NASDAQ, Pink Sheets Break; US Equity Markets Dump
With everyone's attention focused on TWTR's release and following this morning's insta-lift from Draghi's surprise, US equity markets are falling fast (led by Nasdaq weakness on moar momo failures) - reverting all the gains and some. While we fully expect more "self-help" declarations as the day wears on, IB has already released a statement that Pink Sheet stock market data will be unavailable until further notice... and that NASDAQ has disable direct routing for TWTR... what a mess...

I live in Clearwater, work in Safety Harbor. Two days ago, the local cops staged a full blown "exercise" in downtown off main street. At fucking rush hour. They had literally 50 cops with full armor and auto weapons, and a police "tank". They pretended to bust down a building and storm it. The one and only reason to do something like this at rush hour on main street in small town Florida is to send a message to the sheeple.
It's simply amazing to me. A few years ago our town was relatively quiet. Now there isn't a night that goes by where we don't hear or see what seems to be the entire police department surrounding a building like they are facing off a small army. Usually we will find out the next day that somebody was smoking a joint (I exaggerated with that last part, but not by much)
i called my local police chief in new england (not my first time) and reemed him for placing a speed trap cop after dark near a speed transition point. i rag them all the time. try it, it feels good. they work for you, don't you know.

Here the police barge in and smoke a joint with the "perpetrator," maybe even have a beer with him or her, but we're in the meth capital of Indiana. If you actually read my posts, you will understand my point of view that it is not a binary equation. Ayn Rand does not equal freedom. She is a front to fascism and is used by fascists to promote their agenda because most people don't see it. Greenspan co-wrote with Ayn Rand. He is not a lost sheep. He is a concrete example of what Ayn Rand means in practice. Focus on actions, not words. Get over her.

Atlas Shrugged labeled crony capitalists as the lowest of the low, and honest innovative capitalists as gods among men, which was a little naive because she did not seem to fully understand the extent to which the capitaists of her day were crony capitalists, but she was right that in the future, the crony capitalists and their free shit army would crowd out the honest capitalists. From what I have seen of her work so far, she also underplayed evolution and dishonest money supply, and hence never quite got the full cause and effect.

Whether you are ultra bullish or ultra bearish both positions are incorrect. Long term I am bearish due to the unsustainability of the current system.
