If Japan adopted BitCoin as their currency the sun would rise. I wonder if they know this.
Even more so for Japan, if users in other countries adopted BitCoin as well. I've always had suspicions about this.

If I were Japanese, I would start buying beaten down property in Ireland ,or Portugal . Get the hell out of Japan and away from toxic environment and toxic political relations with China. But the Japanese moral is so low from WW2 defeat,1980"s economic collapse demographic chalanges, and now Fukishima that they seem paralysed and defeated. Abe is not able to lift the Nation out of this .

This is mainly because the CHF is pegged to the EUR.
As noted elsewhere on the Hedge today, Ms. Watanabe is exchanging Yen for Euro, the Russians, Arabs, and Chinese are buying French and Italian debt; and the Germans are keeping the Euro the least dirty shirt in the Laundry.
However, the huge shooting star prior to the swiss intervention in August 2011 leads me to believe this milestone would have otherwise been met a lot sooner.

I'd suggest being very, very careful here as......
When hot money out of Japan is repatriated ( when risk comes off ) you'll see that Yen blow the doors off.
These charts are "big ol spikes" as with EUR and GBP vs JPY - and will very quickly rip balls.
Longer term sure....Japan will be the short of a lifetime - short / mid - get ready to see these things correct hard.
