This Is How Ukrainian Protesters Attack An Armored Personnel Carrier

Tyler Durden's picture

Watch as sparks fly between a Ukrainian military APC, possibly the same one we revealed earlier, as it gets into some blazingly close encounters with the Kiev protesters. It is unclear who won however it is quite clear that at this point the proxy war in Ukraine between Russia/Gazprom and the European Union/US State Dept/Saudi/Qatar can be upgraded to "hot."

And the death and injury toll, which is rising by the hour:

  • 6 policemen dead
  • 6 protestors dead
  • Police HQ in Ternopli on fire
  • Police HQ in Lviv occupied
  • More than 150 injuries

Finally this:

  • KLITSCHKO ARRIVES AT YANUKOVYCH’S OFFICE FOR TALKS: REUTERS

In short: things have spiraled out of control, and the only possible outcome is another new all time high in the Spoos overnight.

The difference is that Lenin was trying to keep it under wraps by killing off millions of people, but Klitch shows it off with pride. What a fuckin' cunt!

The firebombing took place in the 1980's. It was of the radioactive variety.

The CHERNOYBL River flows south, and fills the KIEV Reservoir (which appears to supply water for Kiev and other areas in The Ukraine). Chernoybl, of course, IS in The Ukraine.

http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=chernoybl+river+map&qs=n&form=QBIR&p...

I assume, of course, that everyone is current on the local history here.

I didn't know that Yalta was on the southern coast, though. That's where Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill divied the world up in '44, wasn't it?

These people (all of them) are kind of stupid, fighting over the despoiled land like they are. WHAT; I suppose they have plans to re-start the reactor?

FUCK Obama, FUCK Putin, and FUCK the corporatocracy behind them BOTH that is desroying (LITERALLY!) every square mile of this EARTH! If they really want this irradiated land, I bet they are already preparing the NEXT move in to FUKUSHIMA! They are Fucking IDIOTS...

Here is one way for the protesters to gain the upper hand.

Go to the police officers homes and burn them down. Do the same to the politicians.

The cops can't be everywhere so if the crowd disperses and attacks various places that are more important to these cops than anything else, it would force the cops to divide up where they will be outnumbered in at least at some locations where they can have done to them what they are doing to the people.

Fighting the cops in a central location plays into the hands of the cops who are better trained and equipped.

I dare say, greet them in the early AM as they walk out the door MAFIA style.

The way to make then realize, they are vastly outnumbered.

If and when this begins stateside, I sincerely hope Sherrifs perform as designed.

Sherrifs are the only elected officers, by the people.

We are their duty, not their target.

Quaint, but as I say, not up to date. They need real clear thinking to realize that Putin; whatever he is; is not Stalin; and AND NATO and the US are not peaceful fun loving peace bunnies. But this may be difficult for them to get. The big hint was France bombing Libya in the name of human rights.; as a NATO "peace" objective, of course.

Bankrupt and corrupt Ukrainian government paying (using bailout funds from Kremlin) for pro-government (and indirectly pro-Kremlin) rallies

KIEV, Ukraine — Several times a week, in spite of being unemployed, construction worker Sergey Meleshko starts his day at 4 a.m.

With dozens of other residents of Vatutino, a small town in central Ukraine, the 44-year-old boards a rickety bus and takes the five-hour ride to Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. He then marches around the city center shouting slogans and holding signs in support of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

After about six hours, he says he receives 200 Ukrainian hryvnia, or around $24, boards the bus again and goes home.

Distorted Russian media reports on Kiev protests anger Ukrainians

When Vladimir Putin, Russian president, picked Dmitry Kiselev on Monday to head a new international news service, the television host’s brief was to tell the world the truth about Russia.

But Mr Kiselev’s performance on Ukraine has prompted criticism that he is spearheading a push to transform news reporting into propaganda.

Last time Kiev had protests, Putin killed democracy in Russia.

Putin has ordered a propagandist makeover of State TV RIA Novosti to broadcast Goebbels-like propaganda lies 24-7.

RIA Novosti is the largest "news" (propaganda lies) agency in Russia. It operates under the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media. In December 2013, Putin appointed Dmitry Kiselev to be the president of RIA Novosti and Russia's chief propagandist.

Russia's Chief Propagandist

Even by the standards of Soviet television, the Russia Channel has been churning out propaganda that would have made their Soviet predecessors blush.

Let me give you a real dichotomy. Freedom is good and self serving governments are bad...all of them, anywhere. Governments are virtually all self serving and you can just put them on a scale from the most repressive like N. Korea to pluralistic socialists like the West, including the USSA.

Some of you are too smart by half. This is an ugly uncontrolled struggle between people who know oppression first hand and those who enabled it. This is actually exactly the same as the vigilantes (who should be called "home militia") in Mexico. It is average people who have had enough of their corrupt governments that are covertly and sometimes overtly oppressive.

I wish them well in their struggle and hope they succeed. Let the APC's burn.

They're some of the finest people in the world; and I really, really hope they can get through this without too much damage done; you go read about what happened there when the Nazi invaders made themselves un-popular in WW11 and you'll really have your hair stand on end. The Panzer Division was supposed to roll over them; after all they were a dis-armed civil population; long before the Soviet Military got it's shit together enough to arrive there. but that didn't work. So how do you fight SS Storm troopers when you're a dis-armed civilian population? You go steal the heavy machine guns from the Storm troopers and then use them against them. This is a very difficult way to make a living.

Why not call a national strike instead and just shut them down? Maybe its not as dramatic as the sort of protest suggested here, but that way everybody is safe in their homes where they will have to come and get people individually and with a certain risk to the persons of the police and/or military if they want them. Put that many protestors in the environs of DC all grouped together and they would be sitting ducks. I imagine the government would want to teach an object lesson in that case in order to school the rest of the population on the cost of such behavior.

The problem with a national strike is that everybody who actually has a job and works for a living is living paycheck to paycheck and can't afford to take a day off.

The other 75% of the country has every day off and likes the way shit is going.

Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for the greater good. I think a national strike would bring the government to heel more quickly and with less violence than protests or riots, actions that they have been preparing for and have trained for for years and will actually welcome. A massive protest in DC is bootless and frankly plays right into their hands and they will answer it with the sort of savagery few are prepared to face. If you're there you will face it anyway. Google the bonus army from the depression to see how such challenges are answered in the US, historically in every case. A bloodbath would also serve to cow the rest of the country and ensure it will be a long time before anyone can put together that much muscle again. It gives them the opportunity to declare martial law. Its what they want. Foolish to do what they want; do what they don't want, and take an action that serves the needs of the people and has a better chance of achieving constructive aims.

How about this -- next election walk into the voting booth and write "No Consent" on your ballot. Big bold letters. Tender it and walk out...

Better than voting for Tweedle-Dum or Tweedle-Dee from the red & blue twin party. If enough folks do it, might just mean something...

Have the police managed to restrict, localize and control this riot in one area or is it spread out in several places?

It would be interesting if there were riots in several cities. I'm not sure the police could control that without unleashing massive killing of citizens.

Does anybody know if/when the local police wake up and decide not to brutalize their own citizens, friends and relatives? Is there a tipping point for the cops?

If the police used their weapons, the street would be cleared in a few seconds.  But then they will have lost the PR war.  That's why they are running around like silly fools with their shields and batons.  If the PR war is lost, the regime may fall.  The modern guerilla fighter who fights open battles in the streets is fighting for the cameras.  He is living in a fantasy world of cops and soldiers with sticks.  Take the cameras away, and the fight would be over.  Any guerilla still in sight would be shredded by automatic weapon fire.  Be realistic.  In a real war against a ruthless military state, you fight in darkness and silence.
