Druckenmiller On Chris Christie: "Once In A Generation Leader"
With the FBI joining investigations into the New Jersey Governor's Bridge-Gate scandal (and David Wildstein 'pleading da fif'), it would appear Chris Christie is calling in some favors. Bloomberg TV's Stephanie Ruhle reports this moring that the billionaire money manager Stan Druckenmiller proclaimed, "Governor Christie's actions yesterday reinforces my admiration for him," as he (rightly) pointed out that "the country thirsts for a great leader. A leader's actions in crisis are revealing." Druckenmiller went on to explain in his statement that he "believes Chris Christie is a once-in-a-generation leader... and he is showing essential executive skills as a manager: ensuring accountability and taking responsibility."

Perhaps if those great men and others of that age had 24/7 agenda driven news media with instantaneous communication ability, cell phones with cameras and mics, the politically correct police, organized government and police state with skin in the game, a citizenry that was more concerned with and busy ensuring they had enough to make it through a harsh winter instead of "gun to your head" taxation and morality police then they too would be all covered in warts and in all likliehood would have been destroyed before even beginnning careers like we have in today's world.
You can even look back to just the 1960's with Kennedy, he had plenty of warts and flaws and wasn't the perfect leader he was made out to be at the time. The only way to have those type of leaders again is to have a completely controlled and complicit media and by the looks of it we are headed in that direction so if your patient enough in another decade we may start "enjoying" greatness in politics again. Much like North Korea with their "Dear Leader".
You sure you want that?
"Accountability" means fuck all if there are no consequences.
Why is the White House such a asshole magnet?
I fail to see the logic in relying on a leader who has such a lack of control that he cannot even control his obesity.
I am very surprised that he has not dropped dead in his present role. In the pressure cooker of the presidency, he would die a week after the inauguration.
I wonder how President Christie would have "utilized" the NSA?
Guardian story on Christie:
"Above all what today's revelations demonstrate is that he simply lacked the discipline to be a national figure, to undergo political scrutiny and to respond to political differences with something other than fury. He was a ticking time bomb as a politician. It was only a matter of time before he blew up."

I used to like Druckenmiller.
Hopefully the "once" is only one day . . . or the for most the one time is about to be over and done with.
So now billionaire are officially bankrolling president candidates, puppetery from inflationistas speculators is in plain sight.
The other thing which is amusing is that those guys who made money out of a corrupt system of debasement throw their weight and publicly endorse a candidate. Soros is endorsing Clinton, the hubris of those people is complete.
Do they really think that the fact they are endorsing this or that candidate will help the candidate, really? They apparently have not been in mainstreet for a long long time....
It could actually haunt them when the final tally and when a Tribunal is set-up to look at all of those guys one by one. This is going to hurt. Same thing happened in France in 1793, a tribunal to judge the profiteers, same thing in Russia in 1917, in Germany instead of going after bankers they went after the jews, even the jew working a classical musician in an orchestra or the painter or writer or scientist, they should have gone after all bankers in an equal opportunity move.
Same thing happened in 1948 profiteers were chased down hard by the Communist.
No foresight those guys...
Yeh, Leader to the trough....
Didn't they say similar things about His Unholy Messiahship?
Ummm... Christie is a leader alright, he helped "lead" the charge against making securities fraud a crime.
He used to work at the Securities Industry Association where he was essentially Madoff's lobbyist.
Don't be a hater. Chris Cristy is twice the man you are...
Three times (by weight).
Lap band surgery = lol
I have seen that not work several times. Humpty Dumpty just needs to own that blubber. I thought fat people were jolly. Can you imagine the extra major asshole that would appear if he got down to two hundred lbs.
chris christie is a once in a generation nazi scam artist.
Verbot.exe..load fatty cupcake module... ooomesohunnngee
Well it takes a lot to make a certain wife of an ex-prez with some dark issues look better... hey WB7 a nice expose' in image of the anthony weiner and his wife with hillary tryst... lots o' content rumours have it..
But we wont be gettin cheated if he is elected by the pound...
"...taking responsibility"...in the old days that would have meant resigning
in the really old days he would have had to fall on his sword but with Wall Street coming to his aid, "at this point what difference does it really make?"
What "old days" are you talking about? I've been around long enough and have seen few politicians resign. We've had 1 president "resign" and that was after all else failed.
"The Buck Stops Here" was a nice slogan but the reality has been "shit runs downhill".
Once in a generation fat ass puppet of ZOG!
The Republican Party is a fucking joke! Chris Christie? Really? Sen Ted Cruz for President!!!
So tell me - what exactly has Christie accomplished? He's achieved a national reputation because he's an "undiplomatic" loud mouth. He clearly does not have the temperament to be POTUS.
When there was such a thing as "accountablility", politicians such as these U.S. senators did resign:
1982 Harrison A. Williams Democratic New Jersey ResignedConvicted for bribery and conspiracy in the Abscam scandal; resigned before a vote by the full Senate
1995 Bob Packwood Republican Oregon ResignedCharged with sexual misconduct and abuse of power; resigned before a Senate vote
2011 John Ensign Republican Nevada Resigned Charged with financial improprieties stemming from an extramarital affair. Resigned before vote.Wildstein knows where the bodies are buried, if they take him down, he will potentially bring a lot of others down with him. Christie, the inflatable clown could lose his following in a heartbeat and a NY minute, all it would take would be some damning internal emails, the guy does not have much appeal apart from his tough guy, biggest bully persona, not that those are assets in any other country than Rush Limbaugh country.
