koch brothers represent all convervatives, or that all conservatives agree with the Kock brothers, you've either got a very simplistic worldview and/or are insane.

Newsflash: the vast majority of the conservatives you meet on the street want your life to be better and don't want to control you, and the same is true for liberals. These massive legislative efforts at the federal level have nothing to do with the average joe or their political beliefs. It's all about control -- of power, people, and finances. Odd are 99% of your next door neighbors are "the good guys," conservative or liberal.

Obamacare is just another part of The Big Plan to get the Fat Cats fatter and the livestock poorer. It was engineered in the GHW Bush administration, a fact that most of you seem to either not comprehend or ignore. Obama is just another one of the long line of robber barons and their puppets.

"When Scully finally began his speech, he noted that the prevailing narrative among Republicans — assuming that many in the room were, like him, Republican — was incorrect. “It’s not a government takeover of medicine,” he told the crowd. “It’s the privatization of health care.” In fact, Obamacare, he said, was largely based on past Republican initiatives. “If you took George H. W. Bush’s health plan and removed the label, you’d think it was Obamacare.”

Scully then segued to his main point, one he has been making in similarly handsome dining rooms across the country: No matter what investors thought about Obamacare politically — and surely many there did not think much of it — the law was going to make some people very rich. The Affordable Care Act, he said, wasn’t simply a law that mandated insurance for the uninsured. Instead, it would fundamentally transform the basic business model of medicine. With the right understanding of the industry, private-sector markets and bureaucratic rules, savvy investors could help underwrite innovative companies specifically designed to profit from the law. Billions could flow from Washington to Wall Street, indeed.

Scully, who has spent the last 30-some years oscillating between government and the private sector, is hoping to be his own best proof of the Obamacare gold mine. As a principal health policy adviser under President George H. W. Bush, he helped formulate many of those past Republican initiatives — like the shift to private-insurance programs — that Obamacare has put into law. Under George W. Bush, he ran the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and oversaw a host of proto-Obamacare reforms, like Medicare Part D, which introduced competition into the government-supported health care market. After leaving C.M.S. in 2004, Scully began working simultaneously at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a leading health care private equity firm, and Alston & Bird, a law firm and health care lobbying organization. When the Affordable Care Act became law in 2010, he found himself in the rare position of being a lobbyist, private equity executive and former government health care official with access to a serious amount of capital. During the past three years, as other Republicans have tried to overturn Obamacare, Scully searched for a way to make a killing from it.

"No matter what investors thought about Obamacare politically — and surely many there did not think much of it — the law was going to make some people very rich."

This is such horseshit it's amazing...so all of you people seriously believe that Obama, who has been in "power" since January 2009, has brought about complete devastation of the American economy and will lead ot its ultimate downfall?  All that in 5 years..amazing.  Ok geniuses, what was your economic situation in January 2009 versus today? What was the global economic situation in January 2009? The only thing worse than this comment is your memory. We are the only country that allows its citizens to go bankrupt because they cannot pay for their healthcare--and, oh wait, most people who are forced into bankruptcy because of health care costs actually have insurance. Obama is the only president who has actually tried to do something about it.  Is it perfect? Of course not, but in the past all major pieces of legislation had multiple amendments and changes before they were considered successful (social security, energy, etc.). in this case, GOP hasn't played ball at all to try to create a good law. I suppose you also believe that auto liability insurance should be optional. That didn't work as people will at some point get into an accident and who pays for the deaths or injuries to the family of 5?  Well, even young, healthy people will break an arm and who is going to pick up the $50,000 cost of the emergency room?  I would love to tell all those proud Texans who don't have health insurance because they're young and dammit they get to choose...that, hey, if and when you do have an accident, I will take a piece of your salary out for the next decade until you pay it off. Wait, isn't that what mandatory insurance is for? Oh right.  As for the Marxist comment, shifting the gini coefficient a bit = marxism?  Social instability is all that results from over-concentration of wealth, and while companies hoard cash and fire employees to raise their ROE for their shareholders, what happens? More unemployed.  If you want to blame the destruction of employment, you should aim your ire at Silicon Valley.  After all, it's the redundancy brought about by technology that's causing so many people to be out of work.  If your job can be replaced by a server and software, then you have little chance of remaining where you are or getting paid what you used to--or both. You want to save small businesses?  Pass a regulation that forces large companies to pay their vendors in a reasonable period of time rather than using them as a bank to make money. With a net 30 rule, Ill bet you could cut small business failures in half overnight. And then you want to rein in the IRS?  If you and I pay our taxes, why should some shithead get away with parking his money in Switzerland and not paying taxes?  If you cheat on your taxes, then you should go to jail and pay huge fines.  And enough about fucking taxes--a recent KMPG report showed that the effective (no geniuses, marginal rates don't mean anything) rate, including social security, on $100K of income is 26% in the US, placing us 55th out of 94 countries. So the answer is to reduce the IRS's manpower to enforce? Fuck that, if someone isn't paying taxes, I want that guy going to prison. Your approach seems to be to fire the police just because you don't want someone to stop you from robbing the store.  Idiocy.

How, exactly, is it possible to cheat a thief?

Geez, what a total dickhead.  There is no "left/right" other than to create divisiveness amongst the populace, while the controllers, who OWN it all, who receive ALL income tax payments which flow upstream into the hands of the 1%, as they are laughing at us sheeple while we argue mundane and useless propagandized drivel about nationalism, representative government, voting, and all the tourist crap which means NOTHING to these elite.

So, quit being such a twit and realize that if the 1% wern't sucking out all of the wealth out of this country (and the world), then you would not need all your socialized programs to save you from a paradigm of scarcity which you dont have the balls to see or admit.

Just more debt chasing more debt needed to chase more debt, some kind of Keynesian circle jerk based on some new deal slavery to "save" us from our own ignorance and stupidity, as we cling to bullshit progressiveness and illusory religious and dogmatic moralism bereft of any common sense, balls, or moxi to get off our asses and fire the psychopathic sons of bitches who we ALLOWED to take over the world and bankrupt and steal from us.

When are you going to wake the fuck up?

Just another notch, albeit a big one, in the transformation to a fascist America.  It fits nicely with the CRA, NAFTA, NSA, NDAA the Patriot Act, No student left behind, Johnson's broke society, the MIC.....

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798

"The GOP is so stupid they can’t see it."

Really?  While I agree with everything said but this, I'd like to invite you to follow the money. Namely Wellpoint who crafted the ACA bill.

To say the GOP is stupid, is well, REALLY FUCKING STUPID.

Or the author is so stupid he can't tell the GOP is in on it.

Mr. Root is writing from a mistaken premise. He thinks the republicans are naive. They aren't naive, they're in on it too. We do not have a two party system in reality. The same hand feeds and leads them both alike. There is no true opposition party anymore. The only chance we have is for people to start backing third parties in meaningful numbers {until they too are co-opted}. The new republicans are men like Christie of New Jersey, Rubio of Florida, Graham of South Carolina and McCain of Arizona. I call them republicrats. Look at Romney, there was very little difference between him and Obama. We are so screwed.

Wrong. The GOP is not stupid. The GOP is part of it you moron (or perhaps  "agent"). They are playing "good cop, bad cop".
This is a planned purposeful attack. By both parties.

I just had another naivete bubble pop whilst reading this comment. It's right for all of the wrong reasons. Pff... Lecturing Republicans about waking up when they are essentially part of the game... Ridiculous... It's like telling the snakes stealing the eggs out of the chicken coop that they need to wake up to what all those wily old foxes are up to.

It is just mind-boggling to me after all the high quality information that can be found on this blog that so many of the commenters think this is some socialism vs. capitalism conflict or republican vs. democrat or whatever... If you still think so, then you are essentially playing tiddlywinks yourself. I have no doubt that the profound "misfiring" of Obamacare is no accident, but calling it a Marxist plot is goofy. It is just another way to scoop more money and into the ravenous maw of a system utterly out of control. Yeah... Obamacare is shit icing but on what kind of cake? It has been a shit cake for quite some time. Can we really say there was much a free market before Obamacare? I would say no, but then again I am thinking that having the same access to healthcare that promotes health as to healthcare that promotes pharmaceutical dependence would constitute a free market in the long run.

It is not just the military-industrial complex of Eisenhower's time. It is a military-industrial-pharmaceutical-media complex. You can call it marxism or fascism if you want, but it is simply a meat grinder that takes people in and churns them up.

I tend to favor conservative and free market ideas. However, what at this point is there to conserve? And when was the last time we had a free market in anything? I just don't think the left/right, capitalism/socialism really describes what we are seeing anymore, but I haven't the slightest idea what to call it. Humans vs. relentlessly evil douchebags? Yeah... For the moment, I think I will call it relentlessly-evil-douchebag-ism. That is a lot to say though every time you need to use that phrase.

"How stupid is the GOP" Are you ignorant? The GOP is on Obama's side. To use a cliche, its a two party dictatorship.

The lengths the GOP went to change their own election rules so the most popular candidate was NOT the presidential nominee should have destroryed any doubts that the GOP is completely and utterly compromised. There is no doubt, the GOP IS compromised, totally.
