Ukraine's Prime Minister Speaks

Tyler Durden's picture

Ukraine's acting PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk speaks. Highlights below:

  • UKRAINE TO FULFILL ALL IMF REQUIREMENTS, PREMIER SAYS - like Greece?
  • UKRAINE PM SAYS BELIEVES RUSSIAN TROOPS WON'T INVADE E. UKRAINE - because they are there already?
  • UKRAINE PM SEEKS TO INCREASE RESERVES TO EASE FX FLUCTUATIONS - "Whatever it takes", even printing dollars
  • UKRAINE PM SAYS NAFTOGAZ SHOULD BE PRIVATIZED - Ukraine oligarchs delighted by this development
  • UKRAINE PM SAYS NEW GOVERNMENT HAS NO INTENTION OF NATIONALISING PRIVATE COMPANIES" - Ukraine oligarchs even more delighted by this development

And finally, why all the above was irrelevant:

  • UKRAINE PM SAYS RUSSIA REFUSES TO HOLD BILATERAL UKRAINE TALKS

Oh well, as long as it fools those USDJPY ramp algos if only for a few minutes.

I think the gold bug community of ZH can give this guy or his counterpart, the thief of Moscow, a big five for making lazy, crazy gold now wake up with an enormous hard on !

When Oligarchs play for Ukraine's future on the roulette table there are some unforseen consequences.

I wonder what a Balaclava cake costs today in Moscow, in honour of those brave, "true" russians.

Kerry will have to eat his Kiev kebob all stale from last week's victory junket and paled in comparison by the Balaclava fest of Sevastopol partying.

Meanwhile in Rio its carnival time.

BTW... Russian PM Medvedev has given a go-ahead for building the bridge over the Strait of Kerch, permanently linking Crimea with Russia. It’s interesting to see how fast them Russkies can handle THEIR “shovel-ready-infrastructure” projects…  ;-)

In Ukraine, right now have no any legitimate prime minister. And the legitimate government in Ukraine have no now. And no legitimate parliament also.
In Ukraine right now have only criminals rebel group - the impostors who have come to power through unconstitutional, undemocratic way. All this criminal rebels who call themselves until as "ministers" and "prosecutors" will eventually be arrested and prosecuted. All of them will be tried for grave crimes against the foundations of government - an armed coup.

Putin, if he was any smarter, would simply change the fx reserves into gold and silver reserves. It would make merkel and obama obsolete in short time.

He is ACTING Prime Minister.  Not the actual prime minister of Ukraine.  As a leader of the caretaker government, he should be focusing on holding a national election soon.  They should not be making fate-altering decisions for the country.

I thought that there may have been a some during and after the Syria debacle but I remain hopeful that they will be seen for the scamsters that they are.

Putin is not in awe, or in debt, to the banksters, the multinationals nor the military industrial complex so he really doesn't need them.

JCB - your boy Putin is about to get his economic ass handed to him.

He did not think this through completely, he can win the war in Ukraine/Crimea but he will lose a lot more with the crash of the ruble.

Trillions for a couple hundred billion is a bad deal.

Have you not noticed most exporting countries have been trying desparately to weaken their currencies?  It's not like Russia has a huge foreign-currency-denominated debt.  So, a weaker ruble might even be a plus for them.

It is a game of diminishing returns, a fine balance that can get away from a country and destroy their economy.

It really is a game of limbo, how low can you go until you fall on your ass and when you do you lose more than you gained.

I don't know about that.  Putin's isn't my homie, so much as I'll always point out the hypocrisy of people who bash only Putin while letting the Obama's and Camerons and Blairs off the hook.

Just seems like selective outrage against the one guy who limited the power and influence of oligarchs who, in coordinated fashion, looted Russia's wealth under and after Yeltsin.

But I do know Ukraine is about to be looted by the oligarchs and IMF.

If you are implying that I am an Obama/Cameron/Blair type guy you are badly mistaken.

They are leftist wankers standing on the shoulders of capitalists achievements.

I will always take freedom over a communist like Putin or 0bama, granted the US has corrupted capitalism into a barely recognizable country which we are not proud of. Our country has fallen somewhere around 48 places in the scale of corruption. Our leftist leaders have all joined hands in leading us towards the pillars of communism and the prison it brings with it.

The Ukraine was being looted by a communist sympathizer and now will be looted by Putin and his buddies.

No matter the belief structure, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Without true freedom of speech and freedom of the press a country will always disintegrate into a leftist hellhole. Some deeper than others.

Thank God the terrorists (sorry I meant freedom fighters) are serious about returning the power to the people. First they got rid of Yanukovich, since he was such a rich and corrupt bastard. Then the new government in Kiev has just appointed two new governors to manage the eastern portions of Ukraine, which those bad Russians are occupied illegally. One is named Igor Kolomoysky, who just happens to be Ukraine's third richest Oligarth, holds dual Ukraine-Israel passports (who would have guessed it) and lives in Switzerland. The other is named Sergey Tartuta. He is only the tenth richest Ukrainian, and apparently still lives at least some of the time in his country while managing a local football club.

Now we know why John Fairy and John Mcinsane are headed to Ukraine without delay. They want their piece of the action.

If someone wrote a soap opera about events in Ukraine, Hollywood would not buy it because who would believe it.
