Europe Officially Loses Fight For Ukraine, Russia Wins
Over the past month, an interesting conflict emerged between Putin's Russia and, well, some unelected person's Europe. The conflict was over who would be the Ukraine's big brother, and strategic ally for the future, and whether the Ukraine would snub Europe, i.e. the West, and reorient to its Soviet Union roots, by aligning with Russia. Moments ago, the fight over Ukraine ended. Russia won, and not only pledged $15 billion in future Ukraine investments, but de facto became the lender of last resort for the troubled nation.

Notably, this is the second major geopolitical gambit that Europe has lost this year: first the Syrian escapade, where it tried aggressively to replace Gazprom with Qatar (and failed), and now it has lost Europe's "bread basket."
Ukraine bonds welcomed the clarity, and that the nation is now officially once again under Russia's sphere of influence:
And now, with Ukraine firmly in the pocket of Russia, it remains to be seen how the local opposition and the pro-European protesters will react. They will hardly be enthused.

You don't piss in Russia's back garden. When will these guys ever learn. Georgia, Syria and now Ukraine.
Only on ZeroHedge is Putin some kind of hero and it is beneficial that the Ukrainians remain under the Russian boot. Boggles my mind especially if you look at the historical actions/records of the Russian leaders in Ukraine the last 200 years.
EU is a failed political and increasingly economic concept but the only thing Putin will do is install his $hitbags there and keep the status quo, make sure his economic cronies are rewarded, look to ensure Russian military access rights are ensured & expanded, and milk that state with ridiculous and inflated rates/fees to Gazprom which is ipso de facto, Russian state.
Or the Ukriane could end up like Greece and the USSA under the boot of the NWO.
One master or another. Maybe Putin genuinely does investment in the Ukraine but the $15B likely will be repaid back on terms very favorable to Russia. I also look for Gazprom to charge them all kinds of ridiculous fees/charges too since Russia is increasingly dependent upon Gazprom and its revenues to fund the Russian budget.
As for Russian-Ukrainian history, all you have to do is ask yourself why it was so easy for the Nazis to raise entire regiments of Ukrainians so quickly during WW2 for service. Russia engaged in a concentrated and systematic program of genoicide and cultural destruction of the Ukraine after the Ukraine lost to the Soviets in the 1920s.
I feel for the Ukrainians. They like most Eastern Europeans have been caught for the last 3 centuries between Russia and Central European powers who have little good intention or well-being for their occupied neighbors.
In your little history lesson you purposely conflate foreign Jewish Bolshevik and Soviet userpers with actual Russian governance. Is that by ignorance or by design? Look into the religious/ethnic background of primary Holomodor perpetrator Lazar Kaganovich and get back to us. Here's a piece from Israeli Ynet that you may find useful in gaining a clue:
Stalin's JewsWe mustn't forget that some of greatest murderers of modern times were Jewish
To MeBizarro
I know right ? Fucking American fruitloops... They have NO IDEA what Russia is and what it's really like to live under their rule. Take any American or Western European and put them in Russia. These softies would die in year...
Everytime the EU fails at something -- it makes me just a little bit happier.
Good!
Now that they've lost the fight with the Russians, they can send the "provocateurs" in the Ukraine from USAID over to Tel Aviv to protest the full scale genocide taking place in Gaza.
If we think our life is shit in this Country with what the CBs have done to our economy, just take a look at what Israel and the U.S. has in store for Palestine in the coming New Year!
Merry Xmas

No sympathy for Palestinian Terrorist.
This is surely only phase one of a longer term EU gameplan...
There are plenty of old commies and fascists embedded in the EU corridors of power who want Russia itself to join the EU. This event today with Ukraine will speed up that process.
Anglo-Saxon culture will then be under severe threat.
fixed it for you. Euroland is happy that Putin is stabilizing this area. So Euroland can concentrate on other things and is not busy with problematic Ukraine. Such an undertaking would be completely ill-timed for Euroland. But that was Natos plan which went now phff...
The loosers are US/UK. Both wanted to extract the shale gas from Ukraine which is there in enormous amounts. And both wanted to get Russia in trouble with the Crimea Peninsula, the base of Russias Black Sea fleet.
So Don Putin had no choice. He made an offer to Ukrain which they could not reject. And by the way the EU did offer nothing at all. So Putins offer is clearly beating everything on the table. Plus Ukrain is now in good relations with Russia as well as with China which also promised to invest in Ukrain. The West could not make a comparable offer since Germany stayed away completely for good reasons. Natos offer was only trouble, chaos and most probably civil war on the long run.
So congratulations Ukrain, in my humble opinion you made the best out of a bad situation and the future is promising better times.
Everything you said spot on and appreciated.
I've noticed that when the news is not in Cheesepope's favor he doesn't post!
Or maybe it was the picture that 'Hedgless_Horseman' provided of Rasputin's best friend scared em off?
Let's face it. "B.B. in a jar" will be a 1/3 filled 4" test tube!
STEINMEIER: EU MAY HAVE UNDERESTIMATED RUSSIA DETERMINATION
No shit Sherlock. That is what you get when you meddle in Russia's backyard. Especially if half of that backyard is occupied by people of Russian desent and when that backyard is really geopolitically positioned.
For those who think the Ukrainians have a good opinion and warm feelings towards Russians, just ask a 100% Ukrainian person what they think of Russians/Russia and if you want to engage in a fist-knife fight insist that the Ukraine is much better off in a partnership with Russia or under a political union with Russia.
If that's true, then why do pro-Russia candidates generally win in their national elections? Could it be that they chose The East after seeing which side John McCain is on?
Russian minority is about 15-20% of the Ukrainian populace and overwhelming in the Eastern part of the country. You really believe the elections are open and transparent?
Same goes for any ex soviet occupied state. Russians are considered enemy no. 1. Give me the SS any day over those monsters...
Westerners some how think this is good for Ukraine or the West ? What a fucking joke..
"Sorry, EU. Nothing personal. It's just business."
Well-played by the Ukrainian leaders, who used the 'crisis' as leverage for a better deal. Congrats!
Rabble-rousers may now go home, before they get the American status of "Wall St Protesters" and get dispersed accordingly: With fire hoses, to clean the streets for Citizens.
Checkmate.
Putin is a grandmaster.
the hardcore of the pro-EU protestors describe themselves as "nationalists". Which is ironic because the price you pay for joining the EU & Euro is a huge loss of national power, be it in the economic, monetary & judicial spheres. Ireland for example had to give up fishing rights which alone were worth more than the structural funds and other "grants" given by Brussels to develop the country's infrastructure. It's a giant fucking con designed to hand over national resources & industries to Brussels' banker/corporate mates. Ukraine may not have (much) oil but it has plenty of coal and iron, a big steel industry and 30% of the world's best soils. I'm sure the EU parasites would love to get their grubby hands on Ukraine. The economic deal with Russia is far more beneficial for the country.
WOW how naive are you ? You can not do business with Russians. Every ex-soviet state knows this. Ukraine just lost her freedom. Might as well call it Russia now.
John McCain turning up in the country was the final nail in the coffin lol.
But seriously it's become clear Putin is no walk over.
Vietcong collaborator McCain sang like a canary, betraying his colleagues, according to his captors. That makes him ideally suited to continue to betray the best interests of any people in any land, all for his paymasters...the Internationale of international financiers. War is a racket.
Anything that is bad news(frankly that's all that seems to happen these days) for Van Rumpy, Hollande and those neo-Marxists in the EU and for Obama/NWO/Trilaterals should be rejoiced.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for Vladimir Putin. He makes these people look foolish on a regular basis and they prove absolutely hapless in each subsequent battle showing that they learned nothing from previous diplomatic smackdowns.
Anyone who our media lauds is almost always bad, anyone they attack is almost always good. Therefore, it's pretty fair to assume Vlad is as good as it will get in contemporary politics.
Re 'Anyone who our media lauds is almost always bad, anyone they attack is almost always good'. Aint that the fukin truth, you know that means Barry is one evil fuka.
The USA is shameless sending it bought politicians over there.
This is excellent news. Culture matters. Time to celebrate, and I suggest 'Scheherazade' by great Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov who looked East, and admired what he saw.
