1. America once was about moral greatness. Read some quotes of the founding fathers. One can disagree with many of their views on a variety of topics, but one area they did agree upon was the need for moral uprightness as a foundation of national greatness. Just a couple of examples to back up my assertion...
John Adams, (in his diary entry of June 2, 1778) ~ The foundation of national morality must be laid in private families.... How is it possible that Children can have any just Sense of the sacred Obligations of Morality or Religion if, from their earliest Infancy, they learn their Mothers live in habitual Infidelity to their fathers, and their fathers in as constant Infidelity to their Mothers?
Or how about this comment from John Adams in a speech in 1798? "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our consitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
Or Benjamin Franklin, who stated that, "only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have need of more masters".
You can disagree with their sentiments, but facts are facts and you should equip yourself with them before making yourself look stupid on a world-wide public stage.
