I know of a LOT of people who watch Fox. They seem to hang on damn near everything anyone says on that channel looking for things to be outraged about. Fox isn't a news outfit, it's the WWE of news. They sell outrage and emotion. And I have to say, they do a pretty good job. I thought they were a fairly decent outfit until the initial shock wore off of 9/11 and the anti-war people started to get their act together. Honestly I think Tapper is exactly right. Easily 90% of the poulation here in the US (and Europe, don't act like your governments haven't been spying you for decades... stop) will gladly give up their freedom for security. I don't see how this is even a debate at this point. Whether it's thru social media (voluntary), targeted marketing, the Patriot Act or the Prism program..... people don't give a shit (that is until the opposite party gets back in power of course).
