House Democrat On Obamacare "I Don't Know How Obama Fucked This Up So Badly"

For five years, congressional Democrats have sprung to his defense when Obama's been in trouble. Now though, amid the dismal reality of Obamacare, Politico reports a familiar refrain from Democratic sources: Obama's "if-you-like-it-you-can-keep-it" promise on insurance policies is his "Read my lips, no new taxes" moment — a reference to the broken promise that came to damage President George H.W. Bush’s credibility with his fellow Republicans. His one-time allies are no longer sure that it's wise to follow him into battle, leaving Obama and his law not only vulnerable to existing critics, but open to new attacks from his own party. Democratic sources say, Obama can expect that lawmakers will be quicker to criticize him — and distance themselves from his policies.

[Instead of his "fix" and talking points for Obamacare], the White House chief of staff might have been better off revealing a U.S. map with the president’s plan for saving congressional Democrats’ seats — or just apologizing for letting so many Democrats walk out in public and repeat wildly inaccurate White House claims about the health of the enrollment website and Americans’ ability to keep their insurance plans if they liked them.

President Barack Obama’s credibility may have taken a big hit with voters, but he’s also in serious danger of permanently losing the trust of Democrats in Congress.

“I don’t know how he f—-ed this up so badly,” said one House Democrat who has been very supportive of Obama in the past.

 

The first test of unity: how many Democrats vote for a bill Friday penned by Michigan Republican Rep. Fred Upton. The legislation would allow people to keep their canceled insurance plans through 2014.

It's not the fact that Obama blew it so bad it is just that folks want a stationary law to work with moving targets, the math models and algorithms of the insurers that change by the minute with business intelligence profit models..they worked them good and stay within the verbiage of the law..but it does change things dramatically and their handling of the cancellation of the policies was their doing as far as methodologies and the way they sent letter and and blamed Obamacare.  As Obama said this is 5% of the entire insurance market so for that percentage and yes it does affect a lot of people no doubt, they could not model any better?  They had a captive audience and milked it.

Yes Obama goofed up with silly Sebelius and I sad that in 2009 that Health IT would eat her up as we needed someone with "some" data logic in their brain so as not to get too duped.  Everyone dumps on her as she's the #1 believer that apps will fix everything:)  Now insurers have to use a bit less "segmentation" in their models and they don't like it as it cuts a little money out.

If you know anything about French political history, they're notorious for being schizophrenic, at least since the revolution and that's being polite. They have tried socialism, they've had republics, they even toyed with dictators. They are just liable to switch direction on a dime like a flock of geese. It's even evident today. They elect a Socialist with wide support who runs on a platform of raising taxes...not just on the rich but everyone. And now they're out in the streets protesting Hollande's tax policy.

Upton ought to put some extra goodies in the bill. So ALL the Dems are forced to vote against it thus solidifying what cretins the Dems are.

And so how many of these fucksticks understand how insurance works?  Yet, they are charged with setting overhauling insurance.  Do they ask the already captured state insurance folks who regulate the alraedy ultra-regulated insurance industry?  Nope.  They ask the insurance companies who say thy like their current state protected oligopoly and would like more clients (actually they give two shits about clients but love the Chinese funded subsidies).  Do they ask doctors who have suffered years of reimbursement cuts for medicare and medicaid?  Nope.  They ask major hospital conglomerates what their opinions are and make sure that there really isn't any teeth to the whole "quality of care" promises because, after all, if you can have 10 doctors read the same patients chart on any given morning, you get to bill ten different doctors' rates to the Chinese funded US healthcare system and it's good for this quarter's profits.  

This is what happens when you get self-righteous narcissicist power hungry incompetents aligned with a propoganda machine (both bullshit parties) oriented media and vested interests with the power, money (in this case, the money that the independent and partnership doctor firsm don't have), and expertise to write the fucking bills and regulations.

Jebus.  We have a government that has the authority over every fucking thing we do that is run by salesman who simply regurgitate what was written down by the folks that wrote the law which happens to be the very folks the law is supposed to govern.  Home of the brave, land of the fucking pissed.  I swear to god I'm pretty close to a Jacobin guillotine moment.

I was able to watch guys like Stewart, Colbert, Maher, etc. for a while but they walked hand-in-hand with Obie so far to the Left they will never be able to find their way back to the Center where they should be in order to take shots at both sides IMO.  The Bush-bashing was epic but the sycophantic ass-worshipping of Obie One from Kenyobi was just too much to take.  Even the soft-balled shots they take today are far from the deep skewering the assclown in the WH deserves.  Worse, these guys are the 'news' for most of the Obamanauts I know, and it's just more propaganda splashed with some humor which makes the gullible laugh while their programming continues.  The Red/Blue Team players in my family just lap this crap up and I would consider most of them very intelligent(but definitely not awake/aware). The aforementioned clowns and the Hollyweird crowd don't play in my house at all and I haven't been to a movie theater in probably 8 years.  Screw them...Oh, and Meaty, no offense, I know awakened minds can handle this stuff without being taken in, I just don't spend the time on them when there's better stuff to watch.

It was DESIGNED this way on purpose.  They purposely meant to make it this way.  It's all part of the Cloward and Piven strategy to destroy and bankrupt the system so that they can take total control over us and wipe out our Constitutional rights.

If some Dems are sacrificed during the next elections, obama doesn't care.  The Socialists finally got control of healthcare while attaching it to the IRS tax system after over 100 years of scheming because they knew once they got control it would be one of the last nails in the coffin for America.

Now it's just a matter of purposely making it soooooooooo bad that Americans will scream once again for the scumbag gangster criminals of D.C. to save us.  It's the classic "Problem, Reaction, Solution" strategy, and they've got the solution already in the can ready to rock in as soon as the time is right.

They will make it so bad until it all collapses and then they will monopolize the entire deal with a single payer, government only system and then they've got us.

Once that's in place it will also be tied into this whole surveilance grid that they've built and are rolling out against us nationwide and worldwide.

They are also doing everything they can to move towards all digital currency so that they can link everything together in a total power grab for our rights and freedom.

You won't be able to get a job unless you comply with their evil "healthcare" rules.  But see, it has nothing to do with our "health" or with "caring" about any of us.  It's all power and control.

If we don't comply they will sick the IRS on us, jack up our healthcare "taxes" (yes, remember the SCOTUS ruled that this is actually a TAX), garnish our wages, threaten us with jail time and believe me they will enforce it it.  You won't have any money to do anything.  You won't be able to rent a home, buy a home, sell your home (did you know obamacare has extra taxes in the law when you sell your home???).

This is all designed very specifically as a massive screw-job against us to steal our money to pay the offshore banking system and to redistribute what little we will have left to give to the Free Shit Army that they're going to bring into America to take all the jobs, lower wages to 3rd world country levels, and to overwhelm our systems so badly that only this evil, tyrannical government will be left as a huge trap for us to run into.

The new amnesty which will be passed within the next 3 to 5 years will bring in 40+ million people who be used to vote down our Constitutional rights, steal our guns, and further collapse the system.

Obama hasn't fucked up...believe me folks...the globalist scum who have been planning this for 100 years may be behind schedule on their 1984 style take over of America, but they are still slowly getting their way with us.  This was all designed to be this way and it's not only going to continue, but it's going to get so much worse you're not going to believe it.

America will never be the same...will not look the same ever again.  The control grid from top to bottom is going to make living in America a fucking nightmare, and by the time the younger generations of American grow up in this American prison system they really won't know anything differently. 

This may be bad for people like us because we know better and we're being screwed in the middle of the "fundamental transformation" of America.  But obama and the rest don't care about how bad it will be for us.  Once they control everything and people like us who know better are trapped and then dead and gone who will be left???

The younger generations who won't know any better, won't know anything differently.  They will be state indoctrinated in the evil "educational" system.  They will be completely brainwashed.  They won't know true history.  It will be like 1984...a total Orwellian society and the younger people won't have a fucking clue what freedom and liberty and what our Constitutional rights used to be like. 

In 30 to 50 more years there won't be hardly anything left resembling a Constitutional American Republic.  It will be wiped out...eaten alive from the inside out by this cancerous disease that's taken over.  And America really has no chance against it.  If we fight...and I think we will...they're already planning on taking us out.  A civil war is already being gameplanned against us which will only speed up the transformation (if we don't win that is). 

I think a fight is the only chance we have left.  There's no way to peacefully legislatively reverse the course we're on. 

The only way out is our only choice.  We'll have to stand and fight.  At least then the younger generations who will witness the fight and who will live through the fight will understand that America was worth fighting for.  Otherwise we'll just slip quietly into the dustbin of history as the last free society that eventually crumbled under the tyranny of the globalists, and after that happens the entire world will be plunged into another Dark Ages forever.  We'll never get freedom back again if we lose the fight for this Republic.

If people want to just continue going along like a bunch of Stockholm Syndrome victims, thinking everything that's going on are just "mistakes" that can be resolved by more government well then we will never get out of this mess.

We can beat these motherfuckers.  But it's going to take a bloody fight.  It always does and always has throughout history when people finally wake up and rise up against their oppressors.  It's been written about and we know what the template is to beat the cancer of tyranny and authoritarianism:  It our very own law...we just need to use it.

well thanks man...I really appreciate that.  I don't know how anyone can pass up reading the Declaration of Independence, but I didn't exactly plan on pasting that in until I was getting to the end of my post.  I didn't expect to say all that, but it just started coming out as I went.  The Declaration of Independence just seemed an appropriate wrap-up by the time I finished up.

The Dems were unanimous in their support for this rape of americans so they should all burn for it.  There was no compromise offrerd and not even any time for people to read and review the law before voting on it - another promise broken.  If the american people continue to vote for these demcrats they deserve all the shitstorm thats coming and I would not lift a hand to help a single one of them.  Greedy controlling brats the lot of em.

I will just note, the democrats only turn on hm after it becomes obvious that it may cost them their congressional seat. And that's about as deep as it gets here. Congress Critters only care about getting re-elected. They don't read this stuff. Nor do the care. The worst thing you can do is laugh at them. Seriously. These were the pretty kids in schools who have never failed and had everything handed to them to the point where they believe they deserve it.

They'll pull the "incompetent government" myth card here. Like its just a messed up website and once that goes smoothly, we're good. Or it's a few people that got a rude letter from their insurance company that doesn't highlight all 26 wonderful talking points about Obamacare and the glorious future of the new, better plans. Just temporary

Fact is, people look at the price of the new insurance and are shitting themselves. Fewer people wil be insured and the insurance industry is going to get pissed at their paid-for critter and regulatory troll.

They didn't turn on him in 2010 when they knew it would cost them their seats. Oh, a few worried House ones did, and they lost their seats anyway. The President and the Democrats are a united collective and it doesn't matter how they vote now. They passed ObamaCare, and voters in Nov 2014 aren't going to care whether a member votes for the Upton bill or not. All that matters in Nov 2014 is the party label.

As Rush noted, It will become much worse next year when Employer health plans must comply with Obamacare.

Either much higher costs or cancelation of Employer health plans, same as now for individuals.

Hopefully this will be realized before the 2014 elections.

Every Democrat that voted for that bill should be voted out of office.  It was blatant political malpractice.  And if you don't like Republicans or Independents, then vote against those Democrats in the primary.  The damage of Obamacare, even if it's overturned now will last for decades.

While I agree with your theory as to why the cancelations are after the elections. It is a case of too little too late. The policys that have been canceled cannot be reissued. Even those scheduled for cancelation will get there notices. Things do not work by magic edict, a huge change takes years to implement. Those changes cannot be reversed in an instant just because the poll numbers say average Americans are royally pissed about getting screwed by .gov once again.

His Imperial edict is a fail.

Exactly my sentiments.  These assholes all shoved it down our throat.  They couldn't wait to manipulate the legislative process in order to pass this mess over the holidays.  NOW, they all claim ignorance or in this case, the implementation.  Still never hear them say they fucked up, and the law is a complete disaster.  No, can't have that.  Those asshats still think this law is a utopian step forward.

You all missed another milestone! Afghanistan reclaimed their lead as the world's largest heroin supplier. Its great to have US troops dying to protect the warlords and their heroin. The "War of Drugs" gets no publiciity anymore but its another Obama winner! Yup destabilze nations, give money to mafias and waste money and lives on a world wide 70 year failure that makes Obamacare look like a smooth program launch. Then hide the fact that 150,000 troops that were there not only made no difference but reversed what the Taliban did to eliminate the crop. The hypocrisy would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.

this is such political garbage.  every one of those obama democrats is guilty and should not be allowed to distance themselves from him.   They had plenty of time to read the law and analyse it.  The fact that they let the drug and insurance lobbys write the law demonstrates bad judgment.  The fact that they didn't read it demonstrates incompetence.  The fact that they blindly followed their leader is inexcusable for any representative of the people.   They all should be shown the door come next election.
