Government To Investigate Government Over Jobs Manipulation Report
As a result of yesterday's report that Census was caught manipulating the September 2012 jobs report, the BLS provided the following response via CNBC:
"the incident has been reported to the Commerce Dept Inspector General Office for investigation. We no further (sic) comment."
In other words, one part of the government - the Commerce Department - will investigate another part of the government - the BLS. We can only assume the NSA will certify the findings of the Commerce Department?
Rinse. Repeat.
And now on to the November nonfarm payrolls "report" which forms the basis for the Fed's "(manipulated) data dependent" $85 billion monthly liquidity injection into stock markets.

I am sick of hearing about this jobs report being faked. I admit I was slightly upset when I read about it last night. But that hard charging conservative Joe Kernan told me this am that the fact the the unemployment rate continued to fall after that report proves that that report was in fact genuine, and he is a no bullshit kind of guy. He would have called a spade a spade. Sometimes before they go to commercial they play quick sound bytes of him saying witty and slightly off color things, and that proves to me he is a no bullshit kind of guy.
Shame on you ZH for continuing to run with this.
...............and the sheep go their merry way.
How about an investigation into Diebold machines? We know the employment numbers are all frauds.
Here's another "investigation".
'Homeland Security' STILL Hasn't Fired Black Supremacist Who Called for Mass Murder of Whites...
You can't expect them to come down too hard on their own for simply being a bit too enthusiastic! I'm sure he is in line for a promotion to a position with possibly less visibility and a higher degree of effectiveness.
I'm sure they just don't want to be accused of racial profiling.
Tuesday morning humor.
"We no further comment". The Chinese have taken over!
all roads lead to the FED, so why don't they just START there?
This is just hilarious. Its a close second to the SEC/DOJ investigating JPM, GS, WFC et al

Yes. It is quite obvious from all reported data that things are getting better every day. Admittedly my personal circumstances appear to be an outlier as my economy and business prospects truly suck, but that can only be due to my own personal failures as recently discovered in a personal investigation of and by myself. All of the negative data that I associate myself with are simply contrived statistics, cherry picked from the otherwise "good" news.
Can I just die now and get it over with?
LMAO Fonz. They might as well have hired Tipper Gore to sit in on Kernan's spot. They both have great hair, why not?
Because Fonz says, it must be true.

Missed sarcasm really validates a post. I junked myself just to give the down movement some momentum.
The best satire should generate some anger, well played sir!
I sarcastically junked you.
Fonz, you are fuckin' good. Better even than MDB at his prime (early on). I almost bought it, then I went "Oh wait, it's Fonz...".
And downvoting yourself... got to love it.
Thanks for giving an old man such a laugh (two of them) so early in my morning.
Well played Fonz
Please be satire.
1. If CNBC cared about the truth on this matter Jack Welch would have been on the show today.
2. Joe Kernan may think of himself as a conservative but he pales in comparison to the many that I've known. These are people who all believe in simply telling the truth no matter the consequences.
3. Btw the propaganda machine at CNBC gets it's talking points directly from the WH and those that don't recognize this are simply unwilling to see the obvious.
You sound kinda muffled...take your head out of your ass before you watch CNBC ever again........
Government investigation of government proves there was no wrong-doing by government.
If the government likes its government, it can keep its government.
That statement pretty much covers it all, thank you!
I wish I could rob banks while my wife was in charge of the investigations...
Penn State got the entire idea of the Sandusky/Mann treatment from the .gov
WE CHECKED...

AND IT'S PRETTY CLEAR...

MONKEY NO SEE MONKEY NO DO SO MONKEY ALL CLEAR!
... AND WE MAKE UP THE RULES AS SUITS US ANYWAY - AND YOU CAN'T DO JACK-SHIT ABOUT IT ASSHOLE - SO FUCK OFF
The lying liar lied more than once?
"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Well...it is encouraging to see that the US Declaration of Independence can muster three up votes.
Give it time
Patience young Jedi.
The government will ultimately find, that the government did not artificially aid the government in getting re-elected. Also, the government will ensure further transparency in the future, employing even more mirrors to attempt to block visibility. Ehm, I mean ensure transparency.
Jesus God is that the truth, EK. +100 if I could.
Makes total sense. They'll have this misunderstanding sorted out in no time.
Obama will go down in the history books as the dirtiest most incompetent US president ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OBAMA=MADURO = horse shit
what the fuck do you expect from a gangsta street thug??
Bring Sarin gas to a knife fight?
I disagree. When his stated goals are to fundamentally transform America, he gas proven to be very successful. Let's be honest, nobody could blunder this much on accident. Nobody can tell me tha an entity with unlimited resources can bungle his signature achievement like they have his healthcare initiative. This is all part if the plan.
You might have to face the fact that yes, they are as stupid as they appear to be. In which other country would lawmakers stand up and applaud themselves for passing a bill that none of them read?
Why, any country that doesnt want or need its representation to be informed, much less have their voters informed, about what goes on behind the curtain.
"Yes" indeed they are as stupid as they appear to be...
And the most remarkable thing of all is that this Nation of voters knew how bad he was in his first term which included a deteriorating job market, moar invasions and occupations abroad and a left hand (with pinky swear) signature to "still be" after the NDAA the most transparent Presidency in the history of this Nation and what did we Do???
Demanded a second helping!
Actually, I voted for myself...
Actually, I think that's how we end up changing this from a Republic to a traditional Democracy.
I think the Framers were crossing there fingers on the pros and cons of that defect as well?...
Dirtiest, sure. Most incompetent, maybe, maybe not. You have to consider his intentions. If his intentions are for the best for all Americans then yes, he is incompetent. If his intentions are not for the best but perhaps something less of a happy ending for all Americans then no, not incompetent.
Perspective and intentions matter. If I had to pick, I'd say he is pretty competent. We'll find out exactly how compentent in 2017 when he is supposed to hand over the office to a successor. If that happens, incompentent. If it doesn't happen, totally competent. Do you get it?
Half of all government spending goes to pay interest on the debt.
Half of the other half goes to investigating why the other half of the other half was spent on things that went wrong or didn’t work.
It's only news when the government isn't lying.
This is like the when the OIA investigated tortured "confessions" of the Chicago Police Dept. in the 1980's-90's. Cops investigating cops. Shocked they never found any wrong doing //sarc.
Reminds me of this old CPD joke. "How many cops does it take to push a man down a stairwell?.. none, he fell?
Nothing to see here - move along. Hey, Jack Lew is talking, shhh, let's listen in...
And the new San Francisco joke: "How many cops does it take to not find the body in the stairwell?"
Answer: All of them.
http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Report-of-stairwell-body-witness-disputed-4955353.php
We've all seen this story before. *SPOILER ALERT*:
4 years from now... "After an exhaustive investigation, our findings indicate there was no wrong doing... bla bla bla"
Why do we even need the government?
To keep us safe from ourselves.
I asked that of a former trader one day, why we need the gub to do all these ecomonic surveys and his response: impartiality.
Why do we need to vote?
That's easy. To lend legitimacy to the government and keep you from asking the question I just did.
If you vote, you at least admit the system is viable, if not just.
So those who vote agree that you should be able to put a gun to someone's head to make them do something. They just disagree on what you should make them do.
pods
But we are too stupid to make enlightened choices for they have repeatedly told us so by insisting we have not the skills, intelligence our willingness to pursue our own well being. How can our votes have any meaning under those circumstances as anything we would willing vote for MUST be BAD or would wouldn't really need them, now would we? And given general public opinion, they cannot be concerned in anyway with what we think. I'm pretty sure every time I see them speak they are flippin me the bird.
No conflict of interest there

Good thing we have those bank "stress" tests too.
Long physical gold for savings.

And the Sig Tarp reports that actually do show the corruption are a little frustrating to read. Holder is at the ready....

The Israelis are mad.
its too late, no country on earth belives anythig the us goverment says now.
They only believed before because it was in their interest. Now they aren't so sure.
This is like the CFTC investigating Gold and Silver's manipulation. I'm sure they will come to the same conclusion, no manipulation of data discovered.
It was only that they unfortunately misspoke untruths. It wasn't a lie or politically calculated manipulation. That would infer corruption which cannot happen in the most open and transparent administration in history....and that's a fact!
Unless I a missing something in this circle jerk doesn't the head of the Commerce Department have to report directly to the White House just like the head of the BS did back in 2012? Not just the head but the head who in charge of putting together the employment numbers. I need to look it up but they had to turn the reports in to the White House for approval first before their boss at the BS could read it. It is out there in the memory hole...
You know where this investigation is going.
'We no further comment.....BTW, u got insurence, bro?'

Oh, Its ring fenced... to keep us out, and guess who will be fed to the fires of which you speak?
Make sure you also have enough people waiting at the exits to shoot the rats trying to scurry out through the underground tunnel system they use to get out of town without being seen.
who fucking cares - this shit rolls out a year later - whatever
more gubermint rot
Getting caught only has relevance if it had defeated the desired results. As we see, it was a big WIN for them. Investigations of their corruption are worn like a badge of honor. They parade before cameras to rub it in, with their little sycophant "media" tossing flower petals in their path.
Let's stir things up a little bit....let the SHTF
ROB FORD FOR PRESIDENT
Fake jobs report?!!!
So whats the big deal when the DoD can lose $8.5 trillion over 16 years?
U probably mean the DOO (dept of Offense)....lol
You said a mouthful.
For the last 21 years since we won the "Cold War" by outspending our so-called adversaries we've done the exact opposite of anything and everything that has to do with a defensive military posture, including keeping the NATO alliance intact at a greater expense both in terms of lives and money ever since.
It's why the Russians get such a chuckle out of watching Washington continue to burn through there purse strings over a military budget that is hopelessly delusional and myopic.
Imagine where this Country would be right now 16 years later with $8.5 trillion dollars in taxpayer money in programs other than defense spending?
Shoot, imagaine where this country would be 16 years later if that $8.5 trillion had never left the taxpayer's pocket?
Its like we are watching a preformance billed as a "magic" show and yet leave the theater believing we may have actually witnessed magic. So many just want to "believe".
In cases of ethical malfeasance like this, regaining the public trust is is of paramount importance- especially for The Most Transparent Administration In History. As a result, this investigation and its results will be overseen and certified by The Honorable Jon Corzine.
I'm going to need a web page devoted to ongoing investigations into the Obama administration. I'm running out of fingers and toes. Where the hell are all the activists of the 70's? My current theory is that the more people in a country the dumber it gets which logarithmically increases the chance of "captured" economy and government. Somewhere somehow that massive engorged tumor of government feeding on us is going to pop. Not going to be pretty. Was thinking of a word the other day. YUPPIE!!! Wow, haven't heard that in forever. Gone with the wind I suppose. Irony intended
whew! THAT was close! (relief)......THOUGHT THEY WERE MANIPULATING MORE THAN THE BLS NUMBERS....
WHEW.....CLOSE ONE! lol.....(100% sarcasm in case you missed it)
LOL!!! The ULTIMATE of "nothing to see here folks...move along" reports! LOL!!!
I'm sure they'll need to form a "committee" and appropriate dozens of assistants and millions of dollars to investigate themselves too. What a fucking goat rope.
LOL, another dog and pony show which goes nowhere.
Like Corzine's hearings.
All to pacify the masses. The criminals are in charge.
How is prosecution of the banksters for mortgage fraud going?
The U.S. has no right to criticize China over their economic "numbers".
Gov't to investigate......LOLLLLL
@Killer the Buzzard
That might be true...I'm sure they learned they "funny accounting" methods from Turbo Tax Tim-Tim-Timmay Geithner. But that don't make it right.
Every country and every corporation and every bank and every mother fucker in this world are lying their asses off anyway, right?
So why should any of them care when it's the citizens who always get stuck with the losses and debt in the end.
Kick the can down the road baby...blame the other guys...blame the weather...blame Comet ISON...blame George Washington.
It's always someone or something else's fault. The name of the game...
The jobs number will end up being better after the "investigation" has concluded.
What if this fraud was enough to give the electoral victory to Obama?
What difference does it make? His whole presidency is a fraud.
LOL, now thats funny.
What if he was born in Keyna.
What if he intentionally let 4 americans die in Libyia
What if he used the IRS to punish dissidents, etc, etc, etc and on and on and on.
Answer: nothing. He is King There is no more bill of rights or constitution. Its all gone.
Single scapegoat after fake investigations and TeeVee face time - so much time will have past. no one will give a shit Or maybe Obomber will say he fell and banged his head amd don Magoo galss?
As long as the foodstamps get mailed and the handouts continue nothing will change. The isheep are comfortably numb.
Bart .... " I see nothing" to the rescue.
Should work.
I investigated myself over a bunch of brandy missing from the bottle and found out the damn cat had drunk it.
Scolded cat and closed case.
Did a U.S. newspaper actually have a reporter look into and report on this?
No way.....this must be some plant from the TeaParty....

Fox meet Henhouse. I say, set up a Commission and get to the bottom of these crazy allegations
Another one of those banks investigating banks deals.
You would think that an important part of the government could communicate in standard English.
Gee, that sounds alot like the FED buying the debt of the govt. it serves?
Letting the Fox gaurd the Henhouse was exactly what I was going to say. Glad you said it.
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/yellen-defends-qe3-in-letters-to-senators-2013-11-19-1391598
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- A "strong majority" on the Federal Reserve's policy-setting committee believes that the central bank's unprecedented asset purchase programs have been effective, said Janet Yellen, President Barack Obama's nominee to be the first chairwoman of the central bank. In response to a written question from Sen. David Vitter, a Louisiana Republican, Yellen said the benefits of asset purchases continue to outweigh the costs. The letters were released on Tuesday. Yellen repeated the Fed's statement that asset purchases are "not on a preset course" and the decision on whether to reduce the pace of the purchases will remain contingent on the economic outlook and the Fed's assessment of the costs and benefits. In a separate letter to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, Yellen said that Fed policy would likely remain very easy for a long time after the unemployment rate falls below the central bank's 6.5% interest rate hike threshold.
