Hello HillaryCare: ObamaCare Deadline Extended Beyond Obama's Term
In what is becoming an epic embarrassment, the WSJ reports that the Obama administration announced today that consumers can keep insurance plans that don't comply with the federal health law for another two years, pushing a potential firestorm over cancellations and broken promises that "you can keep your health plan". As The Hill adds, the unprecedented move will protect vulnerable Democrats in the midterm elections by staving off a wave of cancellation notices and for some consumers, rather stunningly, Obamacare will not be in place for all Americans when President Obama leaves office. Sickeningly, the administration explicitly gave cover to 13 vulnerable Democratic lawmakers by saying the extension was developed in “close consultation” with those members.

Previously, some consumers could keep insurance plans that didn't comply with the 2010 Affordable Care Act until roughly the end of this year, as long as their state regulators and insurance company allowed it. Now, consumers will have up to an additional two years to do so, putting their plans in place until roughly 2016.
But the farce gets worse (Via The Hill),
The policy also means that one of the key features of the Affordable Care Act — minimum healthcare benefit requirements — will not be in place for all Americans when President Obama leaves office.
The administration's spin...
Senior administration officials insisted that the change will not substantially alter the Affordable Care Act and emphasized that their focus was on flexibility for individuals.
But the reality is politics as usual...
President Obama and many Democratic lawmakers made promises that consumers could keep their current coverage under the healthcare law, and Republicans were eager to use those statements as leverage in their effort to retake the Senate.
The administration explicitly gave cover to 13 vulnerable Democratic lawmakers such as Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) and Rep. Ron Barber (D-Ariz.) by saying the extension was developed in “close consultation” with those members.
Meaning that you can keep your health plan (well beyond the Tea Party's original demands that were so rancorously disavowed last year by the Democrats)...
The policy prolongs the administration's “keep your plan” fix from last fall and applies to the individual and small-group insurance markets, potentially affecting 12.5 million people, officials said.
The timetable will allow consumers to renew old health plans for the last time on Oct. 1, 2016, meaning some plans will continue into 2017 under the next president.
Administration officials denied that the 2016 campaign season will see its own wave of cancellation notices, predicting that most people will have migrated into the new marketplaces by then.

We've constantly been told by this admin that the law is the law, and ACA is law. But, this admin changes ACA on a whim to suit their motives. I am making this statement not to be mean, but rather because it is time to seriously consider that Barack Obama is not mentally healthy. I am saying this because he is continuing to run farther and farther away from reality in his actions, and believes that whatever he says – becomes the made-over reality that exists only in his mind.
Take his statement that "100-million" people have signed up for ObamaCare - that's nearly 1/3 of the entire 315-million person population of the US. It is a number that prima fascia is irrational.
But Obama stated it as a fact anyway to his Obamabots in Organizing for America. They showed their lack of rational relationship by accepting the number - regardless of its obvious irrational ability to be true. As an aside, it shows that these people are brain-dead, and just accept that whatever Obama says is the truth - with no rational vetting whatsoever.
That's truly scary.
But scarier still is this: NO ONE in the WH dared correct him. No statement came out saying so much as issuing the typical lame excuse that he "misspoke." Nothing. The WH enablers fell silent (as did the Looney Tunes Left MSM).
Why?
This is what makes their silence so scary: It means that the WH aides are at a point where they so fear the mad king's wrath that they will abandon reality for his irrational fantasies. They will no longer be a wall of reality constraining his thinking to the Real World.
In short, they are no longer Gatekeepers, but rather like “Alice in Wonderland,” they are the cards painting the roses red for the insane Queen of Hearts.

There's a great book about the Vietnam debacle, "Dereliction of Duty," by McMaster, a history professor at West Point. You should check it out. Vietnam was an embarrassment and a blight on 20th century American history.

It may be that the only Americans you've met who self-identify as conservative are card-carrying Republicans. This is something I find myself very frustrated with regularly. Of Team Bush, which started reckless Wilsonian military adventures overseas in regions where there was no US strategic interest, refused to roll back the abortion holocaust when given the chance, destroyed 1st Amendment liberties with the unPatriot Act, basically repealed US immigration laws with blatantly unconstitutional amnesty legislation, and even voiced support of a renewal of the 1994 Clinton "assault weapons ban" when it sunset in 2004, all one needs to ask is, "With conservatives like these, who the hell needs liberals?"
Talk to your Republican friends about these things and you'll discover who the real conservatives are. There is absolutely no reason for a conservative American to vote for the Stupid Party.

The answer this time is the same as it was the last time 0zer0 tried this delay. A big FU by the insurance companies (at least those in Calif). Those plans are gone, and are never coming back. But the real issue, is that NOTHING 0zer0 does now is going to make any difference. The 0zer0care train is heading down the tracks to the washed out river gorge bridge this November. I have been saying it for months, the Risk Pools have been oblitereated! The young invinceables are not signing up, only the old and very sick. By the end of this month the insurance companies are going to have all the financials on what a disaster this is. That's when they will ask for, and get the insurer bailout written into 0zer0care. Just wait when that becomes public knowledge. I am 100% convinced 0zer0 will bail out the insurers just like the law mandates, because if he doesn't the insurers will sue (they have standing), and they will win. That will open the floodgate of lawsuits that will destroy 0zer0care one piece at a time. No way 0zer0 can take that risk, so he will bail out the insurers, Count on it.
But that isn't the worst. Even with a bailout, that will only be for losses incurred so far. That won't account for FUTURE losses, that will continue because the law is a total clusterfuck, plus 0zer0 keeps fucking it even more with delays. That means the insurers will jack up premiums to offset future costs. Only this time, it means double digit increases for EMPLOYER plans. This latest delay is only for small/medium business, and that only accounts for about 20% of the Employer plans. That means the vast majority are going to see rate increases. Those will be known to businesses this summer so they can plan their 2015 budgets. And the actual notices to employees will go out in September to meet the 90 day WARN notification for benefit changes effective Jan 2015. Employers will have 2 choices this summer. Pass on double digit premium hikes to employees, or do away with employer plans.
The absolute shitstorm that this is going to happen for dumbcrats this fall is going be epic. It will be about 10x worse then the shitstorm 0zer0care caused last fall. The bottom line, is there is NOTHING 0zer0 can do to stop it. It's all being driven by financials that have been affected by the risk pools that have already been obliterated. The horse has left the barn. The fact that the dumbcrats are even trying this shows they have reached desperation panic levels. They are beginning to understand how bad it is going to get in a few months.

Lets see....being truly stupid and naive I actually took the deadline seriously and changed my wife's health plan. Now I pay the same premium as before, but there is now an annual $5,000 deductible....so the real cost of this plan about doubled....and the insurance company is getting part of the premium for providing maternity benefits which I rather doubt will ever be used by a 62 year old....what a great deal.
Before we go off to save the rest of the world it would be very nice if we took care of our own problems first....we could start by getting rid of the state department, the CIA, NSA, and the rest of them that get us involved in other peoples' problems solely for the benefit of one or another special interest group, be it Big Oil, Israel, or banking, but I repeat myself.
