The central bank must have already cashed out the cronies at the official exchange rate, bag holders are left at the black market rate where those stock gains won't beat inflation.

My guess is the government types will put some constraints on the market - like no-one can sell - until they can cash out at the top - then the market can collapse. It's for the good of the common man you see.

Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. It has nothing to do with speculation, or a lack there of. It's all about the bolivar, the rapidly devaluation there of. They set the printing presses to hyperdrive mode around this time last year as Chavez was dying. Bolivar has gone from under 10 last year to 25 at the start of this year and has cratered to 45 now. If you redo the stock index chart in real terms, you're probably looking at a loss.
