Man Breaks Into Police Station, Beats Up, Hospitalizes Cops

Tyler Durden's picture

It's not that the US has a scarcity of bizarre everyday stories - it does not. It is just that sometimes you encounter something so surreal, warped and ridiculous, that even the stock "market" makes sense by comparison. Such as this.

From WNEP of Scranton.

A man is locked up in Luzerne County after breaking into city hall in Pittston. Police said Max Deangelo of Blakeslee smashed one of the glass doors to get into city hall. The Pittston Police Department is also located in the building.

Deangelo is also accused of kicking officers in the chest and face as they tried to arrest him. Deangelo and an officer were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators have not said why Deangelo broke into the building.

Police said he is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, and more charges.

And now, back to the regularly scheduled, televised recovery.

Following this event, the next time any of us talk to a cop, he'll look like robocop.

Why the fuck didn't the officers break his skull open with a baton or zap the fucking shit outta him with tasers and then shoot him full of holes like they're supposed to!!?

Fucking duh!

Maybe they were scared of him.  Cops usually only assault people who can't defend themselves, most of the time using SWAT in the early morning while they are sleeping in their beds.  They aren't used to people going to where they work and beating the crap out of them.

"Cops usually only assault people who can't defend themselves"

Very true.  Like Kelly Thomas, an unarmed man, who was literally beaten to death by Fullerton, CA cops.  You can find the video on YouTube.  The beating goes on for nearly half an hour despite pleas by the victim for cops to stop.  "Medical records show that bones in his face were broken and he choked on his own blood. The coroner concluded that compression of the thorax made it impossible for Thomas to breathe normally and deprived his brain of oxygen."

"Officer" Manuel Ramos, is overheard saying, "See these fists?  They're getting ready to f*ck you up." as put on latex gloves before administering the beating.  Ramos was found not guilty of using excessive force by an Orange Co. CA jury.  Last weekend, however, the patrons of a Denny's restaurant were not so charitable.  Several patrons complained to management; so much so that the murderer was forced to leave.

Shunning and ostracism are incredibly powerful but peaceful tools.  Use them liberally against such heroes.

Not so "Bad" when somebody is really out to kick some ass. I bet most of them ran away.

Have you seen the cops that work the city halls of America..., usually teetering on retirement, or some 3oo lb female that fills a quota catagory. Definately shouldn't be expected to defend herself or others in a snap-decision environment.

That sounds a lot riskier than a roadside vaginal search on a MILF going 60 in a 55 mph zone.

OR....was this just the "story" they're spreading for why this ZH patriot was detained????

Trust NO ONE!

possibly the gentleman had grown disenchanted with the justice system of luzerne county, pa. generally, given the "kids for cash" scandal. the film just came out:

Things that go bump's picture

On February 7, in Eden Prairie, MN a whole gang of police shot and killed a man and woman after a high speed chase in a stolen car down hwy 212. Details were quite fuzzy at first though there was some question of the man having a gun and holding the woman. From the sketchy details, I gathered that they got themselves all pumped full of adrenalin and she was simply collateral damage. Very little has come out of the police until yesterday, but apparently they now have their story straight and their asses covered - TA DA! They state he had a knife and continued to approach them after they ordered him to drop it. When they shot him dead, they insist the woman, a mother of 2 young children, implausible as it sounds, picked up the knife and continued to approach them, even after being ordered to drop it and seeing her boyfriend shot dead before her eyes. That is their story and they're sticking to it.

Things that go bump's picture

Yah, that's the one. They thought she was a hostage. I guess they had to shoot her to save her.

I love the facebook comments where people are demanding they shoot perps in the legs instead of "to kill".  Yet, then also admit in the same post that they refuse to use a firearm (when confronted about how rediculous the concept is).  Its like how can your opinion to be taken seriously if you have no practical experience with said situation.

Also, just to play devils advocate here.  Have you ever dealt with a methed out person?  I can say I have had two personal experiences, one where I was told that I owed them money and another punched me in the face with no provacation.  Neither of these people I knew, seemed like transients.  Happened in Minneapolis.  They are literally insane, so I do wonder if it IS possible that she picked up the knife?

Nice job, counselor.  But I still say "guilty."

Things that go bump's picture

Treatment of this incident by the press was very toned down. The whole scenario smells like a construct made to follow SOP. If they had been in the right it wouldn't have taken a week to hear from them. After all, they must have video from the cameras on the cop cars. I think they killed an unarmed woman in the first barrage and I'm not confident the man even showed them a knife.

This is one of my personal favorites from Canada, showing a big bruiser of a cop pushing a woman disabled with CP to the ground because she couldn't get out of his way fast enough.

You mean like this 80 year old man who the cops gunned down in his own bed after a bullshit drug tip:

They said he was stumbling down the hallway with a gun, but there was a huge bloodstain in the bed.  Their clownish lies fell apart.  I'm sure these murders will face justice after a thorough internal investigation.  The investigation will be long and thorough enough that when it's time for the ceremonial wrist-slap and name suppression, everyone will have forgotten about the shootup.  Like the 8 cops who fired 103 shots at 2 women who apparently looked like Dorner (huge and bald) while they were in a truck that looked nothing like Dorner's.  Only two hits.  In the back.  She survived despite being 71 years old.  Old ladies and golden retrievers everywhere will hope the cops' "training" duties don't involve target practice.

It was LA County Sheriff's Department.

lakecity55's picture

They should face Citizen Justice or a Star Chamber like in that Dirty Harry movie.

Most of these cocksucking cops are nowadays thugs; different from my days in the constabulary.

Too many today are on that growth hormone, and have control issues. You are very likely to get shot as not. I am serious. DO NOT aggravate them in any way. If they actually threaten your life, go ahead and kill them and take your chance with a jury. The feds are loading these guys up with BS and heavy weapons.

You can no longer trust the police in America.  Hedge accordingly.

New World Chaos's picture

Large-scale jury nullification for self-defense against thug cops would require the average American to grow both a brain AND a spine.  We're a long way from that.  And once the cops have got you, they will have other ways of getting revenge.  So yeah, if they are going to kill you anyway, why not just hide a Claymore mine above your door?  You could rig it to only go off if your door is busted down, with an override switch that is also rigged in to the smoke detector.  Bars on the windows, disguised as white cross-framing.  This setup works against crimminals on all sides of the Law.  If you're lucky, you might even get to steal a SWATmobile for your bugout.  Don't forget to shoot the OnStar.

I'm glad to see a former cop has seen through the brainwashing.  Do you know what fraction of cops are in various stages of awakening?  Do you think any of them would turn on the real crimminals when the time comes?  How about if their pensions were worthless?

jeff montanye's picture

imo horseshit like "law and order", where cops break the law all the time but only to nab the "guilty", is part of this widely-held sheeple illusion as well.

It's Law By Southpark. Say the Magic Words and it's OK.

Hunting by Southpark Law: "He's coming right for us!"

Police action by Southpark Law: "I was afraid for my life."

Judicial justification by Southpark Law: "The actions were within department guidelines."

We are all Southpark now.

An anonymous informant? NSA? Parallel construction?

Expect more beatings until moral improves.

Haha, yeah, that was a good one. Also, the guy in his pajamas shooting up a speed camera van.

Next step is some guy will walk in a police station and put hot rounds through some mofos.

It's getting more and more serious as the years (months) pass.

Some years back the FBI rounded up a militia. Their plan was to kill a cop. Then, at the public funeral, hit as many of the rest of them as they could. You know they come from all over the state dressed in full regalia for those things.

lakecity55's picture

You are referring to the Hutaree, set up by Uncle Fed. The idea to kill a cop and attack the funeral came from-- you guessed it--the Federal Agent who infiltrated the group. The group were like, "Uh, say, I don't know about that."

The charges against them were dropped, except for a trumped-up weapons charge.

The entire case was created by the Fedz out of whole cloth.

Let this be a warning: Bath House and his 'Good Buddies' will try this again and again. Do not fall for it!!!

Things that go bump's picture

So they created the incident. I seem to recall that they have done that several times since, as well, but now the idea is out there in the wild.
