Was The Price Of Ukraine's "Liberation" The Handover Of Its Gold To The Fed?
A curious story, and one which should be taken with a mine of salt, has surfaced out of the pro-Russian newspaper Iskra, which reports - so far on an entirely unsubstantiated basis - that last Friday, in a mysterious operation under the cover of night, Ukraine's gold reserves were promptly loaded onboard an unmarked plane, which subsequently took the gold to the US.

Tonight, around at 2:00 am, an unregistered transport plane took off took off from Boryspil airport.
According to Boryspil staff, prior to the plane's appearance, four trucks and two cargo minibuses arrived at the airport all with their license plates missing. Fifteen people in black uniforms, masks and body armor stepped out, some armed with machine guns. These people loaded the plane with more than forty heavy boxes.
After this, several mysterious men arrived and also entered the plane. The loading was carried out in a hurry. After unloading, the plateless cars immediately left the runway, and the plane took off on an emergency basis.
Airport officials who saw this mysterious "special operation" immediately notified the administration of the airport, which however strongly advised them "not to meddle in other people's business."
Later, the editors were called by one of the senior officials of the former Ministry of Income and Fees, who reported that, according to him, tonight on the orders of one of the "new leaders" of Ukraine, all the gold reserves of the Ukraine were taken to the United States.
Indicatively, according to the latest IMF figures, Ukraine's official gold holdings are just over 40 tons, having doubled in the past decade:
So just more disinformation and propaganda surrounding the Ukraine, or something more? GATA has submitted an inquiry into the New York Fed to get official denial (because it certainly won't get a confirmation) from the Liberty 33 folks.
Of course, the best source of validation, and refutation, of this story would be the people of Ukraine, alas since not even Americans are entitled to observe how much gold is in Fort Knox, somehow we doubt that the Central Bank of Ukraine will be any more lenient in providing visiting and viewing hours for its much more compact gold inventory. Especially since the local population is far more busy celebrating its "liberation" by western powers.
We hope, for their sake, they weren't also just "liberated" of all their gold, which after a brief stay 80 feet below the surface at 33 Liberty, will promptly find its way either to the Bundesbank, or to the billionaire oligarchs, based either in London or elsewhere, and currently in charge of "post-liberation" Ukraine.
Finally, putting this into perspective, 40 tons of gold is roughly what China imports every ten days.

try ascending by percent of reserves held in gold. note the big names (and big implied amounts of foreign reserves) holding under five percent of reserves in gold: china, saudi, taiwan, algeria, singapore, colombia, indonesia, south korea, brazil, japan.
imagine the market action if and when (of course china is in fairly frenzied action now) these reserves of largely dollars are attempted to be converted.

The Russians were a great help in this scheme even if unknowingly. Why would the Ukrainians keep the gold with Russian troops a few hours away? Sell it now stash the cash in the Caymans (or New York or London) then you're just a helicopter's flight away from a comfortable exile. I was istening to CNBC on Sirius last week and Alan Greenspan was being interviewed. I have not heard anyone or seen anywhere the comment that just floored me. He was asked about the dollar being the "safe haven" and he didn't spout off all the bullshit about the reason being the belief in the US economy or belief in the US system of capitalism. First thing is first. The Russians were paying 100 million dollars officialy a year for the base and who knows how much more under the table. Second without that Black Sea Base it was over for the Russians as a naval power in the Black Sea or Mediterranean where there is a lot of gas and oil to be found, especially around the Black Sea and around Crimea. Crimea is also one of the most beautiful places on Earth, I will put my favorite link again at the end. The vacation value of this place is unimaginable, lots of money to be made off of property there, as in hotels, condo developments etc. Also great vineyards there and so on. That Crime is a GOLD MINE that just keeps on giving year after year. Not to mention the Russians LOVE and ADORE a Crimean Vacation, its warmest part of Russia.

Also in my previous post about Crimea the Russian were giving deep discounts on gas trying to Keep Crimea base which most likely with the gas discounts added up to a bilion dollars a year in what it cost the Russians. The Russians are now saving a ton of money. That is why they announced plans for a bridge on the East part of Ukraine and a billion dollar investment this year in infrastructure.
The funny thing in the Romania gold deal is that the Romanians would of gotten only twenty percent of the gold proceeds and they would of been payed back not with gold but with worthless dollars lol, also the twenty percent is worst that what African countries get on their mining concessions. That is how bad the corruption was in this case. I am sure the concessions in Ukraine have been bought by Tribe members for pennies on the dollar and they will spirit this gold out of the mountains and out of the country and leave the Ukrainians with lakes of cyanide. Why is the Tribe so anti-Gentile?

The IMF is working hard to get Romania in debt further by helping fund its purchase of third hand F16s, made in the mid 1980s, from Portugal for one billion dollars for 12 planes, the deal brokered by the USA includes maintenance, outrageously expensive and very suspect that bribes were paid for Romania to take on such a bad deal. So far the People in Romania have resisted mining with demonstrations as well as the fracking of Chevron's test wells in shale deposits that could contaminate a huge aquifer in Dobrogea Region of Romania (probably one of the largest aquifers in Europe). Once further in debt its only a matter of time before the USA puts pressure on Romania to acquiesce to gold mining and gas drilling. Not to mention that with a base in the country they can monitor all communications in the country. The planes are not necessary right now, Romania participated quite fine in NATO exercises with its older MIGs which had an electronics package update not too long ago.

there was massive corruption and it is said the contract was given to Bechtel because of American support for Romania entering Nato. The Jet fighter deal is a major rip off also, where there are accusations of bribes and corruption. The Romanians could of bought new Gripens, or Italian made fighters or Korean Fighters in greater number, with better electronics, and of course new.
