The movie "Escape from New York" comes to mind.

Skateboarder's picture

Have you gone in for your daily frisking, comrade?

Leonardo Fibonacci2's picture

The entourage of Menachem Stark the Satmar Hasidim that was murdered last week in Williamsburg is complaining that De Blasio has no heart to go pay respects for shiva (mourning) to the family.  The guy was a slumlord why should De Blasio waste his time?  Because Bloomberg use to do stuff like that!

Stackers's picture

I guess Bloomberg's logo had a swastika instead of sickle and hammer ?

Freddie's picture

Stop - you are going to make me like DeBlasio.  This scumbag slumlord had about 10 enemies for every friend.  Total vermin like the rats in his buildings.

mrdenis's picture

DeBlasio was one of them ........

midtowng's picture

The daily frisking was the policy if the Republican Mayor before him.

Skateboarder's picture

Are you telling me the frisking has stopped? Does an alcoholic only have one drink a day?

viahj's picture

i'm not an alcoholic, but you should see the size of my glass!

Headbanger's picture

I'm not an alcoholic !  I'm a drunk!  Alcoholics go to meetings!

Damn...  Where's the ice??

TeMpTeK's picture

Bloomberg a Republican??? You dont really believe that do u?

midtowng's picture

So De Blasio doesn't actually have to do anything to get compared to Stalin and Pol Pot. I guess the right-wing is fact-free these days.

ImfallibleK's picture

Where've you been? It's been fact-free all millenium.

Unprepared's picture

I, I get hammered every new red moon in NY?

Unprepared's picture

Forgot to mention that I can handle that.

"The movie "Escape from New York" comes to mind."

No it doesn't.  NYC has become just exactly like Moscow and St. Petersburg years ago - with one important difference: public transportation for the millions who use it/need it  is of infinitely better quality in Russia and a damn sight cheaper, meaning affordable.

It could have been worse...

The Mayor's tweet from an hour ago @Carlos_Danger & the entire council "Together, we’ll work long and hard on my big, progressive agenda for New Yorkers."

Or Safir (security nut), Liu (son of Triad boss), Thompson (Bloomberg toady), Spitzer, Weiner, etc.  I was pulling for the Rent Is Too Damn High guy.

Looks like Mike Bloomberg trapped in a pair of Jockey boxers.

Bloomturd, that's on the other side of the jockey shorts.

Considering that this is the result we so often get, why do we even bother pretending to have "elections" any more?

Edit: DOUBLE gag at HH's post, which showed up after I started working on this one.  :)

I have wseen that sickle some place before:

And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the temple, crying with a great voice to him that sat on the cloud, Send forth thy sickle, and reap: for the hour to reap is come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was reaped. Another angel came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, he that hath power over fire; and he called with a great voice to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Send forth thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel cast his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vintage of the earth, and cast it into the winepress, the great winepress, of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and there came out blood from the winepress, even unto the bridles of the horses, as far as a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

It only gets better from here.

Why would it be any different if it was captioned, "President Goebbels I Heart USSA"? DeBlasio is a pimp compared to the zsshat in the WH.

Moscow on the Hudson ... complete with Pravda (NYT) to dispense gov't swill.

Same as it ever was ...

Hey, De Blasio is going to make Rinky Dink Dinkins look good. That is an accomplishment in itself.

Speaking of how well that 'national security' is working a news story about a terrorist you won't be hearing about because he doesn't foward the police state security meme.

Even though he was arrested with 48 bombs, several weapons, and a bulletproof vest, you might not have heard of the arrest of Andrew Scott Boguslawski. Boguslawski was recently pulled over for driving 15 mph over the speed limit in London, Ohio, just outside of the state capital.

The officer who pulled him over noticed that Boguslawski’s bumper sticker read, “If you can read this, you’re in range.” That led him to ask Andrew Scott Boguslawski whether there were any weapons in his car. Under Ohio law, if you are carrying a weapon legally, you must keep your hands in plain sight and tell a law enforcement officer when they approach the vehicle. Since Boguslawski didn’t mention any weapons, the officer thought something might be amiss, since anyone with a bumper sticker like that would likely have a Concealed Carry Weapons permit… unless they were prohibited from obtaining one, the officer reasoned.

Still, the officer knew this suspicion did not meet the burden of probable cause, so he wrote Boguslawski a ticket for going 85 in a 70 mph zone of Interstate 70, just outside of the state’s capital of Columbus. When Boguslawski took the ticket, part of a handgun was revealed, sticking out from underneath one of his legs. Under Ohio law, a firearm must be kept secured in a holster when carried. Boguslawski had not only lied about the presence of the weapon, but he had it ready to grab.

When the officer called for backup, their search revealed that Boguslawski had more than just a handgun, but was instead hauling 48 bombs, and additional bomb-making materials. He also had two pistols and two rifles, as well as a bulletproof vest. Some of the 48 bombs were connected to remote detonators already, making it clear that Boguslawski was on his way to plant these bombs.

The mainstream media hasn’t show much interest in this case yet. One might wonder whether this would be the case if Boguslawski’s name was “Abdullah”.

I disagree with the author's conclusion and put forth you don't hear about this because local police using standard police training and common sense caught this guy and the media can't spin it as a success for 'national security' since he was never flagged as terrorist for all his bomb making materials and they can't claim they protected us to push the we need a more militarized 'national security' force to keep everyone safe from terrorism meme with this one. This local cop wasn't trained in counter-terrrorism, rolling around like Gi-Joe armed to the teeth. He was just a local guy who used typical police training and some common sense. You don't need some civil rights power grab to do police work.

Buckaroo Banzai's picture

It's a middle-aged white male, exactly the kind of person the media hate.

Not sure what to make of it.

TheReplacement's picture

Just gonna throw this out there as a wild ass theory:

Perhaps he was on his way to either set the bombs himself or give/sell to someone else who would.  The point being to setup an event where National Security would be the word of the day, ie, false flag.

Let's see if we EVER hear from him in his own words or if he hangs himself in his cell.

pragmatic hobo's picture

only difference between communism and capitalism is under communism everyone knows the system is rigged to funnel capital from the bottom 99% to top 1% whereas in capitalism everyone denies the system is rigged to funnel capital from the bottom 99% to top 0.01% ...

Kirk2NCC1701's picture

Didn't the same people invent both systems?  I.e. Special people no one is allowed to criticize, but may speak of only in tones of fear or reverence? /s

they are, after all, The Chosen.

If it's rigged it isn't capitalism.  Your point is invalid.  Please reboot and try again.

Not being a New Jorker, I noticed that they elect only people with an Italian or Jewish heritage.  Wazzup!?

And here I thought that NYC was the most ethnically diverse city in the world, big on Diversity.

PoorMan429's picture

He was born Warren Wilhelm.

Dad abandonded him. DeBlasio is his mothers maiden name. He changed it right before he started in politics.. Speculation may now ensue.

ShrNfr's picture

Many aspects of his behavior can be explained by the fact that he was raised in the People's Republic of Cambridge. Another reality free zone.

The Political Education Of Bill de Blasio

"A staff member in de Blasio’s office, alerted that Israel does not exist on the drop-down menu of countries on the airline’s web site, called posing as an Israeli and tried to reserve a flight and was essentially told to get lost."

"That’s an issue for the city, not the State Department, because 'anything that happens in the five boroughs, our human rights laws apply. If they’re going to break our laws against discrimination based on race or national origin they don’t belong in our airports.'"

"A solid pro-Israel gesture from a public official with extensive backing from Jewish donors."

"And if anyone doesn’t like my stance in favor of Israel, they can vote for someone else," de Blasio said.

Bill De Blasio – The Elected King Of The Jews

"Bill de Blasio can add another supporting group to his column. Mayor-Elect de Blasio is the first Democrat to win the Jewish vote since Ed Koch [jew] won his reelection bid in 1985."
