How Erik Prince, Founder Of Blackwater, Will Help China Subjugate Africa

Tyler Durden's picture

As we previously explained numerous times (here originally and here most recently) Africa is a crucial region in the world...

As Western economies start to regress in earnest following decades of failed and destructive monetary inflation and debt accumulation, as we warned previously, yield-starved investors are allocating real capital to the one industrially untapped continent in the world: Africa. However, we’re not seeing industry moving to Africa to set up shop. Rather, politically-directed capital flowing into the African resources sector is fueling and financing the strongest consumer boom in the world. It’s a vendor financing model for Asia, and it portends a major boom and bust cycle for the African continental economy.

And as the fight begins to accelerate, as Mike Krieger notes, nations will increase their efforts...

Submitted by Mike Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

China’s ongoing colonization of Africa represents yet another sad development in the continent’s tragic history. I briefly highlighted this topic once before in December 2012, via a “Guest Post” I suggest reading titled: Africa in the Crosshairs.

Unfortunately, Erik Prince of Blackwater infamy is now coming to town, which can only mean more pain, suffering and servitude for Africa.

From the South China Morning Post:

Shares of DVN Holdings, controlled by Hong Kong businessman Johnson Ko Chun-shun and state-owned Citic Group, surged 7.3 per cent after it appointed Erik Prince – former owner of controversial US security firm Blackwater – as chairman, and granted him more share options.

This is in addition to five-year options granted to him that allowed him to buy 205.1 million shares at 73 HK cents each in late November, as part-payment for a start-up East African aviation and logistics firm injected by Prince into DVN. The two options mean he could own about 23 per cent of DVN.

Prince last November sold to DVN a company that plans to build a pan-Africa provider of aviation, logistics, risk management, security services and exploration support services, needed by many Chinese businesses active in Africa. He received US$3 million plus the first batch of options.

Prince has logistics, aviation, manufacturing, resources and energy business interests in Africa, the Middle East and North America, and is the founder of Frontier Resource Group, a private equity firm active in African aviation, exploration, mining and logistics, DVN said.

He was also the founder of Blackwater, which he sold in 2010 and was renamed Xe Services and then Academi, after four years of federal investigation into allegations of sanctions violations, illegal exports and bribery against the firm and its staff. Blackwater was a security services firm that protected US officials in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The firm subsequently paid US$42 million in fines for hundreds of violations of US export rules, to avoid criminal charges, The New York Times reported.

Just like with the banks, Prince gets to pay a fine and walk free. Get the joke yet?

Good documentary, but did they really have to go to a third-world country to accomplish their goal?!

I am sure that the criminals of the Dutch government would have participated.

But then there are 546 or so in DC that would have probably done it for less. All the documentarist would have had to do is set up shop on "K" street.

"All 546 in DC can play the blues well, as all of them have been to the 'crossroads' many times."

America be watching your 6 'o clock.

Any Navy Seals worth their salt and that have any ounce of integrity after what this Country has sold out to in the last two decades who had the pleasure of working with this scum should make it their life's ambition to take him out!

And while you are at it -Please don't forget this hero either.  By the way. The hero is the young good looking kid reading to the pus filled sack of Navy shit that tells him he should run for office if he want to "press charges".

Hope you have his guts.

Certainly makes a lot more sense than how you ended that sentence.

Trust me I have no illusion about the vast majority that serve this Country begging for an honorable discharge and a continued paycheck being there only motivation to do anything when they are told...

The infamous "Osama Bin Laden" cover up should have finished it for the guys that served with the ones that didn't return home.  Or at least as we understand the story?

No. I think the vast majority of them are like Erik Prince and Chris Kyle and that's the problem!

I could be wrong, but I think the reason we did not invade Syria is because Zero and his bosses figured out that they didn't have the military behind them.  The American people were against it, but since when did that stop these fuckers?  The bank bailouts were overwhelmingly opposed by the sheep.  Yes, there is corruption in the ranks especially at the top.  And there are guys who think it's cool to bomb shit and they don't care about much else. But there are a lot of guys who do give a fuck about the oath they swore, and who see what's going on.

The big clue to me this weekend was that Drudge ran a story about the Feds who want to see Snowden dead.  It made it sound like the average guy in the military thinks spying on Americans is okay.  Drudge is a NeoCon, and if he's feeling threatened, that means there's hope.

Sun, 01/19/2014 - 00:36 | 4345319 Son of Captain Nemo
Son of Captain Nemo's picture

Agreed.  My only comment is that we need more of the ones who "do give a fuck about the oath they swore, and who see what's going on"...  If we had enough of them these covert and overt wars would have ceased by now.

I think the guys who "do give a fuck" in this camp are getting thrown out, and we need to be paying much closer attention to who is replacing them given the significance of their occupations in the military. This should be getting as much press time as the Snowden leaks but -isn't.

This has not been getting nearly enough attention and is too scary for words.

'Good guys' is a subjective term and yeah I would bet most in the military do want to see action and military engagment especially those trained at the service academies.  What they can't stand is the kind of static action in Afghanistan where they are being used more in a training/police capacity with their hands severely tied on the rules of engagement.

Hey, you're supposed to be keeping your eye on The Magic Negro's hand gestures and not what's up his sleeve.  Stop that because you're ruining it for everyone else.  The complete take-over of the military by Obamalackeys is supposed to be secret until it's foisted upon the masses just as they think the military will save them.  It's going to be so deliciously ironic.  And then the rank and file guys in the forces who think they are going to stand up to the brass who are giving unconstitutional orders and will valiantly uphold their oath will find out what this regime has in store for such patriotic heroes.  Their "patriotism" will be corrected pretty quickly or else that grunt will find himself in the brig--or the focus of a firing squad.  Dissent in the ranks shall not be tolerated.  They shall be culled as appropriate.

Don't think they're going to make this easy for you.  You'll need to be on your toes at all times.

I am Chumbawamba.

Well said indeed. Thought I'd update my response with the poster child of what happens when you don't tow the party line and follow unlawful orders.

This is the kind of guy you would want to serve under if you were in the military.  Why this story hasn't been followed by the guys in active service and in the national guard after all these years of lies and deceit from the government they serve and take orders from is testament to how truly fucked up the U.S. military is.

If there were any hope and sign that the U.S. military had turned the corner guys like McChrystal would have been cut from crotch to eyeball and hung from a street lamp like a wishbone!

The major reason why we didn't invade Syria is that Putin made an international ass out of Obama, which wasn't difficult to do given Kerry as the administration's spokesman and his appeal to authority being youtube. The 'glorious' Syrian rebels Zero supports continue to behead and bomb their way across Syria leaving a path of destruction in their wake that even Zero would be proud of.

That article fits in with this one about how the puppetmasters are trying to stage a fight between America and Russia.  They are weakening America against the Russians, while hiding Russian strengths.

http://www.joelskousen.com/threats.html

That being said, America has more than enough corrupt thugs for a dirty, house-to-house civil war.  The fighting will be mainly veterans and militias vs. cops, alphabet agency death squads, and mercenaries (i.e. Blackwater, Russians, mysterious snipers and drone jockeys).  The side which is perceived as defending themselves against atrocities is favored to win.  The side with the stronger currency is favored to win.  For both reasons, the sons of liberty should calm their itchy trigger fingers.  Now is the time to wait, watch, prepare, educate, gather allies.  I think that under the right circumstances ~80% of the country could secede, followed by NY and DC being sacked by barbarians.  Doubt it will be quick enough to stop the dual citizens from escaping with the last of the loot but one can dream...

If you want to acquire a nation do the following:

1) Start buying their commodities for lots of money.  They are thrilled with their new found riches.

2) Stockpile these commodities at home.

3) Tell the country you want lots and lots more.  They respond that they don't have the facilities.

4) Lend them billions to build huge facilities.  They do.

5) Drop the commodity prices by dumping your stockpiles on the market.

6) Country loses money and can't afford loan payments.

7) Buy all the facilities and resources for next to nothing.

Money is what is the religion of these Blackwater types and the human fragile lifeblood of the indigenous peoples their adjustment variable to make "blood diamond" profits from.

Time and time again we see it unfurling before our eyes, now openly linking the opium/drug cartels on all continents to their shadowy games where all sources of dirty money become "fair means" in the name of the Great game.

Syrian dystopia, after Pak/Afghan and Iraq dystopia, the ongoing road map to the future, to further propogate the "fear and control" Mantra of oligarchy global imperialism.

Kaiser Soze is a Princely American shill playing at being "Saver of free world"; as a more muscular Rambo like follow-up to quintessential British upperclass narcissitic avatar : James "licensed to kill" Bond.

To fight the Oligarchy you need a political party with a realistic platform. Its a dodo dream the libertarian one; no sense of cohesion and solidarity to coalesce the majority. Every man for himself  is not a political platform, never has never will be.

What poetic justice that these valuable but "too expensive" employees got hired by the Chinese, and rather than getting mad, are getting even.

http://www.themalaymailonline.com/money/article/china-decries-us-spendin... wonder if that includes i-phones? probably not. in any case here's the news from the wind turbine front: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-17/wind-power-rivals-coal-with-1-b... "wanna get in the game you gotta play ball" i guess.

I agree a lot of US based companies prefer to outsource.

Hard to outsource a hydroelectric plant. http://www.rdmag.com/news/2013/09/hydroelectric-power-makes-big-comeback...

One interesting aspect of the current and still ongoing economic collapse has been the decline in electricity consumption: http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.cfm?id=14291

that says to me "at the margin is the rule." in other words as renewable energy comes online it has an outsized impact on price (driving it down) as demand remains constant.

http://energy.gov/sites/prod/files/2013/09/f2/Revolution%20Now%20--%20Th...

Of course you can take "production" (coal fired plants, et al) off line. http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/07/jpmorgan-chase-manipulate-electr...

The problem comes up however when....you simply lose your revenues. PERIOD.

http://www.electricdrive.org/index.php?ht=d/sp/i/20952/pid/20952

I can't imagine a vehicle company on earth that wouldn't die for that "revenue ramp." And that doesn't include fuel cells.

http://www.fuelcells.org/pdfs/FuelCellForkliftsGainGround.pdf that's an all electric drive system...not included in the "all electricdrive.org" numbers for some strange reason.

Plug Power has 80% of the market with "4000 forklifts in operation today with expectations of selling 3000 forklifts in 2014." That would almost double existing capacity.

Here's the "displacer": http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.cfm?id=14431 "so you simply fuel your battery instead of charging it." Sounds like you better be in the electric drive system. IMMEDIATELY.

again..."this is at the margin." In other words there are no new "net" sales in either Europe or the USA for vehicle platforms...nor has there been for more than a decade...meaning all electrics will simply displace the ICE...and the gasoline to power it. God forbid if sales collapse again.

In other words "this can happen REALLY fast." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YzkW9bV0Fc "and roil ENERGY MARKETS."

HK company will hire Blackwater for domestic security in Africa

HK was a british colony for over 100 years, and it still is essentiall, the CHINESE keep a distance.

HK doesn't have a fucking thing to do with BEIJING CHINA.

Once again ZH proves that they have their head up their ass when it comes to writing titles for stupid fucking POSTS

BULLSHIT 24/7/365

Probably the most entertaining thing on ZH is dicihpering the real meaning of the title POST.

"This one should have been titled"

"British Colony hires Blackwater for Janitorial work in Africa"

Blackwater is so fucked, that they'll take any work they can get, they have been 'black-listed' everywhere, ... Nobody else probably wanted this job in Africa.

You should read more carefully. DVN Holdings does most of its business in China in a variety of sectors/SOEs and CITIC is a Chinese investment holdings group. It is incorporated in Bermuda and listed on the HK Stock Exchange. They merged with FSL to explore the usual--oil gas-logistics in Africa. If one looks at the CEOs and Board members and their business dealings, the major stake is held by Chinese affiliated companies. It is not British nor Hong Kong owned or managed.

DVN Holdings, controlled by Hong Kong businessman Johnson Ko Chun-sh

***
What part of this don't you understand?

Hong-Kong has not a fucking thing to do with CHINA.

If you have bothered to read the rather than spewing BOT-SHIT then you would know that this POST doens't have a damn thing to do with CHINA.

OK, You are an idiot and a dissembler of unsubstantiated bullshit. DVN Holdings is not controlled in HK but is a majority owned PRC/SOE company. Your insecure Caps Bold just shows that you are more interersted in spreading crap on this blog than dealing with the facts. The Johnson guy has now been relegated to a board member and most of his chairman activities are on Mainland Chinese companies. It is not a HK controlled co. but a Bermuda/international company with a majority funding from the PRC.

Fuck off you clown with your 'China first' ideological claptrap. Ypu have no idea about China you fraud.

Let me go on. Your posts were  somewhat entertaining but you are a fraud just like Anonymous and 'Not a real American'.

You spew forth your prejudicies and cloak this with I live in Asia/ China without any verifiable facts. What bullshit or if you understand you are a grass mud horse. GO for it you fraud.

Tangle with me you POS.

Facts always trump Ex-Pat bullshit. Try the facts it may be a new and ultimately a redeeming experience.

almost fifty years since nixon's chinese detente and the world's gravitational pull stretches realities?

reagan has too relegate the ussr to history's dustbin, knowing that us containment would have finnished the job in a year or two at most! but reagan had orders? knowing quite well that a q khan of backward pakistan was working on the atomic bomb, and was warned many times by richard barlow a lowly intel/ct desk analysis jockey that was ignored by wolfowitz, casey, and the entire dod, etel !?

reagan gets his victory using afghanistan pashtuns and pakistan mujahideen trained on china' bordere, with the help of ubl's al qaeda in afghanistan.

bingo, the coldwar is over but the vacuum it created is insatiable and bottomless? Afghanistan creates a sharia-law Taliban government fomenting civil ambiguity?

pakistan has now tested four nuclear bombs sucessfully and a plutoium bomb two days later said to be n. korean for their swapping delvery systems technology as gratis. china now wants in on fissile nuclear weapon technology rather than plutonim which is expensive and time consuming, whereas fissile is in! Now india must show its nuclear might by detonating three or four nukes weeks later. so now we have two countries that would sooner rather than later take their chances and throwing 'MAD" out the window and go for broke destroying each other. yes, it is that bad, folks! but our foreign policy masters knew the outcome from the getgo!

so here we are in the second decade of the 21st century and pakistan could go jihadst all the way with their nuclear arsenal, and india not blinking an eye either, with afghanistan set to light the torch when the us pulls out under pakistans thumb. the russians got turkmenistan, uzbekistan, and tajikistan ready to implode traversing the silk road of commerce wih a very strog love affair with india, which the pakistani's hate and china tolerates!

sadly, iran and iraq are coming onto the scene after bush #43 made a mess in grandiose style, leaving afghanistan ready for another civil war, and pakistan getting drawn into the fray. rather than the puppet master, its leverage and a bufferzone it once had wielded in afghanistan will be pakistans demise lost to extremist that will spill over into china nortrheast!?

so, we got smething going here folks that was planned by the masters fifty years in advance in america's foreign policy about to be played out in this ninth inning?

russia won't pull the trigger, nor wlll china, and certainly not the us, but pakistan and india could do the world's dirty work, while japan and  n.korea could eliminate that nusance without any loss of love in asia. and wih the me already firmly in the throes of shiite, sunni annihilation already in the script, the only thing yet to go up in smoke would be the chosen ones that the grand plan from the beginning was created for, as the playing out is fast approaching a rabid? chain reaction of fussion creating a usa new world order.    jmo  :-))

ps. as far as africa is concerned, the entire continent is being euthanized through evolutionary eugenics??? biolabs are made for, and only the grand masters plan, just as aids & hiv had a cure/ antidote before the genocidal innocultion was to be environmentally institutionalized?

pakistan tested ~ two weeks later may28 - may30 1998 six (6) nukes

Ps. all low level at ~ 25-30 kt compared to todays 300 -500kt war heads

both pak and indo have minimum hundred missile fitted and ready to launch warhead nuclear wmd's

Ps2.   Reagan and the USSA's CIA, paid for the clandestine Pakistani nuclear development fuel cycle, while knowing it was operational. don't let anybody bullshit ya, period!!! The USSA doesn't care for India being a strong ally of russia since wwii?!?

Ps3. Pakistan plutonium nuke reactor provides them with 'Tritium' a booster by-product they add increasing the overall yield of a nuke bomb by a factor of three (3) to four (4)! This is the concern for Iran's Arak Reactor?

Prince last November sold to DVN a company that plans to build a pan-Africa provider of aviation, logistics, risk management, security services and exploration support services, needed by many Chinese businesses active in Africa. He received US$3 million plus the first batch of options.

Translation: Aviation = helicopters & small cargo planes to ferry in Mercs.  Logistics = Supplies to Mercs. "Risk Management" = Mercs. Security Services = Obvious.  Exploration Support Services = Guards who are Mercs.

Erik Prince cares not whether the Mercs are white guys or Chinamen.  Might as well be Chinamen who can take orders directly from the mine bosses.

China is moving fast to secure strategic commodities in Africa, South America and even Ireland in case of lithium now:

International Lithium: Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium to Raise $81.5 Mln via Private Placement

Now Ganfeng Lithium has the capital to advance its development programs with International Lithium. Once the tax loss selling will be over International Lithium should enjoy better market perception with further advance of Lithium properties in Ireland, Argentina and Canada. Ganfeng Lithium production facilities development shows China's appetite for strategic commodities for electric revolution in order to make transportation and personal mobility still possible after recent pollution scare. http://sufiy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/international-lithium-jiangxi-ganfen...

I met Erik prince a few years ago while I was at blackwater, seemed like a nice guy, and was a celebrity to the people who worked there. At the time I thought it was cool as shit to meet him, like a movie star or something. Not so much now. That being said, the people who trained me had families just like the rest of us. In a true SHTF scenario, these people aren't gonna be protecting rich people or kicking doors in, they are gonna be protecting their own families. I think you guys are a little too paranoid about the black water people. Most of them are ex special forces that realized they could get paid 4 to 5 times as much doing essentially the same thing for black water. I'm not defending everything they did, but they aren't going around bayoneting babies. You would find a good number of oath keepers there as well. That being said, you do not want these guys kicking in your door, cuz holy shit those guys ca shoot. Went through the CQB course for about 3 weeks. Good times

I've just spent the last 12 months in a North African country, and it's obvious to me and the locals I speak to that the clock here is running backwards and will continue to do so for at least the next 3-5 years.

Colonization by white people = bad

Colonization by non-white people = good.

So there's nothing more to say about China colonizing Africa. Nothing to see here - move along, now, move along...
