Obama "Fixes" The NSA: Full Transcript And Wordcloud

Tyler Durden's picture

Earlier today Obama uttered 5,469 words to essentially say that Edward Snowden was right in blowing the whistle on the US totalitarian "Big Brother" superspy apparatus. Of course, that won't change the fact that Snowden is self-exiled Russia, and meanwhile in the US nothing will change except for the hiring of some intelligence czar, pretending to reform the NSA's activities while in reality just buying himself three years of breathing room, as all future complaints will be swept under the blanket rug of "we are busy fixing it." Anyway, for all those who don't wish to call their friendly, neighborhood NSA call center to access an instant replay of what Obama said, here is his full speech courtesy of the WaPo as well as the full wordcloud. Sadly, since the words "constitution" and "freedom" were only mentioned 4 and 2 times respectively, they did not make their way into the cloud of most frequently uttered words.

And the full transcript (pdf):

Fascism.  We are soaking in it: Top Candidate Recipient from Apple Computer, 2012, Barack Obama (D)    $308,081

Bribery is an act of giving money or gift giving that alters the
behavior of the recipient. Bribery constitutes a crime and is defined by
Black's Law Dictionary as the offering, giving, receiving, or
soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official
or other person in charge of a public or legal duty.

Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation
often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a
mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

"At the same time, he will consult with the relevant committees in Congress to seek their views," the official said.

Members of Congress that own Apple Inc shares: 38

That's a very telling thing about the Head Liar In Chief....he only takes questions when the crowd is hand-picked and questions are pre-approved.  NEVER when he's forced into making a speech like he did today does he take questions....it's well-known how big a stuttering problem he has when he isn't able to read from the prompter.  If he'd have been asked questions today, he'd probably still be stuttering and stammering through a BS answer.

“The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities" - Zbigniew Brzezinski He wrote this back in the early 70's.

I thought the same. But could also be France.

But this doesn't matter.

This matters:

"Third, the legal safeguards that restrict surveillance against U.S. persons without a  warrant do not apply to foreign persons overseas. "

+

"Meanwhile, a number of countries, including some who have loudly criticized the NSA,

privately acknowledge that America has special responsibilities as the world’s only superpowe r, that our intelligence capabilities are critical to meeting these responsibilities and that they themselves have relied on the information we obtained to protect their own people." ***
So USrael spies on everyone and then shares this information with it's alliies. And the alliies say to their citizens: We did not spy on you. We got this information from USrael and we cannot forbid them to spy. The only problem left is by spying on US-citizens. But for what are friends good for? If the NSA finds something, it let's one of the friends pick it up, the friend is very surprised about the info and iforms USrael of what it has found. And no one is spying on it's own citizens...

Diabolical.

The more we lose our liberties, the bigger the flags get.

This is the standard Mao speech, with large patriotic flags behind you, saying the exact words that you do not mean; a speech that is not you; a speech that it is not your policies.

In fact, your policies are the exact opposite.

As Mao addressed his citizens - exclaiming that he would take care of them - he was having them shot, he was imprisoning them; he was taking away their livelihoods.  As he said we are providing for you, he was stealing from them.

This is the standard dictator speech of a dictatorial totalitarian government. And their dictators have used it for centuries.

When you lie to Americans every day, as Obama does and has done, you begin to lose more and more of the low-information Americans. Even the headline readers are getting the picture. At this point in the Obama Administration, for Obama to invoke Paul Revere is to create the opposite impression from what he desires. The people realize he is hiding something; he is hiding the people who control him.

This is the man who said that the siphoning of all this mass American data should not be held by the government. But he hasn’t decided by whom.

The man, besides being a liar and a puppet, is a joke. He is a cruel joke.

I am scared shitless of this agency and intend to stay as far away from all of this as I possibly can.  Therefore, if there is to be any change in our spying, congress and Eric Holder will have to implement it.

I listened to ths speech and re-read it twice, and I think what he said is that the federal spy agencies are forming a partnership with private corporations to gather, store, and determine how the data will be used.

With all the references to the office of the attorney general etc, it sounds like the feds will serve as the legal "hit men" to cover the asses of the private corporate use of the data. So all your data will be fully and legally mined by the feds in collusion with the telcos and isps, then farmed out and processed through corporate intelligencia and modelling and they will do  with it whatever they damn well want to to digitally "control" policy and publicly lobbied law making around these macro data sets.

Todays speech is simply an announcement of this new power centralization between the executive branch and private interests. What he was saying to congress is, don't worry, I've got your back, your campaign financers will keep bribbing you to make laws that serve their interests. Barry just outsourced the data to private banking interests through executive fiat and the speech had very little to do with John Q Public other than to let him know that he is owned.

He also tipped his hat to international interests (who may now access the data if they are a business), mentioned the consitution, and MLK, and pointed out that our nation was founded by spies just like you and me who were yearning for freedom.

Speaking of cheap energy, that NSA data center in Utah is supposed to consume 65MW and 1.7 million gallons of water per day.  Now that is excessive.  Fortunately for us, the contractor that did the electrical screwed up and it cannot come online just yet, as shit keeps on burning out.  It's yet another government boondoggle.

Good point Miffed. Back in the good old days, DuPont designed their plants top to bottom. All the process equipment was designed in house and all proprietary equipment was fabricated at places like Wilmington Shops. We had our own Construction Division as part of the the Engineering Department*. Every plant I went to worldwide was overbuilt and overdesigned. Things like electrical power centers blowing up was unheard of and unthinkable.

* DuPont was organized by departments which were made up of functional divisions like R&D, design, etc.

Take a look at my posts on the columns on Zerohedge before the speech, that is exactly what I said the speech would contain (I have no internal source of information, it was only a guess on my part).  Now you will hear the name USIS start floating from the DoJ and Congress.  Mark my words, they are going to outsource the holding of the data to a "private investigative firm" so that all investigations will be done by "private investigators" thereby thwarting any constitutional protections or state laws (such as the one proceeding through the Washington State legislature right now), at the request of the NSA.  I sure hope that I am not giving them any ideas, but I am quite certain that they had thought of this prior to my posting it.

Sign of the times.

I saw this, this morning on U.S. 101 in northern California: large poster photographs of President Obama. And cars stopping at a booth near a sign.

The sign, in very large letters, read: PULL OVER IMPEACH OBAMA.

What's even better is you can take out 'NSA' and replace it with 'FBI', 'ATF', 'DEA' or whatever, and it still comes out the same, and is the absolute truth.

The motherfucking NSA and all their spying on us didn't stop one "terrrorist" attack, and the only "plots" the F BEE EYE ever stopped is the ones they financed.

The government is the problem, not the solution.

The ONLY way to make this constitutional raping worse is to put the warrantless megadata into the hands of private corporations.

How would you like to have everything you've ever done sold by private concerns to the highest bidder?

Impeach.

Like frogs in a kettle we are making the transition from Huxley's vision to Orwell's. So fucking surreal.

I couldn't help but note that this speech had absolutely zero substance...

outside of the unmistakable announcement of still further consolidation of power by the white house and the administration, that is.

anybody else pick up on that?

or am I just too jaded and paranoid for polite society?

Networks are working on the story for the sheep tonight, I'm guessing " "President Obama promising sweeping and punitive changes for The NSA during a prompt and very confrontational speech and lauded the efforts of attorney general Eric Holder to gain the release of Edward Snowden being held in a Russian Gulag saying "we want Edward Snowden back in his county so we can debrief him"

All words. Barry should sign an agreement that what he said will be carried out and failing to satisfy written conditions would result in 20 years prison + charges for treason and lies. Talking is cheap and I couldn't force mouse do shit with yelling at it. :P Same for words from Barry. What a pathetic pawn.
