Here Come The Even Higher Insurance Premiums

Remember when Obama apologized about lying for years that "you can keep your old plan" even though he knew you can't? It seems many more apologies are forthcoming, now that it is about to become clear that the Affordable Care Act had an epic, if very unfortunate, typo in the first word.

From CBS' White House correspondent Mark Knoller:

It's ok though. Obama is sorry.

Obama is sorry, but no one told him about that. He will get his team on it right away.

At some point you wonder if Obama is just going to break down and go all Diocletian on the insurance companies by putting price controls on insurance.

Edict of Maximum Healthcare Prices bitchez!

It was destined to fail because the entire system is designed to make the insurance companies and their elitist executives more rich at the expense of the people. If they wanted this thing to work they needed to disintermediate the insurance companies the same way that every other country did it and the US did it with Medicare. By including the insurance companies and guaranteeing their profits at the expense of the people, it is guaranteed to fail.

Or at the very least force health insurance companies to operate as non-profits, of which we have several here in MN.
