China Flash PMI Drops Most In 6 Months

Tyler Durden's picture

China's HSBC Flash PMI missed expectations rather notably (50.4 vs 50.8 exp) and dropped its most MoM since May as the hope-mongering of a China-led renaissance in global growth is dashed on the shores of liquidity reality. It was a mixed bag - providing just enough for everyone under the covers. New exports orders dropped to 3-month lows and employment flipped into the deteriorating camp but manufacturing output rose to its highest in 8 months (sure, why not - the "if we build it then we'll vendor finance it" model worked before, right?) Market reactions are generally bad-news-is-bad-news with US equity futures down and the Hang Seng extending losses.

The PBOC is offering up some liquidity today but at notably higher rates once again - so the tightening bias remains...

The futures may tell is if we need to care.  China going down hard would be bad, even for our lil ol business in Peru.

Cuzco is at 10,500 feet (approx. 3300 meters).  It gets cold (freezes) almost every night.  Up in the Andes it is always either cold or raining (or both).

This is actually what's happening.

A huge % of Chinese widgets & trinkets made by low wage or slave camp labor and that are exported to the Wal-Mart's across the globe definitively fall on the "discretionary" side of the average household's expenditure ledger.

The class formerly known as the middle one has less income left over after purchasing necessities to buy ear wax vacuums & Roombas hecho en China.

If anyone needs confirmations of this trend, Tom Stolper (Tom "Stopped Out" Stolper) and his gaggle of Goldmanites just raised their Chinese GDP forecast by a few pips.

Americans will be spending more to get the new improved Obamacare health insurance. They cannot make that in China and will have less money for things made in China...or anywhere else to be more accurate.

Chinese Citizenism Flush PMI missed the bowl rather notably, with droppings most on roadsides since May. This despite all spoiled countries attempt to delay the inevitable insanitation of it perish fate.

The JKC (Just Killed Cat) chain restaurant Chinese citizenism fastfood is offering up some liquidity today but as rhinoceros eyelid soup special luncheon. It also can not blame them, we all know this is a land of block no tomorrow - so the roadside loosening stool bias remains...

I have no animosity towards the Chinese People; I have contempt for anyone proclaiming that the Chinese Government with the PBoC in tow isn't engaged in exactly the same model/type of fractional reserve fiat chicanery that's dependent on greater incremental batches of debt issuance and assumption of such debt to "grow" their economy that the imbecilic and corrupt KronyKomrades in developed "sovereign" nations have used to sell their "sovereign" citizens out to the private banking & debt peddling cartel.

How is it bashing China when ZH unequivocally bashes everyone?
