This is not a bubble.

Because Bernanke said he's be "vigilant" in stamping out asset bubbles, and Fisher said bubbles are easy to spot.

Hence, we can't possibly be in a bubble.

If you compare it to the Amazon model, it is "worth" way more. Amazon has lost money in 90% of reporting quarters and it's stock price continues to boom. If you stock gamblers are looking for reality, you need to find a new endeavor.

Well, you know, the Fed DID claim all these asset purchases would never cause inflation, as they were "temporary".

Balance sheet before expansion: $800bn.

Balance sheet at present: $4tn.

Expansion multiple: 5x

So to revert to mean, let's be generous and say he has to shrink the Fed's balance sheets 75%. And this without causing any issues, whatsoever.

I swear Cramer was blathering about how they don't need to make a profit because they have a global dominion strategy, just like Amazon. All you need is volume.

On a side note, let me tell you something about Amazon. I had a prime membership and it's the BIGGEST SCAM. They say the offer 2 day shipping, free, on some products. That they DON"T tell you is if you are logged into the site and signed into your account, the items have a higher price by $3-4. I discovered this when I had another browser open and noticed cheaper prices. Even when adding in the shippping charge, the item in question was a few bucks cheaper. So basically, I paid $79 for a year for the privilege of then paying MORE for a particular item - the shipping is not, in any way, free. They just adjust the price upwards for members. Such a scam. Someone should sue.

Thu, 11/07/2013 - 11:33 | 4130935 Dewey Cheatum Howe
Dewey Cheatum Howe's picture

Because the shipping cost to ship it 2 day costs $3 - $4 (minus sales tax portion) more than standard for them. You always build shipping costs into the price when you are retailer so you can play the free shipping game or membership for fast shipping.

Item is $10, $5 and $2 for fast shipping or $7 and $3 for slow shipping you still pay $10 one way or the other.

Thu, 11/07/2013 - 11:36 | 4130954 mademesmile

Then what the heck was I paying Amazon $79 a year for? BTW, the 2 day was more like 3-4 day.
