Obamacare Is An Epic Disaster? Just Blame The Republicans
Whoever bet money on the prop bet that Obama would finally blame the epic debacle that is Obamacare on the republicans can now retire.

Because it was obviously the Republicans who sabotaged the 3+ year rollout of Obamacare, and handpicked the "outside" contractors who made healthcare.gov such a smashing success. At least Bush walked away unscathed.
And now back to watching Obama as he channels the TOTUS.

The dude is absolutely 100% lazy. Never had to work in his whole life, never ran anything much less even had a real job. Probably true that he doesn't know about certain things because he doesn't want to know. Surrounds himself with political flunkies like himself and hopes they will take care of things. All they know is campaigning and how to frame the other side as looking bad.
Doesn't work to well when it comes to actual governing though.
My biggest fear is Obama will pivot to foreign policy to cover domestic fuckups and bumble us into a war. A BIG WAR, like millions of dead bodies big!

So since the Repugs can't articulate a single alernative strategy beyond repeal, you are content with 0zer0 destroyng the existing healthcare system and replacing it with one that it much worse because: it won't accomplish ANY of its goals... won't insure a fraction of the 30 million uninsured, will force the majority of people out of their existing plans (93 million was the estimate by the Justice Dept when they argued against one lawsuit agains Sebelius's HHS law), the majority of people won't be able to keep their own doctor, everyone will pay an average of 40% higher premiums and have higher deductibles and copays...on the order of twice as high, and finally no one will SAVE $2500 a year on average like 0zer0 promised, but instead will PAY about $200/month more in higher premiums. Finally, the 0zer0care cost is set to more than double to $2.2T. In other words, you would rather maintain the 0zer0care LIE that shafts everyone because the repubs don't have a clear alternative to the obvious catastrophe that is 0zer0care. That kind of twisted destructive logic is what I expect from an 0zer0bot, and is the #1 reason why we are in the mess we are. Thanks for playing.

The first thing is to repeal this POS.
Then we can talk about getting rid of some mandates, some regulation at the state level (not everyone needs mental health counseling or cosmetic surgery in their policy, for example) every new mandate/regulation adds to the cost.
ObamaNoCare proves that beyond any shadow of a doubt, premiums are soaring.
Another thing is lobbyists (at the state level) have fifty little fiefdoms with captive serfs, I still think allowing health insurance purchase across state lines would benefit us.
But this thing has to go first..and Cruz was right ;-)
The short term solution is to institute medical savings accounts and tax the hell out of all plans aside from catastrophic plans. Nothing will change until _consumers_ start making choices about their basic care and shopping for value.

I've decided to say, WTF, and go uninsured since my insurer dumped me b/c of Obamacare. Screw it. I'll sit on the ER steps bleeding to death. If it's a prolon ged type of problem like cancer or Alzheimer's, I'll simply sign up as an afterthought like evryone else.
This is an epic disaster as the news media has pointed out.

Well back in 2010 Mike Enzi (R-WY) introduced S.J. Res. 39 so people could keep their plans due to a rule implementation that Obama was involved in drafting along with the HHS approving.

That debacle could have been bypassed if the Democrats had voted for Mr. Enzi's resolution.
Just a reminder how dysfunctional the whole Congress is and that it wasn't the Republicans in this case that screwed the general public concerning O'great ones oft repeated lie. They actually tried to cover for him without any political gain by doing so back in 2010. No one would have been the wiser unless they got their plans cancelled first. O'great one lies again and we see how it is all about 1AD and 1aR.

The only problem with SJ Res 39 is that Obamacare HAS to force people off their insurance plans and into the insurance exchanges in mass numbers or it goes belly up. Most of the people who have signed up on the exchange so far have signed up for Medicaid--free healthcare from the government. What the exchanges need is a lot of healthy young people to sign up for high premiums and higher deductibles so that the exchange plans stay solvent. The only way to do that is to force 'em off their current plans and make them pay more.
What is happening now is NOT an accident. It's the way Obamacare was designed.
So any change in Obamacare like SJ 39 will quickly bankrupt the insurance companies, except for one thing--Obamacare has a provision in it that pays the insurance companies for their losses.
Bottom line, this is all going to come back on the taxpayers, regardless of Enzi's resolution. In the end, here's what we will have:
1. A whole bunch more people on Medicaid getting free medical care. This ends up on the taxpayre
2. A whole bunch of middle class people paying way more for insurance than on the plan that Obama had cancelled (these will be the older, sick ones) and the feds subsidizing the insurance company losses. This ends up on the taxpayer.
3. A whole bunch of youngsters and middle class who decide to go without insurance and end up in emergency rooms. This ends up on the taxpayer.
4. Medicare will basically continue intact because congress will keep putting off the Medicare cuts in Obamacare because it doesn't want to piss off old people. This ends up on the taxpayer.
In all four cases, the taxpayers will pick up the bill for Obama's hubris.
Will this man ever take responsibility for anything that goes wrong?

He is a slimy, evil bastard who hates the country so much he has been trying to destroy it since 2009.
The phony healthcare system will probably do it.
The guy lives in a fantasy land to boot: isolated, allowed to interact with only half a dozen people, brought out only for speeches read from a script he neither wrote nor understands.
