I feel surprisingly relaxed about this so far MsC., the US-EU sanctions are going to escalate it though so Russia will do some sanctioning as well, and they either have a big meeting and decide on an agreed way forward to sort this out, or shit will then get real. In the mean time Kiev finances and banks kaput. Virtually all armed forces are abandoning Kiev at this point, so who will really fight?
I do have to laugh at the psychology underpinning it all. I call it "precipice fatigue" one gets tired of always being on the edge, so you eventually relax because there is nothing else to do the precipice is always there. If you watch the news close enough it is all crisis, all the time. It's those nukes that make me pause. And I feel guilty about being a member of the empire. Pro russia candidates were elected (were they the woman who was jailed for money laundering or the fleeing guy)
And this could have kept for a long time.
Ukrainian people did not vote right and when this happens, 'americans' get people to pay for their votes.
So 'americans' stepped up their game and unleashed the nazi hordes on the power, fully knowing that these nazis would provide what is needed: hatred toward the russians.
First, an ethnical cleansing must be performed so that elections delivered the candidates wished by 'americans'. Now in the west of Ukraine, Russians are hunting down on the streets, beaten or threatened to death.
'Americans' have a long experience in ethnical cleansing so it suits.
'Americans' think long term. Their open alliance with Nazis is not a desesperate move but a well thought plan.
The ukrainian president, the one that suited the 'american' wishes, despite his position of power, was unable to find a spouse. 'Americans' provided him with one: a US American whose parents were born in Ukraine, who was known to be close to the nazi factions in Ukraine. She has a background of serving in the US administration in the humanitarian sector or something. It is quite the habit of 'americans' to name people with peculiar ideologies in position of humanitarian tasks.

The self-proclaimed government in Kiev has appointed two of Ukraine’s richest men to govern large industrial regions in the defiant east. One of the reasons for the Maidan protest was the influence the rich have on politics in the country.
The appointments of new governors of Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk Regions are among 18 made on Sunday by Kiev, which is struggling to consolidate power after the coup which ousted President Yanukovich last month.
The newly-appointed Dnepropetrovsk governor is Igor Kolomoysky, Ukraine’s third-wealthiest man, with an estimated fortune of $2.4 billion. He co-owns the informal commercial group Privat, which includes Ukraine’s largest bank Privatbank, which Kolomoysky heads, as well as assets in the oil, ferroalloys and food industries, agriculture and transport.
A former ally of Yulia Tymoshenko, Kolomoysky reportedly had a falling out with her and refused to finance her election campaign in 2010, which the ex-prime minister subsequently lost to Yanukovich. Kolomoysky was reported to be a principal sponsor of the UDAR party, which is one of the three fueling the street campaign to oust Yanukovich. Kolomoysky has a DUAL Ukrainian-Israeli citizenship and controls his business empire from Switzerland.
The new governor of Donetsk Region is Sergey Taruta, who is estimated to worth around $2 billion, putting him among the top-10 wealthiest people in Ukraine. He heads ISD, one of the biggest mining and smelting companies in the world, and also own Donetsk-based Metallurg Football Club.
