Markets Are Falling, Which Means It's Time For The US To Bomb A Sovereign Nation
After the worst week for the market in over a year, the US knows the drill. Must. Distract. Population. And if a drunk-driving, prepubescent Miley Cyrus Canadian lookalike on a work visa won't do the trick, then by all means resort to ye olde faithful - bombing the feces out of some "independent" nation. In this case Somalia. CNN reports that earlier today, the US conducted a missile strike in Southern Somalia. The target: a "senior leader" affiliated with al Qaeda and Al-Shabaab, al Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia. Supposedly this is the Al Qaeda that the US isn't officially funding and supporting in Qatar's desperate and ongoing attempt to push its pipeline under Syria.
The U.S. military conducted an airstrike in southern Somalia on Sunday against a suspected militant leader, a U.S. military official told CNN.
The target was described by the official as a "senior leader" affiliated with al Qaeda and Al-Shabaab, al Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia.
The United States has not yet been able to determine whether the target was killed, the official said.
Last October, the elite U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six aborted a pre-dawn raid in southern Somalia to capture Al-Shabaab leader Ikrima after an intense firefight prevented them from reliably taking him alive, a senior U.S. official told CNN at the time.
In a second raid that same weekend, members of the U.S. Army Delta Force captured Abu Anas al Libi, an al Qaeda operative wanted for his alleged role in the deadly 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa, during an operation in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
The U.S. military official said Sunday's strike involved missiles. No U.S. troops were on the ground.
Al-Shabaab, designated a terrorist organization by the United States, has a relationship with al Qaeda that goes back several years. In 2012, the two groups effectively merged, said CNN national security analyst Peter Bergen.
And this is happening after the market has dropped a mere 4% from all time highs. Wait until we enter a bear market: tactical nukes will be going off left and right...

I thought we were (under a Liberal administration run by a black man) bombing brown people in order to take the attention off the HSBC revelations.
Hope & Change.
This is going to be a very interesting Chinese New Year.
Wonder what the cash demand will look like.
From where I'm sitting, it's the supply that looks to be the problem...
As long as the ATM still spits green and that green buys silver and gold, I'm happy.
forgive me for saying it, but this total BS ... who cares about somalia or a "leader" in the penninsula ..give me a break
There is no sovereign nation left to bomb. So, round up locals to FEMA camps.
What? Nottin' else left to bomb for Taxpayer's sake? ;-)
How 'bout Jamie's private island? Or that Virgin-Air dude's? And don't just bomb them 'lil private islands, nuke the shtoop out of them! I think?... ;-)
Looney
If the markets keep crashing, killing far-away brown people won't be enough.
They're gonna need some dead white people closer to home.
Be careful if you live in Serbia, Libya, Iraq, etc...
To top it off, China's Coast Guard is invading Japan:

News Headline Summary
Japan says 3 China coast guard vessels enter its waters, according to Japanese coast guard

TIS, that is sensationalization right there. A coast guard invasion.
But, global powder kegs seem ready for some mad fuse-lighter....
And no, it will not be the North Korean Song, there are no fat ladies there...

It was snark-sationalism.
But shit's about to get real for Yellen thanks to the Ben Bernanke Boomerang, yo.
Doesn't Alqueda know there is a war going on over there? Staight from the Larry Kudlow archives.
"Time For The US To Bomb A Sovereign Nation"
Make that "a sovereign DISARMED nation". For quite some time now Uncle Sammy has only attacked countries that certainly couldn't defend themselves.
The US used to be the Lion King in the savanna, now they're more like the ugly hyena, looking for and chasing the old and sick harmless prey (Iraq Lybia Serbia).
C'mon Barack show some guts : try to kick Putin's ass!!

W are seeing the "muckers" in our society right now, as in the mall shooting that just occured.
I should of headline my comment as FEMA camp readings and movies.
Yours is a classic outside the FEMA camp list, the wider 'big camp' of our now elite managed, farmed, souls as consumers, peoples, masses, statistical digits...
Fahrenhight 451, if written today. Code 404
We're in the not so brave new world.
Clock Work Orange, here already.
A book I'd like to add, Court Of The Red Czar.
And a positive film( too glum the entire subject ) is Brazil.
Yes, "Brazil" definitely is worth watching!
Re "a senior leader affiliated with Al Quaeda": Sounds a bit harsh. Couldn't they just demote him? Or offer him a nice redundancy package?
Or we could just try Senator McCain for treason.
"who cares about somalia or a "leader" in the penninsula"
Isn't that the point of the atricle? To show how they create distractions?
Contrary to popular belief..., some people need killin'...
Yeah I was just going to edit that but the edit function was locked out on replies. My bad, hangover dislexya.
e: Wonder if they have enough RNB M. Can they supply the average seasonal retail floats plus bank redemptions.
This is starting to remind me of mid-2008 when ZH posters were front-running the news in the comments - i.e. China halting transfers.
The comments are sometimes as filling and often times more filling than the article.
Any post that good is bound to get downvoted at least once.
double post - <sorry>
War or not, just take you money out of the Banking System for Goat’s sake! Every $1,000 withdrawn hits them with a 30:1, 50:1, or 70:1 bang. Leverage is a bitch, ain’t it? Use YOUR cash to buy AU/AG, Bitcoin, Pimpcoin, or just keep it in your mattress, but get it out of the Banking System, Goat damn it!
By the way, does anybody know whether making a bank deposit in the form of a Stool Sample is legal or not? Oh, and is there a size restriction on THAT deposit? ;-)
Looney
I think you're ok as long as you're transparent. Be obvious, deposit well over 10,000 lbs at a time. Don't try structuring your poop deposits. They'll catch on.
Your going to need insurance on that.
only if you use the drive-thru
Overnight banking and don't put your name on it. Watch for the security cams. You shouldn't have a problem
Don’t give them ideas or we will get in to an explosive stool derivatives crisis.
When is some sovereign nation going to bomb the mother fucking lying hypocrit in the white house?
You'd do a lot for world diplomacy if you didn't ask foreigners to do it.
About the same time the Fed's shareholders are revealed.
After the nuke proof bunkers are built
Well, if the surveillance balloon (excuse me, 1/2 billion dollar aerostat) over Baltimore is any indication... someone might be considering it.
Look the other way!
I can't keep up. Don't we like Al Queda? I saw a picture of Johnny McCain hanging with them in Syria. I thought we were pro Al Queda these days. Maybe somebody missed the memo
long Somalia Elephant gold and silver coins !!
It's got to be pretty confusing for the Al CIAda folks. The poor bastards in Somalia are probably trying to figure out how to get up to Syria so they can get paid by the U.S. instead of bombed by them.

Horrific data there. But I have a question for you. Do you think it's ok to punish a collection of people for crimes committed by an individual?
How about Compton? They haven't been bombed lately.
That's because they already look like they've been bombed. Baghdad would be a step up...
Fuck me to tears! Can't we just, you know, stop stirring shit up even for a short time?
Fuck you, BHO!
I guess all the drone operators get Sundays off
Even the NeoCons yawn at drone strikes these days. They had to pull out Seal Team Six to make the nightly news and create the proper distraction.
4 cylinder, 150mph drone= can't afford pilots, bases, fuel
Seal Team Six was murdered 3 mo after HBL in 2011 according to families of the deceased. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/9/kuhner-who-betrayed-navy-...

Yeah. Right. I'm holding my breath.
They ought to put the CFTC on it.
When it comes to hard-hitting investigation, they're positively .... gold.
Yes they were. Leaving that aside, the absolute media silence on that attack, given it's scope and who it was, tells you a lot, I think, about how controlled the media is. It should have, just naturally, been a big story, even if it didn't smell bad, which it surely did.
Your junker is an ignorant cunt.
Much easier to bomb al Qaeda that IS working for you as at least you know where they are and are not wasting bombs.

What kind of popcorn did everyone else get?
Been saving this bottle of aged scotch for about 6 years now for something good.
Just debating if I want to put my hammock indoors or outdoors when i finally kick back and relax to this.
Just bought a fresh bottle. Looks like now would be a good time to crack it open.

And yes now is a great time!
Just popped a bottle of Kilbeggan...interestingly reminds me of what we will all be doing very soon...killing and begging
Kilbeggan. A very nice drop at a very nice price.
Thanks for posting. That looks bad alright. China smells like trouble right now. Didn't they just post over 7% growth? Does the Fed call off the taper already? Wasn't it all fixed?
Black Jewel popcorn... everything else is crap
Boulder Popcorn Company - Ryder's Red is my fave - organic, heirloom, and actually tastes like popped corn.
good stuff... I grew up in the area where most of Black Jewel's growers are and have made their popcorn a staple pretty much my whole life... mostly sourced from Amish farms, made many a friend going directly to source... it's the real deal...
East of the Rockies I would say indoors but here in NorCal it was in the high 70's, a good day for an outdoor hammock. Yesterday morning when I saw that Fairbanks, Alaska was seven degrees warmer than New Orleans I had to chuckle.
"Norcal" Spare me the yuppie realtor speak bud, all California will soon resemble mid saudi arabian desert, minus the attractive scenery.
Speaking as an Alaskan in (temporary) exile, I have to say that your post gave me a throbbing woody.
Just sayin'.

The US doesn't need any excuse to bomb, they will do it then find the 'questions' and 'reasons' later!
How about just the Saudi Royal family? Their all imbeciles anyway...
10,000 targets would need Skynet in control.
If you bomb the Saudi Royals you might never find out where all of Fort Knox's gold is......
Didn't we pay them for oil with gold under the table in exchange for openly supporting the 'petro dollar'? US pays in gold whiole the Saudis asl all others for $US
Shouldn't they just drop Bieber on Somalia? Just sayin'...

Really? ZH talks about Somalia? What about israel who just bombed Syria again? Or the clash between Azerbaijan and Armenia that killed 39 soldiers? They are on the verge of full scale war here and Russia/US/Turkey support different sides... It could start WW3 yet its on nobodys radar...
why should it be?
the people who matter write the news, they dont learn it from the newspapers or the radars ...
world war 3 will not start because of Azerbaijan and Armenia's fucktarded and endless mini-war.

Yep, time for the Fed to go to its "dangerous world" mode - For our own good of course.

It's not a real war until John McCain's crooked face shows up to endorse the killings.
He's there. He just can't wave his arms to draw your attention to him.
That was cold. Fuck it, he deserves it.
He's my state senator. The AZ republican party is so disgusted with him that first the largest county-level party organization censured him -- which they made light of.
Now the state-level Republican party has censured him as well. The entrenched TPTB members like John Kyl are calling them "wacky."
So in other words, they're insulting the entire party organization that got the fuckers elected. Truly allegiance to no one other than TPTB and other perma-graft members of the govenment. He's more suppotive of Feinstein than his own state.
So yeah, he deserves it. I can only hope the next time he runs he's shown the door in a very embarrasing way.
I look forward to the day I watch Prezident Zero, and his kabinet lying in state. Top down, everyone.
"Busy giddy minds with foreign quarrels" to distract them from domestic issues:
"And all my friends, which thou must make thy friends,
Have but their stings and teeth newly ta'en out;
By whose fell working I was first advanc'd,
And by whose power I well might lodge a fear
To be again displac'd; which to avoid,
I cut them off; and had a purpose now
To lead out many to the Holy Land,
Lest rest and lying still might make them look
Too near unto my state. Therefore, my Harry,
Be it thy course to busy giddy minds
With foreign quarrels, that action, hence borne out,
May waste the memory of the former days."

i was speaking to silverstein the twin towers insurance winner and he agrees.
he said you nose tony we jewish people have suffered so much we have had such an unatural abnormal high amount of loss of life and victim hood over the years.
even today we suffer tony we suffer because the arab lives and mocks us with his oil transit routes from english bp maps.
this oil belongs to the jewish children of isaac not arab ali tony.
do not fret tony false flags and frank kitson pseudo gang plots with built in problem reaction solution outcomes are comin.
and most important of all silverstein is insurance covered.
The Joos have been through so much -the Chosen people need our cash to fulfill their destiny - the least we can do is give Silverstein a few billion to help alleviate his suffering.
"The U.S. military official said Sunday's strike involved missiles. No U.S. troops were on the ground"...
And why this is ultimately the epitaph for U.S. and Israel hegemony in the Region as they continue to squander countless funds down a black hole to bribes the likes of Karzai and Maliki to control the masses...
Unlike Soviet Russia and America of 1945 "vintage" you can't control the situation through air campaigns alone and I should know as I have a father and two uncles who were career Navy pilots and told the tale of our colossal "hose down" failure that was Vietnam.
Bottom line folks if you can't control the ground you don't control shit! And we don't control "shit" in the Middle East right now and haven't since 2002. We can put as many barricades around air bases and embassies as we wish and make it the most feudal monstrosity in history.
Just ask Israel how well it's been working out for them!
P.S.
T.W.
I love what you write!
We could not win in Viet Nam because China was involved and we were not allowed to cross into China. The Viet Cong could cross into china for a safe haven.
The real season for the war was to increase the national debt so the international banker could make more money on the interest on the national debt.
Communism was funded by the international bankers so they would have an ideology to use to get nations to go to war. They finance both sides and collect interest on the national debt of both nations.
Yep. Then of course the now famous engagement between Richard Nixon and Chairman Mao in making concession to "give the American ranch away" for the most productive and cheapest labor on the face of the earth while our boysz were still face down in the mud fighting it for God and Country... What did the Jew Boy Henry Kissinger call the men and women in the U.S. military? "Animals"?!!!
That's about as good a synopsis of that history lesson that we never learned from. But the dynamics this time around is going to be a whole lot different than the big one that "funded both sides" in 1941 and they better be prepared to take out lots more insurance money for where and how it will all shake out!
To put it another way? I don't think I'd want to be anyone from the Trilateral Commission in a Southern Hemisphere bunker swilling vintage Bollinger even with the most trusted of servants that money can buy when they decided tyo throw the switch for the next one!
the insurance was required by the lenders for the acquisition financing and the proceeds went to pay off the debt. just saying
@laosuwan; jerusalem post is that way...................>
Are you talking about the loan that had an indemnity clause guarantee 'baked into it' that if anything other than the building "itself" caused the collapse they would collect oh... over a $1 billion?
Yeah. Smart cheesepope that Silverstein.
And didn't he take out that insurance policy with that nice profitable clause in the contract less than a few months before the terrorists attacked???
Just sayin!
If only a plucky bunch of intelligence agents or "rogue" Special Ops were to get hold of Mr. Silverstein and encourage him to talk about the strange events and coincidences of 9/11. I bet we'd learn a lot of new and interesting information which the news would refuse to cover or reference in any significant way.
They blamed it on the Muslims for good reasons.

I started reading ZH about 8 months ago, and at that time you guys got me into full prep for SHTF mode, and it didn't happen. So we waited.
Then the conversation changed a bit...to how long these fuckers can keep this house of cards standing, and we agreed that they can do it much longer.....but don't take your eye off the ball.
So I relaxed a bit, but always with one eye on the coming reset, thinking it was still years away.
And here we are.
8 months later
Ready
Still not sure
But ready
I hope.
I, and many others, understand the economics behind where we were in 2007/8 and what they have and are doing ever since. As a result, we are utterly shocked in how they have kept things a float the past 6 years. Not only that, but expanding their maleficence as well.
Sort of like watching a juggling high-wire act where they just keep piling on more balls and obstacle while the high-wire's anchorages are being chopped at.
From the political side, NDAA 2012 was the most telling that they know that things will one day fall. They are preparing for the camps and killing that all criminal governments resort to when things come unwound.\
Keep on reading and preparing.

Well it took over 4 centuries for the Roman Empire to get sacked. Maybe 8 months is a bit hasty? Even the 40 or so years since the acceleration of the decline is a short time especially when considering that USA is an anomaly in 10,000 years of civilizations and that the source of the anomalous quality would probably stave off the collapse for a longer period than the Roman Empire.
Or, maybe the two are not really all that comparable: Rome was sacked by barbarians outside the gate. USA is an inside job...
(...yeah, Roman Empire started as an inside job too.)
did you buy gold at 1900 like me, too?
I can remember reading stuff published back in the 1970s by people like Skoussen telling you to move to the mountains, build bunkers, buy vegetable protein and freeze dried foods. Now his son is writing books about the same thing and the son is an old man.
even in shakespeare getting out of the city to prepare for the coming collapse is a common theme.
I guess if you predict something long enough eventually it will come to pass. that is why the website says, "on a long enough timeline...."
There were not 7+ billion people drinking up limited resources like no tomorrow in Shakespeare's day. That might just make it different this time. It all depends on when the cheap energy runs out.

The American citizens hate the Washington D.C. globalists worse than any nation. Why don't the treasonous banksters save fuel costs and bomb America?
Good. Next, let get those krytrons back from Israel.

Oh, along with the plutonium they stole. Especially if its still in the US awaiting use for a nice false flag to encourage a war weary public to fight another large m.e. war for Israel's {perceived} benefit....
It's not, for the US, primarily about a Qatari pipeline (and look at a map - such a pipeline has to go through Iraq, currently a clusterfuck, and ultimately could avoid Syria *entirely* if such a pipeline were truly deemed important enough). ZH loves the Qatari pipeline angle, but it's inaccurate, at best, and at worst, deliberately misleading.
It's very much also about weakening Russia, weakening Iran, preventing an Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline, and about the long-planned, and ongoing effort to weaken and break-up Israel's neighbors. Chaos is the goal. The mostly Jewish, exclusively ultra-Zionist neocons who fabricated the evidence to lie us into Iraq didn't do it for oil, or for the petrodollar - they did it for Israel. And that's the same reason all those former "liberals" switched to "conservatism."
The political energy [and $] driving US foreign policy comes from the same neoconservative forces that lied us into Iraq. While oil and the petrodollar played a role there as well, the claim that it was "about oil" apart from being too simple {to the point of inaccuracy} has served to provide cover to the rationales of those doing the lobbying, fundraising, and newspaper opinion pieces.
Another case where I have to wonder "why the junk" - and if it's a downvote because they think I'm wrong/inaccurate, or, as seems more likely, they know I'm right and don't like the word being spread about the ongoing and dangerous role of the Israel Firster crowd in the U.S. government and media.
Oh well, back to Sunday night television.
I bet I can find something involving Nazis or Muslim terrorists by the time I finish my beer....
Up "^'d" on all of these, but I will disagree that if the plan was always to sow chaos and nothing else -just look at the results in the last 12 years.
If General Wesley Clark's admission in 2007 was accurate and I believe it was, the U.S. was supposed to control 7 Countries in the Region within 5 years. It didn't happen and it will never happen because sowing chaos when you control absolutely nothing, no oil -most of which is going to China anyway it's abundantly clear how fucked up the entire enterprise has gotten the U.S. Government in the ROI camp!
Guess what ladies and gents? The whizz kids in Washington, London and Tel Aviv fucked up big time and the gravy train came and went mid-2006 and it ain't comin back home to roost. Best part of all is we don't have the funds either for the "boots" or the infrastructure to maintain the numbers that are left. But then of course there is always the "other option" and I do believe these guys are that fucked up that if they don't get what they thought they were going to get on the investment they are bleeding out the ass on now -they may just use it.
Spoken like a true Zionist Jew. If I can't have it nobody else is going to get it!
Which is why when you start seeing a steady stream of WWII documenteries on the History Channel about the Holocaust with violins playing in the background you know they are getting ready to pull another big event.
Well, we never had the conventional means to control Iraq entirely, and people who understood the artificial nature of the Arab states knew that long years of sectarian warfare would follow. The paranoid and absolutely disgusting and bloody Oded Yinon plan, and the neocon {read - American Zionist} position papers that followed, to include "A Clean Break" very much contemplated Balkanization.
This strain of thinking explicitly called for breaking up Iraq into 3 states, and for breaking Syria up, as well. So I have to respectfully, but strongly disagree with you for the two basic reasons: 1] written position papers explicitly call for Balkanization and 2] the artificial nature of these states {and perfusion of weapons} made chaos inevitable. This chaos certainly helps arms manufacturers, but it also weakens Iran, kills a lot of Muslims, an weakens Israel's neighbors.
As additional, if circumstancial evidence, one might note comments by Israeli military officials explicitly noting that the chaos in Syria was actually good for Israel, and this includes the involvement of Hezbollah and spill-over into Lebanon -which is also supposed to be fractured. Henry K. has come out and said it would be the best outcome {for whom??}.
There was also the matter of the fabricated evidence, some of which came from Israel, regarding purported Syrian government use of chemical weapons (used, in fact, by the foreign-backed Al Nusra front) which even U.S. intelligence quietly disregarded.
Note that if you really are worried about pipelines, a bunch of warring mini states isn't the best way to get them built and keep them unexploded. I do think that Afghanistan largely started off in order to get a pipeline built - but the U.S. never had nearly enough troops in country to secure any such construction effort, and the turn to Iraq should tell you that neither Al Qaeda nor a pipeline was the highest priority in the Bush administration, which was absolutely lousy with Israel-Firsters in positions of great power.
Of course, these aren't the only actors, oil and gas are factors, Sunni v. Shia is a factor, the petrodollar is a factor - but breaking up and weakening Israel's neighbors is also a factor - a dominant factor for the neocons. This isn't "let's blame Israel or "the Jews" for everything" conspiracy theorizing...it's a small cabal of right-wing Likudnik/Shas Zionists and their useful idiot allies, and they've written multiple papers about this goal. The chaos won't last forever, but it will be very profitable while it does, it will weaken Iran, and at the end of the day an already regionally dominant Israel will truly be able to invade it's neighbors and annex parts of Lebanon and perhaps Syria and Egypt and Jordan at will, without any meaningful opposition.
I'm not claiming natural gas isn't part of the deal, it's discussed at length in one of the links above, but note that the US is not a prime beneficiary. And it doesn't involve piping gas from Qatar.
Qatari gas would compete with Israel's Leviathan find... and while Syria and Palestine "should" have a piece of this... one suspects... they won't, or will at Iran-under-the-Shah-like terms.
Chaos in Syria is part of this plan, not an unforseen consequence or unwanted side effect.
“Lebanon’s total dissolution into five provinces serves as a precendent for the entire Arab world including Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula and is already following that track. The dissolution of Syria and Iraq later on into ethnically or religiously unqiue areas such as in Lebanon, is Israel’s primary target on the Eastern front in the long run, while the dissolution of the military power of those states serves as the primary short term target. Syria will fall apart, in accordance with its ethnic and religious structure, into several states such as in present day Lebanon, so that there will be a Shi’ite Alawi state along its coast, a Sunni state in the Aleppo area, another Sunni state in Damascus hostile to its northern neighbor, and the Druzes who will set up a state, maybe even in our Golan, and certainly in the Hauran and in northern Jordan.” - “A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties”, by Oded Yinon (pdf)
p.s. I didn't junk you.
