Ron Paul: "Ukraine Is Their Business, Not Ours"

Tyler Durden's picture

"The American people are very leery of getting involved in another squabble in some other country," warns Ron Paul following the breakdown in the truce in Ukraine and President Obama's drawing of more red-lines. In this succinct interview with FOX, the former congressman sums it up perfectly, "That’s their business, and it certainly isn’t ours," he said. "We’ve tried it for too long, and the American people are sick and tired of it, and we’re also out of money." Indeed, but the Keynesians must be getting excited...

"the further we stay away from there, the better..."

“I would be willing to wager most of the people in the Ukraine would like to see the United States stay out, and they’d like to see the Russians stay out.”

Ron Paul, as usual, is right.  We should stay out of the Ukraine.  While what is going on there is indeed terrible, our meddling would just make things worse.

The USA cannot bethe world's policeman.  The world does not want us anyway.  We should just mind our own business.

We can lead by example, not by interfering.

allow me to cut through the BS and paraphrase RP:

"The American people have no fucking clue that they are getting involved in another squabble in some other country," warns Ron Paul……

"We’ve tried it for too long, and the American people are sick and tired of it, and we’re also out of money and the brilliant American people will re-elect 94% of the people in Washington."

Out of money? US still reserve currency I thought? As if Americans care about Ukraine, don't even know where it is.

As long as gas price stabilizes, that's all that matters. US gov seems to have a handle on that with latin america (Mexico, Maduro etc.).

Unconfirmed reports that some of the top officials and their families have been leaving Kiev. Journalist Hanna Babynets from independent Hromadske TV reported this from Kiev's Zhulyany Airport: "Three planes have taken off in the past five minutes. It's very likely that they are carrying cash: suitcases have been unloaded under guard from armoured vans usually used to transport cash... scheduled flights have been suspended, the airport administration says."

Putin will not allow NATO or the US right on his borders.  You can bet that would be a real line in the sand that he would actually do something over.  We should stay the fuck out of that shit.  I would say that we could have a role as neutral mediators, but you know there's no way the DC cocksuckers would ever allow themselves to be neutral.

You need to dismiss the idea of impeachment. First of all they don't have the votes and is therefore folly. Secondly, there is no way in HELL that they are going to impeach "the first African American president." It would not happen even if the repukes did have the majority, so you might as well put that thought out of your head.

Ron

You need to cut it short with the mouth "pieces of shit" bought and paid for by the Jew down under like Cavuto and raise the most pertinent question

"After 13 years of this and the fact that it's ruined everything this Country stood for most important among them the perception of "the rule of law" and a once stable currency, what in God's name are the people at the State Department and CIA doing"?

Is the only "rule of law" and more importantly the only thing they obey stuffed in their wallet and purse?  And if this is our only God it will end all of us if we don't stop what we're doing in terms of our hege-manical reach in interfering in the state and affairs of others as we are witnessing now unfold in our efforts to destabilize yet another sovereign government that has a neighbor that is our equal on many levels militarily.

Unfortunately (for much of the world) it has come to depend upon the USA to police the Ruskies. The ROW is disarmed and ready for anyone with weapons (supplied by USA or the Ruskies) to take over.

In a perfect world the people would be armed and governments would behave. As the USA withdraws from it's role as world policeman due to budgetary issues it will take the ROW a while to adjust.

Right now much of the world still counts on the USA to continue to fight off the Putins of the world and their rapaceous grasping. It appears we are beginning to disappoint. We have not handled the dollar properly and now we and the ROW will become aware of that in  a away that is more than academic. As the USA falters in its role as global cop the rest of 'em will have to resume their efforts at independent self protection. Hopefully without too much slaughter.

Seems to me you have that backwards. Putin is no angel but he cleaned up Russias Jewish problem and Russia is running her own show. On the other hand the USA is very much an unaware Jewish sock puppet creating global havoc and needs Putins Russia to keep them in some sort of check (i.e. Syria). China is also aware of the US neocon takeover problem.

This all has to happen as it is a precurser to greater conflict to come:

Matthew 24:6-9  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.  (7)  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.  (8)  But all these things are the beginning of travail.  (9)  Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.

This sole purpose of this life is to seperate those who choose to hate from the hated.

This will not sit well with many of you ZH headers.

However, FDR had this same isolationist situation in 1940, pre PH.

1956 when the Hungarian Rev threw the f'g russians out the world did zippy do, nada, 00, zilch and consquently there was the Berlin Wall, and the cold war. I know that the Suez crisis was there to address. And there was a nuclear russia etc, still Hungary could have gone neutral like Austria and the iron curtain would've had a hole in it.

I do not know what to do with Ukraine. I know that all decisions and no decisions have consequences. There is not a shred of strategy left in US foreign policy. It about time to strap something on but to call for non intervention is making RP look like a miserable wretch.

It might help if we start being honest about spheres of influence and deal with reality.

America jumping into the fray in Ukraine is about like Russia jumping in to a fray in Mexico.  What do you think is going to happen?  North Korea keeps proving over and over that nations with nuclear weapons can simply tell everyone else to fuck off.

Just as in Syria, where I and others said long before Obama drew his dumb line in the sand that Russia would see to the preservation of their puppet Assad, we have no real leverage either place......and the public IS NOT ON BOARD, thank goodness.  Too bad the public was not paying attention to what we did to Kadaffy Duck before we totally screwed up Libya.

Is it sad?  Is it tragic? Sure it is.  Put your finger on most places on a globe, and you won't usually have to move it far to find more saddness and tragedy.  Ukraine is in a bad place, a place not of our making, and it's not for us to ride to the "rescue".  The best solution there is to split the country.  Otherwise, Mother Russia will prevail, no matter how many new lines in the sand America draws.

Reality, Bitchez......deal with it.

I thought Stephen Lendman eloqently expressed it, ...

Its International Affairs Committee chairman Mikhail Margelov called ongoing violence stage-managed.

"(M)ilitants dealt with law enforcers' attacks...skillfully," he said. "There is an evident organized nature behind the fighting, he added.

Rioters "not only occupy state offices...but storm police wards and dismantle (special police unit) Berkut(s)."

Everything ongoing was carefully orchestrated. It's a Washington  manipulated operation. It's similar to what's happening in Syria.

At issue is regime change. It's attempting a violent coup d'etat. Events remain fluid. Washington doesn't initiate violence to quit.

Expect no easy end of conflict. Perhaps things will get worse before  improving. Maybe they'll spin entirely out-of-control.

Imperial ruthlessness operates this way. It's longstanding US policy. It involves ravaging and destroying one country after another.

It's the American way. Advancing its imperium matters most. So is making the world safe for corporate plunderers.

It's carving countries up for profit. It's looting their resources. It's exploiting ordinary people mercilessly. It's inflicting unspeakable human misery.

Obama exceeds the worst of his predecessors. Rapaciousness has no limits on his watch.

Exactly, the US, EU and Russia need to leave these poor people alone to decide how they want to run their own country.  Only then will they have a chance at erradicating the corruption and brutality.  Otherwise, it will circle down the drain into a hyperviolent hell.  Then one day, those really pissed off and heavily armed chickens will come to roost on the real perpetrators.

"the Keynesians must be getting excited..."

YES! Any excuses to make more "money" out of nothing, as debts, gets those who can legally do that excited!  The basic structure of the social pyramid system we are in is DEBT SLAVERY BACKED BY WARS BASED ON DECEITS.

War is a racket, which is the harvest of the banksters. They deliberately create wars out of nothing, in order to have more excuses to advance their agenda. The "war on (some) drugs" was a racket, started with lies, to advance the interests of the fascist plutocracy, by building a fascist police state. The "war on terror" was similar, although orders of magnitude worse! The more money that is created out of nothing to fight perpetual wars that can never be won, the more the social polarization tips towards favouring the few pyramidion people who are nearer the source of being able to make the public "money" supply out of nothing, as debts.

The bigger problem in the background is that the Russians, through immense suffering, leaving serious permanent scars, were able to throw off some of the domination of the international banksters, that were jerking the Russians' chains so harshly, throughout the 20th Century. Russia has a publicly owned central bank, and the battle lines being drawn up around the world primarily pit the countries with publicly owned central banks against the countries with privately owned central banks. (There are some unique exceptions, like Canada, which theoretically has a publicly owned central bank, but which actually acts like a privately owned central bank, by always obeying the globalized systems' orders.)

For a while, the main historical events have been efforts to wipe out the regimes in countries which did not have central banks, that were not integrated into the globalized systems of the international banksters. That process is now building towards an apparent battle royal between countries dominated by the international banksters, that have privatized central banks, against countries which are partially integrated into the global systems, but which still have functioning central banks under some significant degree of public control by the countries that they operate within.

What is happening in the Ukraine are local examples of how the international banksters are attempting to influence political events in order to consolidate their control over the world, by more completely globalizing the systems which enable them to control the whole world's money supply, which would enable them to control the whole world's natural resources. Due to the ever more obvious real natural limits to those resources, the banksters' globalized financial systems, based on the frauds of privatized fiat "money" made out of nothing, as debts, as the supreme expression of their political power, are becoming rougher and rougher. The Ukraine is the latest example of what happens when the international banksters work to influence events to advance their overall agenda.

Since everything is mediated through Huge Lies, the people caught up in these processes almost have no chance to negotiate any better resolutions to their problems. These are all runaway social insanities. There are no good reasons to believe that these kinds of problems will ever get better within our lifetime. It is practically impossible to have any rational public debates, because the vast majority of people do not know the basic social facts.

The degree of the domination of most of the world's countries by the political and social systems set up by the international banksters during the previous few Centuries has created deeply entrenched systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, throughout all NATO countries, as in the EU. However, despite the large degree of success in the past that the international banksters had in subjugating places like Russian and China, their degree of dominance is not completely adequate for their overall global agenda.

In that context, where the government of the USA is already almost totally controlled by politicians who are the banksters' puppets, while the masses of American muppets do not know that, and they have been too successfully conditioned to not want to know, the government of the USA is intervening all around the world to advance the agenda of the international banksters, despite how horrible the consequences are for the vast majority of the American people, while even worse for the countries that the American government intervened in.

As usual, in that context, Ron Paul is one of the few well-known voices crying in the wilderness (but who only promotes impossible ideals as his suggested "solutions" to those problems.) Inside the real context, in which the international banksters are already collectively a run away group of trillionaire mass murderers, there are no politically possible practical solutions to current political problems. One may only watch and wait, while trying to understand better what is actually going on. However, the whole world is so totally dominated by Huge Lies, backed by Lots of Violence, in which context the globalizing electronic money, backed by atomic bombs, is the foremost example, that no reasonable grounds can be found to base any ameliorations upon.

Guys like Ron Paul get some token attention from the mass media, but his positions are merely more of the controlled oppositions' point of view. Since the vast majority of Americans do not understand their own social facts, they are even less able to understand the social facts in foreign countries. Rather, they will continue to be controlled by a government dominated by the interests of the international banksters, which systems are such that the vast majority of Americans could not possibly approach a better understanding of, especially since the only "alternative" views that most of them will ever encounter are such as those presented in the context of impossible ideals by guys like Ron Paul.

Here is what should be done.  Run this place like a household and take care of the big stuff first.

1. Eliminate central bank

2. Enforce laws on the books for leaders/oath of office/constitution.  Call treason/treason and treat it accordingly.

I cant figure out why basement is full of sewage!  Oh, my waste line has been broken for 100 years.

we love our wars

war

war on drugs

war on gangs

war on poverty

war on the poor

war on the rich

war on education (led to the establishment of public school, run by the feds)

war on privacy

war on terror

war on guns

war on entrepreneurs

war on travel by air

war on oil

war on homeless

war on inflation

war on deflation

war on the middle class (the only one we are winning)

every war we have going leads to an increase in the basis for the war, which makes every war endless.

When we can't find enough others to fight us we bomb and drone them for fun.  Then we fight ourselves.

America, the war is best, war is endless club.
