The "Independent" Mainstream Media Does It Again
A month ago, none other than Conan O'Brien exposed the un-independent PR-sponsored propaganda-fest that is the local news mainstream media in America. Well, it's happened again... this time proclaiming "Don't worry... be Happy."
As Liberty Blitzkrieg's Mike Krieger reminds, we all know the mainstream media is a joke but sometimes its inherent idiocy can be best highlighted with a little humor...

I am fully convinced that, as bad as the garbage is coming over the networks, the worst part of watching T.V. is not so much what you are watching, but what constructive thing(s) you could be doing for yourself with that wasted time.

All of Chomsky's ideas are based on a highly selective culling of the evidence. Consider the network that is outright intended as propaganda: PBS - who watches that, besides little old ladies who've been marinating in the Kool-Aid all their lives?
Then you have the media that are staffed by the products of the academic diversity-conformity complex, outfits like NYT and MSNBC. They are faithfully on-message, and also going bankrupt, because the people formerly known as the audience have defected. Some to FoxNews, some to websites like ZeroHedge.
Now, feel free to claim that Fox and CNN are both engaged in "manufacturing consent". Since the whole BS concept is Chomsky's idea, I'll defer to his authoritative opinion on the topic.
