Initial Claims Spike Most Since Sandy To Worst In 9 Months
While the Labor Department admits "difficulties in seasonally adjusting" the data, this is the biggest spike ex-Sandy in the all-important initial claims data since 2005. At 368k (versus 320k expectations), this is the worst miss sicne Sandy also (absent the government shutdown debacles) and the Labor department says no states were estimated. This is the worst initial claims print since March... just enough bad news to provide the Fed some leeway? Of course, with enough statistical noise to sink an economy, it would appear another government-inspired data series has become next-to-useless ammo for the baffle 'em with bullshit brigade.

I just upgraded my iPad IOS to 7.02 and since I did that my pad is going slower and in the background webpages that I visited weeks ago pop open, apps open up in the background
my iCloud suddenly has all the pictures I once put on my iPad but deleted months ago and now they're back...

Mine continually locks up and links dont work if i can even scroll thru sites. I have to shutdown and restart my ipad almost everyother day now, which i never had to do before "upgrade". If i can scroll thru websites if i touch, without clicking, an ad it opens in a new window. Sometimes ad pages just open outta nowhere. The new ios blows goat. Will never buy another apple product again.

Simple fix. Do a restore to earlier point and do not upgrade for 90 days until a fix comes in. ANd that will cost you $65.

You're not a savvy computerist if you don't buy a Lexar 32GB USB memory stick and back up all your important data. It comes with software that allows you to back up any file or folder (as many as you choose provided you don't exceed 30 GB. Once your data is picked, any time you use the stick it will back up all changed files and folders you originally selected. Now-a-days it goes for about $30. Windows 7 acknowledges it. No extra drivers needed. Google it.

The restaurant owner went to Llakatura, a friend he knew was a cop, and asked what he should do. Llakatura advised the restaurant owner from reporting the extortion telling him he had no choice but to make the payments, authorities said.
The victim shelled out a total of $24,000 over five months for the phony protection.
In a phone call intercepted by the feds, Llakatura jokingly referred to how he "taxes" local businesses, according to court papers filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.
