An excess of greater fools is being probed right about now.
<Is that a Twitter in your pocket are you just glad to see me?>
'As a reminder, at $44/share, Twitter's valuation rises to $31 billion!'
With $317mm in rev................suhweeeeeeet!
This is not a bubble.
Because Bernanke said he's be "vigilant" in stamping out asset bubbles, and Fisher said bubbles are easy to spot.
Hence, we can't possibly be in a bubble.
Speechless. How is something that consistently takes away money from you, worth money?
They'll "make it up in volume".
They should sell pet supplies and get a puppet dog for their mascot, then the IPO would be complete.
great effing idea SMG +1

Can anyone answer this:
How much money does Twitter actually make?

Feel free to ignore that little dash in front of the 69, it's meaningless.
If you compare it to the Amazon model, it is "worth" way more. Amazon has lost money in 90% of reporting quarters and it's stock price continues to boom. If you stock gamblers are looking for reality, you need to find a new endeavor.

Insanity on wheels!
Irrelevant, it's a teeny blogging service. To da moon.
As far as I can tell......zilch. But remember, the stock market is a discounting mechanism. So the present day price reflects a discount on all future profits into infinity.

<I can't find my calculator. What the present day fair value of zero into infinity?>
Looks like the Big Club is going to be cleaning up today. Hope George Carlin is taking a nice and long spiritual piss on 11 Walll Street right about now.
So at what time does the Twitter open up to the muppets??
I wonder if the open on the SPY @ $177.60 today marks the "top".
Sheep heading to the slaughter.
Would someone apply the valuation of TWTR to AMZN for me based on revenue please? My calculator got an overflow
revenue or profit? You can make up your losses on volume?
I swear to god I’m in the fucking matrix right now. Please someone wake me up from my hyperbolic sleep capsule
So tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999.
Nah, your better off slurping down another Thorazine.
Must not repeat FB errors.

How tweet, at least for the insiders....
Buy the dip....
as Bugs would have said..."What a Maroon!!!"
Is Karl Denninger short already? LOL
Anyone going short in these markets without appropriate stops or puts need their head examined.
If he is, he will be losing a shit ton of fiat.
I am short at 100 billion...all in
Lumbergh is all in...no more Initech for me.
Go long on Penetrode
Reversal Pattern coming
Thats $155 per active user, they can make that back in no time by just adding a $150 fee to use your twitter account.
...still $5 short
Sure humans don't mind paying for shit they used to get for free, but think of all the poor bot's that don't have that kind of money laying around.
If ever there was a sign that the Bernank needs to tighten...this is it. Of course we know he can't.
Well, you know, the Fed DID claim all these asset purchases would never cause inflation, as they were "temporary".
Balance sheet before expansion: $800bn.
Balance sheet at present: $4tn.
Expansion multiple: 5x
So to revert to mean, let's be generous and say he has to shrink the Fed's balance sheets 75%. And this without causing any issues, whatsoever.
I hope to get some at $75. I'm gonna be rich, bitch!
$60 by the end of the day!
Safe buying TWIT. Not some scam like Bitcoin, ya know? 'nough said.
$120 end of week, $1200 end of year, $12000 next year so on so forth. Quart of milk 5 years from now....$120.
Dump all these shares onto idiots at 42-46, then they run it down to 20.00, the fools who bought here, sell there, and the ones who sold here, buy there. Then we have another Facebook 43 to 15 to 52...repeat.
You do realize that for $44 you all can cure your cynical disease? 1 share of TWTR will return 3 fold, and shut you up.
Let's go team! Buy 1. Then tweet about it.
Over.

looks like I picked the wrong day to quit shooting heroin.
amazing really..how we never learn....history does repeat......we have become a nation of twits...i think that is a derogatory term in England...we just live for our little screen in our hand...we make or do nothing...sad
On the contrary - I am very optimistic about Twitter. I was told that these billions they'll raise by selling stawks will allow them to expand their offering to allow a generous EIGHT additional bytes per twat, erh, tweet.
You know what they say:
"the only thing mankind learns from history, is that mankind learns nothing from history"
I think i will buy more lead amd brass.

Limit order in for 1 share $45.50.
so the first trades will mark the top allowing all insiders who got stock at the IPO price to cash out big in minutes.
100% gains in milliseconds, just like every other IPO this year.
They media will shout the stupendous gains of Twitter stock in one day. Only the stock will probably not even rise on the day from the first actual trade.
Bernanke: "Welcome to Bernanke Railroad, please fasten your seatbelts for launch."
TWTR shareholder: "Look honey, our train just went through a cloud..."
I'm waiting for it to break 80 and I'm all in balls deep, Brwando has nothing on tweeter, it has what tards crave.
does anyone remember Nortel?
I cant believe I live in a world where APPLE is worth more than TWITTER!! Twitter has 200 MILLION semi active users logging in at least once a month!! Half of those are real people and not bots!! I see this thing headed to the $400-500 per share range.

I would give practically ANYTHING for another flash-crash today. please please please please please.....just a little 6000 point dip in the DOW.
Did anyone who had buy order on J&J @ 44 get to keep their shares from that day?
I swear Cramer was blathering about how they don't need to make a profit because they have a global dominion strategy, just like Amazon. All you need is volume.
On a side note, let me tell you something about Amazon. I had a prime membership and it's the BIGGEST SCAM. They say the offer 2 day shipping, free, on some products. That they DON"T tell you is if you are logged into the site and signed into your account, the items have a higher price by $3-4. I discovered this when I had another browser open and noticed cheaper prices. Even when adding in the shippping charge, the item in question was a few bucks cheaper. So basically, I paid $79 for a year for the privilege of then paying MORE for a particular item - the shipping is not, in any way, free. They just adjust the price upwards for members. Such a scam. Someone should sue.
Because the shipping cost to ship it 2 day costs $3 - $4 (minus sales tax portion) more than standard for them. You always build shipping costs into the price when you are retailer so you can play the free shipping game or membership for fast shipping.
Item is $10, $5 and $2 for fast shipping or $7 and $3 for slow shipping you still pay $10 one way or the other.
Then what the heck was I paying Amazon $79 a year for? BTW, the 2 day was more like 3-4 day.
Math error should be $8 and $2 for the fast shipping.

Modern finance at its best. Market Cap = absoluteValue(annual earnings) * 500. Looks good to me.
Are those US dollars or Zimbabwe dollars....or are they at par yet?
This proves that bloviation is all America produces anymore.
@nothanks
Is Carl Icahn going to send out a group distribution iMessage about this stock after it starts trading?
What's the holdup?
What if Twitter has a greater capitalization than a steel-producing conglomerate, a military aircraft and submarine manufacturer, or an oil & gas supermajor?
It allows you to send 140-character messages anywhere, and at any time, which is apparently nearly fucking unquantifiable in dollar terms.
this is what tulip mania must have felt like

Bullish moral hazard, America's largest industry.
$47
Would be interesting to see a list of other companies out there that are valued at $31+ BILLION that actually produce goods or services that have quantifiable, intrinsic value that people use on a daily basis. You know, the kind that have steel in the ground, actually employ more than 400 people and allow you to communicate in as many characters as you need in order to do business?
Amazing! Time to reintroduce a Pets.com-like offering.
Just enormous IPO Euphoria.
Keep the IPOs rolling in. There's plenty of Federal Reserve QE money.
