The IMF Wants You To Pay 71% Income Tax
Submitted by Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,
The IMF just dropped another bombshell.
After it recently suggested a “one-off capital levy” – a one-time tax on private wealth as an exceptional measure to restore debt sustainability across insolvent countries – it has now called for “revenue-maximizing top income tax rates”.
The IMF’s team of monkeys has been working around the clock on this one, figuring that developed nations can increase their overall tax revenue by increasing tax rates.
They’ve singled out the US, suggesting that the US government could maximize its tax revenue by increasing tax brackets to as high as 71%.
Coming from one of the grand wizards of the global financial system, this might be the clearest sign yet that the whole house of cards is dangerously close to being swept away.
Think about it– solvent governments with healthy economies don’t go looking to steal 71% of people’s wealth. They’re raising this point because these governments are desperate. And flat broke.
The ratio of public debt to GDP across advanced economies will reach a historic peak of 110% next year, compared to 75% in 2007.
That’s a staggering increase. Most of the ‘wealithest’ nations in the West now have to borrow money just to pay interest on the money they’ve already borrowed.
This is why we can only expect more financial repression from desperate governments and established institutions.
This means more onerous taxation. More regulation. More controls over credit and capital flows.
And that’s only the financial aspect; the deterioration of our freedom and liberty will continue at an accelerated pace.
Can a person still be considered “free” when 71% of what s/he earns is taken away at the point of a gun by a bankrupt, bullying government? Or are you merely a serf then, existing only to feed the system?
This is why we often stress having a global outlook and considering all options that are on the table.
Because the other side of the coin is that while some countries are tightening the screws and making life more difficult, others are taking a different approach.
Whether out of necessity or because they recognize the trend, many nations around the world are launching new programs to attract international talent and capital.
I’ve mentioned a few of these already– economic citizenship programs in places like Cyprus, Malta, and Antigua (I met a lot of these programs’ principals at a recent global citizenship conference that I spoke at in Miami).
Then there are places like Chile and Colombia which have great programs for entrepreneurs and investors. Other places like Georgia and Panama have opened their doors to nearly all foreigners for residency.
Bottom line– there are options. Some countries are really great places to hold money. Others are great to do business. Others are great places to reside.
The era we’re living in– that of global communications and modern transport– means that you can live in one place, your money can live somewhere else, and you can generate your income in a third location.
Your savings and livelihood need not be enslaved by corrupt politicians bent on stealing your wealth… all to keep their destructive party going just a little bit longer.
The world can truly be your playground. You just need to know the rules of the game.

Seems like we're living in not 2 but 3 different worlds~
I'll never be in the top tax bracket, so I don't really give a shit either way...
Do you earn any income? If so, you could be out of a job if ill-advised tax policies are instituted.
YABBA DABBA DOOOOOOOO!!!
Exactly, do these Obama voters think they are getting something for free? REALLY?!
The Soros Fund dickweeds employed like to create societal conditioning. They don't care if a 95 year old nigger from Africa dies. It’s all about social conditioning to make people feel guilty. You don't need to feel guilty, George Soros, killed Jews for profit during WWII. His name was Sandor Kiss.
Don’t fall for his open society bullshit, Sandar was able to save his life as an assassin during WWII.
The IMF, second post.

I had given up posting this info. It never went anywhere (2-3 years ago). Now you have arrived to your destination. If you think the EBT cards are bad, this is x200% worse. Didn’t provide the World Bank connection. Tap your keyboard for details.

LOTS of Orwellian language at your links.
I especially liked "Global Pertneship for Deveopment" (UN)

Definitely...:

It's always about them grabbing YOUR money.
Not controlling THEIR spending.
Eventually, the pain becomes acute
the people will stop the government.
Until then, they'll keep spending.
As moronic as the IMF is - boy do I get tired of hearing Mr. Black spout off.
Why don't all these IMFers do what guccione did in Caligula. Take all their wives and those of the politicians, put them on a boat to sell there wears. I'd go for that and give a percentage of my income for that orgy. I'd like to sink my junk in a few senates wives bottoms.. Maybe even lagarde. Heck O could play the fiddle. Strauss khan would come, no pun intended
You nasty Fuck!
Wait a sec...no really, wait just a second...I've got this catchy little phrase in mind that I'm trying to recall. What was it? Oh yeah, taxation without representation.
Legarde and Sebelious... both are twin freeze-dried clap-ridden shitsluts that were mummified way back in Butt fuck Egypt in 1200 BC. this curse/revenge thing is nasty stuff.
Legarde and Sebelious <---- the leather fetish twins.
This is sensationalist nonsense again.
Given there's no link to evidence the 71% tax rate noted I assume this is in reference to the IMF's Fiscal Monitor from October this year.
In that document the discussion is focused on governments addressing their debt problems by taxation. The taxation they discuss with reference to that headline 71% marginal tax rate is for those earners in either the top 10% or even 1% as a means for government to start to return to the level of tax revenues seen in the 1980's i.e. addressing the issue of transnational tax avoidance/evasion which of course just produces higher tax rates upon the rest of the population who don't have lawyers and accountants hiding their money for them.
The report is quite clear that the 71% rate would be the maximum extrapolation from the current conditions and is very clear also about the problems of taxation at such a high level for even a minority in the country and thus the big blue bar is shown in figure 17 on page 37 of the report.
The report looks at possibilities to solve unsustainable debt, it does not proscribe a 71% tax rate as a solution.
This site is becoming too tabloid in presentation lately.

True, it would be on the highest earners, but they would hide their money. No mention of capital gains for dear old Warren too. We need to cut like a clever....most especially in defense and foreign aid.
Absolutely 100% spot on! Good post. Well said. Thank you!
Obama and his cult are pushing for 75%.
On a related note, fuck Obama.
It's NOT a cult....but in lieu of wedding presents for your sister please send us the money.
Hey IMF, how about this? I DON'T OWE SHIT TO ANYONE!!!
Too late, you give them a % of your pay anyway. Nice deal huh? So Europe, which is corrupt crony loony bin with insolvent sh*t banks, can keep the money changing hands.
The history of the IMF is pretty dismal at best. They act as agents of the big nations like the USA and EU entity. The goal is to get nations to take out loans, once in the web of IMF loan obligations to their banker friends, then it is a sad tale of confiscation of national wealth to service dubious debt obligations. Banks stand at the heart of this scam, notice it is IMF who walks in and demands the austerity and the TAX increases, all in aid of their banker friends.
Ukraine is going to seek IMF loans to meet it's horrific budget deficit and it's already existing debt obligation. It will start at 10 billion and escalate from there. In five years time Ukrainians will awake to find forced austerity, public services slashed, wages cuts, national health care slashed, German imports flooding the consumer market while most Ukrainian manufacturing of consumer goods shuts down. The wests mega corporations will bring in the big box stores to eliminate most Ukrainian small business. This is fact. The EU already has a long list of nations under the rule of the EU and IMF. Cyprus was classic, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Latvia. and others. Like Spain. France is nearing implosion. Yet the EU feels it is doing a good job and the Brussel's supreme soviet has voted itself a raise and more benefits.
The EU might offer Ukraine a feel good "right of movement", but that will help the young and leave Ukraine devoid, like Ireland, of their youth. Hardly something good for Ukraine's nationhood.
Under the Corporate Fascist EU in Brussels with their odd Social Polices that mirror the worst of Soveit Communism.
Just for a thought. Why not, like Iceland, let Ukraine remain totally independent and simply negotiate trade from a position of their national interests. Russia does it. Russia has a 13% top income tax. Their entire national debt is less than one year of the US budget deficit, and they have huge foreign currency reserves backed by more and more gold. Why let the EU bugger you, national independence is the enemy of the EU. Brussels hates nationalism, but they love banks!
It will be 90% if you allow the old money master Rothschild et al to get away with it again.
My father, a world class engineer, never breathed a word of his loss when he lived in Britain in the 70s, subject to 90%+ tax. He was a creative, kindly and sociable man. Born in Maine; went to school in a horse in cart. Pursued his innovations, for love of all.
Do not let the bureaucrats and moneychangers cheat you, as they did him. Prepare Madame Guillotine.
The Queen is a class A bitch, and so are her hofjuden. Remember that. They would steal everything you make, given the chance.
Roll the tumbrils, the sooner the better. Real capitalists will agree and fund it.
Up arrow for hating on Queen Elizabeth. She should be selling fish and chips on the East End.
Guess the "give with your heart and generosity" pitch a few years back ain't workin out so well with all this rampant money printing. So now the IMF working as the Fed's "Torquemada" will politely and with gentle force stuff your balls into the meat grinder because they "want it now" for the shit storm they created!
Yeah this should work out real well!
The IMF are sanctioned gangsters, their mere existence is a travesty.
True.
My father is dead. He used to say: don't get angry, get even.
In memory of him and all that he gave us, I intend to do so.
Roll the tumbrils.
Absolutely. Just a matter of time. It's pure black and white. Them and us. Crony and a-hole hand in hand, while everyone else gets in the neck.
Quite. No surrender.
We shall have to be clerverer than ever this time, 'chump666'.
You do understand that the seriously wealthy will not willingly give up a single cent of "their" income! They would rather risk losing it all than willingly give up any.
There are plenty overseas ever-willing to become cheap conscripts, and should the "Rule of Law" start to crumble in the USA the very well-connected will be absolutely certain to use this fact to their advantage. They have done this every time in the past, so why should now be any different?
You're hitting the button.
The way to an American's heart has always been through the purse strings and the wallet.
If anything will become the match to the dry powder, this one will be it if they even try!
We must agree to disagree, Captain Nemo.
Perhaps you live abroad, fed on Hollywood version of the USA, or you are a newbie?
Principle, love of neighbor. That is the way to the American heart.
CS
So you're telling me the guys and gals in the United States all volunteer Armed Forces are living the Christian ethic every day practicing mass rape, theft and murder at the "end of a gun" as they keep deploying for duty with anti-psychotic medications tucked in their toilet kit telling themselves that what they are doing are 'only' for God and Country and not the "paycheck" and "honorable discharge"?
I'don't live in Hollywood and I'm no "newbie".
This Country was built directly over hell in the "deeds" department and it's high time we start reading and understanding the three "words" at the top of that document and get familiar with the Article(s) within it that we don't seem to follow with much conviction before it's too late.
Dear Captain Nemo,
I'm not 'telling' you, or ordering you anything. Choose your side of the barricade. You can live in the past with your grievances if you wish.
I have blood and treasure in this 'game'.
Choose your side of the barricade.
That was then. This is now. Evolve, that is my only advice to you and yours. Do as you must. I will.
I love my people and land beyond all reason. That is what love is, and others in foreign places feel the same for their people and land.

Bring it on scum fucks but remember there will be blood this time!
Check out Will Smith's reaction on hearing about a 75% tax rate (1:15):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs3NzBx5ei0
Will Smith, brilliant as ever. A talented and kind man of the world, willing to speak his piece with good humor.
Notice how he understands French, but won't condemn his own country while speaking abroad? There's a patriot, right there.
The shock with a humorous response: 'Well, God bless America.'
Unlike Washington DC. hypocrites and idiots who connive with the Internationale, the Rothschild-led central banksters, and endless war for the profit of the few at the expense of the many.
Does anyone else have the sick feeling that this crap is just going to continue and we are just going to let them? They are going to make Jello from our bones.
I think they mis-timed it this time. The generational theft works best when the old are dead, and the young don't remembeer.
I remember, and so do my peers. That is their problem.
The socialist state model is biting the dust and it is just a matter of time before taxes hit 100% for their social engineering experiments. The people no longer matter to governments, and free enterprise will be killed so government can remain in power for their solution is always more government and more power for bureaucrats.
Pay?
Tax??
The imf can go take a hike and kiss a lot of arse!
Agree with you. The IMF was led by DSK, the leading contender for the French socialists and Presidency before he was caught out fcking a poor maid in NYC, and now he is charged with rape, pimping and organised crime in France.
Even the French have to deal with reality, sometimes. DSK is a hideous rapist, a metaphor for French 'socialism' and the IMF; the rootless cosmopolitans who would fck anyone or anything if it made them money or status.
I like the idea of a politician tax. Politicians should pay twice whatever tax rate the rest of us have to pay for the fiscal cat vomit they spew on us.
That was a very catchy attention grabbing headline...but that's just about all it was. Another thing it was: Complete, fact distorting, alarmist, attention seeking bullshit. With ZERO verifiable fact to support the claim.
Sorry folks, I've grown a bit tired of Simon "I trot the globe and my life is better than yours" Blacks relentless stream of never ending bullshit.
Capital controls, money limits, bail-ins, higher tax...all for the socialist/communist bullshitting you, and all for the profit of the few and misery of the many...it is coming.
Ignore reality if that makes you feel better, for now. Reality won't ignore you, ever.
You are taking as fact a headline with absolutely no factual evidence to substantiate the sensationalisticly alarmist claims it's making.
A few post down, you will find that someone bothered to look up the document that Simon is making reference to and it is clear that the headline of this article is, to be kind, wildly misrepresenting the content of it's original "source material".
If you are gonna buy, hook/line and sinker every headline you read without taking it upon your self to verify what is being claimed, then you are gonna find yourself making a world of bad choices based on bad and often entirely false information.
Don't toss out this whole left/right/dems/repubs/socialist/communist nonsense to justify not doing even the most minimal amount of due diligence for yourself.
I'm frankly surprised and disappointed that ZH would post this nonsense. And I'm also really surprised at how many people here are proving that they do not read past the headline or fact check what they read.
I can only say that this is coming: bail ins, capital controls, FX limits, taxation beyond your imagination. It has happened before in other lands, and it will come to the USA.
This will happen under the Rothschild-led central bankster control; globalists.
Be that as it may, and I do not disagree that those things you mention may very well be in the card for all evidence suggests it to be so, that does not change the fact that this article by Simon Black is complete and total bullshit and deserves to be called so and disregarded with extreme prejudice.
You won't like this comment.
I care most for my people, my land, my USA. Enough is enough. Enough has been done for other lands who hate us. OK.
Let them have what they want, and let us have what we want: our ways.
It was wrong and wasteful to get involved in foreign lands who are entitled to their own ways.
Extreme prejudice? Only anti-American is the conventional racism allowed in every country today.
wait a fucking minute, 'constitutional'. is that some nationalist drivel spouting from your mouth. let me straighten you out real quick. if we didn't pursue globalization and open borders at all costs, your life would be a lot different. first, there would be very little crime to fight. second there would be very little garbage to pick up. there would be an overabundance of low mileage f-18 hornets. your taxes would be low. your neighbors would be at work every day (boring). stainless steel wouldn't rust. you wouldn't have to punch 2 for english. i'm not sure i want to live in that america
As if this is an isolated headline. They have been doing this for a couple years already. I don't need to wait around for it to happen to me when they are already starting to do it to everyone else.
I like Simon. He seems like a cool guy. And he has great ideas actually. Why all the hate?
He actually does something, much more than anything you've ever done, for his cause. What have you done? Probably nothing, just bowing your head down to your masters to keep your job, paying your taxes, thereby keeping the system working, you are enabling the mess, you are part of the problem.
fine way to assure below table payment and caviar dreams for black market agants..
we find a way around your way autoratay
Who gives a damn if they'll take it from the parasites on the Forbes 100?
Real wages for ordinary people have fallen since the USA came off the gold standard in the 70s.
You are talking politics, not good money, not the good of the majority or their enablers: the wealth creators.
You live in a system of paper shuffling, banksters and politics. Liars poker. Yet you dare to claim to hate 'Forbes 100' which is the monied version of you, snivelling fool.
Ahhh the IMF.
Biting the hand that feeds it again.
Fuck the IMF, Progressives, liberals, neo-cons, statists, big gubamnit and here to help ya', fuck it up and do more to fix it, higher taxes, more regulations, increased interventions, international adventurism, fiat money...
Fuck it. I'd love a piece of toast but am going to bed instead.
Jump You Fuckers!
Disembowel yourselves on live television as Circus for the Masses.
The absolute gall of it all, increase taxes to fix what's broken when what's broken is too much spending and high taxes
Fuck everybody who doesn't agree with the Knuk.
Ahhhhgggggarhhhhh......
What are you going to do about it? A boy dies tonight in a foreign field because you talk, don't do enough to right the wrong by the polliticians, and their lobbyists.
Do something, anything, stop the death toll..or sit in your safe place. Speak to your neighbor. Anyone real.
End the wars, End the scams. End the Fed.
I would rather grab the bare necessities, including my stack, gather up my family and load them in the car, then set my fucking house and everything left in it on fire and watch it burn to the fucking ground before I'd let these criminals get their filthy hands on any of it.
Dear IMF, Come find me and take me away, because unless you send somebody with a gun pointed at my head, you sure as hell won't ever get one penny of my wealth. Fuck off.
http://vegasxau.blogspot.com
IMF can suck it. 71% tax rates amount to slavery and violate the 16th amendment. Besides that who the hell would continue working when your' getting ripped off like that? The politicians never look at themselves as the problem. If the IMF wants a solution, I'll give them a better one. Cut government spending by 50%, restructure the debt and entitlements with massive haircuts, restore sound money and move on. There easy.
Waoooh ! Violates the 16th amendment, bro ? Do you at least know what was the top bracket when Eisenhower was in control ? Or Reagan ?
Reagan: top bracket at 70%
Eisenhower: top bracket at 91% (admittedly, over $400,000 in 1959, which is closer to over $3,000,000 now)
Now, THESE guys where liberty-threatening communists !
Taxation alone will not solve the problem the casino economy has to stop as the Bankstas control the debt and fiat disseminating pump. Its geopolitical consequences are now gone viral in banking subsidising all over the globe by the political class.
The west has to change its paradigm and there is nobody there to do it. Its one big corrupt brotherhood today.
THey celebrate Mandela but they organise to economically rape the African continent and France is right there up with them; Françafrique now back with a vengeance; both left (Hollande) and right (Sarko) on the same page.
Its time you started sweeping the floor in front of your own political doors. Pax Americana is not the only culprit.
Sure, why not let just the good guys from Seleka (armed militia) kill bad guys (unarmed civilians) just because they can ? The moral thing here was to let these people free...
Frankly speaking, your allegorical rape of Africa doesn't amount to much when compared to litteral mass murder. It is good enough for confused people who can't think straight, but I'll let you tell that on the ground to the parents of the murdered ones. I am sure they'll agree that it's much better to be free from bad, bad french because they are evil than to live in security.
ps: since AlJazzera repeatedly said that France was abusing Centrafrique's uranium, you certainly believe that. Note however that a) Areva has closed all mininng for almost 2 years now; and b) uranium was mined in Centrafrique at a price above market. I assume that the next time you will complain that your qatari masters are plundered by evil West Countries who buy their oil and gas...
Those Seleka are but the creation of those other allies for France sitting in Riyadh and DOha since 50 years...What sort of history DO YOU READ (and practice)?
Its the dissemination of the religious plague that began with Wahhabism since the 70s...all paid by you know who!
As for Françafrique, have you counted the rape of OIL resources from Gabon and Congo since the Foccart brigade took over those two countries? (I only state ONE asset class : oil). From those two countries ALONE the rip off was over forty years : 6 billion dollars of revenue/year /country that ended up in three places : oil company profits, Local handpicked oligarchy off shore bank accounts and french political account slush funds. Over forty years that represents 400 billion dollars of GROSS MARGIN oil revenues (excluding the cost and R&D) that have disappeared ! The gross margin was 8 $/bbl in 1974 equivalent to 80 $/bbl today for a Brent equivalent price of 110-120 $/bbl in market. I know how to count.
In metric terms Gabon and French Congo alone produced 10 millions tons of oil per year EACH (conservative) with a gross margin of 400 $ /ton gravy that just disappeared like holy smoke for forty years ! 'Cos there as as many potholes in Pointe Noire roads today as in 1980 and as many broken railway lines now as then. Africa is one huge mess. WHerever the french flag has flown its a disgrace!
In the eyes of history the Foccart brigade, all Giscardien, Mitterrandian and Chiracien, has left an indelible expression of "extorsion des richesses en bande organisée pour des biens mal acquis". As the Brits have done in Nigeria.
Never in history of balanced trades, that is the yardstick of free market mechanism, has so little of a country's resources served the LOCAL population and local economy as that incredible expropriation under the flag of "human rights" France. "Encephalogram PLAT !"
And as for Guinee uranium, the long term contract that Areva has signed, with ANOTHER crony government of Françafique, is an insult to "fair economic sharing" of that countrry's resources (70 million euros/yr).
The economic policy PRACTICED by France in Africa is the exact OPPOSITE of its avowed values.
And our country's historical fawning in front of the OIL oligarchies (Saddam, Emirates etc. etc. etc;) of the Gulf since 1974 oil hike, is an ample expression that French government did NOTHING to stop the dissemination of Wahhabism all over Africa since those oil monarchies had the money to disseminate that sterile culture; just like the Americans did the same cynical thing in Pak/Afghan/IRan/Iraq region for fifty years; they ACTUALLY abetted it.
And, what is facing the french in Africa is the lesson of Indochina and Algeria; more military plays and neo colonial economic sleight of hand will only create a desire for freedom movements in irrational but understandable rage; people DO NOT like to be economically exploited in name of "civilzation"...There is no civilization down the road for French presence and its MIC ; ( remember Rwanda and that cynical rivalry of Fachoda type between France and UK, using the Hutu/ Tutsi divide to claim PROXY control of Rwandan economy); and cynical multinationals who will continue to do what Mr Foccart taught them so well...
Nobody sensible and sincere can trust French, US and UK interests as saviours of "human rights" in Africa.
We have seen what a stirling job it has done in Libya and now in Syria ! The Libyan play is a page out of the Count of Monte Cristo! We should get the Princess of Janina (Q-daffy's daughter) to testify of how her father was robbed and KILLED by those whom he supported!
Usual suspects and consorts of those who loved GWB strategy in Iraq doing God's work in Libya...
Françafrique was a total financial rape of Africa and its STILL on the agenda of Tomorrow's political plays.
Go wash your mouth and learn to count. And I DONT BUY your SERENDIPITY...for the mass murdered; remember french political play in Rwanda!
Françafrique is dead. It used to be military backing of local governments vs. plenty of money for french politicians. True enough. But since La Baule summit, the official policy of France, and conducted in these terms since, is to never back a government in a civil war unless it is approved by the UN. Main exception: Libya, where I completely agree it was a mistake. What you describe are the remnants of Françafrique : dictators who still use the cash they hoard by selling their countries ressources to control their population. But on these terms, should we keep buying stuff from China ? From Russia ? From Qatar ? ...
read what I write here is all I can offer.
What Africa needs is long term partnership to Europe, its neighbour, a true Marshall Plan and a Jean Monnet/Schuman type deal of Trade cum political guidance union.
Only the EU has the size and muscle to do it. Today the EU is in tatters. Today the French economy is bankrupt.
So your question first begs the rationale to save the Euro Zone and France before THEY can even propose a solution for War torn and Abandoned Africa, now more and more UP for GRABS!
You people do not have a solution for our own problems; its cultural in France : The ENA culture will never provide a clear solution. Sorry but its too crony elitist and now blatantly gone corrupt. Forty years of downhill is ample time to judge that.
What can I say? You people missed the boat and we with it.
Africa is now everybody's last RM treasure continent for cheap resources. Yes, you are right the Chinese and Russians will not be suckered by the West any more (maybe by their own oligarchs).
Tipping Times; COnstaninople 1453 and the East is now rising. Where is Columbus and a NEW frontier?
DO you think an Enarque can find that?
Or even Commission someone to do it and save euro civilization from more anaemic slim down?
You can't operate in Africa w/o modern medicine. You can't pay for modern medicine unless you tap the youth to pay for it all. You can't grow your profits w/o emerging mkts and talent which is why the french and everyone since has not gone back to Africa. Why do you feel such a need to develope beautiful natural Africa. You are a desperate soul, that's why, and desperate people do desperate things after the failure of a program and denial of it's failure. You are an accident waiting to happen and time is not on your side.
If you espouse that line of thought then Mandela was wrong.
That continent stays in Dark Ages.
But your analogy is wrong. You can pay for modern medicine by paying a FAIR price for its RM.
Did you know that AFRICA as a continent is in CREDIT SURPLUS relative to the outside world?
It exports more value to rest than the rest sends to it; 'cos its politics are CORRUPT. Based on that reality if its politics were more patriotic, it could well pay for its medicine and develop further its huge natural resources.
If that be NOT true we should just walk away from it and never let our empty coca cola bottles drop on their heads; let alone send our troops in to protect them in their machette wars or buy their uranium and gold and copper etc. etc. Etc.
I'm not desperate to exploit them; all I say is that the DOMINANT logic is to bring Africa into the fold of our civilization; the Mandela legacy; if its true.
If its NOT then let it be; I agree.
@Did you know that AFRICA as a continent is in CREDIT SURPLUS relative to the outside world?
Dubious.
I think you are desperate, sugar was not meant for human consumption, it was meant to be turn into gasoline. As I said before time is not on your side, and you are in denial about it all.
I knew Dr. Livingston, and you my friend, are no Dr. Livingston.
Nope and I'm not Stanley either.
But your "dubious" as your affirmation of my denial is not an argument; its just opinion.
Enuff said on that!
It's also my opinion that time is not on your side, but by the time it's proved to you, it will be to late for you, Enuff said on that?
French economy is not "underperforming" because of what it does in Africa. It "underperforms" because of what french politicians and enarques (at least you are right on that point) do to it.
Also, you are right in saying we do not have a solution for your problems (wherever that is) given that we can't even fix ours. I have never and will never claim that. France sometimes get involved in Africa (Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Libya, centrafrique), but in spite of what you seem to think, it is more or less in contradictions with the "rules" of war : an involvement with no clear goal based on the moment's opinions (not necessarily the public one). For instance, both in Mali and Centrafrique there was a feeling of urgency, but in Mali it's not clear how to move out now that there is a newly elected president, and in Centrafrique, we discovered that as soon as Seleka militia are disarmed, they are killed by the christian population who wants revenge. Quite a mess in long term, but at least we bought time during which it "may" be possible to prevent a disaster. It may not be enough in the end, but the most important thing is to try...
Finally, and in spite of what you seem to think, I never went to ENA. Just ENS. In province. A lot of differences for one letter, if you ask me... And I've never met one french who thought an administration person could solve France's problems. Quite the contrary, actually, and it's not left vs right, here. It's only high-level politicians who think they can tell whatever pleases the population, and competent, high-level administration people will take care of the rest.
then you are not whom the label "desirdavenir" normally refers to !
Sorry! Wrong handle.
we don't think we are more than one...
the holy trinity I see!
As of late, I find myself more and more inclined to be a Jacobin. If I were to wake up tomorrow and read the news that all of these fucksticks had been guillotined on the National Mall, my reaction would be surprise not disappointment. Politicians, think-tanks, bureaucrats, corporate vampires all suffer from the same reality: their manufactured importance relies upon the myth that they possess some insight that escapes the rest of us. They feel their brilliance warrants them more so they make shit up just as they made up their own self image. Half the harm in the world is done by people who want to feel important. Fucking A T.S., fucking A.
I'm a peaceful person, but I have come to the view that the moneychangers and their bureaucrats would rather kill us than do an honest day's work or good thing for anyone.
The former are sick sociopaths, and the the latter are just lazy chancers. Both are narcissists, in my opinion.

Confiscate all the wealth of the billionaires. They can make it back again if they are really special people and didn't just happen to be lucky. If they were lucky then they don't deserve it anyhow. But you don't give that money to bankers. You have to distribute into a publicly owned and operated financial system.
Most of the wealth of the billionnaires is in the form of shares in various corporations. What do you suggest the government do after confiscating the wealth? Pay for treasury debt with these shares and force investors in treasury debt to become investors in the stock market? What do you expect to happen to the share prices after such confiscation?
It is not as if there are many options. The governments (that are monetary sovereigns) can inflate the currency to service the debt and pay for governance and destroy the financial wealth held by private parties in the process, raise taxes to increase revenues while maintaining the value of the currency or default on the debts immediately and slash government spending to meet the revenues. No government in a democracy will voluntarily choose the last option. The first option is detrimental to the interests of those currently holding financial instruments and they have significant influence over government policy. Increasing tax rates is quite popular since it will effect only the ultra-rich. However, there will be enough loopholes and higher tax rates will not translate into higher tax revenue. When increasing the highest tax rates to 90% or even 100% too doesn't solve the debt problems, they will resort to default or inflating the currency. But first they have to pretend that they have tried everything they can to avoid a default and hyperinflation.
How can the product of a Private Banking Family (Rothchilds) impose a Tax payable to them?
It doesn't matter if it's only for the Mega Wealthy, it's just wrong.
I think they are really P1ssed that their other scam (CO2) has fallen apart and this is a replacement scam.
Truly rich people don't pay taxes. Truly rich people own governments and have taxes paid to them.
I wonder what could possibly get through to you.
Rich people pay almost ALL of the taxes.
Are you interested in the truth AT ALL?
Depends on what your definition of rich is.
"I wonder what could possibly get through to you.
Rich people pay almost ALL of the taxes.
Are you interested in the truth AT ALL?"
Who is doing all the work that the taxes are based on? So who is really paying all the taxes?
The employer pays half the payroll tax, but it is actually still coming out of the workers compensation, even though he/she doesn't even see an accounting for it on their pay check.
If Steve Jobs personally had to build every iDevice that Apple sold, what would Jobs income have been? What would his income tax have been?
Because the paper fix doesn't work (QE) the IMF want to take some of the real money that remains. Deflation inevitable were such idiocy to occur. Really with the IMF hallucinating as well and beyond even the FED, grasping at idiotic straws, perhaps the unravelling is closer than we think. Stop QE let the stock bubble blown with illusory fed easing burst. Let the fun begin. And may the heads roll. Mr. Burns, approximately "Screw this capitalist popsicle stand!"
According to one English "red-top" ... the average tax-payer already hands over 73% of his earned income as taxation.
This is after VAT and various other taxes are considered.
There really isn't much more that "they" can take from us.
Well, there's our lives; obviously...
I mean, if you can't contribute anything more, then maybe you could be a bit less of a drain on the system. By being dead.
Seems logical, to me.
why do they even need taxes if they can print whatever amounts they want ?
They levy taxes for punishment and control, taxing Americans while paying Mexicans to breed in America has a direct demographic impact, it kills Republican WASP growth and explodes Catholic Socialist growth.
Everything our govt does is geared to promote a racial cultural ethnic agenda.
By IMF you mean SEIU and the FNM lobby
The fucking SEIU Purple Shirt A-holes pissed me off the other day, using the crosswalk of a busy street to strut back and forth with their fucking purple signs proclaiming 'Safety for the Children', but not the 6% raise they're demanding. If you want to reduce caseloads, how about reducing the stupid, fast breeding, throw-away baby population? If you knew how much LA County alone, spends on 'Foster Care' and other entitlements, it would blow your mind!
Example: During the Gov Shutdown, Jerry Brown, considered filling in the Fed Food Stamp funding gap that might have appeared and he stated that the State distributes $645 MILLION DOLLARS A FUCKING MONTH IN FOOD STAMPS!!! That doesn't even cover WIC, TANF, CALWORKS, SECTION 8 Housing and on and on an on...!
Welcome to our world in Europe: 50% marginal tax rate on medium to high income plus social security contributions plus 20% value added tax plus various tax add ons depending on the product you are buying with your income... :P
the Oligarchy consultant says to its bosses : Its now or NEVER, pay your dues or die like Pompey.
Debt JUbilee can only be paid by those WHO ROBBED THE REPUBLIC; aka the Oligarchs and the rich.
The 99% sheeple are already too shorn to pay anymore, their future in tatters.
Its simple arithmetic and inexorable logic.
Time to pay the piper or lose the EMpire and worse : civilization.
Chief Financial shaman has read this in the ashes of Cauldron bubble !
And REMEMBER, The Mongols are at the gates!
I'm just shooting from the hip here, but really, what's the single biggest difference between socialism (which by way of reasoning is in truth the child of communism) and organized religion? Honest consideration reveals that this clear scheme to 'transform' the world into the service of international communism is simply the quest to return mankind to a pagan faith. The 'gods' of paganism are to be replaced by the planets handful of ruling international elite, supported by a clergy of deranged bureaucrats and academically cloistered sociopaths trained in the service of ensuring a more broadly shared misery.
At least organized religion is for the most part voluntary. These perverts desire that we all become caged circus animals living purely to satiate their own private fantasies of absolute control (godliness).
Welcome to hell.
you've forgotten one category of psychopaths that preceded the arrival of statist commies/socialists in the historical timeline:
Divine rights kings and their feudal oligarchs.
They are the people, Neo con NWO deniers, who created this global mess. They reinstated the "royal" control of state apparatus via the transnational corporations and banks.
That the statists, having serviced their needs in the fall out of 2008 cataclysm now try and pull the carpet from under their feet, they do it in "cause and effect" logic, to save their OWN constituancy as elected; it is but the SYMPTOM of crony malaise, a political system gone to pot.
Caesars were royals, and our current oligarchy has reinstated financial royalty, the 0.01%, now interlinked by the banking network world wide.
So don't chase the symptoms of nation state decay chase the root cause: divine rights oligarchs who rule from Caymans protected by the power of their riches.
20000 people own 90% of world wealth and 99.99% own all the debt.
Can you believe some people based their lifestyle on the notion you can live off of cocaine, chocolate and b-12 once your teeth rot out, oh yea, and an egg a day. Of 2 million candidates the oldest lived to be 74 and they still considered it a success to be recommended to the younger generation of needy. They are just having a difficult time arranging prior financing at the moment.
Oh I've not 'forgotten', merely didn't mention it. The actual pathology remains in practice functionally identical and the net effect is rule of the many by the few. It's never been different for any appreciable amount of time. We can assign different labels and construct a variety of cover tales to justify the denial of individual Liberty, in truth once it's gone the cause of it's absense matters not at all.
Submission to authority occurs by force. A force arrived at voluntarily or in a marvelously diverse number of involuntary causes. I stick with my assertion that socialism/communism is merely another wolf in sheeps clothing. A vehicle by which the many can be compelled by force to submit to the desires of the few. The NWO is in truth much closer to communism as practiced than even Kings who at least general assigned their illusionary 'authority' to divine right.
The sociopaths playing God today don't even bother with that fiction. We are to bow before them simply due to the fact that they've collectively defeated us. I understand the desire to place blame with banksters and transnationals. You are correct as far as that goes but these are merely vessels used to gain our submission. The heart of it remains identical to all other forms of oppression and denial of individual liberty. Pure and simple greed facilitated by the over concentration of power into to few hands.
Why do they do it?
Because they can.
But the Feudal System Serfs only had to give up 45% of what they produced, and a few decades ago we laughed at how stupid those serfs were.
This is how you know QE will never end. There is no amount of money that is enough. The collectivists have completely destroyed the Western economy's ability to sustain them. They are making up the difference by printing. They will print even more.
they are unaware of our printing press technology?
I have a theory...it might be bonkers, but hear me out.
If we can agree that private banks create 97% of all money (credit) in the system and then expect 8-9-10% return on those money, then that is a mathematical impossibility when real growth is perhaph 0.5% at the moment (some would argue that we are at 0%).
It may sound extremely simplistic, but that's it isn't it? All banks need to keep their interest on all loans to all people/businesses/governments below current growth rate for the system to be viable?
How about the psychopathic corporations paying their share of tax instead of finding tax dodges so they pay very little??!!!?!!
Long rope!
And short time.

too right
his is precisely what we expect, confiscation of income and wealth from the middle classes, but this is going to feed to just group of people.
The vast useless armies of pasrasitical bureacrats everywhere.
They are whats crashing the system and they like ot or not are also in control.
They are the ones making the riules, remember that, billions of pages of garbage is not produced by a few stinking corrupt politicians and politicians know the armies of bureacraats at thier backs to stay in power.
Starve them.
We offshore by creating private offshore corporations for UK and US SME's so that they can offshore any and all back office non customer facing job to escape from the evil about to visited on them.

A great deal of evil in the US and global economy would be rectified if we would just tax capital gains like ordinary income.
My favorite topic, taxes. For those of us in a 2 professional family with a degree in technology and science respectively. Yes we make a lot of money compared to the burger flippers and cash register button pushers but we both get up and go to work every day. Even a 50% tax means that one of us is working full time for the Free Shit Army. At 70% it means that we would each work for 3 1/2 days each week for the gov and 1 1/2 days for our evil greedy selves. How much work does the free shit army do each week for the greater good???
Like I've posted previously, I don't mind kicking in 1 day a week of work if the free shit army is also required doine 1 day a weeks worth of work picking up trash, cleaning sidewalks, doing day care for other free shit army people going to do their fair share. If it is going to be 70% of my work week, 30 hours, then the free shit army better be putting in 30 hours each week.
That's cool. Throw in all the other taxes and fees (fees are the new taxes, see the just negotiated Ryan-Murray budget deal) Add them together and you'd reach 90% tax rate. That means you would work 10.8 months a year for the government and they'd let you keep five weeks a year for yourself and your family.
Is 99% of the value of natural resources fair? Albertans seem to think that handing that over to the Chinese is just fine. Not too many lefties here.
****** ALERT *****
Relax everyone. The IMF has retracted everything. It was just a big goof.

“The analytical description of the issue in the Fiscal Monitor should not be misconstrued as an IMF policy proposal, which does not exist.”
So sayeth the goofy retraction of a wealth tax proposal, but not of the 71% income tax rate.
calling henry george....
"Think about it– solvent governments with healthy economies don’t go looking to steal 71% of people’s wealth. They’re raising this point because these governments are desperate. And flat broke."
Is it that the governments that are flat broke, or is it that the banks are flat broke, if the financial truth is revealed?
Where does the IMF get it's money from?
Where does the IMF get it's money from?
The Federal Reserve Bank who steals it from the Sheeeeple.
//Another argument for a one-world government. Considering the U.S. invasion of "secret" bank accounts in Switzerland, NAFTA and UN-sponsored treaty obligations that (for one thing) nullify the second amendment, I guess we are well on the way there now.
Uh does anyone understand what the elephant in the room really is here? When I hear
"The IMF Wants You To Pay 71% Income Tax"It just tells me that Cyprus is about to go worldwide. Think about it... as a leader you see the world economy is about to go kaboom... that's a given... however you do NOT want the peaseants storming the castle with pitchforks and torches... knowing that people hate wealth disparity amongst themselves you set out to "make them all the same" by redistribution of wealth via income tax or whatever and do it in successive approximations so as to not upset them all at once. The end result will be that the majority will be in the same financial boat when you have to hit the reset button... if it happens to everyone you know then you're all treated alike and no hard feelings right? The playing field is being leveled and you're on it... just wait until they throw the hail Mary pass one day... it's going to get exciting then.
If you're trusting your bank, pension fund, IRA, etc., to keep your wealth safe then you obviously haven't been paying attention. That's like handing candy to a child who is starving and telling the child not to eat it and keep it safe for you... stupid sheeple, stupid, stupid sheeple.
You KNOW that 0bama will jump on that one.
this news should cause an immediate run on the banks and yet the sheeple wander on...
