Yes.  Stop paying taxes and stop obeying the police state, as CH1 routinely advises his clients (readers here).   But your lawyer may point out that prison is in your future unless a lot of other people do the same thing.  Therein lies the rub.   Thoreau was willing to do time to effect change by peaceful civil disobedience.  I don't see nearly enough people willing to do this to make a difference.

So which will YOU choose?

I have already chosen long ago, and it will be to completely disobey the fascist directives of Obama(don't)Care.

For now, I have a small business to run and I'm trying to provide.  If you want to be a rebel, you'll have to do a shit ton more than not sign up for Obamacare.  Obamacare is DOA and refusing to participate in it will not bring down the oligarch controlled government.

Not so much this year.  The year before was pretty good.  Hopefully next year will be as well.   My business partner would probably agree with your idea that we should get rid of benefits but I started the P.A. and he's deferring to me (for now).

So you have chosen to kneel and obey.

And refusing to comply with Obamacare won't bring down the oligarchs in one fell swoop, but fuck, at least it would be a start.

LTER buys gold. He is on here every single night pounding the overall message that we all agree with home.  I think to say he has chosen to kneel and obey is a bit rough. If everyone did as much as he did the monetary system would be brought down tomorrow.

The reality is that I don't have the balls to stand up to the machine.  I get on ZH and vent, but then I go and pay taxes, go down to the DMV and give them my life's history to get a new DL, work within the system, etc.  If the system fails I am more prepared than most, so I guess that's something.  More likely the system will live on and they will take by force what I've collected as preparation, or simply render it valueless.  That's the brilliance of the system.  Even guys like us who see the matrix stay in because the alternative is much, much worse.  So it goes.

P.S.  I suspect 99.9% of other ZH posters are in the same boat.  But hey, maybe some asleep people will read our comments and wake up.

"The reality is that I don't have the balls to stand up to the machine."

The direct frontal assault is a poor strategy against a bulldozer, especially one the size of the Fed/Bankster juggernaut.  There must be fifty ways to leave your Leviathan:

"You just slip out the back, Jack

Make a new plan, Stan

You don't need to be coy, Roy

Just get yourself free."

What does it mean to slip out the back? It depends on your circumstances, and it's typically done incrementally, disposing of one shackle at a time.  Sure, you could just go live in a cave in a canyon outside Moab like Daniel Suelo and reject money of all kinds. But for most, it's more practical to ratchet yourself down to a simpler, richer lifestyle that avoids credit, pursues independence from the grid, and disentangles one's family from corporate tentacles.

I did not say it would be convenient. It's not. Convenience is the primary value of land whales, not free men and women.

Story of my life?

I buy Gold, Silver, and have means for defense...I do not take anybody's bullshit. I am tired of disrespect.

I disagree that it is not difficult as it is difficult. (For YOU it may not be difficult. For others it may be much more difficult. You are unaware to their circumstances or fortunes.)

We are all doing the best that we can...INCLUDING THEM.

If the public knew better than they will choose better.

Does not any man choose better over worse?

They do not know what we know. We know that which is better because of experience. But many have not shared our experience. Our experience is absolutely alien to them.

For Instance how many Inner City Kids have gone Deep Sea Fishing?

Believe it or not did you know that most Inner City kids are told about Stars but have never seen the Milky Way? They have been deprived. The closest experience to Reality is a fucking TeeVee Set Screen. They are clueless.

The members of the "Free Shit Army" have never experienced anything which we write about. Concepts as Liberty and Freedom have no applicable meaning in their Physich, Moral, Spiriitual, and Economic IMPOVERISHMENT.

Then we expect them to understand the "errancy of their ways"?  The problem is that we lack any common ground with the majority...the "Free Shit" Army.

If you want to dissuade them then you can continue to belittle them. That will most certainly give them an inspiration to know...NOT.

We repel them from spouting off their viewpoints. We do not gently expose them to the error of their thinking.

We call them insane, stupid, or use a bunch of other insults. (Tes I know that the Keynesianists are insane, stupid, etc...) They will not accept the TRUTH after being insulted. The message that they get is from us is that they are undeserving lazy good for nothing pieces of shit and to go elsewhere.

You attract more Worker Bees with Honey than you do with vinegar.

If we are really interested in exposing them to the message then perhaps our tactics need a change.

But they will not join in with any Revolt as we attack the only institution that "Cares for them" (CARE BEING AN ACTION WORD...PROVIDING FRRE SHIT.)

We cannot compete as we are not willing to CARE for them or about them. For what reason will they join us? We are attacking the only institution that provides something. They see us as a threat. BUT the PROVIDER, THE GOVERNMENT, is the threat. Good luck convincing them of that. And we repel them everytime that we insult them???

That is why there is NO POLITICAL SOLUTION.

They will be thrashing around in the Ice Water, suffering and dying in droves, when the Ship of State sinks. At least you and I will stand a SMALL chance in the Open Air Lifeboat. But Hypothermia and Exposure will kill you there also.

Its funny you should say 'personal line in the sand', akak, because mine was recently tripped. What's funnier is that I didnt know it was my line and I never would have guessed that of all things THIS would do it for me. After all the real indignities and insults that we've suffered to our independence, it was the banning of trans fats that made me remember what it means to be a free. Now don't get me wrong, I dont care about trans fats one way or the other, but what the ban does for me is reveal the nature of our oppressors.

The nature of the people oppressing us is not messianic control, its neurotic fear. Its not fear that their grand schemes or machinations will be discovered or fail. Its fear that people will find out there's nothing inside. They are petrified by freedom, because freedom means having to make choices and take action which can only make sense if you have a well developed sense of self. They are simply freightened little people ill suited for making their own decisions who desperately want someone to control them.

Miffed Microbiologist's picture

Back up a bit further. Trans fats were created and sold to a gullible populous as preferable to butter for HEALTH reasons. Natural fats were vilified by corporations and government "studies"as disease creating substances. Now people flocked to margaine as a panacea for health forgetting that for millennia people have used natural fats without heart disease. Shelf life for products containing transfats was extended ( due to the fact fungi and bacteria cannot utilize them for food... Should have been a flag) This was a win win for big food and wow, did the money roll in. Trans fats are cheap to make. Then, after years of research, it has been shown that trans fats are detrimental to health! So now theyre banning a substance a few years back that was promoted as healthful??? The lesson is to be wary of any government, corporation or new fangled health genius that claims to have the new insight to healthful eating that has not undergone the test of time. Eating trans fats doesn't strike me as a wise claim to freedom.

Miffed;-)

This is why I protested for Clinton's impeachment in 1998. I knew that if blatant in-your-face lying by the President were excused in any way, sooner or later we'd get nothing else.

Clinton wasn't the first President to lie, nor the last. Clinton lied about much bigger things like NAFTA and Oklahoma City, but he was impeached by the House for a lie about a personal matter. President Roosevelt, Wilson, Kennedy/Johnson/Nixon, and Governor Bush, to name a few, lied so Americans would fight and die in war. If you want to protest a lie protest the lies that kill people.

Jim Wilson still represents the State of South Carolina in the US House.  His outburst was spurred by President Obama's assertion that no illegal aliens would be covered under his new Affordable Care Act, to which Wilson responded "You lie!" twice.  Wilson was called a racist shortly thereafter by President Jimmy Carter.  All this happened in 2009.  Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  Over and over and over and over . . . . . .

The FISA Improvements Act of 2013 is a new bill promoted by Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, designed to bolster some of the worst NSA surveillance programs and grant new authority to the NSA to engage in surveillance.

Senator Feinstein is touting this proposal as a way to address the problems with uncontrolled NSA spying, but don’t be fooled: it’s a fake fix.

The Fake Fix is designed to:

  1. Authorize the NSA’s practice of collecting phone records of hundreds of millions of innocent Americans.
  2. Authorize the NSA to engage in bulk collection of Internet communication records—an extremely invasive program the government tried in the past, but shut down because it was useless.

This bill isn’t designed to rein in the NSA spying programs.

It won’t end bulk data collection by the NSA, and it won’t stop unconstitutional surveillance on our communications. It offers fig-leaf transparency and oversight provisions while embracing NSA surveillance.

The Fake Fix is already out of committee and the Senate could begin voting on it soon. Please act quickly to help us defeat this terrible bill. Send a letter to your members of Congress and tell them to oppose Senator Feinstein’s Fake Fix and support real reform to end mass surveillance.

Nixon was selected president for one major purpose.  They needed a frontman with impeccable "anti-communist" credentials to "open up" China and cut a deal with Mao.  They were different teams with the same owner.  The rust belt started a few years later.  That accomplished, they threw him under the bus.  But the real quarterback, that spawn of the Devil, Kissinger, continued on under Gerald Ford without a hiccup.  Forget the 5 year plans, these dickheads think in 50 year plans (and more).  Obumma is just a front man.  Not worth working up a big head of hate for him.  That is part of the plan.  He will probably come to an unfortuante end and nothing would change for the better.  They are trying to start a shooting civil war with the Liberty Movement before it reaches a 10% tipping point.  Nothing is what it seems.  Putin, China, and Obumma on the outs now?  Then why are there several hundred thousand Chinese and Russian commando style troops on American soil?  It's easier to replace the generals than the entire armed forces.  They need soldiers who have no friends or relatives here to do much of the killing.  Figure Obumma as a misdirected jab while the right roundhouse is coming around the corner.  They are devious.  They plan decades ahead and have the brightest and slimiest psychopaths working on the details and tactics.

Soemtimes I go for these things and sometimes I don't, but I have a pretty open mind.

What you are saying here is right this moment, on our soil, are russian and chinese troops, who will be used by Obama, the government (basically the MIC) to round up and.or kill americans in their home land because Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Boehner, McCain, McConnel, banks and corporations are making the final move to take the world?   You are saying they will round up and kill or otherwise eliminate any opposition to their plans to rule the world?  Or is this just an intermediate step to eliminate the opposition here?
