This Explains A Lot

Tyler Durden's picture

Moments ago, the following news broke across various news feeds:

This is great news. But we wonder: considering the list of such prominent Econ department graduates as:

  • Ben Bernanke – professor of economics and public affairs, Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board
  • Paul Krugman – professor of economics, New York Times columnist,
winner of the John Bates Clark Medal, Nobel Prize in economics (2008)
  • Alan Blinder- Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, 1994–96

... couldn't this vaccine have been distributed some years earlier?

They got a special exception to use the vaccine from the FDA.

The same FDA who's in bed with Big Pharma, same as all our government regulators and their bed mates.

+1000.  I'll only add that the mis-allocation and mal-investment of capital and resources (such as precious vaccine) is something that they are good at, so maybe it fits.

In order to be completely effective they should be sure to use 1,000 ml syringes and inject deeply into the affected organ... and don't skimp out on the elemental mercury vaccine preservatives either...

"... couldn't this vaccine have been distributed some years earlier?"

It's not that kind of infection.  There is no vaccine against that kind of infection.

I'm actually an economist by training (Villanova), but I'm feeling much better now!  20-something years in the real world does wonders disabusing you of the "only aggregate numbers matter" version of economics they teach in schools AS IF IT WAS A SCIENCE, WHICH IT ISN'T ANY MORE THAN PSYCHOLOGY IS A SCIENCE.  Paul Krugman makes me nauseous.  He is SO emblematic of what they teach in schools to the idiot kids he might as well have "I AM the institution" tattooed on his forehead.

We keep listening to guys like him and we're doomed.  And if doomed, then please realize we richly deserve it.

Or possibly one of extra-terrestrial origin.

http://www.lankaweb.com/news/items/2013/04/18/red-rain-cells-from-sri-la...

High in uranium and no dna in the microbial organisms found in the rain. Something weird is going on extra-terrestrial or not.

I have a friend who swears that the fibers of Morgellon's Disease come from Martian meteorites and there is a big coverup about it.  Or perhaps the medical establishment is just covering up the fact that something weird is going on and they have no idea what it is.  The fibers also lack DNA, and apparently they can grow in the freezer.

Mon, 11/18/2013 - 21:41 | 4167829 Dewey Cheatum Howe
Dewey Cheatum Howe's picture

You also have this to go along with it.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2013/01/14/claim-meteorite-discovered-with-si...

I would call it inconclusive right now but supposedly some of the cross sections under magnification taken from the center of the meteorite show fossilized structures that closely match the red rain cells. That is significant because you can't claim it is contamination from the earth if it is deep enough inside the meteorite.

The guy who wrote the paper they are sourcing there also claimed SARS is of extra-terrestrial origin.

We all know politics and personal egos like Bernanke having to prove his thesis at all costs will introduce intellectual dishonesty to outright lies into the vetting process to get to the truth when things go against the establishment view or reputations of 'experts' in the field.

Think of it as food for thought but I really believe the Red Rain is right now the best evidence we have for extra-terrestrial life but as the saying goes extra ordinary claims require extra ordinary proof.

Mon, 11/18/2013 - 23:54 | 4168381 New World Chaos
New World Chaos's picture

Agree re: red rain.  If I had to put odds on what will be the first extraterrestrial life to be accepted by mainstream science, red rain would be high on the list.  I remember hearing that someone was able to grow it in 400 degree cedar oil.  The original source is gone down the memory hole.  Very strange.

I seriously doubt red rain would show up in the same meteorite as a diatom, unless red rain is a purely spacefaring species that infected an Earth rock blasted into space by a larger impact.

If we ever escape this prison planet, it will be fascinating to watch the discoveries come in.  I suspect microbial life will be common, and will even fill out odd niches such as comets, the atmosphere of Venus, the interior of Neptune, etc.  Titan may have something that eats acetylene and hydrogen to produce methane.  Gas giants with non-equilibrium methane chemistry have been found in other solar systems.  Mars also has an unknown source of methane.  Follow the methane in general.

UFOs and interdimensionals are another story.

The vaccine will be distributed to the banks, cut with Spring Water, marked up 10,000% and sold to the students on revolving payments.  FASFA will finance since the vaccine will be marked up at snake venom rates; the gov't will forma new Agency to guarantee the paper.  To help lower the vaccine rates, Princeton has sold the naming writes CITI.

Slightly OT but what's up with them pushing the flu vaccine so much? Went to CVS the other day and counted 18 signs to get a flu shot. They're offering a 20% discount on merchandise if you get the shot. There are ads on tv pushing it. Go to visit the doctor, he's pushing it. I refuse! Something fishing going on.

For the first time ever, I got a flu shot last November. My PCP said it was covered by Medicare and convinced me to get the shot. If Obama or the nightstalker Jarret truely are as hateful and evil of a bastards as I suspect when the public fully turns on him over Obamacare by about tax time next year and people say FU and refuse to sign up for any insurance they are going to release some super virulent strain of flu or some other virus they have in a government laboratory on to the public. I truely wouldn't put it past these people to do just such a thing at this point.

I got the flue shot this season as well as most other seasons and never had a problem. My late brother though said he would get sick from any flue shot from the past. It turned out that he had an ongoing hepatitus infection from a large outdoor cat population with frequent cat scratches. I suspect frequent flue shot reactions may indicate a need to check with your doctor about underlying chronic viral infections. Consider this on your next doctor check up.

Of course the little princes and princesses at Princeton get the special vaccine.

If it were the state university or a community college they'd give them Zinc supplements and tell them to come back in 6 months when the FDA approved something.

Who remembers Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan chase muckety-mucks getting the H1N1 vaccine before anyone else?

I don't get this. I thought this outbreak was Neisseria meningitidis subtype B. There is no vaccine for this by my understanding unless this is experimental. About 25% of meningitis in USA is caused by this strain and about 15% of people carry it in their throats normally.

A collegue of mine died from meningococcemia after handling a choc plate I had isolated it on from a patient that had it in their blood. She had been extremely ill and shouldn't have come in to work. Two weeks later she was dead with her arms and legs black with gangrene. I was distraught over her as well as worried I may die as well. The patient who had it in his blood managed to live. Appreciate every moment of life. It can really turn on a dime.

Miffed;-)

Meningitis is extraordinarily serious.  1 in 10 die, 1 in 5 are permanently disabled.  There are dozens of reports of cases of this strain in the US, and multiple cases reported at Princeton.

I do get the whole rail at the machine thing, but the snark here on this is over the top.

When the contagion begins to seem sufficiently out of control, parents will start pulling their kids out and bringing them home - possibly to a neighborhood near you.
