Perhaps that could be the motto for the NY branch:

Police: NY's finest (/eye roll)

Firemen: NY's bravest

JFK/LGA TSA: NY's retardedest

Firemen in NYC i would say are the bravest in the country...

As for TSA:  Salvation Army bell ringers = 9.2 X smarter, Wendy's 5.4 X smarter, McDonald's 1.9 X smarter.

Be Brave!!!

Bolivia is where it's at for internal flights, absolutely no BS....And no BS security of any sort. I walked up the steps of the plane drinking a litre bottle of water that I had bought outside the airport and the captain waiting to greet the passengers was all waves and smiles to me and a "buenos días, ye, man, you got the right idea, its hot out there, you need that water".

No 'Homeland Security' (haha) needed in Sth Am

I don't like my police state and I sure as hell don't want to keep it.  It's getting really old, and I wish I was back in the time of Geore Washington so I could accomplish something of real value.

Question:  So I could bring my midget tranny giraffe with a dildo in it, right?
Answer:  Apparently.

We just went through security at a major airport and sure enough, there was an area which we were walking through when all of a sudden, somebody over the loudspeaker system shouted "Stop!"
Just like AJ said was happening.
No, I/we didn't because we didn't see anybody telling us to do so or identifying themselves as law enforcement officers, etc.
Plus, Mrs K always tells me I make shit up so I've no idea if it was for real for real, or for real my imagination, or not even for real.

Have tptb no better things to do than waste my tax money on this kinda shit?
Hell, the last big bit of violence at an airport was LAX where the gunman was a TSA dude coming to gun down other TSA dudes, no?
Says something about the happy workers paradises of the sacred halls of governmental service... post office, airports... not to mention midget tranny porn at the SEC and others.

Manage that gubamint, fellas!

Only in the The Land Of The Free would successful inside job, false flag attacks be able to be used to justify destroying freedom. The more convinced one becomes that all of the most significant "terrorist" attacks were inside job, false flag attacks, then the more that the TSA policies make perverse sense, since everything else is also manifesting in a Birarro Mirror World.

"National security" has become a rocket ride of psychotic insanities since it blasted off after World War II. We are now way, way out on a parabolic orbit, with no reasonable assurance that what went up is ever going to come down again. For thousands of years, success in warfare was always based on deceits, while spies were the most important soldiers. In the 21st Century those trends have been amplified to such astronomical sizes that they no longer fit inside of any previously conceived of concepts.

There is barely any nightmare science fiction that comes close to how crazy this is becoming, where the people who claim to be protecting us from "terrorists" are by far the worst "terrorists." The deceitful ways that "national security" are entangling people in tighter and tighter wrappings of lies about the "war on terror," as promoted by those who are actually the worst of all terrorists, has nothing in history to compare its craziness to, since no previously known human civilization could pump up its deceits, and threats of destruction, with electronics and atomic power ...

However, it seems quite probable that there will be even worse inside job, false flag terrorist attacks in the future, which will drive even more psychotic policies to be applied by the TSA ... until there finally will practically be a prohibition on any transportation that is not previously approved, by the biggest terrorists, that have been able to take over such complete control of civilization, by their having been able to get away with all of their previous inside job, false flag terrorist attacks in the past.

That "Land of the Free" lark is getting a bit thin and a bit of a joke.

Shouldn't it be changed to "Land of the Most Incarcerated Per Capita on the planet" (70% higher than mother Russia iirc)...and maybe "most spied-upon by their own government" could be slotted into a different verse." Oh, and maybe the odd "Corporate Gulag" phrase to bring a bit of reality to an out-dated song.

Funny thing, when I was a 12 year old kid reading Maclean, Bagley, Deighton, Le Carre and the early Ludlum cold war stuff, I thought the Russians were the bad guys. Its a sad state of affairs when childhood impressions hit the brick wall of cold hard reality based on solid evidence (that no-one exactly denies), and comes a distant second. WP's interview with Snowden points to a genuine, morally strong guy. By every action of damage limitation/discreditation Obama and the NSA have undertook, they have painted themselves as Class-A cunts. And that's just the stuff in the public domain (although there still isn't much curiosity about Max Hasting's amazing ejecting Merc bloc - big embarrassment for the Germans that one of their cars should fail so miserably).

Just a than you to everyone at ZH, particularly Tylers and WB7, for another seriously informative, usually accurate/prophetic and very amusing year. I hope most of you are having a blast over the festive period, and those that are - hope you all BTFD when Au/Ag hit the bottom and start to show some serious appreciation (be soon no fucking phys left the way the Asians are snapping it up).

It may be an old one for most of you but,

TSA = Thousands Standing Around

We have spent over a $trillion in the last 12 years and the result is I can still smuggle a 1/4 oz on a flight across the country with no problem.

Next time I will try some hyro peroxide and aluminum shavings just for shits and grins.

The $ trillion spent on TSA is nothing but another keep the idiots employed and spending program.

Of course, TSA has nothing to do with terraism, except for the fact that the same "authorities" who orchestrated the 9/11 psy-ops, established the TSA.  It has only one real purpose, which is to condition acceptance by Americans (actually with its mandated spread around the globe, everyone who flies) to being subject to the most outrageous intrusions, such as, for example,  sexually molesting your children.  TSA applicants are selected for their lack of intelligence and thugishness.  Since they enjoy abusing people, they are less likely to rebel against their owners when TSHTF.  The good news is that bottom feeder TSA agents are dropping like flies from radiation induced cancer.  But America has an endless supply of these creeps, particularly as the economic noose tightens.

Speaking of the TSA, I traveled by Amtrak this holiday season.  On my return trip back home, in Chicago Union Station, there was a large Police/TSA presence. Plenty of dogs and people being pulled aside for random searches -- and CHEEK SWABS.  A middle-aged couple and their college-aged daughter were cheek swabbed before they were allowed onto the train.

What the actual fuck?
