Martin Armstrong Slams "The Cost Of Socialism" - 206 Million Unemployed
Submitted by Martin Armstrong via ArmstrongEconomics blog,
A United Nation study has reported that about 206 million people are now unemployed.
This is the cost of socialism taxing the rich so there is no job creation with nearly half of that number amounting to youth under 25 years old. The economy on a global scale is terribly weak. This UN annual report released Monday by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) is shocking and politicians cannot see what they are doing to the future.
The future does not look bright at all. The UN is projecting that by 2018 the number of unemployed youth will climb to about 215 million. This type of forecast is simply taking the trend in motion and projecting the same pace forward. There will be an exponential rise after 2015 and this will be a Phase Transition resulting in greater violence and protests all because governments refuse to even consider what their policies have been doing.

"The high office of the President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the American's freedom and before I leave office I must inform the citizen of his plight."
JFK 11/12/1963
Martin, Agree on the view on socialism. But I would say that it's three main culprits:
1. Corporations and politicians working together to prevent competition in areas that are rife for competition (i.e. 1. energy, health, finance) by providing massive subsidies in the following areas (i.e. energy, agriculture, real estate, finance) and by creating regulations that prevent real competition in these areas.
2. The massive taxing of the new rich and middle class primarily because the new rich have alot of money that can be taxed but haven't reached the level where they can have trust funds that allow for it to disappear offshore (or maybe they don't realise that they can) and because the middle class are just stuck since it's easy for the government to go directly after their earnings.
3. Entitlements programs that have no relation to what people can actually pay. If we consider that before entitiements in the US, there used to be mutual aid societies who would help out others of their culture, gender or nationality that was very effecitive in helping people move from dependency to independence and then because of the help (and the low taxes) were able to contribute back to these organisations to help others who cam behind them. Now entitlemens are given that now have nothing to do with the populace desire or ability to actually contribute.
When you combine these things, and in certain countries like the US and UK you can add the utter waste which is the defence industry fighting useless wars, you have the perfect brew for unemployment and a truly unprecidented crisis.
How is it socialism versus overpopulation and greater automation? There just aren't enough jobs for all the people no matter what. Social welfare systems are the answer to excess jobless populations, not the cause.
Ummmmm, is this the Martin Armstrong that was charged with fraud by the SEC and CFTC in the late 90's? If so, maybe we could also get some advice on the global economy from Bernie Madoff.
A UN report? who gives a fuck what those venal, despicable liars think?
armstrong is an unreadable suck up. he needs more prison time.
MOAR GOOBERMINT!!!
MOAR EWWWWNIONS!!!
fixes everything.
How much wealth is needed by the very wealthy who have tax advantages in creating super wealth they cannot spend in their lifetime ?Since you cannot take it with you, in the end a large portion goes to their children which spoils them rotten for many future generations due to trusts etc. Much also goes to charity for purposes of tax avoidance which is a form of socialism, or to government in the form of inheritance tax, also a form of socialism many would argue.
Better to tax very high income earners at a higher rate now but with more incentives and tax breaks for investments in job creating enterprises .
Current tax codes are totally irrational as a result of a corrupt political lobbying system . It is human nature to seek security for one's family but it quickly morphs into family Dynasty aspirations. On a national bases it is called Empire Building
Current tax codes are based on 1930s ideas of employment.
Of course, this is a great BENEFIT when you structure yourself using more modern entities. Which is why the tax code hasn't been scrapped, and most likely won't be within our lifetimes.
In 1940's during WWII highest tax rate was 90 percent reflecting national sacrifice for war effort and patriotism. Now wars are off budget items and probably considered as creating jobs for young while corporations offer large salaries only to top echelon in a global outsourcing environment. It is a new concept of patriotism and shared sacrifice. Shameful !
When someone says - "they" (companies or rich) have billions of dollars and the poor (sometimes employees) don't have anything.
The problem is when you divide what looks like a BIG number up between all the "poor" it doesn't amount to all that much.
Take $7 TRILLION dollars being talked about today and divide it up between the bottom 3.5 billion people in the world and it is only $2,000 each.
They will blow through this in a short time and then they will still be poor.
Buried under the surface of every income inequality solution is - just take it from the rich and give it to the poor.
Problem is that doesn't work. Not sure what does except getting a job - and the last time I looked not many poor folk were hiring.
Who says that money has to be given to each eartling?
Do you have any idea how much money is that? How many infrastructure projects worldwide you could fund with that? How many schools and hospitals you could build?
Who will decide which projects get built?
Give government the cash and corruption will take most of it - they rest will get wasted.
You seem to think that government will only be a force for good and that the government leaders will make the best decisions.
Not how the world works -
Just look at the ACA web site - perfect example of government spening money and gettinbg a large pile of crap in return.
"Take $7 TRILLION dollars being talked about today and divide it up between the bottom 3.5 billion people in the world and it is only $2,000 each.
They will blow through this in a short time and then they will still be poor."
This is total bullshit. You have been fed so much oligarchic propaganda that you are now spewing it back out in an uncontrolled fashion. For half the world's population that amount of money is equivalent to 3 years pay.
Obtaining a home, getting proper farm tools, cultivating land with good seeds, giving their children an education and providing for their families is what most would do with that money. Only in a declining western consumerist culture would you assume that everyone else in the world would also blow the funds on iPhones, McDonalds and KMart throwaway crap.
Give all these people $2,000 and the price of the stuff you want them to buy will increase 100X
You can't throw trillions in purchasing power out into the world and expect prices to stay the same.
What they need is a job - you can never eliminate poverty by giving people handouts.
"Obtaining a home, getting proper farm tools, cultivating land with good seeds, giving their children an education and providing for their families is what most would do with that money."
Uh, sorry, no. They wouldn't do that because they have no idea about the future. Because they have no education.
However, because they have no "STUFF" and don't know that they need "STUFF", they are actually living happy lives in grinding poverty (at least from our perspective).
Been out in the bush in Africa lately? People actually smile and laugh.
OK, that was a gross generalization, but the former British "colonies" are much better off than the others who got gang raped.
I fully agree. The problem is the Blankfeins of the world pay too much taxes, this demotivates them from doing God's work and creating jobs. LOL this article could have been written by MDB.
Wow. I haven't seen the usual posters slamming Armstrong, who is brilliant.
The real message here - unemployed youth is a receipe for War. Get ready the brilliance of "socialist" governance is leading us down the path for War.
Yes, socialism for the upper 0,1%
For the rest hardship daily capitalism of robber barrons.
Socialization of loss, privatization of profit, thats the problem. Nothing to do with socialism or so-called capitalism (capita= head)
Wake the FU. This is plain robbery and murder.
Totally delusional. Show me the rich and corporations who have been paying high taxes over the past 10 years???
They haven't been paying #% for a good while now. There are many structural reasons for high unemployment right now that are frequently posted about on ZH....taxes that are too high on the rich are not one of them. France is making attempts at this, and you can argue about what affect that will have, but to say this has already happened and is the main reason for the disaster the global economy has become is weird.
I don't get MA's logic.
Surely it is the sequestration of national wealth by the untaxed Billionairs of Davos that
has impoverished our societies. Stored wealth is infertile wealth.
Only via taxes and expropriation will that wealth be spread and bear fruit and jobs.
The growth of government both in terms of entitlements as well as bureaucracy, is pivotal to the breakdown of the free market.
The second problem has been that the growth of technology and the accompanying shrinkage of labour required has not been met with an appropriate reduction in work hours to recognize the fact that society does not need to work as long.
The third problem stems from the ability of big capital to close and open factories wherever and whenever they wish, thus subjecting their workforces to immense uncertainty and pressure.
The fourth problem is that society thought it found the perpetual elixir of good times through the use of debt funded consumption which in turn fed malinvestment upon malinvestment like malls in the US and a million surplus homes in Spain.
Finally, the biggest culprit has been low interest rates which enabled so much destructive consumption and malinvestment and destroyed the savings of millions in an effort to prop up the banks.
The author still floats the myth of a "free market" while acknowledging that big companies can buy labor wherever they want. Contradiction?
The rest of the comment is quite perceptive.
This item is a pile of garbage. About the only thing the author seems to be sure of is that it is all government's fault.
This item is a pile of garbage. About the only thing the author seems to be sure of is that it is all government's fault.
Martin is a rabid anti-goldbug... he thinks there is ZERO manipulation of the gold markets... and that all the QE is in no way inflationary. Sharp guy, but a little nutzoid with many holes in his pants... and his opinions... must have been all that buggaring in prison...
Socialism? Hahahaha, you gotta be kidding me. Where? I still have to find it. And "taxing the rich" and "job creators"?? Hahahahaha, where? What an asshole.
This post by Martin Armstrong is pure oligarchic propaganda. The 0.1% aren't interested in creating jobs, because that involves COST and RISK. It involves PAYING workers wages. The 0.1% far prefer the ease of being rentier capitalists. For the 0.1%, destroying American jobs is far more profitable than creating them. Unless the jobs are for IT surveillance professionals and private security forces, of course.
All we have to do for confirmation that socialism destroys jobs is look at Europe along with Obama's statist policies in the US and we have an additional 92 million Americans not working since Obama took office.
So there is valadity to what MA has written.
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2014/01/10/stunning_92_million_americans_not_working
The problem isn't "socialism," but collectivism and the government criminals and their elite puppeteers that institute and rule it.
"The government mathematical identity is (1 * (-1) = -1): 1, you, times -1, government, is -1. Ditto division."
The statistics in this article are grossly understated, while the language used to analyze what are the causes is ridiculous! There is NO such thing as "socialism," given that almost the whole world's public money supply has been taken over by private banks, who applied the methods of organized crime to be able to take over control of the political processes, and all related social institutions, such as the schools, and mass media, so that the vast majority of people are systematically brainwashed to believe in various bullshit "isms." The deeper realities are that human beings operate as robbers in their environment, through organized systems of lies, and that those people who were the best at being dishonest, and backing that up with violence, have dominated those established systems of organized lies, operating organized robberies.
What is happening is due to human ecology being managed through the history of warfare, whose success was based upon deceits, so that the discussion of those facts is as oblique to those facts as possible. There was never any doubt that exponential growth on a finite planet would hit real limits hard and fast. It merely looks like we are hitting those limits harder and faster. There are no genuine solutions to the political economy problems that do not operate within their real context of human ecology. The central core to such ecology is necessarily, by definition, the death controls, or the murder systems, which were organized in the past by militarism, which is the supreme ideology, because it selects for itself to actually be so, due to it being based upon actually doing the death controls ... however, its success was necessarily based upon being deceitful about what it was really doing.
Upon that real basis were built fundamentally fraudulent financial accounting systems, which were also successful to the degree that they were able to get away with denying that they were fundamentally fraudulent. As with the history of warfare in human ecologies before that, the political economy was operated by the people who were the best at being professional liars and immaculate hypocrites regarding how they described what they were doing. The entire world's economic system evolved on top of the history of warfare, so that we ended up with a civilization that operates through the maximum possible deceits and frauds about itself, while those who are the most successful at doing that become the most successful people within those systems.
This article is another contribution to that overall trend. The exponential growth of human activities can not continue on a finite planet. We "need" to evolve human ecologies and industrial ecologies, which operate with the realities of the natural environment. That may be somewhat more possible to do, from a theoretical point of view, except that everything that is actually happening now gets done through systems which were built on top of the history of their success at lying about what they were really doing.
One way or another, bringing more real dynamic equilibria balance into the exponential growth ending is going to primarily be based upon real death controls. Tragically, that almost certainly means that the exponential overshooting will then collapse into chaos. The "money" as debt systems, which were enforced by almost inconceivably corrupt and crazy governments, which have been systematically taken over by the covert application of the methods of organized crime, applied to the political processes, have driven their debt slavery towards generating numbers which have become debt insanities. When that system gets mad enough to cause its own destruction, that will probably cause death insanities, because the real debt controls were always covertly backed up by the real death controls, although that was always done through the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories dominating those processes with the biggest possible lies about what they were really doing, since what they actually did depended upon maintaining the greatest evil deliberate ignorance possible, since those who were most successful within those systems where those who were the best at being professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, since those systems were the historical result of resolving conflicts through warfare, where success depended upon backing up deceits with destruction.
This kind of article above was merely more of that kind of bullshit, which uses understated facts to derive the opposite conclusions to which it should derive. There is not the slightest trace of the kinds of breakthrough to more radical truths, which would be necessary to begin to discuss the basic human ecology problems more forthrightly. We are collectively faced with the runaway contradictions caused by progress in science and technologies, which have nothing like that being allowed to happen in political and social systems, because in order to begin to do that, we would have to face the basic facts about human realities as energy systems, which would reveal how and why society ended up being controlled by lies, backed by violence. That would be a necessary first step in order to understand those real problems, in order to maybe begin to resolve them better.
The central controls were, are, and always will be, the death controls. Those are what made the global money system to be the way it is, and therefore, the way that it created debt slavery, that has driven itself to create conditions of runaway debt insanities. The basic problem is that money is measurement backed by murder, but that that is done through the maximum possible successful deceits and frauds about themselves, which requires enough of the people being conditioned to not understand and to not want to understand those realities. Therefore, the problems with our political economy, and especially it running into its real environmental limits, are driven to be many orders of magnitude worse by the history that enabled the people who were the best at lying about what they were doing to end up becoming the most successful people within those established systems.
All of the various "solutions" being proposed tend to be fragmented pieces of the overall puzzle, in that context where civilization is actually controlled through a fractal process of organized crime, with the governments being the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, because the history of warfare was actually based on the large and larger scale history of the triumphs of the principles and methods of organized crime. That is because the basic way to understand human realities is that they are necessarily always organized systems of lies, operating organized robberies.
The only genuine solutions are to do that better, through a greater use of information, that enables a higher consciousness about doing that. Ironically, when understood that way, the world is rushing towards implementing its real resolutions to its real problems, but is still doing so through the maximum possible deceits and frauds, which means that those are still being explained in terms of the same old-fashioned false fundamental dichotomies, and their related impossible ideals, such as expressed through various bullshit "isms," like "socialism," which tend to be Bizarro Mirror World inversions which operate with deliberate ignorance to describe what they say they are doing, versus what they actually do, as diametrical opposites of each other.
We should be going through profound paradigm shifts in the philosophy of science, which then apply to politics, and especially to militarism, because we are being willy-nilly driven there by the previous paradigm shifts in basic sciences enabling technologies to become trillions of times more powerful and capable than ever before, and the only consistent way to socially and politically cope with that is for the social sciences and political processes to go through similarly profound paradigm shifts. Although that now looks like it would require a series of political miracles, that process will be driven by the facts, that those technologies do exist, and do not fit into the previously existing social systems. Paradigm shifts do not initially change what exists, but only the way that we perceive it, and those paradigm shifts often tend to result in suddenly seeing things actually are the opposite to what we used to see.
After such paradigm shifts, then it becomes gradually possible to change our behaviors, due to seeing the world differently, which then can change the world. Overall, the central question is how to do that with respect to the human death controls, or murder systems, operated through the history of militarism understanding warfare. Since everything else in the political economy was based upon that real human ecology history, there is nothing less than that which might provide some better solutions to the current runaway exponential growth reaching real limits, harder and faster, and therefore, forcing transformations, that we might be able to catalyze better, if enough people understood them better. Primarily, we need to understand death controls differently and to regard them mostly the opposite to the ways that we now mostly regard them. That is going to be forced to happen anyway, as the debt slavery systems' growing magnitudes of debt insanities becoming impossible to keep going. Since the debt controls were always actually backed up by the death controls, the death controls are coming back to the forefront, as the debt controls of the past collapse into chaos, since they have driven themselves towards mad self-destruction, due the paradox of final failure from too much successful fraud, backed up by too much successful deceits, having been able to control and dominate civilization.
The younger you are, the more probable it becomes that, one way or another, you are going to be driven through those transformations. Right now, the effects are hitting the young and the poor the worst. Unless you are going to inherit significant wealth, there is no reasonable future for you within the established systems, since the younger you are, the more you are being lied to, cheated and robbed by the political economy that you were born into. In that sense, some of the understated social facts recited in this article above are correct, however, all the rest of its analysis was merely more of the same old bullshit language, guaranteed to continue to backfire badly.
Outstanding post.
"There is NO such thing as "socialism," given that almost the whole world's public money supply has been taken over by private banks, who applied the methods of organized crime to be able to take over control of the political processes, and all related social institutions, such as the schools, and mass media, so that the vast majority of people are systematically brainwashed to believe in various bullshit "isms."
There is the one "ism" you mention that is found in any system, "militarism". All other systems succumb to it "religiously" with the large propaganda campaigns, e.g. "Honor Our Hero's" w/o describing just exactly what is a hero and what one must do to become "the Hero". People line up to fill the buckets of charlatan charities in order to tithe w/o asking questions.
"Although that now looks like it would require a series of political miracles, that process will be driven by the facts, that those technologies do exist, and do not fit into the previously existing social systems."
As it should. But what are the facts? As massive campaigns are built to obscure them and falsify them in order to allow government focused on playing off the emotions of those who would deny the facts and create delusions in order to confirm their ideology. It matters not what is right or wrong factually. What matters most is what I choose to believe is right or wrong based on.................well, my programming or my ability to profit from perpetuating the lie.
It is and has always been about power and control regardless of the "ism". The "ism's" fail because to many by nature are seduced by their innate nature to seek power and control.
Even the street commando's have their kings.
Indeed, akarc, many people generally do not agree about what are the basic "facts." There is a very strange loop that has taken place whereby militarism was the study of how to best be dishonest, and back that up with violence. Another level up, militarism was a kind of realistic acceptance that the other guys would behave in deceitful ways, and that one has to not trust them, but rather attempt to figure out what levels of lies they may be telling, and whatever might be the real, hidden, plans behind those lies. In a way, the "truth" usually takes regression to a more basic level of physics, where the laws of physics become expressed through violence, as the final test of the degree to which who was tricking whom best before that ... Militarism has that kind of abrupt test, when the physical fighting carries through. However, now that we have weapons of mass destruction, the possible "corrections" could be so extremely sever that we can not fully imagine their magnitude.
In the context of fighting, tricking other people to have the wrong ideas about those facts was cruciallly important. Given how different groups of people tend to be fighting each other, OF COURSE, they could not agree on the "facts" since they were deliberately attempting to fool other people to believe in presuming wrongly about the factual situation. There may be no end to those infinite tunnels of deceits, since people can try to calculate regressive loops, where they expect that the other person may be dishonest, but not be able to be sure that the other person also knows that they are expected to be dishonest, and therefore, be operating higher levels of tricks! As I suggested, the world runs on the principles and methods of organized crime, which operate FRACTALLY, upon every different level. As you say, akarc, "even the street commando's have their kings."
You see in others what you believe in yourself.
"There is NO such thing as "socialism"
oh yes there is!!
"given that almost the whole world's public money supply has been taken over by private banks"
There you go. "Corporatism", aka socialism.
"who applied the methods of organized crime to be able to take over control of the political processes"
= Socialism.
"...and all related social institutions, such as the schools, and mass media"
= Socialism.
"...so that the vast majority of people are systematically brainwashed"
= Socialism.
Socialism is alive and well and living in a town near you. It's become so popular that more and more governments are adopting it.
YOu may wish to read up a bit on "Corporatism". It applies to a broad spectrum of "ism's" and "non-ism's". You did however execute a fine example of confirmation bias and for that I would have upped ya. But then you have way to mu8ch competition.
I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND, smacker, HOW YOU COULD CONFUSE CORPORATISM WITH SOCIALISM!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism
"Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy."
IT IS RIDICULOUS TO ASSERT THAT AMERICA IS ANYTHING REMOTELY LIKE "SOCIALISM!"
America is far more corporatist than socialist.
There is NOT social ownership of the means of the production. There is an oligarchy that controls corporations, while those corporations control the government, in an ouroboros of incorporated robbery, that loops around and around ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatism
"Corporatism is the socio-political organization of a society by major interest groups, or corporate groups, such as agricultural, business, ethnic, labour, military, patronage, or scientific affiliations, on the basis of common interests."
All the various "isms" have tended to be tools used by the core oligarchical plutocracy to advance its agenda. Both fascism and socialism were means for the ruling classes to consolidate their pyramidion position, and overall control over everyone, globally. Both the government, and its controlled opposition, tend to be political puppets whose strings are pulled by the same puppet masters.
For sure, the middle class are being deliberately destroyed. However, it is too superficial to blame "socialism," nor "communism," for doing that. Remember that the international banksters were behind funding both of those ideologies to become socially significant, as well as behind funding fascist movements to become significant.
Anyway, smacker, although I expect it is waste of time to try to argue with you, or that you may not even happen to glance back at this reply in the first place, I will nevertheless copy and paste what I replied in another Zero Hedge article to Quantum Nucleonics:
http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2013-11-06/course-obamacare-exchang...
OF COURSE Obamacare Exchanges Will Be ManipulatedHowever, it is mistaken to call it "socialism."
For an explanation that that label is FALSE:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQtxcKT-u_Y
ObamaCare: What You're Not Being Told
Sir, I have found you an argument; but I am not obliged to find you an understanding.
--- Samuel Johnson, June, 1784,
Obamacare is more fascist plutocracy, than socialism, because it is about the insurance companies being the MIDDLEMEN, that make everything more expensive, while their services are forced upon people by the government. Obamacare is corporatist, NOT socialist!
That is like the government turning over the power of the monetary system to private banks, except this time it is turning over the power over health care to insurance companies. The thing they both have in common is that the IRS is the enforcement arm of the privatization of powers of governments, which were transferred to private corporations.
I REPEAT these definitions, that seem correct to me:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism
"Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatism
"Corporatism is the socio-political organization of a society by major interest groups, or corporate groups, such as agricultural, business, ethnic, labour, military, patronage, or scientific affiliations, on the basis of common interests."
Corporatism, or fascist plutocracy, is a system whereby corporations control the government, for the benefit of the corporations. Its most important form is the existence of the Federal Reserve Board. However, the emergence of Obamacare is a huge step to advance corporatism, by having the government force everyone to go through the MIDDLEMEN, the private insurance companies.
There is NO social ownership of the medical care system, nor the medical means of production, and no other cooperation than to have the IRS be able to force everyone to participate in the private health care insurance systems. There IS that major interest group, which has successfully lobbied to have Obamacare become law.
However, as I explained in my reply above, as well as I repeat was explained in that video I linked above, people who believe Obamacare is "socialism" are political idiots that were tricked to believe in lies. Those who still believe that, after looking more closely, must be particularly adamant political idiots.
There are NO good labels for what actually exists.
About four hours about the history of plutocracy.
http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/power-principle/
The Power Principle
Part 1: Empire
Part 2: Propaganda
Part 3: Apocalypse
Threats from communists, drugs, and terrorists,
were all mostly false flag attacks, to justify the
elites using the powers of "We the People"
to attack Us, to build up their plutocracy.
Of course, since the great majority of people
have been so badly brainwashed, for so long,
to believe in bullshit, and to become sheeple,
most of "the People" are their own enemies.
Always, it is NOT good enough to reveal
what real elites were actually doing to Us,
unless We evolve better ways to do that!
Good solutions must be better human ecology.
Real solutions can NOT be no human ecology!
In Part 1, the segment that impressed me the most was
starts about 1:24, where historian Michael Parenti says
that "fascism" was another tool used by the plutocracy.
Much of politics is the rational use of irrational symbols.
Fascism is an instrument whereby the plutocracy can control.
MURDER SYSTEMS KEEP MONEY SYSTEMS GOING!
THE ABILITIES TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF NOTHING
MAKES THAT PLUTOCRACY THE SUPREME POWER!
The organized lies operate the organized robberies,
which in turn keep those organized lies in business!
Refusals to face those fundamental facts
results in false fundamental dichotomies!
Which then delivers the irrational symbols,
that were rationally used to control others!
Part 2: Propaganda, through around the 20 minute mark,
there is another classic moment of Bizarro Mirror World!
What was stated about the Soviet Union's global ambitions
is what was much more literately true about the banksters!
As will happen again and again, after 9/11
with the war on terrorists, everything that
the governments said about the "terrorists"
applied much more perfectly to themselves!
The ruling elites that are privatizing the planet
are the real international criminal conspiracies!
At 23:43 mark is classic quote from Cicero:
Endless money forms the sinews of war.
HOWEVER, AFTER WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION,
ALL FRAUDULENT MONEY/MURDER SYSTEMS BECAME
MORE & MORE & MORE INSANE THAN EVER BEFORE!
More "triumphs" of the elites in using LIES,
backed by violence, to privatize the planet,
became more & more planetary destruction.
Runaway money/murder systems were too far away
from actual realities to possibly provide saner systems.
Money/murder systems which were necessary
were self-driven to become runaway insanities.
REIFIED RELATIVE SUBTRACTIONS
WERE BASIC TO THESE INSANITIES.
Real problems inherent to the nature of life,
developed runaway militarism, as madness!
NO saner discussions of living within limits
are possible in societies that are so totally
dominated by huge lies about themselves!
In Part 2, at the 40:28 mark, was
EXCELLENT review of the history
of fundamental contradictions.
From racism, to war on drugs, to then war on terrorism,
the need for human ecology and political economy WAS
expressed through one huge lie, after yet another lie!
Nowhere in triumphant lies dominating societies
is there left any room for rational debate of the
need for human ecology & political economy,
fitting inside of real limits of a natural world.
Instead, triumphant bullies' bullshit becomes the
only language that is used, and therefore, all of
the controlled opposition spouts similar bullshit!
"SOCIALISM" IS ANOTHER BULLSHIT LABEL.
The real history was that the same groups of plutocrats funded most of the fascism, socialism and communism that has been promoted to become significant during the history of the 20th Century. To blame any of those isms, or to assert that some of the existing systems are those, is mistaken, since one is being tricked by the plutocrats, which are organized crime, whose greatest achievement was to get their own counterfeiting of the public money supply legalized.
Indeed, the problem returns us to greater paradoxes:
like paradoxes of how and why we ended up with the
actual human ecology and political economy, which
exists now, as the "triumphs" of runaway deceits
that were driving us all to become too insane!
Of course, Part 2: Propaganda, reviews the increasing
ownership and/or control of the mass media, especially
after World War II, when many of those people, who
had been directly involved in propaganda for WWII,
moved directly into domestic mass media industry.
There was a continuous development of both
more concentrated ownership of mass media,
AND more covert infiltration of them as well.
Nothing new ... just more overwhelming proof
that North Americans became the victims of
the best brainwashing that money could buy.
All North Americans were sold war and everything else
by those who had perfected doing that professionally!
The degree to which the ownership, or control,
of the mass media by the plutocracy, and the
"secret police" they covertly controlled too,
dominated North Americans neared total!
The degree of "success" by staging events
on 9/11/2001, to then start greater wars,
demonstrated problems driving insanity.
Too bad, so sad... that was too successful,
since it relentlessly achieves driving people
to be more & more insane, to believe lies!
Astronomically amplified triumphant bullshit,
promoted by bullies, DOES control society!
Nothing new, but for its AMPLIFICATIONS!
More and better science and technologies,
mostly and overwhelmingly being applied
to brainwash people to believe in LIES!
UNDERSTANDING OBAMACARE FITS IN THAT!
If you believe that Obamacare is "socialist" then you are being tricked to believe in misrepresentations. All of the various labels, such as socialism or communism, etc., are mistaken over-simplications. What is really happening is that the government is organized crime, controlled by the best organized criminals. Thus, Obamacare is merely the latest, apparently over-the-top, manifestation of legalized lies, backed up by legalized violence. Of course, Obamacare came from professional liars and immaculate hypocrites. However, the deeper reasons for that are due to the history of warfare, where success in war depended upon deceits, and where spies were the most important soldiers. The source of our problems are the profound paradox that some human ecology must necessarily exist, and it does. However, the actual murder systems we have were developed by those who were the best at deceits becoming the victors, who then approved their bullshit version of history. Therefore, Obamacare is simply more and more deceits and frauds, spinning around faster and faster, to the point where it may fly apart.
That is NOT socialism. That is the triumph of runaway organized crime, using every possible lie and trick in the book, including pretending that it is socialist. However, the necessarily deeper truths are to NOT then promote the impossible ideals that there should be no death controls, and should be no organized crime, since that only enables those who are the best at deceitfully doing that to continue to actually do it. Politics is medicine writ large. In this case, politics evolving through the paradoxes of being successful in the conflicts of warfare is what made the powers of sovereign states, which got taken over by the best organized gangs of criminals, who promote themselves benefiting from more crimes by promoting the best professional liars and hypocrites to work for them. Obamacare fits inside that context. Obamacare does NOT fit inside the ideals of either socialism or capitalism. It is simply FALSE to say that Obamacare is socialism! It is obviously just as FALSE to say that Obamacare is in any way the operation of a free market, other than the "free market" in covert organized crime controlling government.
SIMILARLY, smacker, in general it is simply FALSE to describe America as being anything more that superficially, or cosmetically "socialist" in general. AMERICA HAS ACTUALLY BEEN TAKEN OVER BY ORGANIZED CRIME, IN THE FORM OF CORPORATIONS, SUCH AS THE BIGGEST BANKS, AND THOSE CORPORATIONS THAT GREW UP AROUND THE POWER OF THE PRIVATE BANKS TO MAKE THE PUBLIC MONEY SUPPLY OUT OF NOTHING AS DEBTS! All of the so-called "socialism" is trivial window dressing that overall context. A previous comment here already pointed out that the main real trend is socialization of the losses, while the profits are privatized. THAT is NOT "socialism."
Yes, ACA is 'socialist' and insurance companies are our bestest friends!!!
Whose logos adorn the tallest buildings in our cities? Still banks and insurance companies? So much discussion of bankers, so little of insurers...

206 million? Yeah... maybe in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico combined.
Anyone interested in the truth concerning Socialism in the USA? How about the so called income tax or the multitude of other excises withheld from your paycheck?
What I have to offer is NOT old rehashed taxprotester bullshit. I have read the majority of case law regarding those arguments and I stand on the side of the courts. How many times have they told us, DONT bring that constitution into my courtroom. The courts are right, the constitution is IRRELEVENT!!
Its ALL voluntary and the government knows it. You have all heard the phrase "voluntary compliance" from the mouth of the IRS? How can something be voluntary if compliance is mandatory? A paradox? No On its face that claim seems absurd. Once you understand the system. Once you understand the foundational basis of the entire entitlement system. How it was created. The entire legal framework from a purely constitutional/judicial perspective. Then it will make perfect logical sense. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING hinges on the Social Security Act. Its the foundational basis of ALL entitlements as an exercise of the federal taxing power that required STATE / Federal Cooperation. Justice Roberts was absolutely correct in the Obama Care decision.
As for the government, there is madness in their methods. Yet, there is an absolute method in their madness. 30 years and over 60,000 hours of research. I'm sitting on all of it and so far, from what I can see, nobody gives a damn. Everyone seems to believe that all the issues regarding the constitutionality of the "system" has already been addressed. Wrong. There are serious questions of law that have not been addressed. And until they are, the federal government can withhold 100% of everything you earn and leave you with nothing. The power is near absolute. The courts can not and will not interfere as your Rights of CONTRACT and PROPERTY have beeen WAIVED in exchange for what the courts would classify as extra ordinary protections paid for with money from the public treasury. What? You thought you had some sort of fundamental right to public money or the protections they provide?? And just WHERE in the constitution would you find such a right??
Socialism could be stopped dead in its tracks. All it would take is a pile of legal fees and a bright attorney that was well versed in the federal rules of civil procedure.
No there is no collusion and there is no agreement between Wall Street, industrialists, and Chinese tycoons to outsource jobs in developed western societies to China so they could all make money, lots of money. And the US military is there to protect us from communists and terrorists and has no role in ensuring that this global racket is protected at US taxpayers expense. No, sir.
"This is the cost of socialism taxing the rich so there is no job creation"
Meanwhile the helicopters continue to shuttle the ultra rich and powerful of the world and their political dew boys in and out of the armed compound so that they may drink, dine, dance and be merry away from the poor workers from which they profit so handsomely.
Buffett of course won't be there as he is busy with his scheme to give away a billion dollars just because......well it might be fun.
Dem damned ol socialists. Give me a freaking break!
I've got my clipboard, text books
Lead me to the station

Slip kid, slip kid, second generation
And I'm a soldier at thirteen
Slip kid, slip kid, realization
There's no easy way to be free
No easy way to be free
It's a hard, hard world
I left my doctor's prescription bungalow behind me
I left the door ajar
I left my vacuum flask
Full of hot tea and sugar
Left the keys right in my car
Slip kid, slip kid, second generation
Only half way up the tree
Slip kid, slip kid, I'm a relation
I'm a soldier at sixty-three
No easy way to be free
Slip kid, slip kid
Keep away old man, you won't fool me
You and your history won't rule me
You might have been a fighter, but admit you failed
I'm not affected by your blackmail
You won't blackmail me
I don't support Marxism or Socialism for the 1%. If you manufacture in China, you locate 51% there, a lesson the US should learn.
BS article
problem is not socialism, or capitalism, or communism, or whatever ... in fact there is no problem ... the world is exactly the way it was for the last 10,000 years ... the top 0.001% control the wealth and therefore the government and army to keep the rest in check in service of those top 0.001%, the masters ... what has changed is that in the old days you became top 0.001% by bloodline or by military coup, now all you need is to create social-network web-site that funnel data to NSA ...
I'm glad Armstrong is out of jail and all, but now it's time for him to shut up.
In the U.S., we've just learned that 95% of all gains since the Great Recession have accrued to the top 1% of the population. And unless Armstrong is arguing that that has all been taxed away, then there's been a tremendous boost in the wealth of the richest among us. And yet, they've created no jobs. So far, everything about the "socialist" Obama regime has been anti-Robin Hood - direct assets from the poor and give to the rich. I'm not sure how less socialist in actual practice the US can become. And still, no job creation. Maybe if we gave 110% of the post-recession gains to the already super wealthy, then we'd see job gains. And if that doesn't work, we could always try 120%. And if that doesn't work...
Joblessness, hunger, lack education and skills development which will likely lead to unrest and armed conflict in many parts of the world...Who cares about all that? The important issue is legalizing drugs.
Thank you.
This is not Socialism, we are living in Fascism. Private ownership of business, but government control of what busines does.
Our govenment is Fascist, pure and simple
Fascism, yes. But, are you sure you didn't mean 'business control of what government does'?
The job creation, by American Business, was done in China. A communist country with generous American Government subsidies. Are tatoos are to blame for the unemployment problem or is it socialism?
Dear Mr. Armstong. If 'taxing the rich so there is no job creation' is the cause of our current malaise, please explain why corporate tax rates, and capital gains tax rates have been trending down now for a good number of years?
My guess is that you are partially correct, however, it is not the 1% which is being taxed excessively so there is no job creation, after all, they are the incumbents of the current power structure, and they are only interested in maintaining their current status within that power structure, and they are not interested in innovating or entrepreneurship, but rather in the squashing of potential new competition.
No, it is the 2% to 99% which are being taxed excessively, and because this group ARE intereseted in innovation/entrepreneurship, due to their desire to improve their lot in life, it is the squashing of this group via excessive taxation, which reduces innovation and entrepreneurship, and thus reduces job creation.
In short, incumbents to the current power structure, the 1%, 0.1% and 0.01%, which includes corporations and HNW families/individuals are paying some of the lowest tax rates ever, since the majority of this group does not pay income tax.
it is the 2% to 99% group, and only those within this group that pays income tax, who are the ones being negatively affected by your thesis of 'taxing the rich so there is no job creation'. Call it socialism, facism, whatever you like, but it is clear that governments all around the world, legislate to protect the 1% at the expense of everyone else, and at the expense of any growth in real job creation, due to the squashing of the 2%-99% who earn the majority of their money as income, rather than as profits or capital gains.
"This is the cost of CORPORATE CAPITALISM (...): there is no job creation"
Fixed.
