The 10 Commandments Of Government

Tyler Durden's picture

Via Doug Ross' Director Blue blog,

I Generally speaking, government always grows -- it never shrinks -- whether times are good or bad.

II In each area it purports to "assist", government attempts to replace individual decision-making with central planning.

III In order to implement its grand central plans and solidify its power, government must take from one citizen to give to another; this is, in effect, lawful theft.

IV No matter how many times central planning fails, the self-appointed masterminds in government assert that "this time is different" and that with only a few tweaks and more money, their delusional plans will succeed.

V Because it uses funds confiscated from taxpayers, self-restraint is no obstacle to government's ambitions.

VI Its fundamental misunderstanding of human nature notwithstanding, government must claim to grant "rights", which require it steal the labors of one citizen to give to another (such as food, shelter, employment, and health care).

VII No matter how widespread the harm it causes, government will never provide an honest and historical accounting -- a report card -- of its failures.

VIII As more individuals and families are harmed by the failures of central planning, government must find suitable scapegoats, must lie to do so, and therefore must also repress dissent.

IX In order to build its network of redistribution and grow a culture of dependency on its services, government must inevitably undermine the family unit, religion, and the notion of God-given rights in order to cow, bribe, or intimidate its citizens.

X As government grows ever more powerful, it must also become increasingly oppressive through compulsion and force. To do otherwise would mean government must shrink, and this it cannot do.

Any of these characteristics recognizable?

In reality, only two are needed:

I) Thou shalt defend the borders of the USA.

II) Thou shalt provide true justice to evil-doers.

Governments don't obey rules.  They try to survive by any means necessary - no matter how well-conceived or previously behaved.

Slightly off-topic, but the LAX shooter seems to have been a little miffed about the fed:

Ciancia’s language and references seemed to put him squarely in the conspiracy-minded world of the antigovernment “Patriot” movement. The New World Order refers to a longstanding conspiracy theory that today, in its most popular iteration, claims that global elites are plotting to form a socialistic “one-world government” that would crush American freedoms. Often, the root of the alleged conspiracy is traced to the 1913 creation of the Federal Reserve and the adoption of fiat currency — paper money that is not backed by gold, as it was once was in the U.S.

He's anti-government and therefore a turr'rist.  Please contact your local FBI office if you know anyone with similar views or associations.

So we should get rid of all regulation so the corporate fascists can rape everyone?

What commandments are the Jews using to run cartels in Wall St., The Government, Media?

Did they get these jobs because they are the most qualified? Because the dot com fraud and everything since has put any other mafia to shame. What if instead of the perpetual victims, the Jews, it was the Scientologist or the Black Panthers infiltrating these positions and extracting trillions and getting us to fight wars for Israel?

And how does Tyler not even mention any of this? Because Zero Hedge is founded by disgraced and banned insider traders.

Zero Hedge scares you suckers out of the market so you don't raise the price of something they want to buy before Ben B prints more money for them next month.

Seriously. What if instead of Jews they where any other cartel or cult, would you notice what a disease it is? You don't because you've been submerged it your whole life.

OK Tyler,

Let me hear you talk about power positions in government held by Jews with duel citizenship to Israel.

How about the largest lobby in Washington. Any guesses? It's the pro Israel lobby. Not only do they send our taxes to Israel. They keep their wars against the Arabs going with a little help from our sons and daughters.

The Jews in media confuse the public. The Jews in finance cheat the confused public. The Jews in government let the blatant fraud committed by their tribesmen go unpunished. And the media makes sites like Zero Hedge to catch the angry, desperate, victims to sell gold and other crap to.

If the Jews where Mormans, Yakuzas, or Latin Disciples you wouldn't think they where so smart or think they deserved their positions just because they prayed to the same imaginary bullshit that says they should start a cartel and rob you.

Oh and who do you think made the trades on the airlines and the tenants of the twin towers days before 911? Arabs? You can look up news stories on this topic from the days after the attack. Who would have known and who works in finance? Who works in fanace that could destroy the record of the trades? Arabs? Sumerians? Jews.

There where hundreds of Israeli spies in America during 911. Some of them that lived near the hijackers where happy to see us attacked.

@The Fed is owned by the royal families.

HERE THEN, according to Eustace Mullins, ARE THOSE FOR WHOM BERNANKE WORKS:

“The shareholders of these banks which own the stock of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (which sets the interest rates and directs open market operations, thus controlling the daily supply and price of money whose stockholders are the real directors of the entire system) are the people who have controlled our political and economic destinies since 1914.

“They are the Rothschilds, of Europe, Lazard Freres (Eugene Meyer), Kuhn Loeb Company, Warburg Company, Lehman Brothers, GoldmanSachs, the Rockefeller family, and the J.P. Morgan interests (Rothschild).” --  Eustace Mullins, The Secrets of the Federal Reserve, p. 34. Copyright 1983

Mullins’ original book was researched at the Library of Congress and was reviewed daily and directed by George Stimpson, founder of the National Press Club in Washington.

Ezra Pound, who commissioned Mullins, paid the price for ultimately revealing for whom Bernanke works – thirteen and a half years as a political prisoner at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, DC, a Federal institution for the insane.

This, of a man who was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with 38 months' active service during WWII, educated at no less than three universities and two institutions of the arts.

This, of a man of whom Ernest Hemmingway wrote in a “A Moveable Feast”:

Ezra was kinder and more Christian about people than I was. … Ezra was the most generous writer I have ever known and the most disinterested. He helped poets, painters, sculptors and prose writers that he believed in and he would help anyone whether he believed in them or not if they were in trouble. He worried about everyone…”

Said Mullins, “Pound was unable to go to the Library himself, as he was being held without trial as a political prisoner by the United States government. After he was denied broadcasting time in the U.S., Dr. Pound broadcast from Italy in an effort to persuade people of the United States not to enter World War II. Franklin D. Roosevelt had personally ordered Pound’s indictment, spurred by the demands of his three personal assistants, Harry Dexter White, Lauchlin Currie, and Alger Hiss, all of whom were subsequently identified as being connected with Communist espionage.”

No, actually it would be an informed observation based on being raised in a deeply catlick family, having been a devout catlick the first half of my life (followed by a period of atheism as I realized the operational hypocrisy and scriptural contradictions of the "one truly misleading church"), and having read Ezekial and Daniel, in that book called "The Bible", which as a catholic, you might want to pick up and read someday. It's a false religion, and is the Mother of All Harlots as described in The Revelation According to John. That church is an amalgamation of eastern paganism and transference of roman power to a conduit conducive to allowing an otherwise dying empire to survive and prosper. I was baptized catlick and have been told that as such, I will always be catlick whether I like it or not (how arrogant is that?). Well, I invite that church to excommunicate me (no one, no man, or men can seperate a man from God, except the man in question himself) - and my declaration that the pontif is an agent of satan, and indeed a truly wicked man should be good enough for me to "get tossed out of the club". Wasn't looking to pick a fight, but when someone even mentions that apocrypha false doctrine crap, it cannot go unchallenged.

I appreciate your honesty and sympathize with your experiences.

What people say God says and what God actually says are usually far apart. That is why I asked about the knowledge and understanding. What God says is generally diametrically opposed to the techniques of manipulation I observe in church.

If you find a church that tells the whole truth w/o manipulation for their own purposes, please let me know.

BTW, the apocrypha I am referring to is all the writings, not just the limited and suppressed ones 'approved'.

The first and primary ingredient of deception is ignorance. That is not of God, the is man's.

That type of thinking is exacty how the US ended up continuing spending 86 billion USD/month plus the continued purchase of MBS's [remember toxic assets] even though the recession 'ended' in 2009. Clearly the problem is the US didnt spend enough on Wall Street, will never stop spending on Wall Street, and ensured that the next Fed head will enthusiastically continue with a bastardization of Keynesian policies because this is the path to economic growth.

Yes, sunaJ, And if there is a group that wants to silence the opposition to the families that rule America, it is the Jewish Southern Poverty Law Center, from whence this hearsay quote came. SPLC is practically the originator of the laws against so-called “hate speech,” and its primary targets are Christian groups and groups that criticize the governing of America by Jewish families

The bigger question is why this church of intolerance and its multimillionaire preacher and founder, Morris Dees, have tax exempt status for their attacks on those they designate as “Hate Groups” ranging from Focus on the Family (a “quintessential hate group”) to freedom keepers (“who despise the Fed”) to G. Edward Griffin, author of the most important book ever written dissecting the operation of the Federal Reserve, The Creature From Jekyll Island (“who wrote a scathing 1994 attack on the Fed”).

As for Dees and his Leftist, communist-based operation, Professor Thomas J. DiLorenzo gave this report in “Racial Racketeering for Fun and Profit: The Southern Poverty Law Center Scam”:

"I have great respect for the Southern Poverty Law Center." ~ Congressman Lacy Clay (D-Banksters)

"Instead of monitoring "hate" and "extremism," they [the SPLC] are concerned with tarring patriotic Americans who oppose their left-wing agenda as haters and extremists." ~ Former Congressman Tom Tancredo

"When you get right down to it, all the SPLC does is call people names. It’s specialized in a highly developed and ritualized form of defamation . ..
What they do is a kind of bullying and stalking . . . . Americans really need to ask themselves if they are willing to tolerate this kind of operation in a free society. ~ Laird Wilcox, author of The Watchdogs: A Close Look at Anti-Racist "Watchdog" Groups

When Rush Limbaugh attempted to buy into an NFL franchise, the political left spread spectacular lies about him, even falsely and absurdly claiming that he had defended slavery on his radio program.

When the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., sponsored a public debate on immigration policy, the left-wing hate group known as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) smeared and denounced AEI by claiming that it was "mainstreaming hate" by sponsoring the debate. Of course, Americans have been debating immigration policy ever since the Louisiana Purchase.

The SPLC is the leading leftist group that engages in this kind of totalitarian behavior.

When a group of military and police officers organized a group called "Oathkeepers" to simply affirm the oath they had all taken to respect and live by the U.S. Constitution, they were denounced by the SPLC as a "hate group," the exact same language the SPLC uses to describe the KKK.

When in 2009 the Department of Homeland Security issued a statement that "Ron Paul for President" bumper stickers "could identify likely threats," their asinine statement came from information supplied to them by the Southern Poverty Law Center....

Impuning the motives of one’s political opponents, rather than engaging in civilized debate, is an age-old strategy of socialists and other left-wing extremists. In his famous book, The Law, Frederic Bastiat wrote of how the socialists of his day (the 1840s) routinely responded to his criticisms of their interventionist economic schemes by accusing him of hating the poor. It is also obviously the modus operandi of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The SPLC works hand-in-hand with leftist politicians like Congressman Lacy Clay (D-Banksters), quoted at the top of this article, who are too cowardly to sponsor a new Sedition Act that would outlaw criticisms of the government altogether, as was done during the Adams administration. Instead, they support in any way they can the operations of the SPLC, which attempts to censor all serious criticism of the extreme leftist political agenda of socialist politicians like Lacy Clay by accusing any and all critics of "hate" or "extremism," the same words that are used to describe genuine hate groups like the KKK, or criminal or terrorist organizations and individuals.

The SPLC’s Extreme Left-Wing Agenda

The Spring 2010 issue of an online journal, The Social Contract, published seventeen articles about the Southern Poverty Law Center by various scholars and journalists. In an article entitled "SPLC: America’s Left-Wing Hate Machine," journalist Jerry Woodruff wrote of how the SPLC’s founder, Morris Dees, proudly received the Roger Baldwin Award from the ACLU in 1990. Baldwin was a communist who is quoted by Woodruff as having written such things as "I am for socialism" and "I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class . . . . Communism is the goal."

Baldwin was a companion of "Red Emma" Goldman, who publicly advocated murder and violence to further a communist revolution in America. She was eventually deported, and Baldwin wrote to her, "you always remain one of the chief inspirations of my life"....

I agree, that was a most excellent post. The SPLC is simply [and effectively] following Alinsky's Rules For Radicals:

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Despicable.  But it works.

Nice theory, DoChenRollingBearing, but that theory ignores the extremely problematic paradox of enforcing the "rule of law," which is that NOBODY GUARDS THE GUARDIANS! Furthermore, to peer deeper and deeper into the fractal expression of those problems: EVERYONE HAS SOME POWER TO ROB, AND SOME POWER TO KILL TO BACK UP THEIR ROBBERY. There are chronic political problems inherent in the nature of life, which force there to develop some basic sets of solutions to those chronic political problems. What ACTUALLY happened was the history of human conflicts were resolved primarily through the history of warfare, which was understood through the supreme ideology, which is militarism. The existence of states, with governments, is due to the history of warfare, selecting for those groups who operated as the best organized gangs of criminals to prevail. Governments were always necessarily organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. However, since there were always chronic political problems, due the nature of life itself, those things must have happened, and so they did.

Basic human history has been the War Kings developing the powers of sovereign states, into the best organized systems of legalized lies, operating legalized robberies, backed by legalized murders. More recently, as information became more and more important than power, the Fraud Kings (the international bankers) were able to covertly take control over governments, by systematically applying the methods of organized crime, such as bribery, intimidation, and assassination of politicians that could not be bribed or intimidated, to make most politicians become bankster puppets. Meanwhile, the vast majority of "citizens" were manipulated to become muppets, that voted for the various bankster puppets, in the political puppet shows put on by the mass media, whose control was also bought up and dominated by the banksters.

Therefore, in that overall context, the LEGAL THEORY of a democracy operating through the rule of law to use the collective powers of everyone to be able to rob, and to kill to back up that robbery, is still the BEST THEORY regarding how to resolve the chronic political problems that must be resolved somehow. However, in practice, the vast majority of so-called "citizens" have been too effectively brainwashed to not understand that they are actually members of an organized crime gang, as well as have been conditioned to not want to understand that. Metaphorically speaking, the Wolves in Sheep's clothing have taught the Sheep to bleat their morality, and the controlled opposition against those Wolves tend to promote the idea that we should solve our chronic political problems by everyone becoming better Sheep.

It is impossible for the real world to ever actualize pleasant theories that government should be limited, and with respect to "Everything else: just STFO of our business!" Those attitudes only provide personal strategies, which may well work for some individuals, in their own circumstances. However, they necessarily fail to deal with the deeper chronic political problems, and fail to deal with the ways that those real problems have been resolved in the past, through human conflicts selecting for those who are the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites to actually operate the mechanisms of government, in order to rob, and to kill to back up their power to rob.

The 10 commandments of government could be reduced to 2: Maintain the power to rob, by maintaining the power to kill. An effective democracy, operating through the rule of law, would have to respect those two commandments as necessary. Having the majority of citizens understand how and why it was necessary to operate human ecology and political economy would be based upon them understanding those two commandments, which they had the right and the duty to participate in, as citizens who were members of an organized crime gang, called their country. Doing that would require profound paradigm shifts, which moved beyond thinking using the old false fundamental dichotomies, and their related impossible ideals, towards thinking using unitary mechanisms, consistent with a radical understanding of energy laws in human, industrial and natural systems. Obviously, that is not happening, since the vast majority of citizens have been reduced to being Zombie Sheeple, and they are constantly misled by various Black Sheep, who provide some good analysis of the problems caused by the abuses of the Vicious Wolves, and the misuses of the Domesticated Dogs, that control the herds of Sheeple, BUT then follow that by promoting old-fashioned religions and ideologies, which still recommend that the "solutions" are for everyone to become better Sheep. However, the only good solutions are for everyone to become better Wolves, which is what it would take to make democratic governments operating through the rule of law actually work.

By and large, most of the people commenting on Zero Hedge are a range of shades of the different kinds of Black Sheep. That may well work for them, within their own particular circumstances. However, those kinds of Black Sheep attitudes ignore how and why the Wolves actually dominate things, and command the police and armies of Domesticated Dogs to work for them, to preserve the established systems of organized robberies, in return for a small bit of the benefits obtained from maintaining those organized systems of robberies, backed by the credible threats of murder, and some real murders to prove those threats are credible.

The only genuine solutions should be based on perceiving that governments MUST exist as the best organized crimes, operated by the best organized gangs of criminals. Democracy operating through the rule of law could provide the best theoretical ways to do that, which could enable the greater use of information, and higher consciousness. However, given that more radical truth tends to offend BOTH the Wolves and the Sheeple, the actual resolutions are practically guaranteed to become the mass murder of the Zombie Sheeple, who have been fleeced to exhaustion, and set up to slaughtered. Even more tragically, that seems guaranteed to spin out of control worse than ever before. To do anything better would require operating the death control systems better, which could then enable the debt controls to be done better. The only genuine solutions would require understanding how and WHY the combined murder/money systems operate, so that "We the People" could operate them better.

Radical M, a very nice set of observations on the nature of force and governance.  Indeed, no government will likely drop its tendencies towards ever greater controls and taxation.  Your piece on political philosophy is much appreciated, even though I would leanmore towards less central control vs. local.  But, I have seen myself grotesque abuses even at the local level too...

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" is the big question.

We don't really have "central planning."  We have oligarch planning, which is what humanity has faced for most of its existence.  The Fed is owned and operated by individuals whose names we don't even know.  The world is still full of royalty and their heirs who quietly work behind the scenes and control us.  There is still a Queen of England.  There is a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and they have the present ability to destroy the dollar if we don't invade the countries they tell us to invade.   There are princess and duchesses all over the planet.  Our system of elected government has been usurped and is now a farce.

They are the political elite. Thats a couple levels below the REAL rulers. LTER was refering to the REAL rulers, true, like the royalty elites who basically got their start in midevial Europe, own the lands and became enourmously wealthy over the centuries. Even the Rothchilds came later, lending to the Royalty and instigating their wars to profiteer from them. They are evil and parasitacal and there are a lot of people who are awake today, many more then even a few years ago. The numbers are growing of the awake. Keep talkng about this everywhere you go. Tell eveyone and challange them to understand why things seem so fucked up because soon a critical mass will develop and those who said "But I can't do anythng about it" will be the ones saying "we can end this slavery" and have true freedom and liberty as was originally intended when we liberated ourselves from English tyrany. We can and we will, because we must or we will perish. And I don't want to do that!

There is always the unknown @ "LetThemEatRand"?

The Saudi's... 'Don't' at present-- this(?) TIME in History', have the ability to destroy our Hegemony! In fact... we will run it up with QEternity(?)-- it's a race too the bottom and we have the 'Greatest-of-Mass' with 'Gravity' in the 'Fiat Universe'?!?

The Saudi's and Israel are doing their best to bring America into War with Syria [...], they have been for thirty-two months since they fomented the Sryian Arab Spring protest in the North. Turkey went along for the ride, and Jordan being Israel's lapdog was happy to oblige its masters the Saudi's!

They (mentioned above) new the Iraqi border was bursting with Sunni radicals itching for a fight from their destitute situation now in Iraq's new government, where they have been relegated to ZIPPO (absolutely no representation in the fledgling government(note: the Kurd's in the North are now being heard?)! Once America pulled out... the, 'No-Man's-Land' that was supposed to be secured was methodically turned into a al Qaeda traing camp naming itself the '(ISIS) Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham of the Levant' backed by the Saudi $$$ (BandarBush?). These al Qaeda come from Pakistan's (FATA) 'Federally Administered Tribal Areas'! Pakistan's ISI, protects this territory, and secret elements of Pakistans Army are part of the covert clandestine operations. The US is aware of the goings on, but walk gently because of Saudi's and Chinese influence in the area. Saudi's provide Pakisatn with Oil at huge discounts and the Chinese supply munnitions and other technolgies for their military. One must remember that Pakistan has ~125 Nuclear Weapons,... an arsenal that they constantly portion off in sections throughout the country, constantly repositioning! India and China don't care much for each other and the 'Line-Of-Control' is a strategic military geography for both sides borders?

The flash-point is Kashmir for Pakistan and India where nuclear war could possibly break-out with little notice because of the hatred of Indian 'Hindu's' towards Pakistani 'Muslim's' (mostly a Sunni population in Pakistan)! The Saudi's could and probably are negotiating with the Pak's for Nuclear Technology to counter Iran's new change in nuclear proliferation with the west [...], Iran willing to give up most (?) of its 'Fuel Cycle' other than for HEU (19%) for Medical (uranium isotopes ~19.75 enrichment) and Agricultural (isotope hydrology) purposes.

Israel and Saudi Arabia have been 'joined-by-the-hips' for twenty years now! Why? They both love money and power... both hating Egypt's MB and Lebanon's Hezbollah! Turkey saw the writing on the wall two-months ago with getting caught red-handed helping the Salafist (and Wahabist?) Jabhat al-Nusra! The problem being Erdogan's beloved 'Muslim Brotherhood' has been emasculated by the 'Saudi-Israel-(Pakistan?)' connection! Turkey now is siding with Iran causing big problems for itself, because of the Saudi's basically finacing their huge current accounts deficit! But, Iran can help, and as suprising as it is Turkey (Muslim Sunni) gave-up a dozen Israel spies in Iran (Shiite) pissing-off Israel to the Nth degree. Plus, adding salt to the recent wound... the US Defense Dept. leaked the recent strikes on a Russian delivery of weapons to/for? Hezbollah in Syria was of their Fighting Jets, which Isarel could'nt rebuke!!!

The Saudi's are about to start a divergence in Afghanistan/Pakistan between India/ Kashmir with China having nothing to do with it! The last thing China wants is fighting a 'Muslim's' battles(esp. Religion, any religion). They hate the Buddhist, Muslim's (Urghan's) they tolerate in Xinjiang region of NE China bordering Pakistan. It currently a 'keg-of-dynamite' in the area and the 'Saudi-Israel-Pakistan' divergence is ON!!!

"Divergence, Divergence,... DIVERGENCE!!!

My point being, 'Shit Happens' that no one can predict, and this time with America giving Iran a chance and backing out of Syria is perhaps the greatest move our country has done in one hundred years to restore our respect!

Putting aside your interesting insight into other events that are well beyond my knowledge base, couldn't the Saudis effectively end the dollar's world reserve status tomorrow by trading oil for other currencies or gold?  America made a deal with them in the 1970's to trade oil for dollars in exchange for U.S. military support.  The world has changed.  The U.S. military is way beyond anyone else's, but the Saudi's don't need an Escalade anymore.  The Chinese or Russians could keep the local wolves at bay, and the American government has scant support at home to engage in full blown Middle Eastern conflict with the Russians.   A devalued dollar could be just what the doctor ordered for a royal family that wants to squeeze the last value out of diminishing oil reserves.  Cheney and Rumsfield put a rook right in the middle of the Middle East with the Afghan and Iraq conflicts, and the American people are tired to watching young American soldier pawns take it in the bunger for the neo-con version of Risk.

Re: LetThemEatRand

Currently (has been for several years) China is buying Gold with both hands? It is my belief (jmho) that China is mimicking the USSA's game of manipulation to keep inflation at near zero. The BIS as I've said has all the transcripts and documents to quantify this allegation,... but you'll never see them except from sites such as GATA. ZH has written extensively about  'Gibson's Paradox' and the FRB/UST leasing gold. The central (BIS) bank of central bank's condones this nefarious manipulation for the sake of America's Hegemony.

Again, the author of the article... Mr. Chris Powell, has a different opinion about physical/ paper gold surpression. This practice has been going on for almost sixty (at least in my life-time) years and the only thing that will stop it is WWIII or America going belly-up if the BRICS and others decide to call in their chips. But... why? They're reaping the benefits as all the cb's in the world are in on it!!! Again JMO

Look on the bright side: A key characteristic of clinical psychopathy is the inability to form long term and meaningful relationships with others. Other key characteristics are the "stab in the back" mindset, and the "I'm better / greater / more important" than anyone else mindset.

If the alleged plan of the "elites" is to eliminate most if not all of the "worthless eaters", the "elite survivors" will have a jolly good time blaming each other for deficiencies, and playing the ultimate one-upmanship games, whilst their standard of living collapses., along with their survival prospects.

Another option is that they develop reliable self-replicating machine technology to offset the elimination of the skilled workforce (those whose skills they thought were worthless, but have now found were "essential but invisible to greater Society"): If this comes to fruition, there's the added "extra benefit" of systems autonomy, and more than one author has speculated on the effects of the development of self-awareness in some future mechanised world.

Seems all roads lead to the end of life as we know it, but maybe a few offer the development of a "species" that has a far greater potential to leave Spaceship Earth, and boldly go . . . . .

But even psychopaths can become enlightened and progress beyond it. Rare. But possible. The first step is acknowledgment.

Yes, my choice of screen name was unfortunate. Made with out too much thought and because I love alliteration. However, in the grand scheme of things it is probably inconsequential. Due to my choice of profession I am under complete scrutiny by Sauron. I have isolated numerous select agents and my name is on multiple government lists due my daily work. Ditch digger would have been a safer choice of profession. I don't think "Obamastheman" screen name would save me. Any more than a "I love cops" bumpersticker would prevent speeding tickets.

miffed        I ran across an article a few years ago, reporting an unusually large number of microbiologist deaths in a fairly short period of time. the thing they all had in common, was government/military research. several suicides, and car accidents.  one sentence that stood out in the article was, ethnic specific bio pathogen.  I'm not afraid of nukes anymore. a few years ago an eastern european country got a batch of swine flu vaccination, I think from baxter. they tested it on animals first, and all the test subjects died. it was pure live virus. thats not a mistake.

I am not surprised but I haven't heard anything specifically what you say. A few years ago we were shocked to learn they had shipped competency material to numerous labs with a live lethal influenza strain. I can remember which one. Hopefully not H5N1, I can't remember exactly. They claimed it was a mistake. This could have started a lethal pandemic if it weren't caught so soon. We get competency material all the time to assure we can identify pathogens but they always refrain for sending highly lethal organisms because they are so dangerous for us to work with. Many microbiologists were shocked this " accident" could happen with all the supposed quality controls in place. Baxter was the company involved. You do realize this company was indicted in the Nuremberg Trials?

IG Farben was indicted for war crimes by the Nuremberg Tribunal - for making the gas for the gas chambers, for hideous experiments by Mengele, for buying, experimenting on and killing people with vaccines.  IG Farben was broken up into BASF, BAYER (now Baxter International which released deadly avian flu mixed with human flu last year which would have killed millions and then was immediately selected to produce the swine flu vaccines), and HOECHST (formerly Aventis, now Sanofli Pasteur, also making the swine flu vaccines and a company that put Sarkozy into office in France.

We live in a very frightening world.

I've fought the temptation to go to the site to check out the sheer idiocy for a laugh because I have an innate fear something like this shit may happen. Perhaps some innocuous tracer attached to my cyber activity? So much has changed at my work in the last year. Voluntary "health screening " for employees have mutterings to become mandatory. I am no longer allowed to opt out from my yearly flu shot. I had to go to employee health and argue for one hour with this damn nurse how I don't want it. It was bad but I prevailed so far. I can imagine the Gestapo tactics next year. More and more this country is morphing into Nazi Germany.

"Perhaps some innocuous tracer attached to my cyber activity?"

I just ran across it. Look at this way, we'll both have the same "disease" ;-)

"Voluntary "health screening " for employees have mutterings to become mandatory."

This I can speak to with absolute certitude...it will become mandatory. They just did it where I work. If I don't, I will be taxed/fined/penalized $750.00 per quarter until I do. Now, I can afford it but its company wide. The "little people" can't and will be compelled to if they want to stay in the company insurance plan.

How do you like your fascism?

I like mine just the way its being presented, like cold steel through the rib cage, from behind. At least I know what it is and who is doing it.

$750 a quarter is some fucking inducement. Now that is shocking. I am fortunate that 86% of my work associates fell for the " inducements" for compliance. $100 taxable bonus and a Fitbit. In my lab I was the only one of 60 that declined. Unfortunately this brands me a complete rebel. The results of being awake and seeing clearly is you are exposed as the most visible threat. I know I face challenges in the future but I truly don't regret my decision. I am many things but coward is not one of them.

Nmewn, the best part is this will now be forced into the open. The happy euphemisms bantered around to obfuscate the truth will finally be revealed as the sham you and I have known for a long time. In some ways I welcome the steel but I rather face my attacker from the front. I will not go down compliantly as a beaten down dog. In every attack made on me by person and animal I am proud to say my courage has never failed me though I have been beaten severely. I think I am too old to change. ;-)

Bastiat's "The Law" is about 75 pages and can be read in a day or maybe a weekend. It's brilliant.

Bastiat says (among other things) that:

1) The Law is force.

2) The Law should be comprised of protections of:

a) Life

b) Liberty

c) Property.

3) Laws that do not explicitly protect those three things will automatically cost you one or more of those three things.

So it's easy to see, that people and corporations seek to influence the coercion power of the Law for their own monopolistic ends. And immediately this effort can be seen as at odds with the three real purposes of the Law. In other words, the Law becomes a sword instead of a shield.

Fuck the Fed(s).

Life and Liberty are simply classes of "property" afaics.

That being the case, then the only crime is theft ... and all crime is property crime.

We even say it, when we speak of "murder" ... that his life was taken.

In England, the definition of theft is the appropriation of property with the intent to permanently deprive the owner.

I was thinking of this very concept a couple days ago. A life is not taken. It cannot be possessed by another, and it can not be returned to it's owner. It can only be extinguished.

In fact, can one sell one's life? No. One can sell one's time or efforts, but life is non-transferrable in terms of ownership.

Hence, the most effective slavery is where the slaves don't recognize their constraints and think they are free to choose.

Good god, you ARE USING THE FUCKING INTERNET TO SPOUT OPINION. If you really believed in this mantra that you and/or others are a slave, the simple choice is to stop bitching on the interweb, sell your shit, buy a tent and some lifestraws and go the fuck away. To use the internet, is to accept and embrace the slavery you propose. Show us how to not be a slave. Get that tent!

buckethead,

If I take your phone, then destroy it ... I have still stolen it from you.

You have lost your property, forever ... but, I have gained nothing.

Does that work?

What is life, but the period of time within which you exercise control over your body.

If I enslave/imprison you, I deny you a portion of that life.  I can bend that to my own ends, if I compel you to work on my behalf.  Either way, that is theft, in my book. I get to steal your life, or your labour.

Gosh. Now, I'm wondering whether someone who is paralysed is still alive. I suppose that it's impossible to be alive unless some control is being exercised over the bodily processes.

This is far too complex and implies that some intelligent life form created governments and gave them the commandments. The reality is that governments are 'alive'. They are born, they consume, and they grow. Some are lucky enough to reproduce. Yet eventually all governments die because their leaders succumb to human faults.
