Gunmaker Stocks Outperform Post-Sandy Hook

Tyler Durden's picture

Smith & Wesson’s earnings report gave renewed momentum to a rally in gun-making stocks, which began amid a debate about firearms that followed the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting 15 months ago. As Bloomberg notes, many gun enthusiasts have stocked up on weapons to avoid potential restrictions in response to the Sandy Hook incident, the second-deadliest mass killing at a school in U.S. history, and that has driven stocks like Sturm Ruger to handily outperform even the highest of high-beta momo indices like the Russell 2000. SWHC was up 16% after earnings - its biggest gain since the shooting - as it beat expectations once again.

"The market should continue to be supported” as new gun owners purchase additional firearms, Ronald Bookbinder, a New Orleans-based analyst at Benchmark Co., wrote yesterday.

Sandy HOAX.

Bad Attitude's picture

Why is nobody blaming the manufacturer of the vehicle Adam Lanza used to drive to the Sandy Hook school? Why is nobody blaming the computer game authors who "trained" Lanza how to mercilessly slaughter? Blaming automobile manufactures or computer game authors for Lanza's criminal conduct makes as much sense as blaming the guns for Lanza's criminal conduct.

Didnt that car belong to the heroin-dealer guy they caught in the woods?

Sandy Hook Busted Wide Open.

Notice: This video was unfairly removed from our YouTube

after extensive pressure on YouTube from Sony, acting on behalf of the United States, because this video contains solid and irrefutable evidence, that clearly reveals the Sandy Hook Shooting, is a CIA operation - a FALSE FLAG staged event.

Pinktip's picture

There's an aerial  picture of it next to the school with all four doors open and 4 black shirts on the ground.

Damn'it Tyler, now SWHC will be Kors'd and get hit with the Barons / Newsweek Cover curse on Monday. Jig's up, everyone back into Sony and Tepco.

Freddie's picture

Seriously - go on Youtube and watch some of the videos.  I did not believe it was a false flag hoax and then I watched a lot of the videos.

1. No one saw Adam Lanza for like 3 or 4 years.

2. The very small number of kids interviewed be a few brave reporters on camera after the shoot said they heard no gun shots.  They just heard cops kicking at doors.  26 people killed?  So you would have at least 40 shots fired but no one heard them.   Try shoot a gun in a building.  People would hear it.

3. One kid carries 4 hand guns into a school, kills 26 people with NO SURVIVORS in a few minutes because any cop car would have been there in 5 minutes.

4. Crisis actors. WHo all seemed to be acting when interviewed and they were later found on actor talent agent web sites.

5. Weird real estate transactions all at the same day on many houses before the event.

6. Someone on ZH posted a web site where an ex police man from Florida, credible guy, is filing requests for documents and is getting no responses. Like the name of the firm who did the cleanup for all the supposed blood and gore.

7. The kids were walked out single file with their eyes closed so they would not be traumatized but what they saw.

8. Retouched pictures that are obvious fakes.

I was skeptical until I watched all the videos.

and then they demo'd the building just to make sure no one could go looking for bullet holes

" and then they demo'd the building just to make sure no one could go looking for bullet holes "

Interesting. Maybe they should have conducted the operation on the 9/11 ... everything would have been clearer from the beginning.

Why is nobody blaming.........

It's the governments fault.  The government extorted money from citizens via taxes to build roads and schools and then forced citizens to use them.  Citizens are never responsible for thier own actions. Citizens are always victims. That's why more government is needed.

DoChenRollingBearing's picture

How about that, there is justice!

+ 1 for Molon Labe!

DoChenRollingBearing's picture

Is that going to happen up in Canada too?

fonestar's picture

They always try but Canadians love their guns as much as Americans do.

Where is Robbie Parker?  fonestar hopes they bring back Gene Rosen for the next season of America's Funniest False Flags.

I hope the "knockout game" finds Robbie Parker.

Hey fonestar, allow me to congratulate you. You realize that you succeeded in posting 2 replies without even getting a single down vote ?  ... at least at the time I'm writing this.

Of course, you realize, too, that this doesn't really count .....     the article wasn't about BitCoin.

Mr Pink's picture

So all along I was sure that Sandy Hook was false flag event orchastrated by the government when it was really Big Gun that pulled it off to boost sales!

Meat Hammer's picture

It's definitely possible.  They could have pols in their pockets paid to scream gun control knowing that this will cause Muricans to buy with both fists.

NRA membership went way up, too.

ArrestBobRubin's picture

This Murican just purchased a .40 Smith & Wesson M&P Shield to add to the collection. Now for that other fist...

OT but why don't people resent having to give id to buy a mobile phone? Every country I go to has the same requirement even tin pot islands in the middle of F'g nowhere -do we all now believe we're potential terrorists?

skwid vacuous's picture

More psy-ops! the next one will surely convince the sheeple that guns are evil!

fonestar's picture

Probably not if it doesn't even work on some virtual douchetard like fonestar.

DoChenRollingBearing's picture

Even virtual guys like real guns and real gold.  But, only the top guns like real bearings....

The Gooch's picture

One's bearings make the world go 'round.

DoChenRollingBearing's picture

Hey!  No bearings and our delivery vehicle wheels would not work.  Then we could not deliver our bearings.

Um, circular reasoning?

I wish all these gun patriots would get off their asses and take back their country.

I mean, what are they waiting for?    First the Keynen eliminates the 2nd Amendment and then plans the 911 attacks so he can suspends the 4th amendment and now we've got Snowdon in the Ukraine with Putin making fun of this country's flag.  Where are the men?

nmewn's picture

Maybe "real men" aren't the least bit interested in fighting for a people who only raise their eyes long enough to see if my stolen property has cleared over into their accounts.

This country needs a good enema...and Obama's just the guy to give it.

i've been touring merica down 35 I to te hose, and it is a sad state of affairs, over weight, dirty and garbage all over the place, like people don't give a shit. oh yea, plenty of nice folks and southern hospitality second to none. having breakfast with 4 screens of mind wash and two dudes talking b ball rap. oh yea, real stimulative.  and the trucks in te hose, fuckin red'culas.

Good luck, there are many.

But remember, only one at a time and choose them carefully ;-)

FBI NICS background checks for FEB were up quite a lot compared to January.  They are not as high YOY, but are still incredibly higher since Obama was elected.

Gun sales are still going strong.  This is now the new normal.  SWHC had a great earnings report.  Their margins are wonderful.  Lots of shorts got burned.  They probably will beat again next Qtr and should announce another stock buy back and or dividend.  They might even get bought out.  IMO, SWHC is way undervalued.  And RGR has announced a stock buy back after their last earnings report.  Their CEO also recently purchased shares.  Do your own research.  Good luck.

Meat Hammer's picture

I remember right after Sandy Hoax, the uber p.c. libtard-managed CalPers divested its portfolio of all gun manufacturer's stocks, to make a statement about not supporting "gun violence".  SWHC's share price was about $8.00 at the time.  Today it's almost $14.  I'm sure the 75% profit wasn't missed. Fuckin idiots.  Great statement there.

Now, even a finanical ignoramus like myself could figure out that I should invest in companies whose products were flying off the shelves at higher and higher prices.

Platinum's picture

People like that think that emotions and intent matter more than logic and results. They get what they deserve in all areas.

dobermangang's picture

The CEO of SWHC stated in the earnings call that they were actually raising prices on certain guns.  Sounds bullish to me.

You bet your ass they will.

I was skecptical until I watched a lot of the videos.  Unbelievable.   Total BS.  You watch one video and say yeah well it really probably happened. You watch another then 5 or 6 more and by about the 12th video you realize it has to be totally fake.   The crisis actors are so bad is just one of about a 100 variables.
